To Develop the Local Wisdom Learning Material Based on Contextual Teaching and Studying for Increasing Social Character

This research aims to analyze: (1) the feasibility of Local Wisdom Social Sciences teaching materials based on contextual teaching and learning (CTL) to improve the social character of Class IV MIN 12 students in Medan Tembung District; (2) the practicality of Local Wisdom Social Sciences teaching materials based on contextual teaching and learning (CTL) to improve the social character of Class IV MIN 12 students in Medan Tembung District; (3) analyzing the effectiveness of Local Wisdom Social Sciences teaching materials based on contextual teaching and learning (CTL) to improve the social character of Class IV MIN 12 students in Medan Tembung District. Stages of developing teaching materials with Research & Development (R&D) research using the Thiagarajan 4-D model. This research was carried out at MIN 12 Medan Tembung District, Medan City. The subjects in this research consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class with 24 students and the control class with 23 students. Based on research, it shows that (1) The teaching materials developed are suitable for use to improve students' social character with scores obtained from material experts of 93.8%, language experts of 87.69%, and design experts of 93.10%, with the category "Very Worthy". (2) The teaching materials developed are practically used to improve students' social character with a score obtained from the teacher of 95%, in the "Very Practical" category. (3) The teaching materials developed were effectively used to improve students' social character, with scores obtained from the experimental class experiencing a significant increase. The average pretest score for students in the experimental class was 75, and the posttest score increased to an average of 93 with a gain value of 0.62, with "medium" criteria. Meanwhile, in the control class, the average student pretest score was 75 and the posttest score reached an average of 83, with a gain value of 0.27, with "low" criteria.

Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Kearifan Lokal Di SDI Mauloo

The main purpose of this research is to determine the development and validity of the development of teaching materials based on local wisdom learning media at SDI Mauloo. development of local wisdom-based learning media teaching materials at SDI Mauloo. (2) To determine the validity of the development of local wisdom-based learning media teaching materials at SDI Mauloo. This research was conducted at SDI Mauloo. This research was conducted in the even semester, starting from March 1 to April 1, 2022. This type of research is Research and Development(R&D) and the data collection tool is a questionnaire. The data sources for this research are 5th grade students and mathematics teachers at SDI Mauloo. Based on the results of these calculations, obtained for V the combined = 87.5% . Furthermore, the results of these calculations are interpreted with criteria. Based on the validity criteria, the assessment of the validator, namely for V combined = 87.5%, included in the valid criteria, so that this learning media module can be used without revision and is feasible to use during the learning process. The revisions and suggestions for improving the module are taken from the suggestions and input of the validators. So, the results of this study concluded that the mathematics learning device was a valid local wisdom-based learning media module.

Building Practical Wisdom in Business, Organisation and Management through Transformative Civic Education (´Bildung´)

This paper revisits the concept of Bildung as a transformative approach to civic education, aimed at renewing business and management education and organisational practices to foster both human and non-human flourishing and sustainability. It synthesises key insights from the literature on practical wisdom and wisdom learning to develop a conception of spiritually informed, embodied wiser practice in business, organisation, and management. As a component of transformative civic education, Bildung is demonstrated to have significant potential for cultivating the character traits, identity, and capabilities needed to address the profound ecological, economic, social, and cultural challenges of the Anthropocene. Specifically, the paper establishes a nexus between spirituality and embodied practical wisdom, advocating for more responsible and sustainable business practices and education. By leveraging the tradition of Bildung, both business practices and education can be rejuvenated through the development of the whole person within social praxis.

