Abstract: In this paper we've proposed face recognition door cinch system using jeer pi for security purpose. Perpetration of the system is for covering whether any unknown person is entering in to the door. In order to get accurate and clear picture of an meddler we've proposed Haar Cascade system for face discovery. As soon as the person enters near the door, pi camera captures the image and face discovery process is done also if it matches with database images also the door is uncorked else a communication with the picture of a person will be transferred to the registered mobile through LAN network. The main aphorism of this design is to application of detector with the combination of bedded outfit for the door opening systems. The main purpose of this system is to give better security by using face recognition fashion

Shared Death Experiences: A Multicultural Survey.

Shared-death-experiences (SDEs) and after-death-communication-experiences (ADCEs) are non-ordinary mental experiences related to the death of a known or unknown person. These experiences were investigated by surveying four samples with different cultural backgrounds: Italian, Mexican, Brazilian and Taiwanese people. One-hundred-twenty-one participants reported 146 experiences of this type. Among the main characteristics of these experiences, visual, visual-auditory and feeling experiences, which comprised 74% of all experiences, were experienced both in the dream state and a normal state of consciousness. Furthermore, most of these experiences were lived before (47.3%) or after (39%) the death of the person in relationship with the participants. More importantly, these experiences influenced the participants' death interpretation favoring the belief that death affects only the body, but the consciousness of the deceased persons survives in another reality and sometimes can communicate with relatives and friends still alive in this reality. No substantial differences were observed among the different subsamples. As to the origin of SDEs/ADCEs, we discuss that whereas for most of them, in particular those lived after the death of a relative or a friend, we can assume hallucinatory characteristics triggered by emotional needs, for others, for example those related to unknown individuals and/or those experienced before the death of the person still in good health, it is not possible to exclude their anomalous connections and a real encounter with a deceased person.

How do we process feedback? The role of self-esteem in processing self-related and other-related information

This study was designed to investigate the effect of the level and stability of self-esteem on self-referent vs. other-referent feedback recall and to determine which of the opposed self-concept motives, self-enhancement or self-verification, will prevail in adolescents with certain type of self- esteem. In a between-subjects experimental design, 450 high school graduates and freshmen were randomly assigned to a self-referent task (n = 230) or other-referent task (n = 220) and their self-esteem was measured by repeated administration of the RSE scale. After personality and cognitive ability test, participants in a self-referent task were presented with a bogus feedback which consisted of statements that described a specific positive or negative behavior that one is likely to do. Participants in the other-referent received the same information, but relating to an unknown person. Memory was tested on a surprise free recall task. Findings confirm preferential processing of self-related information, i.e. self-reference effect, regardless of valence and content-related domain of feedback. Participants in self-referent condition also showed better recall of positive than negative personally relevant feedback, regardless of their self-esteem stability or self-esteem level. However, interaction of self-esteem level and self-esteem stability was significant, but its effect was relatively small.

It protects them from bad eyes and stays them away from sins. There are many terms used for veiling like Hijab, Jilbab that are identical to the meaning of veil.Hijab is a test for the Muslim woman. It is clear from the Quran and the Hadiths that hijab is a religious obligation, which a woman has to undertake. There is no scholarly difference on this point and the Muslim Ummah has applied it for over 14 centuries. When a Muslim woman wears hijab, she is obeying and submitting to Allah. A woman who wears hijab liberates herself from the vain and selfish desire to show off her beauty and to compete with other women around her. In the Quran, the term hijab refers to a partition or curtain in the literal or metaphorical sense. The verse where it is used literally is commonly understood to refer to the curtain separating visitors to Muhammads(ï·º) house from his wives lodgings. This leads Muslim women that hijab is mandatory and to wear hijab is applied to every Muslim woman as many quranic verses denote on it. Muslim woman should cover her all body with curtain when she goes outside of the house as well as cover her face from unknown person whereas it is allowed to her to show her face, hands and legs to her relatives.In this article, the researcher conducted the research in the term of Islamic teachings of veiling and hijab for Muslim women in the light of Surah Ahzab and analyzed six verses of the concerned surah that described veiling. The researcher explained everything with some hadiths and some books and references. This article especially helps those women who are totally confused about face and body hijab as well as those who dont accept hijab as the sharia verdict of Allah and His prophet ï·º. This also helps those students who are newly doing research on hijab and veil. In fact, this article is very informative at all.

