Upaya Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Ips Peserta Didik Melalui Penerapan Metode Kerja Kelompok Kelas VII pada SMP PGRI Tumbang Mirah Kecamatan Katingan Tengah

This study aims: (1) Increasing the activity of IPS VII grade students in SMP Tumbang Mirah, (2) Knowing the learning outcomes of Social Sciences class VII of PGRI Tumbang Mirah Middle School. The method used by researchers is to use the Classroom Action Research (CAR) design. For data collection techniques used were observation and tests with a population of 30 IPS VII grade students of PGRI Tumbang Mirah Middle School. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The results showed that: (1) the learning activities of IPS 7th grade students of SMP Tumbang Mirah using more active Group Work Method Implementation, (2) there was an increase in Accounting learning outcomes of IPS VII grade students of SMP Tumbang Mirah using Application of Group Work Methods which shows Accounting learning outcomes in the first cycle obtained an average of 68.5% with 66.6% classical completeness and in the second cycle an average of 7.8% with 93.3% classical completeness.

MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KELAS VII SMP AMALIA PALU DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PENJUMLAHAN DAN PENGURANGAN BILANGAN BULAT PADA PEMBERIAN TUGAS YANG MEMUAT PROBLEM POSING SECARA BERKELOMPOK

The main problem in this study is the low level of understanding of VII grade students of Amalia Palu in integer addition and subtraction material. Some things that cause these problems, including (1) students still have difficulty in solving problems related to the addition and subtraction operations of integers. (2) understanding the concept of addition operations and the reduction of integers is still lacking, this is because students are less active in learning and only receive information from the teacher without reciprocity from students. To improve students' understanding, the researcher applied a summing learning model and integer reduction on assignments that included problem posing in groups. Problem posing learning model that emphasizes constructivist understanding through group work and is heterogeneous. The results of the research carried out obtained student learning outcomes in the first cycle, of the 20 students who took the final test there were 12 students who completed the study with a percentage of classical completeness of 60 %. Student learning outcomes in the second cycle showed that of the 20 students who took the final test it was seen that 19 students who completed learning or classical learning completeness were 95%. In addition, there is also an increase in student activity in learning activities. Based on these results it can be concluded that addition learning and integer reduction in the assignment of tasks that contain problem posing in groups can improve students' understanding.

COMPARISON OF EFFECTIVENESS OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL OF TEAM GAMES AND TOURNAMENT (TGT) TYPE AND JIGSAW TYPE IN MATHEMATICS LEARNING OF GRADE VII AT PUBLIC JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS IN CENTRAL MALUKU DISTRICT

The study aims at comparing the effectiviness between cooperative learning model of Jigsaw type and cooperative learning model of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type on quadrangle material. The comparison of the effectiveness is based on (1). Learning outcomes, (2) students’ activities, and (3) students’ response. The type of the study is quasi experiment research. The populations were all of the students of grade VII at public junior high schools in Central Maluku district. Samples consisted of two classes, namely the experiment group I taught by using cooperative learningmodel of Jigsaw type and the experiment group II taught by using TGT type, which were obtained by employing simple random sampling technique. The instruments used were RPP, THB, LOAS, questionnaire of students’ response, observation sheet of learning implementation, and LKS. Data collection consisted of learning outcomes, data of students’ activities in learning, and data of students’ response on tools and learning. Data of students’ activities and sudents’response were analyzed by using the mean scores; whereas, data of learning outcomes was analyzed by using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of the study reveal that the implemantation of cooperative learning model of Jigsaw type was in very effective category with learning outcomes was in high category, the mean score 87,83, median 88, maximum 100, minimum 67, and standard of deviation was 7,58. The result of hypothesis test at the level of significance =0,05 with t test indicate thet the learning using cooperative learning model of Jigsaw type is effective than cooperative learning model of TGT type on quadrangle material in grade VII at public junior high school in Central Maluku district.

