SCREENING DISFAGIA DENGAN INSTRUMENT STANDARDIZED SWALLOWING ASSESSMENT PADA PASIEN DENGAN GANGGUAN NEUROLOGI DI RSUP DR. WAHIDIN SUDIROHUSODO

Screening of Dysphagia is one of the applications of Evidence Based Nursing (EBN) to reduce complications. From the results of the study found that Screening Dysphagia can be effectively carried out by nurses and cause a decrease in the level of pneumonia (Palli et al., 2017). Screening of Dysphagia also reduces the level of bronchoaspiration in acute stroke patients (Cocho et al., 2015). Many instruments that can be used in Screening of Dysphagia. The best instruments are used with top sensitivity and specificity and evaluation of the results of methodological quality evaluations with a 12 steps criterion adapted from (Jaeschke et al) Namely the Standarized Swallowing Assessment (SSA) instrument. The purpose of this EBN is to assess the effective, efficient and safe use of SSA instruments and the prevalence of dysphagia in dysphagia screening in the lontara neuro treatment room 3 floors 1 behind RSUP Dr. Wahidin SudirohusodoMakassar. In implementing this EBN, it was found that Dysphagia Screening using SSA instruments was effective, efficient and safe to use. Of the 19 patients, 6 were found to have dysphagia.

Relationship between Needs of Supportive Care with Quality of Life among Breast Cancer Patients in Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar

Background: The need of supportive care is a care to be given in order to enhance the life quality of the patients with a serious life-threatening disease such as breast cancer. Generally, the patients are really worried and have severe anxiety related to their disease. The quality of life becomes really important in curing the breast cancer. The life quality is the ability to have normal life in accordance with the individual perception about the objective and hope of the breast cancer patients.
 Method: Thisis anobservationalresearchwithcross-sectionalstudydesign.Thestudywasconducted in 2019 and required as many as 40 respondents. The samples were selected by using purposive sampling technique. The data were gathered by questionnaire then processed by SPSS and analyzed by statistical test of Chi-square with the significance degree of 95% (α=0,05).
 Result: The result showed that there was significant correlation between the need of supportive care (p<0,000) and the life quality of the breast cancer patients.
 Conclusion: There was association of the supportive careandthelifequalityofthebreastcancerpatientswiththevalueofp=0,000<α0.05.

Implementation Technique of Radiotherapy Patients Dose Verification 3DCRT and IMRT

The implementation of Patient Dose Verification Techniques 3DCRT and IMRT aims to guarantee that the dosing shines in accordance with planning the therapy conducted in TPS (Treatment Planning System). Research carried out using Variant types of Clinac CX in Radiotherapy Unit hospital Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar. Verify patient dose measurement is done using a dose point and a dose plannar by taking 10 cancer patients cervix 3DCRT techniques and 10 engineering nasopharynx cancer patients IMRT. Results of the study 10 point dose cervix cancer patients techniques 3DCRT retrieved the deviation between -0.005% to 0.243%, an average deviation -0.234%, standard deviation -0.186, and CL 0.364. While in nasopharynx cancer patients IMRT technique obtained the deviation between -1,385% to 1.652%, an average deviation 0.146%, standard deviation 0.015, and CL 0.174. Dose plannar measurement 10 samples of cancer patients cervix engineering 3DCRT retrieved gamma index 3% 3 mm on average of 97.26%, standard deviation 0.063, CL 2.772 and 2 mm 2% average 85.91%, standard deviation of 0.007, CL 15.17. While in nasopharynx cancer patient with IMRT techniques acquired gamma index 3% 3 mm average 97.00%, standard deviation 0.016, CL 3.03 and 2% 2 mm average 83.38%, standard deviation 0.016, and CL 16.65.