Comparison of three analytical approaches to assess temperament dimensions in nonhuman animals

A critical aspect in the research about behavioral individual differences is the researchers’ decision of which statistical methods to use to reduce the dimensionality of observed behavioral data. Our aim was to compare the main behavioral dimensions obtained from three different data reduction techniques: the Feaver’s Method, Factor Analysis, and Principal Component Analysis. Three behavioral tests were carried out with 13 individuals of Amazona vinacea and 12 of Psittacara leucophthalmus species: reaction to an unknown person test, the reaction to potential predator test and the novel object test. We extracted the main behavioral dimensions using the three methods. Then we applied the Pearson’s correlation to test the relationships between the main dimensions found. The first Principal Component, the Factor 1, and the dimension 1 of Feaver’s Method were composed of behavioral variables reflecting ‘vigilance’. Variables in second Principal Component, Factor 2 and dimension 2 of Feaver’s Method reflected ‘fearfulness’. A strong correlation was found between the first Principal Component and dimension 1 of Feaver’s Method (r = 0.90), but not with Factor 1 (P > 0.05). Moderate correlations were found between second dimension with three methods. We conclude that PCA and Feaver’s Method generate similar results for the first principal dimension, but not for the second dimension, and Feaver’s Method seems to be a better predictor of this aspect of parrots’ behavioral individual differences for small samples sizes.

As soon as the person enters near the door, pi camera captures the image of that person and face detection process is done then if it matches with images available in database then the door is unlocked otherwise a message with the picture of a person will be sent to the registered mobile through LAN network. The main motto of this project is to utilization of sensor with the combination of embedded equipment for the door opening systems. The main purpose of this system is to provide best security for home and office by using face recognition technique.

The case of determining the species, gender, age and race of the skull with congenital multiple developmental anomalies

In forensic medicine, a reconstructive victim profile is a widely used procedure for providing individual data in cases of complex identification of a person. The most valuable data such as gender, age, origin and height are obtained from skeletal and dental analyses. Deformed skulls require special expert attention during the forensic examination of bone remains. Unusual skull shapes are usually formed with certain diseases (hydrocephalus, craniostenosis, rickets), various kinds of injuries or as a result of artificial (intentional) changes in the shape of the head. The detection of cranial deformity has a great forensic importance in identifying a person, allowing you to further outline the range of diseases that an unknown person could have suffered during his lifetime. The article describes a rare forensic case of identification of a human skull with congenital multiple developmental anomalies. During the forensic medical and forensic examination, the deceased had a history of signs of a rare disease characterized by the formation of a specific deformation of the skull. A comprehensive assessment of the data is very important when conducting forensic medical studies aimed at helping investigative authorities to identify human remains.

Safe and Sound: The Effects of Experimentally Priming the Sense of Attachment Security on Pure-Tone Audiometric Thresholds Among Young and Older Adults

Attachment security has consistently been found to correlate with relaxed exploration, openness, and mindful attention to incoming information. The present studies explored whether contextually infusing a sense of attachment security (security priming) can improve hearing in young and older adults. In Study 1, participants (29 young, 30 older) performed a standardized pure-tone audiometric-thresholds test twice. In the security-priming condition, a picture of a participant’s security-enhancing figure was presented throughout the task. In the control condition, a picture of an unknown person (matched in sex, age, and facial expression) was used as a neutral prime. Study 2 (14 young, 14 older) was almost identical, except that it was preregistered and the neutral prime was a circle. In both studies, participants performed better (had lower hearing thresholds) in the security-priming condition. The current study is the first to show that attachment security improves sensory perception, and these results have meaningful implications for theory and clinical hearing tests.

