The Characteristics of Kampung Sekayu Conservation Area, Semarang City

Kampung Sekayu is an original village in Semarang City which has a cultural heritage building in its area, so its existence needs to be maintained. Its strategic location in the center of the city makes this village develop into a trade and service area, thus affecting the area’s physical characteristics. Character identification is needed to know the current condition of the area. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative and explanatory techniques. This study shows that the physical condition of the building has partially changed due to the development of the area from a residential area to a trade and service area. However, some buildings can still maintain their distinctive character as the original buildings that were built during the colonial era. The Great Mosque as a landmark of this area is a characteristic that cannot be separated from the existence of this village. Judging from the social characteristics of the community, cultural mixing occurs because the composition of residents is now dominated by immigrants

Research on Village Planning and Rural Architectural Design Based on Discrete Dynamic Modeling Technology

With the advent of the era of big data, the combination of science and technology and urban and rural planning has become the focus of many countries. The improvement of village planning and the redesign of rural buildings can promote the rapid development of villages and strengthen rural cohesion. Based on the above situation, this paper proposes a dynamic programming algorithm combined with discrete dynamic modeling technology to improve rural planning. Firstly, the dynamic programming algorithm is used to reconstruct the village layout and optimize the original village model. The dynamic monitoring technology is used to update the dynamic data in real time to provide specific information for the follow-up rural architectural design. Secondly, the dynamic modeling technology is used to build the building model, which can calculate the building location and building angle of the village. In order to further improve village development, we also put forward the concept of green building design. The performance of traditional modeling technology and discrete dynamic modeling technology in the green building design model is compared. The results show that the discrete dynamic modeling technology can improve the overall performance of rural buildings and improve the operation efficiency of the system in the batch design of green buildings. The village layout improved by dynamic planning reduces the specific travel distance of villagers and provides effective help for rural construction and economic development. Compared with traditional modeling technology, dynamic modeling technology has a shorter workflow and less time. Discrete dynamic modeling technology can realize dynamic batch architecture design and has higher applicability than traditional algorithms.

Evaluation of village owned enterprises (BUMDES) in Hunuth Village, Baguala District, Ambon City 2021

The Government of Hunut Village, Baguala Sub-district, Ambon City has built several business units to develop the local community's economy. The BUMDES is still experiencing problems, namely the limited working capital and the lack of public awareness to optimize the potential of natural resources and policies that have been made by the Village Government (Pemdes). These factors make BUMDES innovation less developed in Hunut Village so that it has not been able to run optimally. The research results are (1). The Bumdes of Hunuth/Durian Patah Village already have a turnover or income, but it is not significant yet to make the BUMDES revenue source the Original Village Income (PADes) of Hunuth. (2). BUMDES Hunuth is at level 3, which means BUMDES must conduct capacity-building training and marketing feasibility studies. With this approach, the author can provide a more detailed description and explanation of the results of the BUMDes evaluation research in Hunut Village, Baguala District, Ambon City, in 2021.

Destination Management for Ecotourism Activity Using Analytical Hierarchy Process

Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) refers to a decision-making method that decomposes the elements related to decision-making into goals, criteria, plans, and other levels and performs qualitative and quantitative analysis. Ecotourism is one component of sustainable tourism. Due to ecotourism activity, ecotourism links the reserved area with local residents and tourists. The aim of this research is to identify the proper ecotourism activity in Diaoluo Mountain National Nature Reserve with the help of the AHP method. The motivation behind the use of AHP is its widespread use in the decision-making process of selection of suitable candidate or alternative spot for tourists’ activity in the domain of ecotourism. The result shows that the most suitable ecotourism activity is “visit and experience life in the original ecology villages of Li and Miao ethnic minorities with a guide.” The proposed AHP decision-making method has effectively been used to select ecotourism activity based on multiple criteria evaluations.

