The purpose of this study was to analyze the residential environment improvement projects and the residents fear of crime. More specifically, we examine how its theoretical implication are borne out empirically in redevelopment areas. In this study verify how effect the fear of crime in local level. In particular, main focus on this study was to distinction redevelopment district as designation, progress, and completion stage due to each stages different phenomena occurred. As a result, the research that causes and effects vary at different stage on urban redevelopment process. These key findings of this research that district designation stages are negatively related to the fear of crime. Yet, in the completion stage of redevelopment sites are positive effect on the fear of crime as theory would suggest.
