Analysis of Mathematical Communication Ability and Self Confidence in the Numbered Head Together Learning Model with a Contextual Approach to Class VIII Opportunity Materials

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Number Head Together (NHT) learning model with a Contextual approach to describe the mathematical communication skills of class VIII students based on Self Confidence. The method used in this study is a mixed method. Data was collected through tests, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that (1) the NHT learning model was more effective on mathematical communication skills which could be seen from the results of the experimental class mathematical communication ability test which was greater than the control class, (2) The pattern of mathematical communication skills in terms of Self Confidence varied. Of the 31 students there are students who fall into the less positive, positive and very positive categories. Therefore, this research can be an alternative in learning mathematics, especially the use of contextual approaches and mathematical communication skills that can be applied in learning with the NHT and Self Confidence models of students. Penerapan Pendekatan Kontekstual untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematik Siswa SMP Bina Harapan Bangsa

The purpose of the study is to determine the effect of contextual approaches to the mathematical communication skills of junior high school students. The method in this research is quasi-experimental. The study was conducted at Bina Harapan Bangsa Middle School. With class VIII B stated experimental class which amounted to 30 students and class VIII C stated control class which amounted to 30 students. This research is supported by instruments that have been tested, valid and reliable. The instrument was adjusted to four indicators of mathematical communication ability with 5 items in order to get the experimental class and the control class posttest data. Data testing was performed with data processed using the SPSS 22 application for parametric statistical testing. The results of the study concluded that students' mathematical communication skills in the teaching and learning process with the use of contextual approaches were better than students with ordinary learning.

The Effect of Based E-learning Contextual Approach on Student Learning Motivation

One of the fundamental problems for students is the low motivation to learn. The reason is the learning approach used by lecturers in the classroom is less attractive. Therefore this study about the use of contextual approaches based on e-learning to help student motivation. This type of research is quantitative research, with descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics to describe motivation data for learning simple harmonic wave material Students of Physics Education Study Program at University of Flores use a contextual approach based on e-learning. Data collection techniques used in this study were non-test techniques. From the results of descriptive analysis shows that the average student learning motivation is 78.90 in the sufficient category. While the results of inferential statistics show the t value of 5.453, sig (2-tailed) 0.000. Because the sig (2-tailed) value of 0,000 is smaller than 0.05, this shows that the contextual approach based on e-learning (Zoom Cloud Meeting) influences student learning motivation

Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Matematis Siswa SMPN 1 Cikancung Melalui Pendekatan Kontekstual

This research was conducted at Cikancung 01 Middle School on class VIII triangle material. This research uses the Quasi-Experiment method with the researcher accepting what is the sample with a random class. The research aims to determine the differences in students' mathematical creative thinking abilities between classes that use contextual learning and classes that use normal approaches. This study was applied to 25 students in both the experimental and control classes as a sample with the duration of the study consisting of 6 meetings. Based on the posttest data analysis shows that there are significant differences in mathematical creative thinking abilities where students' mathematical creative thinking abilities with the use of contextual approaches are better than classes with ordinary approaches to learning. This is because the use of contextual approaches provides meaningful learning by seeing, searching, and exploring objects in real life into mathematics learning.

Efektivitas Pendekatan Kontekstual dalam Pembelajaran Menulis Teks Negosiasi

This article discusses the effectiveness of a contextual approach to learning writing negotiating texts. The research was conducted to find out the influence and the result of learning to write negotiation text with contextual approach. The research method used is quasi experiment with One group Pretest-Posttest Design. The selected population is class X SMK Negeri 1 Bojongpicung with a sample of students of class X ATPH 1 amounted to 28 people. Data were collected using test, questionnaire, and observation techniques with test sheet, questionnaire, and observation. The results of the observation sheet indicate the active learners learn when using a contextual approach. From the test results, it is known that the average value of the initial test is 66.89 while the mean score of the final test is 87.64. After comparing the mean of the two test results, calculations were performed using the t-Test. The calculation result with t-test shows the tcount price is bigger than ttable price. The tcount price is 17.00, while the ttable price at db 27 for the 0.05 level of trust is 2.05. Thus the proposed hypothesis can be accepted, ie the existence of a significant influence in the use of contextual approaches to the results of learning to write negotiation text. This shows the learning of writing negotiated text by applying a better contextual approach than without applying a contextual approach. Keywords: effectiveness, contextual, negotiation.

Substantiation of efficiency of the contextual approach to teaching at the HEI of the mining profile

Abstract. Article deals with the question of the use of contextual approach at the teaching of SLA (Safety of the life activity) subjects and civic defense at the HEI of the mining profile that gives the possibility to support the student’s interest to the subject and to form his professional motivation. At the teaching of subjects are given the examples and explanations taking into account the subject and social content of the future professional activity. The principles of teaching of SLA, “Labor protection” and “Civil defense” on the contextual base presuppose the using at lessons the real situations that took place at enterprises of Kryvbass. Students also get the problem-search tasks such as schemes, figures, terms or formulas that need the individual answer. It gives a possibility to master the material faster and more productively in presence of the teacher. The experience of the use of this kind of teaching demonstrates that it has a great value at the professional preparation of the further specialists and stimulates the initiative at learning the subject
