This socialisation activity aims to optimise the utilisation in processing fishery products through making shredded tilapia with young jackfruit as an additional ingredient in the Kedungpeluk Village area, which is located in Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency. The method used was observation, interview, preparation of work programme and practice in making shredded tilapia. The activity began with socialisation to the PKK women's group to increase understanding and skills in processing tilapia into shredded fish. The use of young jackfruit is a form of innovation in developing local food potential and is an effort to diversify food which is a diversity of products consumed and improve the value of fibre in processed meat such as shredded which has low fibre. This socialisation activity is expected to be able to provide direction to the Empowerment and Family Welfare (PKK) women's group in Kedungpeluk Village, Candi Subdistrict, Sidoarjo Regency to gain knowledge and skills in processing tilapia and young jackfruit into processed products

Similarity Analysis of Clinical Notes for Revealing Writing Styles in an Electronic Medical Record System.

One of the disadvantages of medical documentation in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is that records tend to be redundant by "copying and pasting", a writing style to duplicate and revise previous records. In this study, we analyzed the similarity between records to identify the factors affecting the writing style of clinical notes. We analyzed 98,038 records of 4,149 patients from two years in the Department of Obstetricians and Gynecology at Kyoto University Hospital, Japan. We observed the correlation between the distribution of the record similarity and string amounts, as well as the disease codes and ratios of outpatient visit. The patient group with high record similarity and large number of strings was the group with reproductive medicine, followed by the group of malignant tumor follow-up or Women's Healthcare. In reproductive medicine, physicians have a demand for an overarching evaluation, and in follow-up malignancies or in Women's Healthcare, they have a demand to check for subtle differences from the last time. These facts along with our data insist that the writing style in EMR systems is related to the patient's status. We declared that the writing style in EMR systems is affected by the patient's status. The writing style of duplicating and revising is preferred (1) when there is a clinical demand for an overarching evaluation, and (2) when there is a clinical demand to check for subtle differences from the last time.

The Synergic Effect of Tubal Endometriosis and Women's Aging on Fallopian Tube Function: Insights from a 3D Mechanical Model.

The fallopian tubes are essential for human fertility, facilitating the movement of sperm and oocytes to the fertilization site and transporting fertilized oocytes to the uterus. Infertility can result from changes in the fallopian tubes due to tubal endometriosis and women's aging. In this study, we modeled human fallopian tubes with and without endometriosis for different women's age groups to evaluate the chances of normal sperm cells reaching the fertilization site and oocytes arriving at the uterine cavity. For this purpose, we employed a distinctive combination of simulation tools to develop a dynamic three-dimensional (3D) model of normal human sperm cells and oocytes swimming inside normal and endometriosis-affected human fallopian tubes for different women's group ages. We observed that in tubal endometriosis cases, fewer sperm cells reach the fertilization site and more oocytes become trapped in the tube walls compared to normal tubes. Additionally, aging decreases the number of sperm cells and oocytes reaching the fertilization site in normal and endometriosis-affected tubes. Our model evaluates the mechanisms of sperm and oocyte behaviors due to women's aging and fallopian tube issues caused by endometriosis, presenting new avenues for developing diagnostic and treatment tools for tubal endometriosis and age-related infertility issues.

This study aims to determine the quality of broiler chicken eggs soaked in Moringa leaf solution. This research was conducted by immersing purebred chicken eggs in Moringa leaf solution for 1 day and using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with a sample of 80 purebred chicken eggs consisting of 4 treatments where each treatment consisted of 4 replications and each replication consists of 5 samples. Each treatment of the experimental design used in this study was P0 (without treatment), P1 (addition of 20% Moringa leaf solution), P2 (addition of 30% Moringa leaf solution), P3 (addition of 40% Moringa leaf solution). The variables observed were egg Kuningindex, egg white index and air voids.The results of the study showed that soaking chicken eggs in Moringa leaf solution at P3 (soaking in 40% Moringa leaf solution) had a real effect on the egg white index. Education and Training on Making Carrot Hard Candy and Dragon Fruit Soft Candy for Stunting Prevention