Place attachment in the Ex-situ poverty alleviation relocation: Evidence from different poverty alleviation migrant communities in Guizhou Province, China

The Ex-situ poverty alleviation relocation (ESPAR) program is an important policy initiative taken by the Chinese government to eliminate poverty. In a short time, a large number of migrants have moved to new communities for a better standard of living and opportunities for improving their condition. Place attachment is an important topic in migration, closely related to the people-place relationship and social stability. However, there are few relevant studies on the place attachment of poverty alleviation migrants (PAMs). To fill in this gap, we studied five new migrant communities in Anshun, Guizhou Province. We find significant differences between the three different resettlement modes (resettlement in original villages, resettlement in nearby townships, resettlement in cities and towns) in the place attachment level. The results of multiple linear regression models indicate that community support, such as basic infrastructures, social interaction, economy, and living environment significantly affect the construction of place attachment. Moreover, some sociodemographic characteristics and relocation factors also have significant impacts. Further policy recommendations including appropriate choice of resettlement modes, material and emotional guarantees, and comprehensive community support are put forward to improve the effectiveness of ESPAR.

Land acquisition for dams: relocation problem and potential change in livelihood of communities affected villages

Dams are agricultural infrastructure that has very important role in supporting food security. Dams constructions indirectly show a change in resources from land resources (terrestrial) to water resources (aquatic). This study aims to analyze the impact of land acquisitions as a consequence of accelerating agricultural infrastructure development policy in East Java Province. This research was conducted using a multiple case study approach. Data were collected qualitatively through documents study, observation, and in-depth interview. There are three cases of land acquisition for dam construction comparing in this study: Semanthok Dam in Nganjuk District, Bagong Dam in Trenggalek District, and Bendo Dam in Ponorogo District. The result shows that land acquisition for dam construction was not immediately responded well. Conflicts usually begin from the value of compensation that is not in accordance to the community expectation. The land acquisition process for the dams has not included a livelihood plan for the people who are relocated from their village of origin. In fact, the dam construction necessitates a shift from the affected communities who originally used land resources eventually turned into water resources due to the dam constructions. A comprehensive impact analysis mapping has not been found covering: the community upstream dam, the community around dam and the community downstream of the dam.

Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Berpengaruh pada Belanja Bidang Pelaksanaan Pembangunan Desa

This study aims to examine the effect of Village Original Income, Village Funds, Regional Tax and Levy Revenue Sharing, Village Fund Allocation, and Special Financial Assistance on Expenditures for the Implementation of Village Development. This research data was collected using the saturated sample method, the entire population which includes the financial statements of 133 villages in Tabanan Regency from 2017 to 2019 was used as a research sample, so the research sample amounted to 399. The data collection method was carried out by the documentation method, with the analytical technique used was the Multiple Linear Analysis. The results of this study stated that village funds, regional tax and levy revenue sharing, and special financial assistance had an effect on expenditures for the implementation of village development, while village original income and allocation of village funds had no effect on expenditures for the implementation of village development.

Encouraging Traditional Market through Customer Satisfaction

Progress of village development is very dependent on the financial independence of the village. Financial independence is reflected in the amount of original village income. One source of original village income comes from market retribution. Market retribution revenue will increase if the market can develop properly. Customer satisfaction is the key to the success of a market. This study analyzes consumer satisfaction at Kembangsari Market, Srimartani Village, Bantul Regency, and the factors that influence satisfaction using a logistic regression model. The results showed that the level of consumer satisfaction was 72.71 percent. Factors that influence consumer satisfaction are easy-to-market accessibility, good product quality, and guarantees provided. Infrastructure factors and the responsibility of traders have not been able to increase customer satisfaction.

