Women's entrepreneurship: a global perspective

Methods. The methodological basis of the study was the following methods of scientific research: analysis and synthesis – when identifying the latest trends in the development of modern entrepreneurship; comparative analysis – when clarifying the specifics of the development of entrepreneurship implemented by women in the countries of Europe and Asia; scientific generalization – when formulating recommendations for the formation of an effective policy of supporting women's entrepreneurship. Results. The article presents a study highlighting the current situation in the field of women's entrepreneurship. Based on the analysis of modern trends in business development, it was established that economic subjects of the female gender most actively implement the function of entrepreneurship – they are more likely than men to open their own businesses and hold management positions at enterprises. It has been determined that in recent years, women's entrepreneurship has become the most important driving force of economic growth and innovation around the world. Despite numerous difficulties, female entrepreneurs have demonstrated resilience, creativity and a unique approach to business, which not only contributes to economic development, but also initiates social changes in society. Novelty. The essence of the phenomenon of female entrepreneurship is defined and its characteristic features are highlighted. The specificity of the functioning of women's entrepreneurship in European countries and Asia has been revealed. Problems faced by female business founders are highlighted. An assessment of the effectiveness of the existing support systems for women's entrepreneurship is provided and recommendations for its development are offered. Practical value. Through a comprehensive analysis, we present results that demonstrate the need to create an enabling environment for women-led businesses, which ultimately contributes to sustainable economic development. Our findings highlight the urgent need for ongoing research and practical initiatives that further integrate women's perspectives into entrepreneurship, paving the way for future research in this important area.

Cross-Fertilisation Between EU Green Policies and Instruments Applied by Public Management: Dilemmas and Opportunities

This article aims to contribute to discussions held by the academic community that has extensively researched the EU’s green transition. The author underlines that a transdisciplinary approach involving legal, economic, and political tools provide a comprehensive cross-fertilisation methodology. The article observes implications related to EU green policies and public management instruments from two perspectives: the broadening of green transition to socio economic dimensions; and the role of government intervention in economic and green business development to illustrate examples of relevant practices in the EU. The author argues that such a methodological approach can help one to assess the actions and measures related to the green economic and business development trends that require societal support as well as the improvement of economic efficiency at the EU and national level. This contribution offers insights into the concept of green economic transitions and innovation as well as the impact of public services focused on societal change. The article concludes that a decision-making process that is based on a cross-fertilisation approach allows the implementation of green policies in national economies in the most effective manner and, in turn, provides welfare effects due to the enhancement of public administration services in their coordinated actions with entrepreneurial activities and business investments. On a wider regional scale, government/private business green partnership represents a tool that inevitably helps increase the environmental and green competitiveness of the EU and its Member States.

The from how correctly the system of innovative management of the development of the hotel and restaurant industry is being implemented at the current stage, it should be perceived by managers as an effective way of responding to market challenges, taking into account innovative processes and the latest trends in business development. The modern interpretation of innovation is complex and involves management actions, business motives, business activity and the ability to innovate. In accordance with international norms, it was determined that “innovation” is defined as the final result of innovative activity, which was embodied in the form of a new or improved product introduced on the market, a new or improved technological process used in practical activities, or in a new approach to “social services”. It is important to note that the introduction of various innovations prompts the management of the company to make logical and necessary changes in the structure of the organization, as well as changes in the methods of organization and management of the company. Conducting innovative activities is one of the key responsibilities of enterprise managers. Managers should take environmental factors into account, as the innovation market in Ukraine is dynamic and stable. Many external factors can interfere with the innovative activity of the enterprise. The use of innovative marketing in the hotel service depends on its orientation and the nature of the concept on which the innovation is based. Innovations that are most often found in the practice of the hotel business include: sensory marketing, aroma marketing, branding, loyalty programs, the use of multimedia technologies, promotion in social networks, electronic distribution, mobile device of the guest A modern hotel enterprise must learn to skillfully regulate its activities with the help of innovative marketing, which will allow it to significantly reduce the risks associated with the introduction of innovations, leaving the opportunity to maneuver resources in conditions of economic crisis and increased competition in the markets.