Legal Aspect of Teleradiology at Hospital in Fulfillment of Patient Right

T he geographical situation and the disparity of the radiologist distribution make access to radiology services in rural, remote and island areas unmet. The presence of teleradiology can eliminate such gaps by increasing the speed and accuracy of diagnoses through technological assistance carried out in stages through the regulation of the telemedicine pilot project. Although teleradiology is currently still limited to trials, it is necessary to consider legal aspects, such as fairness, usefulness and legal certainty to the fulfillment of patient rights. This study is sociological-juridical with explanatory research specification. This study uses primary data obtained from in-depth interview to 6 informants consisting of 1 region head IDI, one head of medical support head, 1 ICT legal expert, with one radiologist with two radiographers who is performing teleradiology. Meanwhile, secondary data as media supporting obtained through by literature and legislation review. Furthermore, data obtained are processed and analyzed qualitatively. Based on the results of research in dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar Hospital and H.A. Sulthan Daeng Radja Bulukumba Hospital, the implementation of teleradiology in both hospitals resulted in some of the patient's rights being unfulfilled due to infrastructure constraints, limited human resources and lack of socialization. Patients are not entitled to informed consent and the provision of medical information. The right to the second opinion is also not fulfilled so that the patient does not get a chance to seek a second chance on the diagnosis of his illness. The non-fulfillment of both rights also affects the right to patient safety in the hospital in the case of management and taking action due to incomplete medical record data. As for the legal aspects to be achieved in the implementation of teleradiology, i.e., equity, usefulness, and legal certitude aspect. However, from these three aspects, the legal certitude aspect is not implemented properly as part of the fulfillment of patient rights due to existing regulations not to set certain things that can provide legal protection for provider or recipient of teleradiology service.

Hubungan antara Diameter Optic Nerve Sheath pada Grey Scale Ultrasound dengan Peningkatan Tekanan Intrakranial pada Pasien dengan Lesi Intrakranial

The study aims to determine the correlation between diameter of optic nerve sheath on grey scale with increased intracranial pressure in patients with intracranial lesion. The research was conducted in Radiology Department of Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar from January 2019 – May 2019. The sample were 39 people aged ³18 years old with intracranial lesion. Axial computed tomography (CT) examination was performed to evaluate intracranial lesions and the presence of midline shift. The diameter of the optic nerve sheath was measured using eye ultrasonography. Data analyses used Spearman’s correlation test. The results showed that there was a correlation between the dilatation of the right and left optic nerve sheath diameter with midline shift (p value 0.04; p less than 0.05) on the diameter of the right optic nerve sheath showing a weak positive relationship (p value 0.02) for the diameter the optic nerve sheath left showing a medium positive relationship where the higher the midline shift, the wider the diameter of the left and right optical nerve sheath. There is a correlation between the right and left optic nerve sheath diameter (p less than equal 0.001) showing a strong positive relationship where the wider the diameter of the right optic nerve sheath, the wider the diameter of the left optic nerve sheath at high intracranial pressure. Statistically other results also obtained no relationship between dilatation of the diameter of the optic nerve sheath with clinical symptoms of increased intracranial pressure and type of lesion.

FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN MOLA HIDATIDOSA DI RSUP. DR. WAHIDIN SUDIROHUSODO MAKASSAR

Objective: to determine the risk factors for age, parity, and previous pregnancy history of hydatidiform mole against the incidence of hydatidiform mole in RSUP. Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar. Method: analytic design with a case control study approach. The independent variables were age, parity, and previous molar pregnancy history. The population was all young pregnant bleeding. The number of sample cases and controls ratio 1: 1 is 38:38. The sampling technique was total sampling. Data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate. Result: odds ratio test with ? = 0.05. The results show that the age factor has (OR = 2.979) so that age has a 2.97 times risk of the incidence of hydatidiform mole, the parity factor has (OR = 4.431) so that parity has a risk of 4.4 times the incidence of hydatidiform mole, while a previous pregnancy history of hydatidiform mole are protective against the occurrence of hydatidiform mole. Conclusion: age and parity are risk factors for hydatidiform mole, while previous pregnancy history is only a protective factor against hydatidiform mole. Suggestion: health workers need to conduct socialization to prevent early marriage, promote family planning programs, programs for children at reproductive age, and remain vigilant about previous molar pregnancy history