Stunting is a form of chronic malnutrition associated with prolonged nutritional deficiencies. One crucial way to meet the nutritional needs of young children is by consuming vegetables and fruits, which are primary sources of micronutrients. Vegetables and fruits are vital for the body as sources of vitamins, minerals, and fiber, essential for achieving a healthy diet according to balanced nutrition guidelines. Vitamins are particularly crucial for maintaining body health. Carrots (Daucus carota L) and dragon fruit (Hylocereus sp.) are highly nutritious vegetables and fruits, containing high levels of carotene, vitamin A, B, C, and various minerals. Providing education and training to individuals and community groups, especially those at risk, aims to enhance knowledge, foster healthy habits and behaviors, and ultimately prevent stunting in the community. This community service project consists of preparation, observation, and implementation stages. The project involved 30 participants from the community and the PKK women's group in Kerang Village, Takeran District, Magetan Regency, East Java Province. The results indicated high participant enthusiasm, as seen from their active engagement. The community learned about the benefits of carrot hard candy and dragon fruit soft candy and understood the process of making these nutritious candies. From a low level of understanding before the education, there was an increase in understanding, and the community's low skill level improved after the training.

Individual interventions, collective lessons: Developing mid-range theory on women's groups to improve health.

Interventions with women's groups have been widely implemented to improve health outcomes in low- and middle-income settings, particularly India. While there is a large evidence base on the effectiveness of single interventions, it is challenging to predict whether a women's group intervention delivered in one setting can be expected to work in another. We applied realist principles to develop and refine a mid-range theory on the effectiveness of women's groups interventions, summarised key lessons for implementation, and reflected on the process. We synthesised primary data from several interventions in India, a systematic review, and an analysis of behaviour change techniques. We developed mid-range theories across three areas: maternal and newborn health, nutrition, and violence against women, as well as an overarching mid-range theory on how women's groups can improve health. Our overarching mid-range theory suggested that effective interventions should: build group or community capabilities; focus on health outcomes relevant to group members; and approach health issues modifiable through women's individual or collective actions. We identified four key lessons for future interventions with women's groups, including the importance of skilled and remunerated facilitation, sufficient intensity, supply-side strengthening, and the need to adapt delivery during scale up while maintaining fidelity to intervention theory. Our experience demonstrated the feasibility of developing mid-range theory from a combination of evidence and insights from practice. It also underscored the importance of community engagement and ongoing research to 'thicken' mid-range theories to design effective and scalable women's groups interventions in India and similar settings.

Effects of Two Types of Resistance Training Modalities (Hypertrophy vs. Contrast Training) on Bone Parameters in a Group of Healthy Elderly Women

The aim of the present study was to explore the effects of two types of resistance training modalities (hypertrophy training vs. contrast training) on bone health parameters in a group of healthy elderly women. Forty-nine healthy elderly women whose ages range between 60 and 70 years were included in this study. The study population was randomly divided into three groups: hypertrophy training group (HTG; n=16), contrast training group (CTG; n=16) and control group (CG; n=17). Bone mineral density (BMD) values at the whole body (WB), lumbar spine (L1-L4), total hip (TH) and femoral neck (FN) were measured by DXA before and after 12 months of resistance training. Composite indices of femoral neck strength were calculated. WB BMD, L1-L4 BMD, TH BMD and FN BMD increased in the contrast training group. WB BMD and L1-L4 BMD increased in the hypertrophy training group, while TH BMD and FN BMD remained unchanged. Significant decreases in WB BMD, L1-L4 BMD, TH BMD and FN BMD were observed in the control group. The contrast training group showed the highest improvements in BMD values compared to the two other groups. Both experimental groups (HTG and CTG) showed similar significant improvements in composite indices of femoral neck strength and muscular strength. In conclusion, contrast training and hypertrophy training can stimulate bone gain at clinically important sites of osteoporotic fractures in elderly women.

