Investigation Of Character Values In Students Through Festivals In Minangkabau Culture Subjects

This research aims to describe the instillation of character values in students through cultural festivals using a descriptive quantitative approach. Data collection was conducted through surveys, which assessed students' understanding of the character values imparted during various festival activities, such as *baralek gadang*, *randai*, traditional dance, *manampih bareh*, and *petatah petitih*. The results reveal that the majority of students possess a good to very good understanding of these character values, as demonstrated by the data analysis, which showed a score of 87.54%. The research findings suggest that the Minangkabau cultural festival plays a significant role in shaping students' positive attitudes and character development by promoting important values like cooperation, tolerance, responsibility, and cultural pride. These results underscore the effectiveness of using local cultural practices as a means of character education. The integration of local wisdom, such as the Minangkabau festival, can enhance students' personal growth and moral development, making it a vital component in higher education curricula. The study highlights the broader benefits of embedding cultural traditions within the educational system to foster a stronger connection between students and their cultural heritage, while simultaneously building essential character traits

ANALISIS PERAN GURU DALAM PENERAPAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI DI SMK NEGERI 1 LOLOMATUA

Background: This research is motivated by the researcher's findings on the role of teachers in implementing character education to students at SMK Negeri 1 Lolomatua who are classified as having less effective learning abilities in the learning process. This research aims to: (1) Find out students' abilities in character education in Biology learning at SMK Negeri 1 Lolomatua, (2) Find out the teacher's obstacles in implementing character education in Biology learning at SMK Negeri 1 Lolomatua, (3) Find out the learning outcomes of participants students towards character education abilities in Biology learning at SMK Negeri 1 Lolomatua. Methods: The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach. The research location is at SMK Negeri 1 Lolomatua, Lolomatua District, South Nias Regency. The research subjects were 17 class X ATPH students. Results: Based on the research results, it shows that: (1) The application of character education in the learning process to determine the ability of students' learning outcomes in the cognitive domain in Biology learning on character values, namely cognitive ability test questions which consist of levels consisting of: knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, evaluation and creation used in the form of essay test questions with a total of 5 questions, (2) The results of students' learning test scores in Biology learning on character values ​​not all reached KKM 65, the average score of the participants students are 60, and the highest score is 70 and the lowest score is 60, (3) Barriers in implementing character education include the availability of media that is not available at school, students who do not understand the material, limited time in implementing learning activities. Conclusion: The results of students' learning test scores in Biology learning on character values ​​did not all reach a KKM of 65, the average score of students was 60, and the highest score was 70 and the lowest score was 60.

Validity and Reliability of the Situational Judgment Test Instrument for Assessing the 'Pancasila' Student Profile

Character measurement has become increasingly relevant and needed in recent years due to its significant impact on individual success in various aspects of life. In the Indonesian context, the Pancasila Student Profile (PSP) is one set of character values being promoted in the curriculum. However, methods of character measurement such as self-assessment, peer assessment, and observation still have many limitations. The Situational Judgement Test (SJT) is a behavioral measurement tool with the advantage of reducing measurement bias. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the psychometric properties, i.e. validity and reliability, of the SJT-based PSP measurement instrument. The sample size was 351 tenth-grade students. The research findings include an Aiken's V index of 0.684, Goodness of Fit statistics with χ²/df = 122.299/48, CFI = 0.938, TLI = 0.915, RMSEA = 0.066, and SRMR = 0.046, all within the good fit category. The empirical data of PSP align with the GRM model, with item fit MNSQ method showing 59 items fitting the GRM model and item fit MNSQ method. The PSP instrument has a Construct Reliability (CR) of 0.967 and an average variance explained (AVE) of 0.830. These findings contribute theoretically and practically to the field of measurement, indicating that the SJT-based instrument is valid and reliable for measuring PSP.