Burn injury case: Three years evaluation January 2014- December 2016

Purpose: Determine the distribution of burn cases in Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar for the period of January 2014 to December 2016 Methods: a Retrospectively descriptive study Results: Burns sufferers in 2014-2016 were 271 cases, of which in 2014, 2015, 2016 there were 105, 90 and 76 cases respectively which showed the number of burn cases varies in 3 years. Most sufferers of burns are in the age group of 18-65 years, the most sex is male. Based on the extent, most burns were 20-39%. The mortality rate during the period of 2014-2016 was 56 cases. most in 2016 as many as 22 (39.5%) cases. in men as many as 16 people (72.7%) and women as many as 6 people (27.3%). High mortality in the area of burns 80-> 90%, and the lowest in the area of burns

Correlation of Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) with Degrees of Diabetic Ulcer

Background: Foot ulcer are common complication of Diabetic Mellitus (DM) that has high morbidity and mortality rate and associated with prolonged treatment conditions and increased risk of surgery and amputation. Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) can cause intermittent claudication for the occurrence of foot ulcers in DM. The Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) value can be used as an initial diagnosis for PAD. This study aims to examine the values of ABI in patients with a diabetic foot ulcer and its correlation to diabetic ulcer based on Wagner's classification. Method: The study design was cross-sectional, from April to June 2018. Demographic, clinical and anthropometric data of diabetic ulcer patients who were hospitalized or outpatient at WahidinSudirohusodo Makassar Hospital were recorded for 41 patients. The degree of injury is assessed based on Wagner's criteria, ABI examination is performed and blood sugar checks are performed using blood sugar check strips. Data analyzed using the Spearman's Correlation and Chi-Square test. Results: Subject ABI levels were between 0.85-1.33 with mean of 1.14. Clinical examination results showed 18 (43,9%) subjects had normal and 18 (43,9%) had mild ABI and only 5 (12,2%) subjects with moderate degrees. There is correlation between ABI and Wagner classification, even though the statistical test results showed no significance (p>0,08). Percentage of subjects with Wagner III, IV and V was high in mild ABI (i.e. 40.0%, 40.0% and 20.0%), while the percentage of subjects with Wagner I and II were found to be high in normal ABI (27.8% each) Conclusion: There was correlation between ABI and wagner’s classification, that the lower of ABI value, the higher the degree of wagner’s classification but statistically insignificant

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN NEUTROPHIL - LYMPHOCYTE RATIO AND DECREASED GLOMERULAR FILTRATION RATE IN DIABETIC NEPHROPATHY

Diabetic nephropathy is one of the fairly severe Diabetes Mellitus (DM) complications and the main cause of renal failure that can result in mortality. Hyperglycemia in DM induces kidney injury that may result in hemodynamic and metabolic alterations, endothelial dysfunction and inflammatory cells activation. A persistent and continuous inflammation is observed in diabetic nephropathy. One of the inflammation process progression indicators is Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR). To find out the relationship between NLR and decreased Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) in diabetic nephropathy. This study was an observational study with a retrospective approach. This study was conducted in Clinical Pathology Laboratory Installation and Medical Record Installation of Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar Hospital by collecting the patient's data during February 2015 to February 2016. Patients that were diagnosed as type 2 DM without diabetic nephropathy complication were taken as control and those diagnosed as type 2 DM with diabetic nephropathy were treated as study subjects. One hundred and thirteen (113) samples met the inclusion criteria, consisting of 73 diabetic nephropathy patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) 13 diabetic nephropathy patients without CKD and 27 type 2 DM patients without diabetic nephropathy complication. Patients consisted of 57 males (50.4%) and 56 females (49,6%). Neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio and GFR values in the group of diabetic nephropathy without CKD were 2.03±0.68 and 85.38±24.63, respectively. Whereas, the NLR and GFR values in control group were 1.74±0.54 and 90.03±28.60, respectively. In the group of diabetic nephropathy with CKD, NLR value increased by 3.19±1.83 and GFR decrease by 30.54±16.45. Spearman test indicated a significant relationship between NLR increase and decreased GFR (r = -0.635, p=0.00). There is a significant relationship between NLR increase and decreased GFR in patients with diabetic nephropathy.