STRUKTUR DAN DIKSI TEKS LAPORAN HASIL OBSERVASI KARYA SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 24 PADANG

ABSTRACT This study aims to (1) describe the structure of the report text of the observations of the work of class VII students of SMP Negeri 24 PAdang. (2) describe the diction of the report text of the observations by the VII grade students of SMP Negeri 24 Padang. The results of this study are (1) in writing the text of the report on the observation of the seventh grade students of Padang Public Middle School 24 using the three text structures of the observation report. The third structure of the report's text structure is the general definition, part description and description of benefits. This is evident from the 30 text reports on the results of the observations that have been analyzed, there are 28 complete observation report texts using general definitions, part descriptions, and description of benefits. (2) when viewed from diction usage with 94% accuracy of diction usage and 6% inaccurate use of diction in observation report text by class VII students of Padang Middle School 24. The Development of Handout Images and Map of Concept In Material Classification of Living Things for Student of Class VII Junior High School 23 Padang

Learning media is one of the determinants of success in the learning process in school. The use of learning media will greatly help the effectiveness of the learning process and add one of the teaching materials that can be used by students in learning. But the role of learning media will not be seen if its use is not in accordance with the learning objectives that have been formulated. Students find it difficult to connect the concepts contained in the material, then students find it difficult to understand the material concepts. The material on biology teaching materials used is like narration, language that is difficult to understand, and the appearance is less attractive. To overcome this problem, the teacher needs to develop teaching materials that are expected to be interesting and easy to understand by students in understanding the concepts contained in biology learning material. Teaching materials developed are Handouts. This research is Development Research conducted at FMIPA UNP and Padang Junior High School 23, using the Plomp development model (2013). The subject of this study consisted of 2 lecturers of Biology Department FMIPA UNP, 1 Biology teacher at SMP 23 Padang, and 29 students in grade VII of SMP 23 Padang. The data in this study are data obtained from the validity test questionnaire and practicality test. This data includes primary data, namely data obtained directly from the research subject.From the research, produced a nuanced handout of drawings and concept maps of living class classification material for class VII students of SMP which were categorized as valid with a value of 4.50, stated to be very practical with a value of 4.60 by the teacher and very practical with a value of 4.40 by participants student.

Students’ mental model in solving the patterns of generalization problem

Mental models are representations of students’ minds concepts to explain a situation or an on-going process. The purpose of this study is to describe students’ mental model in solving mathematical patterns of generalization problem. Subjects in this study were the VII grade students of junior high school in Situbondo, East Java, Indonesia. This study was conducted using the qualitative descriptive method to investigate students’ mental model during the process of solving the problem of generalization patterns. Students were required to speak aloud what he or she was thinking about solving problems (think-aloud). Based on the data obtained, the students’ mental models in solving the patterns of generalization problem can be classified into two kinds of mental models, namely: (1) direct mental model and (2) indirect mental model. Students classified using direct mental model were using the only generalization of algebraic in solving the problem. Meanwhile, students classified using indirect mental model were using a combination of both generalizations of algebraic and arithmetic. Based on the results of the study, teachers are required to take into account students’ mental model in solving the generalization patterns problem to achieve better learning process.

DEVELOPMENT OF MODULE OF LEARNING GEOMETRY BASED ON VAN HIELE THEORY

The aim of this research was to develop a teaching and learning module using Van Hiele theories for quadrilateral topics in grade VII students in middle school, which is valid, practical, and effective. Literatures explain that nowadays the students over generalize the concept of geometry without further understanding about the concept of geometry and the skills of proving and reasoning that geometry field try to improved. The method used was research and development with modification of Borg and Gall and Plump method. The initial investigation stage result stated that only 22.6% of students reached level 2 informal deduction, 35.5% students reached level 1 analysis and the rest of students were still in level 0 visualization. In order to solve this problem, the design and realization stages developed a module which was written based on phase of learning geometry. Next, the module was verified through trial test in a class of students grade VII in order to get data of validity and effectivity. Lastly, the module was tested through experimental research by comparing experimental and control class. The module was valid based on validator review. The module was effective because it can increase students geometry thinking level by 48%. The nonparametric test using K-S and Man Whitney show that the result of level of geometry thinking in experimental class was better than the control class. Overall result state that the module valid and effective