The Teacher's Role in Forming Character of Care for the Environment and Student Discipline

The school has an education system designed to suit the needs of the times, one of which is character education, in character education there is the value of disciplined character. Students need to have a disciplined character so that positive values emerge in their daily activities This research aims to describe the role of teachers in forming students ' environmentally caring character and discipline through themes. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. At Seluan Island 1 Middle School. From the research results, it can be concluded that the role of teachers in forming disciplined character through environmental care activities at Seluan Island 1 Middle School, there are regular face-to-face meetings from 14.00 to 17.00, through environmental care activities carried out with a block model, namely by motivating continuously, then a regular model, namely, Saturday and Sunday Camps, Routine Training, Nature Exploration, and Ramu, Raft and Terap Inauguration so that it can transform students' disciplined attitudes through several physical, mental and skills activities through activities which were at the Saturday and Sunday camp held at SMP Negeri 1 Seluan Island. Because these activities can provide students with provisions ranging from knowledge to skills to shape their mental and character.

Program Management for Strengthening Science and Character Education Learning Outcomes in Vocational Schools throughout Sebatik Nunukan Island - North Kalimantan

Research This research examines the management of knowledge strengthening and character education programs in vocational schools throughout Sebatik Nunukan, North Kalimantan. Using a qualitative approach, data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies with research subjects including teachers, school principals, and students. Data analysis was carried out using thematic methods and the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model. The research results show that limited educational facilities such as laboratories and libraries hinder the science teaching process. Character education is often inconsistent due to a lack of training and support for teachers, requiring ongoing training and professional support. Local community participation in character education is still limited, even though it is very important to create an environment that supports character values. This research emphasizes the importance of improving educational facilities, continuous training for teachers, community involvement, implementing innovative learning methods, and utilizing technology in programs to strengthen knowledge and character education in vocational schools throughout Sebatik Nunukan. It is hoped that these efforts can improve the quality of education and produce a generation that is competent and has good character.

INVESTIGATION OF THE CHARACTER VALUE TOLERANCE IN MULTICULTURAL LEARNING IN ELEMENTARY SCHOLL

Instilling the character values of tolerance in multicultural learning is a process of integrating attitudes of mutual respect and acceptance of differences in culture, religion, ethnicity, and other backgrounds in education. Therefore, this study aims to determine the validity of the instrument for instilling the character values of tolerance in multicultural learning. Data were obtained through the PISA database, 2018 edition, with code numbers SC017 and SC061. Data were analyzed with the help of the JASP (Jeffrey's Amazing Statistics Program) application with the CFA (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) analysis method. This study used primary data with 335 respondents from schools in Indonesia. The indicators used to measure the character value instillation instrument are the curriculum and multicultural learning. The CFI value = 0.999, NFI = 0.985, IFI = 0.999, and RNI = 0.999 have also been in accordance with the criteria applied to obtain the fit model. Thus, the character value instillation instruments whose validity was tested is included as fit. The implications of this study indicate that valid and fit assessment instruments can be applied in Indonesian schools to instill tolerance values through a multicultural curriculum. This helps policymakers and educators develop more inclusive and tolerant education programs, supporting harmonious living in diverse societies.

This research aims to discuss: (1) the value of intelligent character, an attitude of faith and piety, (2) the value of intelligent character, an honest attitude, (3) the value of intelligent character, an intelligent attitude, (4) the value of intelligent character, a tough attitude, (5) the value of intelligent character an caring attitude, Abu Nawas's Ingenious Story Group Traps Thieves Mulasih Tary and Abdul Muhammad Baiyazid's version, published in 2022. This type of research is literary research using descriptive methods. This research data is in the form of words, phrases, clauses or sentences in the form of speech and behavior of characters related to intelligent character values. Data was collected by reading and understanding the contents of the fairy tale, marking words, phrases, clauses and sentences and taking an inventory of intelligent character values. Data is analyzed through the stages of identifying and classifying data, analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions and reporting the results in the form of a thesis. This research found: (1) intelligent character values, attitudes of faith and piety, indicators of faith and piety, carrying out commands and avoiding prohibitions, being grateful and sincere; (2) the value of intelligent character, honest attitude, indicators of saying what is true, acting based on the truth, being responsible, and fulfilling obligations and accepting rights; (3) intelligent character values, intelligent attitudes, indicators of logical thinking, finding solutions, creative, forward thinking and positive; (4) intelligent character values, tough attitudes, indicators of being thorough, patient, skilled, not giving up and being test-resistant; (5) intelligent character values, caring attitudes, indicators of politeness, obeying orders, deliberation, being helpful and forgiving.