STRATEGI PEMBERDAYAAN PETANI IKAN NILA (MERAH) BAGI PENINGKATAN EKONOMI MASYARAKAT

This study aims to determine and explain the empowerment of red tilapia fish farming for the young generation at Desa Penampaan Kecamatan Pokhkisen Southeast Aceh and the impact of empowering red tilapia fish farming for the younger generation and village income. The research method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques using observation instruments, interviews and documentation. All data obtained are analyzed by means of reduction, then presented so that they are easily understood and conclusions can be found. The results of the study explained that; Empowering the cultivation of red tilapia for the younger generation at Desa Penampaan Kecamatan Pokhkisen Southeast Aceh through education and coaching and supplying seedlings and feed for the red tilapia fish farming business group for the younger generation where the source of funding comes from BUMK of Desa Penampaan Kecamatan Pokhkisen Southeast Aceh. The impact of empowering the cultivation of red tilapia for the younger generation and village income, namely for the younger generation who already have a job, already have the skills and expertise in maintaining the red tilapia and the young generation already has an income for their daily needs. While the impact for the village is that it can increase village assets and village income where profits derived from the harvest must be returned to the village treasury by 25% as original village income.

KEGIATAN PELAKSANAAN PEMELIHARAAN TANAM POHON KAMPUNG BUNGA WARNA WARNI DI DESA SUKALAKSANA RW.01 RT.016

Community service activities in the implementation of the maintenance of planting colorful flower village trees in Sukalaksana Village RW.01 RT.016 as a form of environmental conservation that needs to be cultivated, this activity is carried out with the involvement of the Sukalaksana Village community, Youth Organizations, and a team of KKM Students Group 11 UNBAJA 2021. The Maintenance of Planting Colorful Flower Village Trees in Sukalaksana Village RW.01 RT.016 is expected to be able to make the first tap of public awareness to have concern for the environment, especially in this flower village or also called by its original name Kaningan village. This activity not only aims to realize reforestation in Sukalaksana village, but it is also one of the work programs of the 2021 Unbaja Group 11 KKM team, In this community service program method, the team uses an activity method with several stages, namely the Planting Planning stage, Planting Preparation, Determination of Candidate Locations, Need for Number of Seeds, Planting Design, namely the preparation and selection of plant types. Next is tree planting, namely the stage of the tree planting process, from this community service the results obtained are increasing public awareness to have a concern for the environment and nature conservation, especially in this flower village in Sukalaksana Village.

Implementasi Pengelolaan Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDesa) Jatimakmur Dalam Peningkatan Pendapatan Asli Desa (PADes) Di Desa Jatirejoyoso

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of Jatimakmur Village Owned Enterprise Management (BUMDes) in increasing Village Original Income (PADes) in Jatirejoyoso Village. The method used by researchers in this study is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data from interviews with respondents related to the implementation of Jatimakmur BUMDes management in increasing Jatirejoyoso Village Original Income. According to Article 1 Number (6) of Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages, it is written that Village-Owned Enterprises, hereinafter referred to as BUMDes, are business entities whose entire or most of the capital is owned by separate villages to manage assets, services, and other businesses. for the welfare of rural communities. Then, amended through the Job Creation Act no. 11 of 2020 Article 117 and Article 185 explain that BUMDes is a legal entity established by villages and/or together with villages to manage businesses, assets, develop investment and productivity, provide services, and/or other businesses for the greatest welfare. public. Village Original Income (PADes) is all efforts made by the village government to support the implementation of Village Government in the context of implementing Village autonomy (Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages Article 71). According to the explanation of Law Number 6 of 2014 Article 72 paragraph (1) letter a what is meant by "Original Village Income" is income that comes from village authority in managing village assets based on origin and local scale authority. , results of separated village wealth management, results of self-help, community participation and mutual cooperation, other legitimate village original income (Nurcholis, 2011: 82). Efektivitas Pengelolaan Badan Usaha Milik Gampong (BUMG) Gampong Suak Puntong Kecamatan Kuala Pesisir Kabupaten Nagan Raya

BUMG is an institution formed by the village in the form of managing various types of businesses whose results can be enjoyed as much as possible for the village community. The purpose of the establishment of BUMG is to obtain a source of original village income with capital from village funds to be managed properly and for the welfare of the village community. This study aims to determine the level of effectiveness of the management of BUMG Suak Puntong and what are the obstacles that affect the management of BUMG Suak Puntong, Kuala Pesisir District, Nagan Raya Regency. This type of research method uses a case study qualitative research. In collecting data, primary and secondary data were used. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the management of BUMG in Village Suak Puntong, Kuala Pesisir District, Nagan Raya Regency was less effective. The business programs that have been carried out include terracotta rental, chair rental, and savings and loans. Of the three BUMG businesses, only two have been implemented. There are obstacles in the implementation of BUMG, namely from the business managed by the institution, dissatisfaction with the results achieved so far, the BUMG business is still in the development and design stage.