DEVELOPING VISUAL ART IN LEARNING SPEAKING SKILL FOR STUDENTS OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

The objective of this study was to develop English learning media based on students’ needs. This research was conducted in SMP N 37 Medan for students in grade VII which consists of 30 students. This study followed the steps of research and development proposed by Borg and Gall (1983), which are 1) need analysis; 2) planning (develop preliminary form of product); 3) Collecting data; 4) designing media; 4) media evaluation; 5) revising (designing final product). It was found that 96.66% students agreed that the existing an interactive learning medium currently used by the students of Junior High School. The more relevant media were developed based on student needs, which can provide opportunities for students to participate in the classroom. The learning media were developed into 4 media based on 4 units of speaking materials. Then the learning media were validated by two experts. The average score of the validation was 90. It showed that the developed learning media were very good, relevant and feasible.Keywords: English learning media, speaking, visual art media.

Application of investigation group learning model on triangle lesson

Cooperative learning is a learning tool that prioritizes cooperation among students in groups to achieve learning objectives. The learning model has several types, including cooperative learning model of investigation group type and direct learning model. This type of research is experimental research and pre-experimental design type pre-test and post-test with quantitative approach. Population in this study were all students in grade VII of state junior high school 3 Banda Aceh, while the sample was taken two classes by random sampling that is class VII6 which applied by model of investigation group study type and class VII4 applied by non group investigation model. Data collection is done by using the test. Quantitative data processing is done by using two way t-test with a significant level of 0,05. Based on data analysis can be concluded that there is no difference of student learning outcomes on the application of learning model type of investigation group with student learning outcomes on the application of non-group investigation model on triangle lesson in grade VII students of state junior high school 3 Banda Aceh.

PENGARUH STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF DAN KREATIVITAS DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL MATEMATIKA

Abstract. The Influence of Learning Strategy Towards Cognitive Ability and Creativity in Solving Mathematics Problems (An Experiment Study on Students at SMPN in Bone District. The Study aims at examining the influence of learning strategy towards cognitive ability and students’ creativity in solving Mathematics problems. The population of the study was the entire SMPN in Bone district with A accreditation and students of grade VII at SMPN 1 Watampone and SMPN 2 Watampone with as many as 129 students were chosen. The samples of the study were 25 grade VII.B students at SMPN 1 Watampone and 25 grad VII.A students at SMPN 2 Watampone.The Study was an experiment research with factorial desin. Data were collected using test result instrument in a form on an essay. Data were analyzed by employing desriptive analysis and inferential analysis with SPSS 22.00 program.The result of the study revealed that students’ cognitive ability taught by employing mind map learning strategy at the experiment 1 was in high category. Students’ cognitive ability taught by employing expository learning strategy at the experiment 2 was in fair category. Students’ creativity in solving Mathematics problems taught by employing mind map learning strategy at the experiment 1 was in fair category on the aspects f fluency, flexibility, and originality; whereas, students’ creativity in solving Mathematics problems taught by employing expository learning strategy at experiment 2 was in fair category on the aspects of fluency, flexibility, and originality. The results indicated that there were differences between cognitive ability and creativity in solving Mathematics problems of students who were taught by employing mind map learning strategy and expository learning strategy.

Students’ difficulties in solving the mathematics word problems with the context of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)

The purpose of this research was to know the student’s difficulties in solving mathematics word problems with the context of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). ESD is an educational concept proclaimed by UNESCO which purposed to fulfill the needs of the present generation without risking the needs of the next generation. In other words, ESD could be said to be an effort to achieve sustainable development. There are 3 ESD contexts: environment, economy and culture. ESD concepts are expected to be integrated in learning, including mathematics learning. Therefore the learning method, teaching materials, learning media and evaluation used should support the implementation of ESD. This research was a qualitative research involving 30 students of SMP grade VII in one school in Bandung. Data was obtained from observation, interview and test. The test was about the number and comparison material. The result of this research was that students had difficulties in solving word problem. First the students had misinterpretation of the problem. Second, student was lack of comprehension of the problem posed. Third, students were not careful and also having an error in interchanging values.