Optimalisasi Penerapan Program Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dan Profil Pelajar Rahmatan Lil Alamin (PPRA) Melalui Pengembangan Literasi Menulis

Writing literacy is one of the programs developed at MI Tarbiyatus Shibyan grade 6 to provide writing skills for students as one of the final assignment products before graduating from Madrasah. Writing literacy is not only a technical skill, but also as a means of strengthening the values ​​of character, spirituality and social awareness promoted by the Program for Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile (P5) and the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Student Profile (PPRA). The aim of this research is to explore the optimization of the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Program (P5) and the Rahmanan lil Alamin Student Profile (PPRA). This research uses a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive type. Source selection uses purposive and data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validation uses triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of this research are that there were 11 groups, each of which produced 11 paper talk products, which in the process integrated the P5 values, namely Mutual Cooperation, Independence and Critical Reasoning, while the PPRA values ​​applied were Deliberation (Shura), Tolerance (Tasamuh), Dynamic and Innovative (tatawur and Ibtikar).

LAYANAN EDUKASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER CERDAS PENGABDIAN KEPADA MASYARAKAT UNTUK MENANAMKAN NILAI-NILAI KARAKTER JUJUR PADA INDIVIDU

Abstract: Knowledge, attitudes and skills regarding honest character values ​​can be provided through intelligent character education educational services in a classroom format to service participants. The aim of this community service research is to provide education to the public to have knowledge, skills and attitudes regarding honest character values, including: (1) telling it as it is; (2) acting on the basis of truth; (3) defending the truth; (4) responsible; (5) fulfill obligations and receive rights; (6) open-minded; and (7) keeping promises. The location, data source, respondents and research population were all 70 GPT youth who were members of the fellowship at Mola Tumori. The research instrument was a closed questionnaire and analyzed with inferential statistics and the results were described. The results of the research concluded that the intelligent character education service, community service to instill intelligent, honest character values, is very effective in providing understanding, knowledge, attitudes and skills to service participants; the average understanding score before being given the service was in the poor category with a score of 57.53%, while after being given the service it rose to the very good category with a score of 86.15%; The increase in score obtained by each participant was at least 18% and the maximum was 41%. It is recommended that educators, counselors and religious leaders use this intelligent character education service in a class format to instill honest character values ​​in service participants. Sosialisasi Guru Madrasah dalam Membentuk Karakter Displin dan Tanggung Jawab di SD IT Ar Ridha Tanjung Pura

This community service activity aims to explore the methods used by madrasah teachersin sosializing the values of dicpline and responbility to elementary school student.I n thi effor, community service activities were carried out at SD IT Ar Ridha Tanjung Pura using a Participatory Action Research (PAR), approach, activities including teachers training, implementaion of learning strategies in the classroom,evaluation of program efectivenes. The results of the analysis show the that training provided is able to improve teacher skil in integrating the values of dicipline and responbilityin learning. Apart from that, the implementation of the strategies taught show of positive impact on students discplinary behavior. This study clonludes that collaboration among teachers, student, sosializing character values can create a condusife learning enviroments support caharacter increased development and recommendations are provided chararcter development program for elemantry school/MI.

Peran Konseling Keluarga Dalam Memperbaiki Hubugan Orang Tua dan Anak di Lingkungan Keluarga

This research aims to explain research findings regarding the role of parents in instilling character values ??in children and the way families and people behave in educating children. Apart from that, this method can help families improve the relationship between parents and children in the family environment. This research is qualitative research that uses descriptive analysis to determine the role of counseling in improving parent-child relationships in the family environment. Research results are summarized based on research focus. According to research, the first is the cause of family conflict between parents and children, the second is the family counseling process, the first research is the cause of family conflict between parents and children, the second is the family counseling process which can identify basic problems in the relationship between parents and children, third namely the counseling approach most commonly used to improve the relationship between parents and children and finally the family counseling process which can help improve communication between parents and children.