Research on the Strategy of Artificial Intelligence Technology in Enhancing the Quality of Students’ Civic and Political Education in Colleges and Universities

Abstract This study utilizes clustering algorithms, based on subject knowledge mapping, to construct a learning community that can support the comprehensive development of group wisdom, taking into account the learner portrait, initial learning community, and the learning path. In order to verify the validity of the E-GPPE-C model of wisdom learning, University X was selected to conduct a one-semester quasi-experimental study. Attitude data and outcome data from the pre- and post-teaching portraits were collected to analyze the effectiveness of teaching based on the amount of change and significance test. Using the E-GPPE-C model of smart learning proposed in this study, the number of learning achievers before and after teaching increased to 8, which can improve the learners’ academic performance in civics and politics (P<0.05) and their’ satisfaction with the learning environment. Many students believed that smart teaching had changed their ideal beliefs and knowledge base in civics and politics.

The use of vocabulary used in local wisdom learning often has errors that make it difficult for students to understand the material, besides the use of media that is less interesting makes students less interested in the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of using local wisdom-based educational games on students' writing skills in elementary school. This research is a quantitative study using experimental research methods with the form of true experimental design. The sampling technique in this study was simple random sampling technique with the lottery of grade 1 SDN Jetis 4 Lamongan. This study used a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects were grade 1 students of SDN Jetis 4 Lamongan. In this study the research subjects were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The data analysis technique used is hypothesis testing which consists of normality test, homogeneity test, and T test. İnstruments used in this study are in the form of description questions that help students in improving writing skills. Based on these results. Based on these results, it can be concluded that educational games based on local wisdom are very influential on students' writing skills in elementary schools

NAGNet: A novel framework for real‐time students' sentiment analysis in the wisdom classroom

SummaryFacial expression is the basis of human emotion recognition, and we can infer the emotional state of human beings by analysing facial expressions. As the main method of human emotional expression, facial expression contains much information about inner emotional changes. In recent years, with the wide application of artificial intelligence in education, related research on student sentiment analysis has become a hot topic in the educational technology field. Analysing affective data is helpful for understanding students' learning status and provides an important basis for the effective implementation of learning interventions, which is of great significance for the evaluation of teaching effects and changes in teaching methods. However, traditional learner emotion recognition methods have some problems, such as low recognition rates, complex algorithms, poor robustness, and easy loss of the key information of facial expression features. Therefore, this article proposes a learner emotion recognition method based on NAGNet. The network model is composed of Res2Net, nonlocal attention and GeM pooling, which can fuse global expression feature information to realize fine‐grained sentiment analysis. Additionally, we conducted training and experiments on the large‐scale learner emotion dataset FERPlus. The NAGNet model trained by the public emotion dataset FERPlus has a recognition accuracy of 89.3% for eight kinds of student emotions. The experimental results show that the method can quickly and accurately identify learner emotional states. We conduct experiments in a real classroom scenario, and use the NAGNet model proposed in this article to analyse and detect students' real‐time sentiment. Then teachers improve teaching methods by understanding the feedback of students' classroom status. Therefore, this method has important reference significance in the construction of wisdom classrooms and wisdom learning environments.

Development of Local Wisdom-Based Science Learning Innovation to Promote Creative Problem-solving Skill: Case Study Chessboard Game of Mueang Kung Pottery, Chiang Mai

The research aimed to 1) study science knowledge in local wisdom of Mueang Kung pottery, Chiang Mai province, 2) develop local wisdom-based science learning innovation to promote creative problem-solving skills, and 3) study satisfaction levels of students to local wisdom-based science learning innovation to promote creative problem-solving skills. The research was action research. The sample in the research consisted of: 1) one village scholar of Mueang Kung village, Hang Dong district, Chiang Mai province; 2) experts of local wisdom learning management accounting for 3 people; and 3) third-year students of Chemistry Departments and fourth-year students of Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University for the academic year of 2020 accounting for 15 people. Purposive sampling was used. The study results revealed that: 1) From the study on scientific knowledge in local wisdom of Mueang Kung pottery, Chiang Mai province, it was found that in the process of producing Baan Mueang Kung pottery of Chiang Mai province, scientific knowledge has been used to be integrated to develop quality pottery. The knowledge found in the community can be used to design local wisdom-based science learning innovation to promote creative problem-solving skills. 2) From developing local wisdom-based science learning innovation to promote creative problem-solving skills, it was found that the learning innovation developed in the form of Splendor Board Game with components, namely (1) cards in various forms, (2) the board for playing the Board Game and (3) rules of playing and there were results of assessing efficiency of the innovation (E1/E2) at the level: 80.22/81.56. This is deemed to have efficiency in implementation for learning. 3) Regarding satisfaction levels of students to local wisdom-based science learning innovation, it was found that the students had satisfaction levels at the highest level.