Daily behavioral activities of the proboscis monkey (Nasalis larvatus Wurmb) in the Bekantan Rescue Center, Sahabat Bekantan Indonesia foundation

The proboscis monkey or long-nosed monkey is diurnal and arboreal. This species is endemic to Borneo Island inhabit mangrove forest and swampland. Daily behavioral activities of the proboscis monkey kept in the Bekantan Rescue Center, Sahabat Bekantan Indonesia Foundation was interesting to be observed. A couple of adult proboscis monkey, which was approximately 10 years old for each individu, was utilized in the current study. Observation on daily behavioral activities included locomotion, eating, antagonistic, playing, grooming, and rest-activity. Proboscis monkey spent their daily time for resting, locomotion, grooming, eating, antagonistic, and playing with each percentage were 42.50%; 26.04%; 17.15%; 9.29%; 0.86%; and 0.13%, consecutively. Locomotion activities consisted of walk, jump, moving seat, swing, and cage-shaking. Grooming by removing pieces of dirt, dried skin, and insects from the hair were done individually and more frequently in female than male. Eating activities were 3 times a day, morning, noon, and afternoon with the duration of 5-15 minutes. An antagonistic expression such as opening wide-mouth, vocalization, and cage-shaking was frequently observed in the male shown when the unknown person was present. Playing activity was the lowest percentage activity observed. This activity is less frequently observed in the adult period. Rest activity consisted of night sleep and day sleep. Night sleep was observed from 09.00 P.M to 6.00 A.M, and day sleep was observed after eating time in the morning and noon. Daily behavioral activities of the proboscis monkey in the Bekantan Rescue Center tend to be done routinely and regularly.

SMART SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM WITH FACE RECOGNITION USING OPEN-SOURCE COMPUTER VISION

The current project is primarily concerned with ensuring a secure environment and also free from the hold-ups that occur in your surroundings. This automated surveillance system detects intruders using various devices with software. The major software employed in the current work is Open CV (open-source computer vision). The primary method utilized in the present work is if any person appears in front of the pi camera. It will switch on by observing for probable matches that have previously been stored in our database. If the module finds a match, then it continues to record until an intruder comes. If the face is not recognized then the unknown person’s face will be captured and a snapshot will be sent to the user’s email. The device is developed using Raspberry Pi with a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, a raspberry pi camera with 12MP high-resolution, and a Wireless dongle to communicate with users’ email. For motion detection, most existing systems employ a Passive Infrared (PIR) motion sensor. Despite its inexpensive cost, such a system has some demerits. For example, as a result of an exceptional situation, such as rapid heating induced by sun exposure, false alarms may be triggered. To increase the efficiency of motion detection, a smart surveillance system is constructed using Open CV on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. According to the findings, the built smart surveillance security system using Open CV has a detection rate of 96%, whereas the PIR motion sensorbased security system has a detection rate of 76%.

Gaslighting in alleged assault ascertained as Munchausen syndrome transcending to malingering in highly counterintuitive self inflicted acid burns.

A factitious disorder leading to the self-infliction of highly counter-intuitive burns was diagnosed in a middle-aged female. The injuries were otherwise alleged to have been sustained by assault inflicted upon her by an unknown person. The case was diagnosed by medico-legal interpretation of injuries, in spite of a highly deceptive and concocted history by the patient and her husband. The entity was unique in being associated with magnificent primary, secondary and tertiary gains. The exploitation of the morbid sequel to malinger by the patient, and the involvement of the husband for the prolongation of the illness of his wife for financial gains as gaslighting was highly unusual. The self-infliction of injuries over hands is seen in factitious disorder. However, a combination of a guarded self-immersion of the hands and feet in a corrosive by an illiterate female, followed by malingering to earn livelihood is unprecedented in factitious disorders. The delayed presentation which required amputation of all the limbs to save the life of the patient is a glaring highlight of this case.