Implementation of multicultural education values in the learning process in grade V elementary school

Indonesia is a country that has a wide range of diversity in language, religion, culture, ethnicity, and customs. Diversity can trigger differences that have a negative impact, if not balanced with tolerance. Tolerance must be introduced early so that students have character values that can provide for the future. This research aims to analyze the role of teachers in applying the value of multicultural education in the learning process and the importance of instilling the value of multicultural education in students. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative method. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation until triangulation. The data analysis technique used refers to the Miles & Huberman theory, namely with the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions/verification. The results of this study show that the implementation of multicultural education values can be done through habituation activities of character values in students that are arranged in the teacher's strategy.

Analisis Nilai Pendidikan Karakter dalam Buku Cerita Rakyat Sangkuriang dan Bahan Ajarnya Di Sekolah Dasar

Abstract: Character education is an effort to develop a person's potential to form a good personality with noble character and high morals. The problem in this research is that the value of character education is starting to fade in elementary school students. The aim of this research is to find out the character values ​​in the Sangkuriang Folklore Book. The method used in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The study in this research is the character values ​​in the Sangkuriang Folklore Book and its teaching materials in elementary schools. This book contains various character values ​​that are useful in developing and shaping children's characters. The results of this research show that there are character values ​​in the Sangkuriang Folklore Book, namely (1) Religious, (2) Social, (3) Justice, (4) Honesty, (5) Independence, (6) Fighting power, (7) Responsibility answer, (8) work hard, and (9) be friendly. Based on the research results, the book is suitable and can be used as teaching material that teachers can use in teaching in elementary schools.

Human Resource Development Planning Oriented Towards Character Building in Santri: A Case Study in Soppeng District's Islamic Boarding Schools

This research aims to know and discover human resource development planning oriented towards building students' character. This research is a case study or field research using qualitative methods with a constructivist paradigm. This research was carried out at 6 Islamic boarding schools in Soppeng district. The research results show that planning for human resource development in the character education program for the six Islamic boarding schools in Soppeng Regency was carried out carefully by involving various parties, such as Islamic boarding school leaders, teaching staff and parents of students. The character education program considers religious values, students' needs, and current developments. However, several Islamic boarding schools still have teaching staff who have yet to participate in workshops on Character education. As a suggestion in this research, Islamic boarding school leaders always carry out good planning in human resource management development, incorporate character values into the moral development process in Islamic boarding schools, and encourage teaching staff to participate in workshops or training related to character education.

Membangun Karakter Bangsa Melalui Pendidikan Pancasila Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya

Pancasila education in Indonesia is claimed to be the main foundation for the formation of national character. This education aims to teach basic values which include diversity, justice, unity, democracy and humanity, which are the foundation for the characteristics and morality of the Indonesian nation.This article reviews the importance of Pancasila education in forming national character values. Students are taught to respect differences of opinion, respect human rights, and practice democratic principles in everyday life. This all aims to create citizens who are fair, just and have a democratic culture. Apart from that, Pancasila education also develops a sense of love for the country and humanism. Through this education, students are taught to appreciate Indonesia's cultural and natural riches, and have the enlightenment to contribute to preserving the environment and overcoming social problems among the people.This, Pancasila education is not only about theoretical knowledge, but also about the practice of values in everyday life.

PROTOTIPE KURIKULUM MERDEKA BELAJAR MELALUI MEDIA HOTS (HIGHER ORDER THINKING SKILLS) DI MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH SYEKH MANSHUR PANDEGLANG

This research is motivated by the existence of learning with methods that are still on, which ensures that learning does not provide choices and opportunities for students to think critically. The purpose of this study is to provide students with choices with critical thinking in order to create learning in accordance with the vision and curriculum of the madrasa. The research method is more of a data collection technique through in-depth observation, and then analyzed with data collection techniques, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study can be seen from the vision, mission and character values ​​developed in madrasas through values ​​and characters that are very relevant to the independent learning curriculum which of course greatly determines the situation of the madrasa civitas starting from the head, educators, education staff, and students who have worked to work together to make superior and quality madrasas.

