Sistem Informasi Pemesanan Paket Pariwisata Berbasis Web Pada Smart Tour Purwokerto

Abstract - In the business world, technology is very supportive to develop a business. Travel services bureaus have more and more demand. To simplify the consumer in ordering it required a computerized system. Smart Tour Purwokerto is one of the travel services bureau that has not used computerized system or still using manual system. The system used today has many weaknesses. Therefore, in this Final Project, a Web-Based Tourism Package Booking System for Purwokerto Smart Tour will be made. The research method used is the method of software development, namely the waterfall method and data collection techniques including observation, interviews and literature studies. Next step is program design. Booking information system using a programming language .The system created has 3 users, namely admin, consumer and visitor. Admin has the right to add, edit, and delete data, consumers have the right to place an order, view order history and confirm payment, visitors have the right to access the company's main page. The system that is expected to be able to improve services for consumers, especially for the Smart Tour Purwokerto.

PERANCANGAN MEDIA PROMOSI OBJEK WISATA KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMAN

The research aims to design a media for tourism promotion of Padang Pariaman Regency with attractive appearance and user friendly to facilitate the dissemination of information and attracts tourists yo visit the attractions op Padang Pariaman regency. The media of tourism promotion in Padang Pariaman regency is designed by the waterfall method, using the Yii2 framework concept by applying the concept of model-view-controller (MVC). The results of this article are web-based tourism promotion in Padang Pariaman Regency so that information can be accessed anywhere. Information that can be accessed includes the latest travel news distributed by the Padang Pariaman District tourism office. And provides a photo gallery of attractions, so that tourists can see the natural charm and diversity of tourism in Padang Pariaman. In addition, the map feature is provided to make it easier for tourists to find the location of attractions and a testimonial feature that accommodates advice from tourists.Keywords: Tourist Attraction, Yii2 Framework, Padang Pariaman Regency.

PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMEN PARIWISATA BERBASIS WEB

Tourism is a field that is currently developing. This is supported by the wealth of Indonesia's natural potential which is known as the emerald equator. But not all tourism area information can be obtained easily. Because so far tourism promotion still uses pamphlets, leaflets or brochures. This can be overcome by developing a system that can be accessed by everyone by utilizing Information Technology. The aim of the research is to produce a Web-based tourism management information system. System development method is a prototyping model by utilizing PHP programming and MySQL database. The results of the system development resulted in a Web-based tourism management information system with a case study in the South Coastal Region of West Sumatra Province that could help tourism agencies in developing regional tourism.

A Content Analysis of Media Information Exposure on Tourism Destination Image

This study examines the issue of the formation of destination image through the analysis of the specific tourism discourse. It is the linguistic variety of English used in tourism which was written by tourists on websites imaging the destination of the Campuhan Ridge. The study focuses on the way tourism discourse contributes to convey an image of a destination using the approach of media exposure theory. Referring to previous scientific studies, tourism destination image have been shaped through the mediation between tourists’ mental constructs and web-based tourism discourse. Using a theory of information media exposure and an approach of linguistic study, samples of texts from websites were examined and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results show that linguistic features seen from lexical and phrasal choices were used together with functional attributes, psychological attributes, Psychological-holistic impressions, and Common-Unique dimension when tourists describing about tourism destination image.

Sistem Informasi Geografis Pariwisata Kabupaten Karo Menggunakan Google Maps Berbasis Web

Karo Regency is one of the areas in North Sumatra Province that has the potential to become a tourism area, with the Vision "Realizing Karo Tourism that is advanced, Modern environmentally friendly and highly competitive by maintaining karo cultural values through the broadest participation of the community and business world to increase Regional Original Revenue "The Karo District Government has promoted through mass media such as newspapers, pamphlets, distributing brochures and promoting through blogs. However, this method is not enough to inform tourism extensively towards domestic tourists and foreign tourists. The design and manufacture of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Tourism is expected to be able to display tourist maps of Karo Regency in the form of a degital map, which can be accessed by tourists. In the Design of Web-Based Karo Tourism Geographic Information System carried out by collecting data, observing and interviewing the Secretary of the Office at the Karo District Tourism and Culture Office and designing tourism maps displayed in this system using Google Maps, the software used in building this application is PHP (Personal Home Page) as a programming language, MySQL as a database server, Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 as the Design Editor. Karo Regency's geographic tourism information system is a system that provides information to tourists about the location of tourist attractions and tourism support facilities in Karo District.