Local Wisdom for Bamboo Wicker Products through a Community-Based Approach in Thailand

The objectives were to study the state of community involvement in applying local wisdom to learning management, and how to involve local wisdom, such as bamboo wicker products, to manage learning in educational settings. A select group of 85 in Kut Wa Subdistrict, Kuchinarai District, Kalasin Province, Thailand, research contributors consisted of those with bamboo wicker skills 10 persons, teachers 20 administrators, 10 school board members, 30 community leaders, and 15 arts and crafts conservation group representatives used qualitative research through group discussions and in-depth interviews. The tools used in the research are structured interviews and content-based data analytics. The results showed that community involvement in applying local wisdom and making bamboo wicker products helped people learn. The community asks for participation in providing information about local wisdom, by planning and implementing every step, coordinating every step, jointly evaluating it, seeking stakeholder benefits from local wisdom in their communities, and developing guidelines for applying local wisdom to bamboo wicker products in learning management. It discovered that all community organizations must help promote the management of local wisdom learning. The knowledge transferor must be a person who is skilled in making bamboo wicker in the community and who is considered a teacher of local wisdom. Teachers in the school must be the liaison between the community, and the school in bringing local wisdom matters into the school premises, which must be documented in a handbook for making bamboo wicker products, with which learners can apply the advice to their learning through hands-on learning.

Efektivitas Pembelajaran Tilawati al-Qur’an di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) Kota Blitar Jawa Timur

The purpose of this research is First, to describe the implementation of recitation of the Qur'an at MIN Blitar City. Second, to analyze the effectiveness of learning tilawati al-Qur'an at MIN Blitar City. This type of research is qualitative with a case study approach. The research subjects were school principals, vice principals, Al-Qur'an teachers, and students. Data collection was carried out using in-depth interviews, documentation, and observation techniques. Data validity uses credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability techniques. The data were then analyzed in stages, namely data display, and data reduction. The research results show that; First, learning the tilawati Qur'an which is done offline every day before formal learning is carried out by integrating the schedule. Wisdom learning tilawati al-Qur'an is intended to improve the ability to read the Koran properly and correctly. For this reason, ustadzah al-Qur'an must have standard qualifications, including reading fluently and hafiz. Second, learning the Qur'an is carried out effectively.

A Place-Based Digital Learning Environments with Learning Resources Application to Enhance Student Learning and Innovations


 Sustainable development has underlined the relevance of education and culture in the specific area. While place-based learning has been shown to be a successful community-oriented approach, this study combined the participation of people in a variety of physical and social activities to develop a local wisdom learning-management model with digital resources application for learners in Thailand's educational innovation sandbox. The 146 key information providers and 340 students from two elementary schools and two secondary schools took part in the research and development process. The results indicated the local wisdom learning model could enhance student’s learning achievement and learning and innovative skills. Key involved persons, learning management goals, local wisdom content, and digital learning resource application are the four critical components including key involved persons, goals of learning management, the content of outstanding local wisdom, and digital learning resources application. In addition, the topic covers the five steps of learning procedures and three evaluation methods. The practical implications for future policy and practice are discussed.