The integration of practical experience, interdisciplinary approaches, and the cultivation of an entrepreneurial mindset are important components in the evolution of social entrepreneurship education. The aim of writing this article is to determine the improvement in the quality of training through social entrepreneurial innovation and the availability of resources as an effort to empower the community (case study of the implementation of social entrepreneurial educational innovation through natural soap making training). This activity involves several campuses and prospective entrepreneurs from the East Medan Village Women's group, held at the East Medan Village PKK park on Tuesday 14 May 2024, from 08.00 to 08.00. finished. Activities carried out begin with providing theory followed by direct practice on the spot. The results obtained are proven educational innovation through innovative training, practical experience such as making natural soap, and a comprehensive understanding of the principles of social entrepreneurship can enrich social entrepreneurship education. By implementing this approach, educational institutions can empower students or prospective entrepreneurs to become effective agents of change in overcoming complex social and environmental challenges.

How Does Listening to “Fetal Heartbeats” Affect the Feelings of Pregnant Women?

OBJECTIVES: This study was conducted to evaluate the impact of listening to fetal heartbeats (FHBs) on the feelings of normal and high-risk pregnancies (HRPs), and to learn the colors and geometrical figures representing their feelings. STUDY DESIGN: This retrospective study consisted of 291 pregnant women who applied for a non-stress test (NST). Participants were divided into two groups; 1: Normal pregnancies (Group1) and 2: HRPs (Group2). Demographic variables, feelings in response to listening to FHBs (negative, neutral, positive), grade mark (0-10) of feelings, color (warm, neutral, cold), and figure (simple, complex) preferences were retrospectively evaluated. RESULTS: Of the 291 women, 172 (59.1%) Group 1 participants were compared to 119 (40.9%) Group 2 participants. Group 1 and Group 2 had similar feelings (p>0.05), however, the rate of negative feelings was higher in Group 2 (11.6% vs. 20.2%). Higher marks were observed in Group 2 with happiness and peace/relaxation after listening to FHBs. Fear was the lowest mark in women with positive/neutral feelings in both groups. Women in Group 1 preferred warm colors regardless of their feelings. Women in Group 2 who have positive feelings chose warm colors, whereas women who felt neutral or negative more commonly chose cold (55.5%) and neutral (41.7%) colors (p=0.017). Independent of feelings, simple figures were predominately preferred (p=0.04). CONCLUSION: NST is more than a perinatal surveillance method and listening to FHBs has a positive impact on the feelings of pregnancies. Warm colors were commonly related to positive feelings. Simple figures were preferred regardless of feelings.

Factors Inhibiting Persuasive Communication of Agricultural Extension Workers Through Internet Media in Accelerating Information Dissemination in Farmer Women Groups in Ponorogo Regency, Indonesia

The development of digital information technology today allows the use of various media for agricultural extension. The internet has become an important medium in disseminating information, including for agricultural extension workers and farmer women groups. Agricultural extension workers have a crucial role in conveying information persuasively and are expected to utilize internet media to support their tasks and accelerate the dissemination of information to farmers. This study examines the obstacles in persuasive communication carried out by agricultural extension workers using internet media to accelerate the dissemination of information to Farmer Women Groups in Ponorogo Regency. The method used is qualitative descriptive with data analysis through in-depth interviews and participatory observation. The informants in this study consisted of agricultural extension workers and members of farmer women groups in Babadan District. The results of the study showed that there were technical obstacles such as lack of technological facilities and uneven internet access, as well as time limitations due to the dual roles of group members. Low digital literacy is also an obstacle, influenced by age, low education, and lack of technological experience. Behavioral barriers include a preference for in-person counseling and age stereotypes, where older members lack confidence in using technology. The influence of the social environment also plays a role. The suggested solutions include increasing digital literacy, improving technological infrastructure, and handling stereotypes and negative social influences to increase the effectiveness of counseling.