Archetypes of the pandemic.

This paper attempts to read the psychological and emotional impact of the COVID‐19 pandemic through the archetypal images contained in patients’ dreams. In these dreams, symbols related to the power of nature and to extreme danger are paired with feelings of detachment that seem to point to a traumatic dissociation, due to the archetypal experience that erupts in familiar surroundings. Through the humanization of the ineffable experience, dissociation, which in the beginning of the pandemic showed in high levels of anxiety, panic attacks and depersonalization, can be transformed into the overview needed for the search for meaning. The container for this process of transformation is the analyst, the real, virtual or imagined one, and his or her ability to relate and feel.

Beyond authenticity: An ethnographic reflection on Italians in Australia and Italians in Italy

This article highlights a divergence between equivalent cultural practices undertaken by Calabrians in Italy and by individuals originating from Calabria living in Australia. It offers a reflexive framework on identity and authenticity. Previous research on a group of Calabrian-Australian families living in Australia found a widespread feeling among participants that they were ‘more Italian’ than the Italians who live in Italy. On the other hand, similar claims were made in Italy, during a brief period of fieldwork in Calabria among the ‘sedentaries’ (those who did not emigrate). Data show differences between the modus operandi of equivalent cultural practices among the participants in Adelaide and in Calabria and a divergence in participants’ perceptions of ethnic identity and authenticity. In proposing the terms ‘Archetype village’ and ‘Alter Ego village’ to refer respectively to the migrants’ village of origin and their community overseas the article examines notions of authenticity utilising socio-anthropological theory.

The literature on transnationalism has largely tended to focus on first or second-generation migrants. Unlike the literature on plantation studies, this has resulted in a relative blindness to historical inequalities, particularly how these past inequalities going back more than 60 or 70 years or multiple generations, may affect the present in a transnational context. This article examines the growing phenomenon of interest in the transnational and local worship of ancestral tutelary deities (kula devam) among Malaysian Hindus. In doing so, it will specifically look at the role of caste identity in the emergence of transnational ritual and kinship networks. The paper argues that the performance of ritual worship of ancestral deities among Malaysian Hindus – part of a religious response to specific socio-economic changes that have occurred within the pressures of a capitalist, Islamised modernity – has been shaped by entrenched caste and class divisions in contrasting ways. The inequalities at the time of colonial labour migration and the differences between the landed mid-level (non-Brahmin) castes and the landless Adi Dravida "untouchables" or Dalits, seep into the present in the form of revitalisation of ritual-kinship links to Tamil Nadu among the former – a contemporary social sign of their "privileged lineage". At the same time, the lack of economic progress and social ills suffered by the dispossessed in Malaysia, are seen by many Dalit interlocutors as a consequence of ignoring the requisite ritual worship of their kula devam in now often forgotten villages of ancestral origin.

Financial performance and impacts of village fund on post disaster rural economic development in Pidie Jaya-Indonesia

Village Fund is a tremendous budget decentralization scheme in Indonesia. The program has been showing its impacts, particularly in public infrastructure revitalization in rural areas since 2015. This study aims to examine the performance of Village Funds and their impacts on post-disaster economic re-developments. The descriptive statistic analysis was applied to secondary data derived from the 2015-2019 financial reports of 19 villages in Pidie Jaya (Aceh-Indonesia). This study shows that performance in terms of economic output is very poor. The Village Fund failed to generate the Original Village Income through the establishment of the Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDes).