POLA KETAHANAN (RESISTEN) DAN KEPEKAAN (SENSITIVITAS) KUMAN TERHADAP ANTIMIKROBA

In the developing countries including Indonesia, there still have problems with infectious diseases. Generally the hospitalized patientsin the Surgery section through have antimicrobial therapy. The treatment is intended to prevent nosocomial infection that usually foundin overnight treatment patients at the department of surgery. This study is carried out to know the pattern of micro-organism's resistanceand sensitivity against various antimicrobial at department of surgery, Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital Makassar, January–June2008. A descriptive study of retrospectively collective data was carried out on 160 specimens by sensitivity test at the department ofsurgery, Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar Hospital, started from January up to June 2008. The five common bacterial found in thisstudy where Staphylococcus epidermidis, Klebsiella pneumonia, Enterobacter agglomerans, Staphylococcus saprophytic and Escherichiacoli. The sensitive antimicrobial drugs found where Vancomicin, Sulbactam/Cepoperazone, Cefepim, Gentamicin, Ceftazidim, Novobiocin,followed by the resistance antimicrobial were Methicillin, Tetracycline, Cefuroxim, Erythromycin, and Doxyciclin. The most bacterial typefound was Klebsiella pneumoniae, the most sensitive antimicrobial was Vancomicin and the most resistances were Methicillin.

POTASSIUM MONITORING IN HEART FAILURE PATIENTS RECEIVING COMBINED THERAPY OF CAPTOPRIL AND FUROSEMIDE

In the treatment of heart failure is recommended the use of a combination of ACEI (captopril) with diuretics (furosemide), ACEI has the side effect of hyperkalemia 10-38% in hospitalized patients and 10% in outpatients, is increased in patients with renal failure and diabetes mellitus, the use diuretics occur hypokalemia 5-20% in outpatients. Hyperkalemia and hypokalemia both should be avoided in heart failure patients, because it can cause cardiac conduction disorders such as cardiac arrhythmias This study aims to monitor levels of potassium in the use of combination therapy with furosemide captopril in heart failure patients. The study was conducted using the method Prospective Observational Cross Sectional Analysis, conducted in January-May 2015 in heart failure patients male and female NYHA II-III receiving combination therapy with furosemide Captopril met the inclusion criteria were treated in the department CVCU Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar. Potassium levels were measured pre and post administration of the combination therapy. A total of 37 patients met the inclusion and exclusion criteria in this study, 31 male patients (83.8%) and 6 female patients (16.2%) aged between 35-80 years, during this study after administration of the combination therapy, 5 patients (13.5%) had hypokalemia (<3.5 mmol/L) and 2 patients (5.4%) experienced hyperkalemia (> 5 mmol/L) and 30 patients (81.1%) of normal potassium levels (3,5 to 5.0 mmol/L). The test results paired t test p = 0.432 (p> α;α = 0.05) showed no significant differences between potassium levels pre and post potassium levels. In conclusion, the use of a combination of captopril and furosemide therapy, the risk of hyperkalemia and hypokalemia not significant but need to be monitored levels of potassium and ECG patient.

Fragmented QRS Complex as a Predictor of Multivessel Disease in Acute Coronary Syndrome

Background: The incidence of multivessel disease in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is expected to be identified as early as possible in order to perform optimal management. The presence of multivessel disease can lead to ischemia or myocardial infarction. Fragmented QRS complex (fQRS) is a new electrocardiography (ECG) parameter that has been proven to be caused by ischemia or myocardial infarction.Methods: A cross-sectional study. Patients with ACS that admitted at Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar since December 2014 - March 2015 who are eligible were enrolled in this study.Presence of fQRS evaluated on first 12-lead ECG at hospital admission. Presence of multivessel disease based on coronary angiography. Data were analyzed by logistic regression. Data was significant if the p-value<0.05.Results: There are 63 subjects (56 men and 7 women) included in this study. Older age, history of ACS before, presence of dyslipidemia, and presence of fQRS were significantly more often in group with multivessel disease. After analyzed with logistic regression, the fQRS was the only significant predictor of multivessel disease with p value 0.003 and odds ratio 13.28.Conclusion: Presence of fQRS in the first 12-lead ECG when admitted to the hospital was an independent predictor of multivessel disease in patients with ACS.