Advisability of integrated science teaching material on the topic of environmental pollution to increase environmental literacy and critical thinking of junior high school students

This research aims to produce integrated science teaching material on the topic of environmental pollution and to obtain empiric factors about the advisability of integrated science teaching material to increase environmental literacy and critical thinking. The research method used the Research and Development (R&D).The object of this research was the integrated science teaching material on the topic of environmental and the implementation in Junior High School Student. While the subjects of this research were Junior High School Students grade VII in Bandung. The text books development method used the model for the process of writing instructional materials. This research used instrument assessment of textbook quality and the readability for of their main ideas instrument. Draft I of teaching material was tested in limited field of Junior High School using the readability for of their main ideas instrument, this draft was also validated by 3 lecturers and 10 Junior High School teachers using assessment of textbook quality. Sampling technique used in this research was qualitative. The results of teaching material development showed high quality percentage of 80,24% with excellent criteria, even though, the readability for of their main ideas test showed percentage of 89.1% with high criteria (independent category).

PENGARUH POLA ASUH ORANG TUA DAN PENGGUNAAN GADGET TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATA PELAJARAN IPS SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 1 SINGOSARI

<div class="WordSection1">Based on the theory of learning outcomes, Clark states that student learning outcomes in schools are 70% influenced by students' abilities and 30% are influenced by the environment. The part of the environment is parents and technology (gadgets). To prove the theory, the purpose of this research is 1. Find out the influence level of parental care on social science learning achievement of Grade VII students in SMPN 1 Singosari, 2. find out the influence level of gadget use on social science learning achievement of Grade VII students in SMPN 1 Singosari, 3. find out the influence level of parental care and gadget use on social science learning achievement of Grade VII students in SMPN 1 Singosari. To achieve the aims, the researcher employed quantitative research using correlational approach. The population consists of 324 students of Grade VII in SMP Negeri 1 Singosariand the researcher took 180 samples out of the population. The data analysis is conducted using classical assumption tests such as normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test and multiple linear regression analysis, determination, t-test and F-test. The results showed that parenting and the use of gadgets simultaneously or simultaneously affect the results of students' eyes IPS student grade VII SMPN 1 Singosari, meaning that the more optimal parent care pattern, bush in the optimal use of the gadgets used properly and parental supervision in the use of gadgets will affect student learning outcomes and student learning outcomes will be better.<p><strong><em>Keywords: parental care; gadget use; learning outcomes</em></strong></p></div><strong><br clear="all" /></strong>

Scientific Attitudes, Activities and Learning Outcomes of Student in Material of Fungi Using Predict Observe Explain (Poe) Model Based on Bioedutainment


 
 
 
 This study aims to determine the effectiveness of POE model based on bioedutainmentimplementation in material of fungi towards activity, scientific attitude and learning outcome of VII grade students. This study uses a one-shot case study research design. The population of this study is students of class VII SMPN 1 Secang, while the sample is students of class VII B. The hypothesis used is that POE method based on bioedutainment is effective towards the learning outcome of the students. The sample was taken by purposive sampling method. POE based on bioedutainment was applied to the sample class by using game elements in each POE syntax. The results of this study indicate the percentage of student activity is 83% and the percentage of their scientific attitude is 70% in the category of good and very good. The result of student learning completeness is 70% with an average value of 80.33. The teacher's response stated that students became active and enthusiastic about learning. The conclusion of the study is that the POE model based on bioedutainment is effective towards the activity, scientific attitude, and learning outcome of the students. 
 
 
 

Selecting Appropriate Instructional Media for Teaching Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan Subject to Students of Junior High School

The aim of this research was to select the appropriate instructional media for teaching Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn) subject at SMP Negeri 7 Kotamobagu. The learning of PPKn in this school had not run maximally due to the less and inadequate instructional media. The school had lack selection of instructional media, not only in accommodating learning on the subject but also in motivating students to learn. Student learning outcomes decreased and did not exceed the passing standard. Therefore, the provision of appropriate instructional media is needed. This research is to select an instructional media based on the characteristics of the subject, students’ perception and the school facilities that support the media. The subjects of this research are one PPkn teacher of class VII, and 100 students of grade VII. This research used interview, observation, and survey in collecting the data. The results showed that based on the interview, the use of book only as the instructional media could not maximize the learning process. The appropriate media to use was multimedia as it was able to accommodate most of the materials on this subject. The observation on the school’s facilities also supported the use of multimedia in the learning process. Furthermore, the result of the survey showed that students chose multimedia as the instructional media that most likely motivated them to learn.

