This building stands in the very centre of Geneva, and is made up of: — two basements, where the different types of mechanical and electrical installations are to be found; — a ground floor, with a hall for the public, ticket office and cash safes; — six floors of offices, with management and lecture rooms; — an attic, with terrace, which is where the staff dining room and cafeteria is located. Construction made of reinforced concrete slabs, resting on walls also made of concrete or on steel and concrete pillars. The frontage, from the pavement to the metal and glass awning which surrounds the building, has a granite coating. The upper part is made of large monolithic squares of artificial stone with double glass panels. The attic is completely glazed. Marble, stone, linoleum and carpeted floors, according to the use and function of the premises. The building is fully equipped with: two lifts, two document lifts, pneumatic mail, alarm system, automatic fire-extinction installation and air conditioning and ventilation installations, telephone, electric and lighting systems.