Detecting User Behavior in Cyber Threat Intelligence: Development of Honeypsy System

This research demonstrates a design of an experiment of a hacker infiltrating a server where it is assumed that the communication between the hacker and the target server is established, and the hacker also escalated his rights on the server. Therefore, the honeypot server setup has been designed to reveal the correlation of a hacker’s actions with that of the hacker’s experience, personality, expertise, and psychology. To the best of our knowledge, such a design of experiment has never been tested rigorously on a honeypot implementation except for self-reporting tests applied to hackers in the literature. However, no study evaluates the actual data of these hackers and these tests. This study also provides a honeypot design to understand the personality and expertise of the hacker and displays the correlation of these data with the tests. Our Honeypsy system is composed of a Big-5 personality test, a cyber expertise test, and a capture-the-flag (CTF) event to collect logs with honeypot applied in this sequence. These three steps generate data on the expertise and psychology of known cyber hackers. The logs of the known hacker activities on honeypots are obtained through the CTF event that they have participated in. The design and deployment of a honeypot, as well as the CTF event, were specifically prepared for this research. Our aim is to predict an unknown hacker's expertise and personality by analyzing these data. By examining/analyzing the data of the known hackers, it is now possible to make predictions about the expertise and personality of the unknown hackers. The same logic applies when one tries to predict the next move of the unknown hackers attacking the server. We have aimed to underline the details of the personalities and expertise of hackers and thus help the defense experts of victimized institutions to develop their cyber defense strategies in accordance with the modus operandi of the hackers.

The category “public danger of a criminal” is considered. Based on the analysis of diverse views on this category and law enforcement practice, criminological and criminal law criteria for the public danger of a drug criminal with drug addiction are presented. Particular attention is paid to the psychobiological criteria of the social danger of a criminal addicted to narcotic drugs. The study of the category “public danger of a criminal” was the basis for determining the author's idea of the essence of the public danger of a drug criminal caused by their drug addiction. The article provides data from official statistics on the situation with drugs in the Russian Federation. The importance of analyzing the public danger of a criminal is noted: the correct interpretation of this category provides for the effectiveness of criminal law norms, the development of special preventive measures, and the shaping of modern criminal law views. Based on the materials of criminal cases, the characteristics of persons committing crimes related to narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances trafficking were analyzed. The general criminological and criminal law characteristics of drug criminals include: they are 14 to 35 years old; they are largely single men with no permanent source of income; the main motive for primary drug use is curiosity, which is satisfied in their acquaintances' apartments or in drug squats, and the source of the acquisition of drugs is unknown persons; the recidivism rate is high. Particular attention is paid to the psychobiological characteristics of the public danger of a criminal: current research proves the existence of a relationship between drug addiction and criminal behavior. The author notes that the content of the public danger of a person who commits a crime in the field of illegal drug trafficking and has drug addiction is expressed in the class of the danger of drugs and psychotropic substances a person uses and the danger of committed crimes. There are three classes of the danger of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances; the basis for differentiation is the severity of the prohibition for their circulation and the degree of their harmful effects on public health. The hazard class of narcotic drugs corresponds to the Lists approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 681 of 30 June 1998. Crimes in the sphere of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances illicit trafficking are differentiated into three groups: increased, average, and basic public danger; the ranking criterion is various factors, including the focus on sales, the presence of a special subject. The author points out that the use of the described model of a drug criminal's public danger caused by drug addiction will positively affect the development of specific preventive measures and the implementation of the principle of punishment individualization.

STUDENTS’ PREDISPOSITION TO BEING A VICTIM OF INTERNET CRIME IN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS OF NIGERIA

The intensive and pervasive use of the use of the internet among the youth is an incontrovertible fact. Electronic or cybercrime among the youth has figuratively become endemic beating most security preventive networks and putting online users at the risk of becoming unsuspecting victims. This paper examines students’ Students’ Predisposition to Being a Victim of Internet Crime in Tertiary Institutions of Nigeria. The study employs quantitative research methods, 150 students were selected using multistage sampling procedure. Data were gathered on User’s purpose of using Internet and predisposition to internet Victimization; and Student Socio-economic status and Victimization Experience. Data were analyzed using frequency counts, percentage and correlation analysis. information from the respondents revealed that, students who engaged in online banking had been victimized at least in which their accounts was debited by unknown person without their knowledge/ consent and also, those who engaged in chatting and performing e-business transaction with high social economic status are more susceptible to e-victimization experience, more so, users’ motives of surfing internet are directly related to their vulnerability to victimization experience. Finally, from the study, it was observed that there is positive relationship between individual socio-economic status and their victimization experienced. The study concludes that students who engaged in online banking transaction, both via app, point of sales POS or e-transfer is exposed to fraudsters and more vulnerable to internet fraud experiences therefore recommended that student should try as much as possible not to display wealth or any of their socio-economic information on social media.