Improving Entrepreneurial Competence Through Talent

The research aims to determine the differences in the entrepreneurial mentality of talented or untalented students in conducting entrepreneurial incubation activities. The research uses a sample of students who have entrepreneurial talent and students who do not have entrepreneurial talent as participants in entrepreneurial incubation. Participants obtain guidance, mentoring, strengthening potential and facilitation in accordance with their respective talents. Talent mapping and mentoring are conducted through incubation treatment of students as an experimental group who have talent and students as a control group who do not have entrepreneurial talent. Both groups are equally treated with entrepreneurial mentoring. Data collection through interviews, questionnaires, documentation, literature studies, observations and research analysis with quasi-experimental trials of experimental groups (KE) and control groups (KK) with pretest-posttest control group design. The final result of the data through the trend of business development carried out by entrepreneurial participants. The development of the entrepreneurial mentality of students who have talent is higher than entrepreneurs who do not have entrepreneurial talent, based on valid model testing, goodness of fit is able to improve the entrepreneurial mentality of talent-based students.

In world practice, it is important to develop targeted strategies aimed at further improving the business environment, implementing active business projects to en sure sustainable economic development, pursuing economic policies that have a positive effect on business development, conducting research aimed at using blockchain technology as well as ensuring interest in business development by state and society. The issues of doing business after the global crisis caused by the pandemic, statistical observation, and forecasting issues, statistical assessment of the impact of the pandemic on business entities, and improving methods of statistical analysis of business development processes during and after the pandemic became important as never before. As a result of the conducted research, the authors have reached assessing quantitative and qualitative indicators of factors affecting business development processes has been developed, and software has been created that makes the accurate analyzes on the basis of blockchain of the data, a comprehensive analytical approach was developed based on statistical indicators characterizing business development trends in the country, in the SNA sectors, in the context of key industries and regions, multifactor empirical models were developed and forecast options for 2021-2026 were proposed using the scenario method. The theoretical approaches and the initial data used are taken from offcial sources, based on the data of business entities operating in Uzbekistan, proposals, and recommendations implemented in practice, statistical data of the State Committee on Statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as primary data obtained during the study. The proposed blockchain stages in the busine process accurately evaluate the results that meet the requirements of digital economy.

Current turbulent state of the economy, on the one hand, and the formed tendencies, on the other hand, predetermined business development trends relevant for the analytics. Trends in mergers and acquisitions have emerged in the trade sector through integration processes in Europe and Russia. Trade networks, as a cooperative organization, ensure that the parent company takes on the main cooperative joint tasks, such as procurement, branding, goods supply, and network management. Subsidiaries help to supply cooperatives and shops, ensuring growth through efficient and attractive shops.

Strategic importance of corporate accounting policies

The paper describes issues of improving the accounting policy as a fundamental methodological tool for organizing and implementing the accounting process and the reporting of an economic entity formed on its basis, which is the primary source of information about its financial activities. Reporting and accounting policies should be in a stage of constant development and evolution in order to meet adequate business development trends and the needs of stakeholders. In an environment where corporations are the basic form of business organization, corporate reporting, showing the process of creating value over time, results from the development of the existing merged reporting model, and corporate accounting policy is a corporate governance tool. At the same time, levelbased risk-based approach to its implementation can be considered as a tool for implementing a corporate strategy. The purpose of the research is to identify trends in improving corporate accounting policies, and the task is to update its strategic significance. In the course of the work, the author substantiates the expansion of the boundaries and functions of accounting policy in the corporate space as endowing it with the functions of a corporate governance instrument and the implementation of corporate strategy. The results of the study can be used for the purposes of corporate governance and optimization of the coordinated activities of participants in corporate relations. This caused to the process of implementing a single strategy by revealing the management functions of accounting systems and updating their predictive risk-based value.

Guidelines for Home Design in the New Normal Era in Thailand

This research aims to study home design guidelines in this new era in Thailand. The data were collected by conducting a semi-structured interview with three groups of key informants, including five participants – academics and real estate experts, five participants – residential project developers listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), and home builders, the members of the Association of Home Builders of Thailand, and five participants – architects of a design company using design thinking, which is a creative human-centered problem-solving approach to better meet the needs of residents. Moreover, they are housing designers and developers in Thailand. The data were analyzed using content analysis. The research results revealed that the home design principle consistent with Thai residents’ new normal era behavior is a house with feel-good qualities, including flexibility, good hygiene, security, privacy, environmental friendliness, and convenience. In the new-normal era, homes should have private spaces to work or study from home, multi-purpose areas, an enlarged kitchen and increased functionality, a designated parcel receiving area, and/or a storage area. The building assembly system installation that enhances good health and comfort in living is also recommended. These valuable, novelty results might also lead to Thailand's real estate business development trends. Not only for housing residential designers and developers but also for other related business suppliers associated with new product development for home innovative inventions and technologies in the future.