The Functions of the Organizational Culture the Hospital Wahidins Sudirohusodos as a Public Organization

Abstract The purpose of this research is to analyze the functions of organizational culture values the General Hospital Center Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar. This research is qualitative research approach of case studies. The data source is the primary data and secondary data. Primary data obtained through observation against the social situation and structured interview to informant. Secondary data obtained through documentation. Technique of data analysis is done through stages; data collection, data presentation, data reduction, and conclusion. This research is the indicator functions of organizational culture (motivation, social cohesion, and sense-making and control mechanism). The results of this study indicate that the values of culture organizations General Hospital Center Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar serves as a motivation source, social cohesion source, and sense-making and control mechanism. It can be demonstrated that: 1) the value of collaboration (teamwork) serve as a motivation source, by conducting all activities in a teamwork, evoking motivation on medical and non-medical personnel of the hospital; 2) value empathy serves of social cohesion source and these values also inspired leadership of hospitals to innovate and create a policy of people oriented, and 3) professional values serve as sense-making and control mechanism or transformed human resources ' attitude and behavior patterns, this value also form an aggressive working attitude and competitive on medical and non-medical personnel of the hospital. Organization culture values the General Hospital Center Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar has become a shared basic assumptions and guidelines for medical and non-medical personnel in providing medical services to the community.

Fungsi-fungsi nilai budaya lokal pada organisasi publik

Public organization is the government instrument which has role system, flow activities, and pattern of team work relation; it involves civil servants to serve the public. The objective of this study is to analysis the functions of local culture in the Centre General Hospital of Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar as public organization. This study is a qualitative research which applies as a case study approach. The data sources are primer and secondary data. The primer data was collected through observation of social situation (place, actor, and activity) and structured interview of the informants. The secondary data was collected through documentations. The technique of data analysis was performed through data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion. The indicators of the study are functions (social identity, social cohesion, sense-making and control mechanism, motivation source, and inspiration source) of the local culture value (sipakatau). Sipakatau is the Bugenese language that means to appreciate and respect each other. This value has been espoused by Bugenese and Makassarise in applying their activities. The result of the study indicates that local culture value (sipakatau) has been functioned as social identity, social cohesion, sense-making and control mechanism, motivation source, and inspiration source by the Centre General Hospital of Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar.

The Correlation Between the Anxiety and the Amount of the Sweat Gland Secretion in the Patients with Palmar Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis is also known as polyhidrosis or sudorrhea, which defines as the secretion of the sweat that exceeds the amount necessary for thermoregulation of the body. Palmar hyperhidrosis is excessive sweat secretion and is limited to the area of the palm. Anxiety is associated with feelings of uncertainty and helplessness. This emotional state does not have a specific object. Conditions subjectively experienced and communicated in interpersonal relationships. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between anxiety with the number of sweat glands secretion in patients with palmar hyperhidrosis. This study was an observational study with cross sectional design and analytical approach, conducted at Outpatient Clinic of Dermatology and Venereology Department of Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar, Hasanuddin University Hospital, and Senior High School in Makassar. This study began in February to April 2016. The number of samples are 40 people who suffered from palmar hyperhidrosis with the largest age distribution that is less than 20 years as many as 26 samples (65.0%). A total of 40 samples (100.0%) do not suffer secondary disorder, experiencing excessive sweating for at least 6 months, lasting at least one week, with bilateral symmetrical distribution, the onset of age 25 or younger and no sweat at night day. Family history of suffering from palmar hyperhidrosis were found in 12 samples (30.0%). There is a daily impact on palmar hyperhidrosis patients as many as 13 samples (32.5%). Students are the most in this study as many as 26 samples (65.0%). The onset of age palmar hyperhidrosis is the most at the age of 13 to 18 years from 21 samples (52.2). The severe palmar hyperhidrosis is the most in this study, there are 16 samples (40.0%). The degrees of moderate anxiety were the most in this study as many as 25 samples (62.5%). In this study, there is a tendency relationship between the degree of anxiety by the number of sweat glands secretion. Norepinephrine associated with severity of palmar hyperhidrosis. The highest level of norepinephrine is in the mild grade of palmar hyperhidrosis. There is a tendency correlation between the score of the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety with blood plasma norepinephrine levels.