Tri Hita Karana Based Yoga Model Instrument for Independent Student Exchange Students

Implementing the Tri Hita Karana concept in character and spiritual values education in higher education significantly impacts students' holistic well-being. However, developing assessment instruments for implementing this concept is still lacking. This research aims to develop a Tri Hita Karana-based yoga model instrument for Merdeka exchange students. This type of research is development research using the ADDIE method. The subjects of this research were 2 learning content experts, 2 language experts, and 2 learning design experts. The trial subjects were 30 independent exchange students (3 in individual trials and 27 in small group trials). Data collection methods used include observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The instrument used in this research was a questionnaire sheet. The techniques used to analyze data are qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative and inferential statistics. The research results, namely the assessments given by learning content experts, obtained an average score of 94.5%, resulting in very good qualifications. The assessment results given by language experts were 93% (very good qualifications). The assessment results given by learning design experts were 96.5% (very good qualifications). The results of the practicality test given by the lecturer received an average score of 96% (very practical). The results of the individual trial assessment were 92% and small group trials 95%, so getting a very practical qualification. The t-test results show a difference in the average value of holistic well-being among students after using the Tri Hita Karana Based Yoga Model Instrument. It was concluded that the Tri Hita Karana Based Yoga Model Instrument is feasible and effective to use to improve the holistic well-being of independent exchange students.

Evaluasi Program Pendidikan Karakter di Kelompok Bermain dan Taman Kanak-Kanak Candle Tree dengan Metode Context, Input, Process, dan Product (CIPP) [Evaluation of the Character Education Program in Candle Tree Playgroups and Kindergartens using the Context, Input, Process and Product (CIPP) Method

<div><p class="1eAbstract-text">It is crucial to instil character values from an early age, to have morally noble future generation, one is through character education program. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the character education program carried out by Candle Tree Kindergarten since 2018/2019, to improve, enhance and perfection. This evaluation adopts CIPP method, which is an acronym for Context, Input, Process, and Product. Qualitative and descriptive quantitative are employed to mutually promote evaluation results, questionnaire, interviews, observation, and documentation data collection methods were used. To interpret various standpoints of interest, different sources were taken, at the same time triangulation of sources were applied. The result on this study showed the evaluation of a) Context, it has potential and capability to implement the program, but the program objectives were integrated in school’s vision and mission; b) Input, in need of attention for program curriculum, budgeting, and variety of methods; c) Process, in need of improvement for virtual interaction, medium of instruction, assessment guides, frequency, and program documentation; d) Product, program results are in accordance with the characters instilled and it triggers other values. Therefore, it can be concluded that this evaluation can be useful for the management of KB-TK Candle Tree to develop character education programs.<em></em></p></div>

Implementation of Javanese Cultural Values Through the Pancasila Student Profile in Merdeka Curriculum

This study investigates the incorporation of the Pancasila learner profile in the Mardika Basa lan Sastra Jawa textbook for grade VII SMP/MTs and its alignment with Javanese cultural character values. The Pancasila learner profile aims to cultivate students' values and character based on Indonesia's foundational philosophy. Understanding how textbooks reflect these values, particularly within the context of Javanese culture, is important for character education. A descriptive qualitative approach was used to analyze the textbook. Data were collected through data cards, questionnaires, and interviews with teachers. The analysis followed the Miles and Huberman technique, and data validity was ensured through triangulation. The findings indicate that the Mardika Basa lan Sastra Jawa textbook for grade VII, following the Merdeka Curriculum, integrates the Pancasila learner profile in each chapter. This is reflected in the value content, lesson preparation, and learning activities. The Javanese cultural character values corresponding to the Pancasila student profile include andhap asor (humility), babar binuka (openness), tepa salira (tolerance), laku hambeging kartika (noble conduct), wicaksana (wisdom), and niteni, nirokke, nambahi (observe, imitate, add). The study highlights that Javanese cultural values align well with the Pancasila learner profile, contributing positively to character development. These values not only strengthen the national identity but also foster ethical and responsible behavior among students. This research provides valuable insight into how Javanese cultural values can reinforce the Pancasila learner profile in education, supporting national character-building efforts.