The present study examines the estimation of the stature of a person by using his hand length. It is not always an easy task because the growth & development of an individual may be affected by various factors such as age, sex, race, nutrition & geographical areas, etc. So, we need to have a population-specific regression formula for the Tamil population.

Nowadays, anxiety is a growing phenomenon because people come across more and more stressful situations. Therefore, among its different forms of manifestation, there is social anxiety. This type of anxiety generally starts in adolescence, when personality is still shaping up and when teenagers are more and more interested in getting confirmation from others. When he is analyzed by others, a teenager fears failure and being ashamed when things are not the way they should, he fears being judged by others for possible small mistakes and, thus, anxiety appears. In other words, persons with low self-confidence and lacking confidence in their abilities have low self-esteem and can easily develop a form of anxiety. As we have already mentioned, social anxiety is caused by the fear of being criticized by others, by the fear of being improperly evaluated, by the feeling of being ashamed, of being in the presence of unknown persons, etc. All these social contexts are backgrounds for individuals’ unexplainable restlessness that can lead to physical symptoms such as excessive perspiration, trembling, palpitations, blushing etc. Self-esteem is very important here as it is very important how the subject sees himself or herself in the social situation. Thus, if a person feels unable to deal with situations considered difficult and if there is lack of confidence in her/his own abilities, meaning he/she has low self-esteem, it is highly possible that this behaviour lead to the debut of social anxiety. Therapy sessions help reduce and even eliminate this disturbance. There are certain techniques consisting of facing the problems up to the moment where the subject begins feeling comfortable with normal life aspects which used to be considered anxiety episodes.

Social buffering of human fear is shaped by gender, social concern, and the presence of real vs virtual agents

The presence of a partner can attenuate physiological fear responses, a phenomenon known as social buffering. However, not all individuals are equally sociable. Here we investigated whether social buffering of fear is shaped by sensitivity to social anxiety (social concern) and whether these effects are different in females and males. We collected skin conductance responses (SCRs) and affect ratings of female and male participants when they experienced aversive and neutral sounds alone (alone treatment) or in the presence of an unknown person of the same gender (social treatment). Individual differences in social concern were assessed based on a well-established questionnaire. Our results showed that social concern had a stronger effect on social buffering in females than in males. The lower females scored on social concern, the stronger the SCRs reduction in the social compared to the alone treatment. The effect of social concern on social buffering of fear in females disappeared if participants were paired with a virtual agent instead of a real person. Together, these results showed that social buffering of human fear is shaped by gender and social concern. In females, the presence of virtual agents can buffer fear, irrespective of individual differences in social concern. These findings specify factors that shape the social modulation of human fear, and thus might be relevant for the treatment of anxiety disorders.

Effects of Self-Esteem on Self-Viewing: An Eye-Tracking Investigation on Mirror Gazing.

While some people enjoy looking at their faces in the mirror, others experience emotional distress. Despite these individual differences concerning self-viewing in the mirror, systematic investigations on this topic have not been conducted so far. The present eye-tracking study examined whether personality traits (self-esteem, narcissism propensity, self-disgust) are associated with gaze behavior (gaze duration, fixation count) during free mirror viewing of one’s face. Sixty-eight adults (mean age = 23.5 years; 39 females, 29 males) viewed their faces in the mirror and watched a video of an unknown person matched for gender and age (control condition) for 90 s each. The computed regression analysis showed that higher self-esteem was associated with a shorter gaze duration for both self-face and other-face. This effect may reflect a less critical evaluation of the faces.