GAMBARAN PENGGUNAAN OBAT ANTIDIABETIK PADA PENGOBATAN PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE II RAWAT JALAN DI RSUP DR WAHIDIN SUDIROHUSODO MAKASSAR

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disesase characterized by high blood sugar levels in the body. This research aims to present the use of antidiabetic medication for type 2 diabetes mellitus in outpatient at RSUP Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar. This is a descriptive survey in the form of retrospective search. The results showed that the use of drugs by drug class and type of antidiabetic drugs sulfonylurea (glibenclamide 12.4%, glimepiride 7.2%, gliclazide 3.9%), biguanide (metformin 43.8%0, inhibitor α-glucosidase (acarbose 3.3%), thiazolidinedione (pioglitazone 0.7%), the combination of OHO (gliburida-metformin 0.7%), vildagliptin-metformin 0.7%), rapid insulin 8.5%, insulin detemir 13.1%, insulin glargine 4.6%, and insulin premix 13.1%.

ANALISA PERBANDINGAN OBAT ANTIHIPERTENSI (OHT) DENGAN KEJADIAN POLA TEKANAN DARAH NONDIPPERS PADA PENDERITA HIPERTENSI TANPA STROK ISKEMIK

The pattern of blood pressure hypertensive nondippers is one of the factors that increase the risk of suffering from cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disorders , but the effect of antihypertensive drugs work period ( OHT ) relating to the type of the pattern of blood pressure in patients with hypertension hypertensive nondippers still not widely studied . This study aims to analyze the working relationship with the incidence pattern of antihypertensive drug blood pressure hypertension nondippers in patients with post- acute stroke ischemic stroke with and without hypertension . The method used was a cross -sectional study with 60 samples ( 30 hypertensive patients with ischemic stroke and 30 patients with hypertension as a control ) of the Hospital Dr . WahidinSudirohusodo Makassar and its network in 2013 . The results showed chi-square test patterns obtained blood pressure in hypertensive nondippers larger user group types ACEI captopril group OAH 18 ( 94.7 % ) with grades ( p > 0.05 ) with OR = 4.6 . It can be concluded that there are patterns of blood pressure hypertension incidence nondippers against ischemic stroke incidence was greater in OHT group ACEI types captopril group , although not significantly.

HUBUNGAN KADAR UREUM DARAH DENGAN STOMATITIS UREMIK PADA PENDERITA GAGAL GINJAL KRONIK DI RSUP WAHIDIN SUDIROHUSODO MAKASSAR

Uremic stomatitis can be happened by effect of improvement of concentration of ureum in saliva of effect of height of level of ureum blood. The aim of this cross sectional research to know influence of rate ureum of blood with the happening of uremic stomatitis at patient chronic renal failure (CRF). As much 36 sample taken away from patient of CRF in RS Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar. Rate of Ureum of blood known from result of inspection of laboratory enclosed at card of patient status, while stomatitis conducted by a direct inspection at patient of pursuant to location, type of stomatitis. Anyalyzed data with X 2 test, t test, Logistic Regression and Simple Linear regression at α = 0.05 constructively Program SPSS/PC(-) version 9. Result of research that mean of rate of ureum blood = 170.3889 mg/dL, there relation and influence have a meaning between rate of ureum blood to the happening of uremic stomatitis at patients CRF (p < 0.05). Conclusion that height of ureum of blood can be happened in oral cavity like the happening of uremic stomatitis.

Studi mutu pelayanan berdasarkan kepuasan pasien di Klinik Gigi dan Mulut RSUP Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar

The improvement of quality health service has become a national and global mainissue in the health development. This is due to great demand of service in healthorganization to provide optimum service health. The effort of improving qualityhealth service consists of health organization and health professionals. This studyaimed to describe patient satisfaction of service quality of health professional indental clinic of RSUP Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar. The samples of thisdescriptive survey study were patients of the hospital who fulfill criteria ofinclusion. Intake of samples by purpose, and sample size was 85 people. Patientsatisfaction was determined using RATER dimensions -reliability, assurance,tangible, empathy and responsiveness. Service quality, which was assessed basedon average of percentage of patient answers, is considered good if satisfaction is ≥60% and bad if satisfaction is ≤ 60%. The results show that the reliability,assurance, tangible, empathy, and responsiveness of health officer, are 82.4%,76.5%, 89.4%, 87.1%, and 78.8% respectively. The study concludes that servicequality of the dental clinic in 2007 was good.