The Effectiveness of Tri Hita Karana Based Traditional Village Management in Covid-19 Prevention at Bali

Traditional villages are original autonomous villages that control the self-government wheels within that are still alive and their position is recognized in the government system of the Indonesian Republic. The Covid-19 pandemic that is currently happening is causing an economic slowdown and a decline in public health. Bali Regional Government issued a policy in Bali Governor Regulation Number 15 of 2020 regarding the Policy for the Acceleration of Handling Covid-19 in the Province of Bali by reallocating a Traditional Village Fund of Rp. 300,000,000.00 for the response to Covid-19 by involving the soldiers and manners of the Traditional Village. The effectiveness of the Traditional Village Fund management is based on local wisdom, where the principles of Tri Hita Karana (Parahyangan, Pawongan, and Palemahan) as a philosophical foundation that are held in carrying out every activity, program, and policy are the focus of this research. This research uses a qualitative research method. Data were taken directly from field studies and literature studies. The implementation of Tri Hita Karana provides a new color in financial management in Indonesia. Technical implementation, reporting, prosecution of alleged fraud, and consultative accountability manner and rich in local wisdom values upheld by Bendesa, Prajuru Desa Adat, and Krama Desa positively impact influencing the community mindset and behavior in complying with existing regulations or policies set. However, it cannot be denied that there are still contradictions between Bali’s traditional village governance in generating accountable and transparent management of funds.

Return home and start new businesses: internal migration in China

Internal migration patterns in China are characterised by rapid urbanisation and cross‐regional movement and more recently by the return of migrants to their native counties. This study investigates the drivers of migrants' permanent return and their likelihood of starting new businesses in their counties of origin. The results suggest that migrants are discouraged from permanent resettlement in urban areas because of family ties and the aspiration to start businesses in their villages of origin. The study also provides evidence that the probability of starting a business upon return is affected by the migrants' accumulation of work experience, business experience, the savings earned while away, financial stability, and the social capital they have in their home counties. The results provide important insights for emerging countries in overcoming rapid urbanisation and imbalanced regional economic growth.

QUO VADIS VILLAGE FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: TRANSPARENCY VS ACCOUNTABILITY (CASE STUDY IN BOGOR DISTRICT)

Villages obtain their sources of income from original village income, transfers, and other income. Considerable income makes the village government demand to increase transparency and accountability along with the development of public sector accounting. However, transparency and accountability are still a problem for some villages. This study aimed to determine the effect of transparency and accountability on the financial management in 13 villages in Sukaraja District, Bogor Regency. The data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to 83 respondents, selected using the purposive sampling method. The data analysis methods included a validity test, reliability test, t-test, f-test, coefficient of determination test, multiple linear regression, normality test, heteroscedasticity test, and descriptive statistics. Partial testing with t-test showed that transparency had no significant effect on village financial management because some respondents answered that they disagreed. Therefore, it can be concluded that transparency had been implemented but not yet maximized. While accountability partially had a significant effect on village financial management, accountability had run well. Based on the simultaneous testing results with the f-test, transparency and accountability simultaneously positively affected village financial management. Conflict on the Determination and Confirmation of the Boundary of Nagari Sungai Buluh District, Batang Anai District, Padang Pariaman Regency

The purpose of this study is to describe the reasons for refusal to define and confirm the boundaries of the area in Nagari Sungai Buluh. This article is based on a qualitative case study conducted using in-depth interviews and observation data collection methods. The conflict between Nagari Sungai Buluh and Nagari Sungai Buluh Selatan has occurred since the issuance of Minister of Home Affairs Regulation (Permendagri) number 45 of 2016 concerning the establishment and confirmation of village boundaries which mandates each local government to establish and confirm village boundaries. Based on the regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs, Nagari Sungai Buluh Selatan has determined the boundaries of the administrative area with the original village before the expansion, namely Nagari Sungai Buluh (main), this can be seen from the 2012 customary density decision letter of the nagari, but when it will confirm the boundaries These problems arise, one of which is not receiving the results of the initial agreement.