The Management of Sundanese Cultural Local Wisdom Learning in developing Early Childhood Nationalist Character

The background of this research is that education functions to empower human potential to inherit, shape, and build future culture and civilization. This study aimed to obtain an overview and information about learning Sundanese local wisdom in shaping the nationalist character in early childhood. This research was conducted in Puji Handayani Kindergarten, Cimahi CIty. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, where the researcher observes directly how Sundanese local wisdom learning activities are carried out in Puji Handayani Kindergarten. This study concludes that Puji Handayani Kindergarten organizes learning of Sundanese local wisdom in shaping nationalist character in early childhood with the proper steps. Planning is prepared carefully since the beginning of the school year together with all components of the institution, which is poured in writing into the Semester Plan. The implementation of learning local wisdom of Sundanese culture in forming nationalist character in early childhood is carried out through four stages; namely, the planting, growing, carrying out, and stabilizing stages which are realized from the beginning of entry until it is time to go home including opening, core, resting/eating activities, and closing activities. From the management of the school, it has an impact on the formation of the child's nationalist character. The solution to overcome the obstacles in implementing Sundanese cultural local wisdom learning in forming a nationalist character in early childhood is to involve teachers in several pieces of training for learning Sundanese local wisdom and to explore various games of Sundanese local wisdom.

Thematic Learning Based on Local Wisdom in the New Normal Time in Elementary School

Thematic learning based on local wisdom, it is hoped that it can improve knowledge and learning outcomes and provide useful experiences for students. The purpose of this study is to analyses the planning, implementation and constraints of thematic learning based on local wisdom in the new normal period in elementary schools. The subjects of this study were classroom teachers and elementary school students. The method used is a qualitative method of phenomenology. This study uses interview, observation, and documentation guidelines. The data analysis technique used in this study consisted of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The result of study found that, before carrying out thematic learning based on local wisdom, the teacher carries out planning by preparing learning tools. Students learn directly from nature and to increase students' awareness of nature, so that students can maintain and preserve local wisdom and love local wisdom in their area. The obstacle for teachers in the process of implementing local wisdom-based thematic learning in elementary schools is that the time allocation for thematic learning is still lacking and there is no integration between local wisdom learning materials in the curriculum that has been made by the school.

Process of Local Wisdom Transfer to Promote Good Relationship between the Elderly and New Generations

Thai society is undergoing conflicts in the relationship between new generations and the elderly caused of the different frameworks of beliefs. The wisdom transfer process, an approach used in old times, is a solution to such conflicts. However, currently, it is used as a support mechanism. This research aims to develop a wisdom transfer process to ensure a good relationship between new generations and the elderly and study its efficacy. The process was applied to the elderly and new generations in Thung Samo Community, Phanom Thuan District, Kanchanaburi Province. The wisdom transfer process consists of 5 steps, namely Step 1: Agreement of local wisdom learning between the elderly and new generations, Step 2: Learning the background of local wisdom, Step 3: Learning by doing, Step 4: Local wisdom creation based on the ideas of young generations, and Step 5: Publicising the learned local wisdom achievements could boost the relationship between the two age groups, with a higher mean in the post-process. More outstanding communication between the two age groups was the key to better understanding between new generations and the elderly.

English Web-Based Teaching Supervision Based on Intelligent Face Image Perception and Processing for IoT

In this paper, the Internet of Things (IoT) with intelligent face perception and processing function is used to supervise online English teaching. In the intelligent learning environment, learners mainly learn by watching the information presentation screen of the learning content, i.e., the learning screen, which is the main environment for learners to learn and is the main channel for information interaction between learners and the learning content. The color matching, layout, graphic decoration, and background texture of the learning screen have a significant impact on learners’ emotions, interests, motivation, and effect in the learning process. On the contrary, the accurate identification of learners’ emotions is the basis for building a harmonious emotional interaction in the wisdom learning environment and is an important means to judge learners’ learning status, which is of great significance to promote learners’ wisdom learning. In addition to providing learners with personalized learning contents and learning paths, the learning images presented by the intelligent learning environment should also be compatible with learners’ emotional states and visual emotional preferences and can play a role in regulating and stimulating learners’ learning emotions. The system works well in the testing process, which verifies the feasibility, rationality, and effectiveness of our application of face perception to online teaching effectiveness monitoring, and can be combined with the old result-oriented effectiveness monitoring method for online teaching, with certain theoretical research significance and practical application value.