Pemberdayaan Kelompok Wanita Tani Dalam Mengolah Produk Pasca Panen Minuman Sereh Lemon Selasih

This community service aims to empower women's farmer groups in processing post-harvest products, specifically lemongrass lemon basil drink. The target of this activity is the Garuda RW 12 Women's Farmer Group in Cipayung Village, Ciputat District, South Tangerang City, which has great potential in developing processed products from local agricultural produce. The activity was conducted on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the RW 12 Hall Office and the local garden. The method used in this activity includes intensive training and mentoring, covering the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. The training encompasses processing techniques, packaging, and marketing strategies for the lemongrass lemon basil drink product. The results show that the women's farmer group can process lemongrass lemon basil drink with good quality standards. Additionally, there was an increase in the knowledge and skills of group members in technical and managerial aspects. The products also received positive feedback from the local market, reflected in increased sales and consumer interest. The implications of this activity are the enhancement of the economic welfare of the women's farmer group through the diversification of post-harvest processed products and the strengthening of their capacity to develop small-scale agricultural-based businesses. This empowerment is expected to serve as a model that can be applied in other villages with similar conditions

Evaluation of the RISE II integrated social and behavior change approach in Niger: A contribution analysis.

Niger faces a myriad of health challenges and development efforts are complicated by persistent poverty, high population growth rates, and climate change. Integrated social and behavior change (SBC) addresses health outcomes through collective action and approaches at the limited points of entry individuals have with the health system. We conducted a mixed-methods study to evaluate the effectiveness of an integrated SBC program in the Maradi, and Zinder regions of Niger. We applied contribution analysis, a theory-based plausibility analysis, to assess contributions of the intervention. We found the program contributed to improved behavioral determinants. Male engagement and income generating activities provided further support for women to practice health behaviors. However, increases in male partner out-migration was negatively associated with health outcomes. While the program did not generate statistically significant improvements in health outcomes in the intervention area, exposure to health messages and participation in women's groups were positively associated with health outcomes suggesting sustained implementation of the integrated SBC approach at scale may achieve improved health outcomes. Programs should continue to invest in health promotion efforts that include gender sensitive interventions. Further research is needed to understand how women's agency and autonomy evolves as household composition changes through male out-migration.

The Trust as a Linchpin when Social Norms and Network Effect on the Productivity of Farmer Women's Group

This study aims to provide empirical evidence that social norms and networks affect the productivity of farmer women's groups by mediating beliefs. The subjects of this study were 121 farmer women in the Kanigaran Farmer women’s group, Kanigaran District, Probolinggo City. The samples were all taken by proportional random sample method. The data used is in the form of primary data from the results of questionnaires distributed to respondents, while data analysis uses SEM PLS. The results showed that social norms and networks affect trust. It was also revealed that social norms and networks also affect the productivity of farmer women's groups. Furthermore, the study also found that trust affects the productivity of farmer women's groups and at the same time trust can mediate the influence of social norms and networks on the productivity of farmer women's groups.

Women's Economic Transformation: A Literature Review on Empowerment through Entrepreneurship and Financial Inclusion in Pekalongan, Indonesia

This systematic literature review (SLR) explores factors influencing women's empowerment through entrepreneurship and financial inclusion in Pekalongan. Key elements supporting or hindering women entrepreneurs include access to capital, entrepreneurship education, training, and robust support networks. Financial inclusion, encompassing banking services, microcredit, and financial education, is crucial for enhancing women's economic capacity and independence. The research employs a structured SLR methodology, using databases like Scopus to identify relevant studies from the past decade. The data collection involves keyword identification, literature search, screening, full-text review, and data extraction, followed by thematic analysis and coding. The findings reveal that well-designed government and NGO programs significantly impact women's economic and social well-being, with success dependent on local context and sustained support. Policy recommendations for Pekalongan include increasing access to financial services through microcredit and entrepreneurship training, expanding financial education programs, strengthening support networks via women's business groups and mentoring, and addressing socio-cultural barriers. Tailored policies and programs that consider the local context are essential for effective implementation. This study's comprehensive approach, combining women's entrepreneurship and financial inclusion within Pekalongan's context, provides practical recommendations for policymakers and enriches existing literature, offering a framework for future research and policy development in similar socio-economic settings.

A Novel Approach to Mentorship in Pediatric Cardiology: A Group for Women.

