Exploration of the teaching reform of costume performance major from the perspective of "curriculum ideology and politics"

With the rapid development of the social economy and the increasing demand for art performance, the requirements for costume performance professionals are also increasing. This study takes the teaching of costume performance majors from the perspective of "curriculum ideology and politics" as the research object, and adopts research methods such as literature review and case analysis, aiming at exploring how to integrate the elements of ideological and political education into the teaching and cultivate the ideological and ethical level and comprehensive ability of the students. The results of the research show that the integration of "curriculum ideology and politics" into the teaching of fashion performance majors can improve students' political quality and ideological and moral level, cultivate their comprehensive ability and innovative spirit, and help to meet the needs of the society and cultivate students' vocational ethics, industrial morality and cross-cultural competence.

The fact that midwifery interventions which take place mainly in confidential and private areas such as reproductive health, pregnancy and birth requires midwives to have high ethical sensitivity. In this study, it was aimed to determine the ethical sensitivities of midwives working in the delivery room and the factors associated with their ethical sensitivities. In this descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted in 8 public hospitals in Kocaeli. The study participants consisted of 80 midwives working in the delivery room in these hospitals. The data were collected an anonymous self-administered questionnaire which included Ethical Sensitivity Questionnaire (ESQ). Descriptive statistics, Student t and Mann-Whitney U tests were used in the evaluation of the data, and p<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Seventy midwives (87.5%) participated in the study. 42.9% of the midwives were in the 25-34 age range, 28.6% had 21 years or more Professional experience, and 77.1% received vocational ethics education. The ethical sensitivity of the midwives with a mean score of 3.05 on the Ethical Sensitivity Scale was moderate. In this study, it was concluded that the ethical sensitivity of the midwives working in the delivery room is insufficient and that the existing ethical education programs has not developed ethical sensitivity. Midwives with high ethical sensitivity can ensure that women and newborns receive qualified care. Therefore, the ethical sensitivities of midwives should be developed through education programs that emphasize how to deal with ethical issues that may cause moral distress.

A Study on Professional Recognition and Teaching Skills of Pre-Service Childhood Teachers According to the Level of Teaching Efficacy

본 연구는 교수효능감 수준에 따른 에비유아교사의 전문성인식과 교수기술 차이를 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해 G, J 지역에 소재한 유아교육과에 재학 중인 예비유아교사 113명을 대상으로 조사하였다. 수집된 자료는 one-way ANOVA를 실시하였으며 집단 간의 차이를 알아보기 위해 Scheffe 사후검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 교수효능감 수준에 따라 예비유아교사의 전문성인식과 하위요인인 전문적지식, 사회봉사, 직업윤리, 사회경제적지위에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 둘째, 교수효능감 수준에 따라 예비유아교사의 교수기술과 하위요인인 수업계획, 수업실행, 수업평가에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 예비유아교사의 교수효능감 수준을 향상시킬 수 있는 다양한 방안을 모색하고, 예비유아교사에게 필요한 전문성 역량을 증진시키기 위한 기초자료가 될 것이다.The purpose of this study is to examine the differences in professional recognition and teaching skills of pre-service early childhood teachers according to the level of teaching efficacy. To this end, 113 prospective early childhood teachers attending the Early Childhood Education Department located in the G and J were surveyed. The collected data was analyzed by one-way ANOVA and Scheffe post-test analysis. As a result of the study, first, according to the level of teaching efficacy, there were statistically significant differences in the professional knowledge of pre-school teachers and the sub-factors of professional knowledge, social service, vocational ethics, and socioeconomic status. Second, according to the level of teaching efficacy, there were statistically significant differences in teaching skills and sub-factors such as instruction plans, instructional execution, and instruction evaluations. These results will serve as basic data to explore various ways to improve the level of teaching efficacy of pre-service early childhood teachers and to enhance the professional competency required for pre-service early childhood teachers.

ISLAMIC EDUCATION LEARNING MANAGEMENT IN REALIZING STUDENTS MORALITYIN HIGH SCHOOL AND VOCATIONAL SCHOOL OF EAST LAMPUNG INDONESIA

This research is motivated by high school and vocational high school students ethics and morals degradation. Thus, the purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the teachers ability in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the learning management of Islamic Religious Education at SMAN 1 and SMKN 1 of East Lampung. This research employed the qualitative descriptive approach with the case study design. The research data are collected using three techniques: observation, interviews, and documentation. The data are then analyzed in two stages, namely the individual case data analysis and cross-case data analysis. The sources of data are the principal, vice-principal, teachers, employees, and students. The results of this study indicated that 1) the basis of religion has been developed by practicing the religious values that are believed and carried out in everyday life and utilizing additional hours on extracurricular activities. 2) The implementation pattern of Islamic Religious Education learning management is unique the application of religious culture, such as greetings, asking for permission, apologizing, expressing gratitude,reading and writing the Quran, performing dhuhaandzhuhur prayers in congregation, istighosah, and congregational prayers, commemorating Islamic holidays, performing imtaq and tadarrus Quran, performing group prayers at the beginning and end of lessons, accustoming handshakes between school members, and wearing Muslim clothing. 3) Commemorating every major Islamic day through various activities, such as holding competitions for the art of reading the Quran, religious quiz, reading poetry, translation of the Quran, prayer practices, fashion shows, qurban on Eid al-Adha, Islamic crash course in the month of Ramadan, and many others.