Research of Teaching Model in Math and Algebra

Teaching mode based on the intelligent inquiry focuses on guiding students to experience empirical thinking accumulation and developing students’ intellectual ability. Various steps form wisdom learning while concerning the differences in students’ subjects, the combination of the steps will change correspondingly, thereby contributes explicitly to all kinds of the subjects. Therefore, the pursuing goals reflected by the disciplinary knowledge motivate the variation of the teaching model. This article uses technical means as the supportive environment, focusing on the teaching of Math and Algebra in junior high school, and analyzed the application processes of the intelligent inquiry teaching model variants.

Establish the Individual Learning Space and Create the Wisdom Learning Environment

Students’ first-hand experience in intelligent learning, such as discovery, conception, selection, induction, evaluation, etc., is the prerequisite for students to achieve intellectual development. Due to the differences in learners’ cognitive basis and learning styles, students’ learning processes are inevitably personalized and dynamic. Building a personal learning space and establish an intelligent learning context for students is the key to ensuring students go through the learning process smoothly. The personal learning space meets the requirements for dynamic learning paths, resourceful teaching supplies, intelligent learning management, and other intelligent conditions. This article analyzed the structure and function of personal learning space to explore’ intelligent learning further.

The Construction of Smart Learning for Minority University English Learning From the Perspective of Smart Classroom

Wisdom learning is an innovation of learning style under the guidance of the smart Classroom concept, and it is an effective means to improve the efficiency of university students' language learning in the information age. This paper introduces the smart learning mode of English in minority university from the concept of the smart classroom and its interactive, experiential and diversified characteristics. It focuses on the learning design of the smart learning mode before, during and after the class. Smart learning is an effective solution to the problems of unbalanced English education resource, low initiative and efficiency in English learning in especially the underdeveloped area in China.

The Integration of Life-Based Learning Based Local Wisdom in the Development of Innovative Biotechnology Learning Models

The development on biotechnology research is on the rapid growth. Biotechnology is assumed to be able to solve the needs problem in the community. University of Jember has developed a biotechnology research which focused on the fields of agricultural and health biotechnology. However, the result of biotechnology research has not been entirely integrated yet into the learning at schools, college, and community education. This research was intended to associate the products of biotechnology research with the innovative life-based local wisdom learning and developed local wisdom. Later on, the integration of life-based learning and local wisdom in regards to the development of biotechnology was able to be implemented at school, university and the community. Junior and senior high school, university and local community in East Java were selected as the subjects of this research. Ten-step model of developmental research was applied on this research (Borg and Gall, 1989) covering collecting research and information, planning, developing preliminary forms of product, testing the preliminary field, the revision on main product, testing the main field, the revision on operational product, testing the operational field, the revision of final product, and dissemination and implementation. The results of this research revealed that life-based learning model with local wisdom in the development of innovative biotechnology learning were valid, effective and efficient.

Learning gurindam 12 as local wisdom through role playing assisted by audio visual to strengthen character of students

This study aimed to describe the strengthening of student character by learning Gurindam 12 through Role Playing assisted by Audio Visual. The research method was carried out with the Borg and Gall theory on research and development (R and D), this researcher conducted pre-tests and post-tests to find out whether local wisdom learning of Gurindam 12 through Role Playing assisted by Audio Visual can improve noble character in students. The sample in this study were prospective students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program teachers at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UMRAH. The result is that the Gurindam 12 through Role Playing assisted by Audio Visual makes learning more active and more enjoyable and can increase the values of positive characters in students including helping and cooperating with each other, and socially sensitive.