Design of Mathematics Student Worksheet based on Discovery Learning Approach to Improving Mathematical Representation Ability Students of Grade VII Junior High School in Indonesia

The ability of mathematical representation is very important for someone to help in solving the problem. This type of research is a development research. This article aims to obtain a student workbook design based on Discovery Learning that is oriented towards students' mathematical representation abilities. This research is a research development of Research and Development (R & D) with 4D development model which includes defining, design, development, and dissemination. This study is limited only to the design stage. Subjects in this study are students of junior high school grade VII in central java Indonesia. An instrument used in this study in the form of essay questions, questionnaire and interview guidelines. This research resulted in the worksheet (LKS) design based on Discovery Learning based on the ability of mathematical representation to improve the ability of mathematical representation. The next stage will be the research stage of development and dissemination to produce a valid, practical, and useful worksheet.

Development of Students Worksheet based on Realistic Mathematics Education in Indonesia

A concept of mathematics is one of the essential goals in learning mathematics. Providing an understanding that the material taught to students is not only as a recitation but also as the concept of the subject matter itself. This study aims to develop student worksheet based on realistic mathematical approach. The method used in this study is the stages of 4-D development research which consists of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. This study employed two data collection instruments. The first is expert validation which was used to measure the validity. Meanwhile the second is questionnaire which was used to measure students’ practicality and to get product development assessment from experts and students. The results showed that the developed worksheet is valid with the validity level of 3.67 for the content aspect, 3.60 for the constructed aspect, and 3.50 for the language aspect. The worksheet was tested to 21 students of grade VII in MTs N 2 Gunungkidul Indonesia. The test results stated that the worksheet received a good response from students. Therefore, it can be used in the process of learning mathematics in class.

Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPA KD Klasifkasi Makhluk Hidup Siswa Kelas VII-D SMP Negeri 1 Gandusari Blitar

The process and learning outcomes in grades VII D SMP Negeri 1 Gandusari Blitar is not optimal yet. Marked lack of students cooperation among, crowded situation, and less productive interaction in the classroom. Learning outcomes in science, especially Biology is still unde KKM. The assessment was focused on cognitive domains. Application of Jigsaw cooperative learning model type is believed to improve learning outcomes, as the students be more active. It also can increase students responsibilities and cooperation. By using this method the students be able to respect each other. The purpose of this study is to know the increase of science SMP Negeri 1 Gandusari Blitar grade VII D. This classroom action research was carried out in SMP Negeri 1 Gandusari Blitar grade VII D with the number of 40 students consisting of 20 boys and 20 girls with a low learning outcomes. This research was conducted in three cycles. The indicator of the research is during the process the student is active, And classically 85% of students get value more than 70 ( ≥ 70). The third class-action research cycle that has been done show the improvement of SMP Negeri 1 Gandusari students grade VII D in frst semester 2009/2010 academic year.

PROSES BERPIKIR SISWA SMP DALAM MEMECAHKAN MASALAH MATEMATIK DITINJAU DARI GAYA KOGNITIF FIELD DEPENDENT DAN FIELD INDEPENDENT

This study aims to describe the thinking process of junior high school students in solving mathematical problems reviewed based on cognitive style field dependent and field independent. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method, while the method of data retrieval is test and interview. The study conducted on the VII grade students of SMPN 2 Marga Asih.The subjects of the study were 2 students from junior high school consisting of 1 students with cognitive field dependent and 1 student style with an independent cognitive field. The results showed that there were significant differences between the two subjects in processing information, that was the subject of FI understand the problem better when compared with the subject of FD. Because if processing information was not stored properly, it will be very influential in the next step.