TV Yemek Programlarının Gastronomi Eğitimine Yansımaları

TV cooking programs are an important source of rating for television channels. These programmes attract so many viewers from the different segments of the community. Both the Turkish cuisine and the world cuisine applications carried out in these programs. In addition to having a fun time for the audience, the TV cooking programs provide an educational environment in which the technical and practical advice on the preparation, cooking, presentation of the food or drink can be learned. The aim of this issue is to evaluate the educational effects of cooking TV programmes on the students of cookery and gastronomy and culinary arts. The research data gained by questionnaire method from 293 students of cookery and gastronomy and culinary arts. Statistical analyzing methods were used in order to measure the differences of the groups. The findings of the research showed that TV cooking programmes support the students on gastronomy education and vocational motivation more than vocational ethics.

Subject-Integrated Teaching for Expanded Vocational Knowing and Everyday Situations in a Swedish Upper Secondary Health and Social Care Program

The aim of this study was to explore what subject-integrated teaching of vocational subjects, ethics and health care, contributed with in terms of vocational knowing. The case study was ethnographically inspired and followed a group of students (16 +) and their teachers in a Swedish Health and Social Care Program while they worked with a theme unit called Death for two weeks in autumn 2012. Data comprised observations, field notes, and audio recordings of the planning and teaching of the theme unit, informal discussions with teachers and students, handouts, a theme booklet, and student assignments. Analysis was based on concepts related to cultural historical activity theory, especially emphasizing rules, tools, actions, operations, and contradictions. Results showed three major objects emphasized in the teacher–student interaction and the tools chosen to support the subject-integrated teaching activity: vocational knowing related to vocational ethics, to everyday ethics, and argumentative skills. Manifestations of contradictions in the form of dilemmas related to the examples that teachers copied from a textbook. As these examples were mainly contextualized in everyday situations, and there are no formal ethical guidelines for nursing assistants on which teachers could rely on, teachers’ narratives were used to complement these examples. Students’ argumentative skills were emphasized and related to personal situations, in which ethical arguments for justification in vocationally relevant situations were made unclear.

A history of vocational ethics and professional identity: How organization scholars navigate academic value spheres

In recent years, Michael Burawoy has sparked a discussion about the role of social sciences in society. He calls for an increased interaction between different value spheres in social science, because ‘the flourishing of each depends on the flourishing of all.’ To ensure this interaction, he proposes that we pay better attention to the micro-politics of academic lives, not least their historical, geographical and biographical specificity. The current article contributes to this agenda, contextualized in the field of Organization Studies. It analyzes the vocational micro-politics of organization scholars, especially with a focus on historical and biographical specificity. Based on in-depth interviews with 15 senior scholars, many considered founding figures of Organization Studies, I analyze how they navigate value tensions in different historical periods. To understand historical differences, the article draws on a combination of Burawoy and Boltanski and Chiapello. To understand individual navigation of value spheres, I apply terms such as selective incorporation, decoupling, antagonism and double attribution. In the end, I discuss how some scholars navigate spheres to ensure mutual correction while others navigate them to enable opportunism. The latter is a tempting strategy for young scholars trying to survive extreme performance pressures today.

The importance of vocational ethics in paramedic education, vocational ethics course for paramedics

Ethics are rules of behaviors which morally good or bad. Bioethics is the study of ethics about by advances in biology and medicine. Health care providers should have knowledge about health professional ethics principles, public officials’ ethical behavior principles and ethical principles concerned about other legislation. They should find the required information to make logical, objective and accurate decisions where they may face with ethical problems in their professional life. Unfortunately in our country there isn’t any special vocational ethics course designed for paramedics. Our aim is to design a Vocational Ethics Course for Paramedics which includes all issues of bioethics.

수산·해운 직업기초능력에 관한 연안어업 현장 어민의 인식 분석

The aims of this study were to analyze the coastal Fisherman's awareness for the Fisheries and Maritime Job Skills. Fisheries & Maritime key competencies were defined as the abilities that include the essential knowledge, skills, attitude, and experiences required for the workforce on the fisheries and maritime job condition. This research collected preliminary data from 65 coastal fishermen. Data were analyzed to obtain content validity analysis. The results of the study were as follows; First, Fisheries & Maritime key competencies were divided into 6 elements in coastal fisheries. Second, Fisheries & Maritime key competencies were consisted of basic skills, marine vocational ethics, marine information capacity, marine elementary knowledge, marine safety management skill and marine consciousness. Third, CVR proves that the value analyzed in the study was validation. In consequence, the study suggested that Fisheries & Maritime key competencies were different in accordance with work environment.

Fisheries & Maritime key competencies were defined as the abilities that include the essential knowledge, skills, attitude, and experiences required for the workforce on the fisheries and maritime job condition. This research collected preliminary data from 1,113 fisheries & maritime high school students. Data were analyzed to obtain reliability and validity analysis.The results of the study were as follows; First, fisheries & maritime key competencies were divided into 6 elements. Second, fisheries & maritime key competencies were consisted of marine vocational ethics, marine information capacity, marine elementary knowlegde, marine safety management skill, management & utilization of marine life and marine consciousness. Third, Cronbach-α proves that the scale developed in the study is reliable.