The advancement of information technology today is fueling the growth in the number of internet users. In the business world, the role of technology is very important, and it can be said that it has become a primary need for entrepreneurs in this period. Likewise about culinary that has used the internet network to present a variety of good information from information on place, taste, presentation and price in the field of information technology. But for culinary information in the city of Medan on a website, while it is still incomplete and there is no website that specializes in culinary tourism in Medan and its reservations. Therefore, it is necessary to design a web-based culinary tourism information system in Medan City to make it easier for people to find culinary varieties in the city of Medan.

Taiwan faces frequent natural disasters, but it makes great efforts to develop tourism. Thus, the evaluation of losses caused by severe disasters on the tourism industry by means of information has been a topical subject to the government, the tourism industry, and the insurance industry. This study aims to develop a tourism risk evaluation network service platform aimed at the demands of government departments, the insurance industry, and the tourism industry in Taiwan. The proposed platform takes into consideration the geographical and network environment characteristics, and integrates the Web Geological Information System (Web-GIS), disaster risk evaluation technology and host identity protocol (HIP). The findings can serve as a reference for industries in Taiwan to establish a relevant risk evaluation system. The simple and easy-to-use information platform can provide the users with the required disaster risk evaluation information.

Improving Forecasting Accuracy by Combining Statistical and Judgmental Forecasts in Tourism

This study aims to examine the forecasting accuracy of a combined method by using quarterly tourism arrival data in Hong Kong. The voluntary integration of statistical forecasts and experts’ judgmental revisions are achieved through a Delphi procedure in a Web-based Tourism Demand Forecasting System (TDFS). The forecasting performance is evaluated using the absolute percentage error (APE), mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) and root mean square percentage error (RMSPE). This study also compares the forecast performance of the combined method to a number of alternative forecasting models, i.e. the Naïve models, exponential smoothing and Box-Jenkins time-series models. The empirical results show that the combined forecasts consistently outperform the baseline forecasts obtained from vector autoregression (VAR) models over the forecasting period of 2008Q1–2011Q4, suggesting the value of adopting such an integration procedure. The findings indicate that some gains are obtained from integrating experts’ judgments into statistical forecasts, particularly for the short term. In addition, combined forecasting does not always lead to satisfactory forecasting performance, particularly when there is a lack of important contextual information.

Combining statistical and judgmental forecasts via a web-based tourism demand forecasting system

Abstract This paper introduces a web-based tourism demand forecasting system (TDFS) that is designed to forecast the demand for Hong Kong tourism, as measured by tourist arrivals, total and sectoral tourist expenditures, and the demand for hotel rooms. The TDFS process comprises three stages–preliminary data analysis, the generation of quantitative forecasts and judgmental adjustments–which correspond to the three key system components: the data module, the quantitative forecasting module and the judgmental forecasting module, respectively. These stages (modules) interact with one another. This paper focuses on a recent case study that illustrates the functional ability of the TDFS as a support system, providing accurate forecasts of the demand for Hong Kong tourism. Specifically, the quantitative forecasts are generated by the autoregressive distributed lag model, then adjusted by a panel of experts comprising postgraduate students and academic staff. The results show that this combination of quantitative and judgmental forecasts improves the overall forecasting accuracy.