Gender disparities for female physicians in academic medicine are longstanding. Female pediatric cardiologists experience inequities in scholarship opportunities, promotion, leadership positions, and compensation. Mentorship groups have been successfully implemented in other subspecialities with promising results. We created a peer mentorship group for female pediatric cardiologists in the Northeast and completed a needs assessment survey of eligible participants. Our goal was to better understand the current challenges and identify resources to overcome these barriers. Our objectives were to (1) describe the creation of a novel mentorship program for female pediatric cardiologists and trainees in the Northeast United States, and (2) report the results of a formal needs assessment survey of all eligible participants. All female pediatric cardiology fellows and practicing pediatric and adult congenital heart disease specialists from 15 academic centers in New England were invited to join a free group with virtual meetings. A formal needs assessment survey was provided electronically to all eligible members. The vast majority of respondents agreed that the Women in Pediatric Cardiology (WIPC) group is a valuable networking and mentorship experience (90%) and would recommend this group to a colleague (95%). Members have witnessed or experienced inequities in a broad range of settings. Common challenges experienced by respondents include dependent care demands, lack of mentorship, inadequate research support, and inequitable clinical responsibilities. Resources suggested to overcome these barriers include mentorship, sponsorship, transparency in compensation, and physician coaching. Mentorship groups have the potential to address many challenges faced by women in medicine. The WIPC Northeast program provides a forum for community, collaboration, education, and scholarship.

Pemanfaatan Limban Kulit Durian Menjadi Briket Di Desa Sambirejo Kecamatan Wonosalam Kabupaten Jombang

The PKK Women's Group in Sambirejo Village, Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency has the potential to produce briquettes from durian peel waste. This is supported by the large amount of waste waste that is wasted. The use of durian peel waste in Sambirejo Village has never been done before. The empowerment activity of the PKK Women's Group in Sambirejo Village aims to provide information, training and assistance regarding how to use durian peel waste into products that have a selling value and can reduce environmental waste. This activity received a positive response from the PKK Women's Movement and Village Apparatus in Sambirejo. From the results of this empowerment activity, the Sambirejo Village PKK Women's Group was able to process and utilize durian peel waste into a product that has a selling value.

CHILD LABOUR IN INDIA AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS - AN ASSESSMENT

Child labour refers to the exploitation of minors through any type of employment that robs them of their youth, prevents them from attending a regular school, or is detrimental to their mental, physical, social, or moral development. Child labour enriches minors and infringes their rights. MGNREGA lacks funding but offers unskilled labour. By utilizing women's self-help groups and microfinance, UBIS hopes to eradicate child labour in rural areas by 2025. Prioritizing knowledge production and evidence translation, rescuing and rehabilitating labourers, and implementing free education are essential. By 2025, governments have to prioritize law enforcement, coordinated policies, and small labour rights. Over 75% of Indians are farmers, and large-scale income strategies like MGNREGA and agro-based enterprises are needed to reduce child labour and poverty. By 2025, UBIS, increased budgets, social safety nets, and stronger public policy are needed.

Differences in whole blood before and after hemodialysis session of subjects with chronic kidney disease measured by Raman spectroscopy.

This study aimed to identify differences in the composition of whole blood of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), before and after a hemodialysis session (HDS), and possible differences in blood composition between stages and between genders using Raman spectroscopy and principal component analysis (PCA). Whole blood samples were collected from 40 patients (20 women and 20 men), before and after a HDS. Raman spectra were obtained and the spectra were evaluated by PCA and partial least squares (PLS) regression. Mean spectra and difference spectrum between the groups were calculated: stages Before and After HDS, and gender Women and Men, which had their most intense peaks identified. Stage: mean spectra and difference spectrum indicated positive peaks that could be assigned to red blood cells, hemoglobin and deoxi-hemoglobin in the group Before HDS. There was no statistically significant difference by PCA. Gender: mean spectra and difference spectrum Before HDS indicated positive peaks that could be assigned to red blood cells, hemoglobin and deoxi-hemoglobin with greater intensity in the group Women, and negative peaks to white blood cells and serum, with greater intensity in the group Men. There was statistically significant difference by PCA, which also identified the peaks assigned to white blood cells, serum and porphyrin for Women and red blood cells and amino acids (tryptophan) for Men. PLS model was able to classify the spectra of the gender with 83.7% accuracy considering the classification per patient. The Raman technique highlighted gender differences in pacients with CKD.