An IT and GIS exploration of web-based nature tourism enterprises in the rural agricultural sector in Texas

This paper addresses the role of IT in facilitating economic diversification for rural agricultural enterprises in Texas. The development of Texas INFRONT, an innovative database that acts as a clearinghouse of information for enterprises, is described. GIS mapping and analysis was applied as an innovative investigative tool to examine the relationship between a changing economic environment and the rise of online nature tourism businesses by rural producers. Spatial analysis for clusters and dispersions of nature tourism businesses using the internet was conducted. This revealed a variety of phenomena such as the concentration of nature tourism enterprises around urban centres. The results indicate that GIS-based spatial modelling informed by theoretical frameworks such as cultural ecology, while not common in the field of tourism research, can reveal important information about IT innovation and use by rural producers diversifying into nature tourism enterprises supported by the web, under conditions of economic hardship.

Place promotion through food and tourism: Rural branding and the role of websites

This paper examines the use of the World Wide Web (WWW) in promoting food tourism initiatives in rural areas as the building blocks for the branding of those areas. It argues that rural regions tend to be less place-specific than towns or cities, often being sparsely populated, with dispersed activities, diverse landscapes and varying perceptions held of ‘the rural’. But rural regions are, of course, usually closely associated with agriculture and food, and given that gastronomy is a growth area in tourism, it would appear to make sense to promote appropriate rural regions' identities through food- and drink-related images. But brand development is contingent upon a number of prerequisites that, in combination, may be elusive. This paper examines the employment of the intersection of food and tourism as the foundation for establishing a rural brand, and the use of websites in promoting such identity. It highlights inadequacies in the web-based promotion of food-related tourism initiatives in the UK, due in part to the fragmented infrastructure for regional tourism development and promotion in the UK. Practical recommendations are made regarding design factors for the provision of web-based tourism information.

An adaptive multilingual interface for tourism information

We have developed a natural language query interface for Tiscover, the largest Austrian web-based tourism platform. For a period of ten days, this interface was made publicly available by means of an advertisement and a hyperlink on Tiscover's homepage. In this paper, we will describe the results and our insights from analysing the natural language queries collected during this field trial. This analysis shows how users formulate queries when their imagination is not limited by conventional search interfaces with structured forms consisting of check boxes, radio buttons and special-purpose text fields. The results of this field trial are thus valuable indicators for determining direction, the web-based tourism information system should be extended into, in order to better serve the customers.

Policy, Support and Promotion for Food-Related Tourism Initiatives

Summary Increasingly, regional tourism development initiatives are utilizing locally-produced foodstuffs and beverages to: strengthen areas' tourism products; enhance visitors' experiences; and help maintain and enhance the viability of local food production and processing sectors. This paper examines the ways in which food and tourism are being drawn together at a theoretical level by academics, at a strategic level by policy makers, and at an applied level by developers and practitioners. While the marketing philosophy provides a useful framework for the planning and management of food-related tourism initiatives, adopting such an approach is problematic owing to a shortfall in our understanding of consumer behavior with regard to food in the context of leisure and tourism. In the absence of such knowledge, and in the light of the positive economic and social benefits which such initiatives can create, this paper examines the ways in which food-related tourism initiatives are being promoted using the World Wide Web. The research highlights inadequacies in the web-based promotion of food-related tourism initiatives in the UK and suggests that, while this type of tourism is at an early stage in the product life-cycle (in the UK), these shortcomings are also due in part to the fragmented infrastructure for regional tourism development and promotion in the UK. Additionally, practical recommendations are made as regards design factors for the provision of web-based tourism information.

Discovering Next Generation Tourism Information Systems: A Tour on TIScover

Information technology has been playing a fundamental role in the tourism industry for a long time. The Internet particularly is increasingly emerging as a perfect platform to bring tourism products direct to the customer. Web-based tourism information systems, however, are required not only to offer online brochures but also to provide both value and service. The Austrian tourism information system, TIScover, meets this challenge by focusing on three crucial points. First, high-quality access is provided, both by supporting e-commerce transactions and by allowing access to the system via the World Wide Web, info kiosks, and cellular phones. Second, the content is of a high quality that is achieved by enabling tourism information providers to maintain their products directly, as well as by integrating external tourism information sources. Finally, the system is designed in such a way that it is easy to customize. This facilitates employment of the system by the various kinds of tourism information providers, as well as by different regions and even countries.