ДІАГНОСТИКА ТА ПРОГНОЗУВАННЯ ФІНАНСОВОЕКОНОМІЧНОГО СТАНУ ПІДПРИЄМСТВА

In today's difficult economic conditions, there is an increase in bankrupt enterprises. Given the manifestation of unfavorable trends in business development, forecasting a crisis and bankruptcy is of paramount importance for enterprises. Ensuring the effective functioning of companies is one of the topical problems of the full stage of economic development, in order to effectively continue its activities, the enterprise needs to monitor the indicators of the financial and economic condition in the process of functioning. To identify the causes of financial and economic problems of threats of financial insolvency, it is necessary to systematically diagnose the financial condition and, on the basis of the results obtained, change the tactics of the enterprise. Financial and economic activity in business is the use of personal funds and the attraction of additional sources. The basis for developing a strategy and tactics for the development of an enterprise is diagnostics. It is customary to consider the financial statements of an enterprise as a source of information on diagnostics and forecasting, and the result of the study is a list of recommendations for further work. Financial forecasting allows you to significantly improve enterprise management by ensuring the coordination of all factors of production and implementation, the relationship between the activities of all departments and the distribution of responsibility. In difficult economic conditions, the significance of such recommendations is very important, it is on the basis of these recommendations that the enterprise's strategy is formed, its budget is adjusted, and priorities are changed. Assessment of resources and control over their use, improvement of the ratio of personal and borrowed funds, support of financial and economic stability and profitability of the business are not all the tasks of the analysis. The article discusses the main provisions of the analysis and diagnostics of the financial and economic condition of the enterprise.

Facilitating SMEs' profitability through total quality management: the roles of risk management, digitalization, stakeholder management and system deployment

PurposeThis study investigates the effect of total quality management (TQM) on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) ' profitability by examining whether the new TQM dimensions of risk management, digitalization, stakeholder management and system deployment, facilitate the impact of traditional TQM dimensions on profitability.Design/methodology/approachA structured survey of 271 Finnish SMEs divided into industry companies and service companies was used.FindingsRisk management facilitates the relation between continuous improvement and company profitability. Digitalization does not facilitate the relation between TQM dimensions and company profitability. Stakeholder management facilitates the relation between management/leadership and company profitability, customer focus and company profitability and continuous improvement and company profitability. System deployment does not facilitate the relation between TQM dimensions and company profitability.Originality/valueMost prior studies are based on the traditional TQM classification. The TQM dimensions of this study are more comprehensive than previous studies and take into account the latest trends in business development. The findings of this study differ from most previous studies and provide a source of reflection for SME management on how TQM should be implemented so that it affects the company's profitability.

일본 대외직접투자의 구조변화와 요인 - 2010년대를 중심으로 –

The thesis of this study explores the background of the rapid expansion of the Japanese outward direct investments of the 2010s. It also examines the structural changes of the Japanese outward direct investments, as well as its subsequent factors. Additionally, it will examine the business development processes of Japanese local subsidiaries. Based on business development trends and structural changes of overseas subsidiaries in Japan, it is intended to examine the future direction of overseas business in Japan. The rapid expansion of the Japanese outward direct investments of the 2010s, was mainly derived by the strengthened overseas production bases and branches of Japanese global corporations after the Great East Japan Earthquake. This was also the case for the M&A-oriented investments. In addition, structural changes spread from North America and China to Europe and ASEAN and from manufacturing to non-manufacturing sectors. Changes in these regions were largely influenced by external factors, while changes in the industries were affected by the Free Trade Agreement (EPA), as well as the development of new markets due to the shrinking domestic market. Meanwhile, the facility investments and the overseas production ratio has remained at a similar unstable level since the mid-2010s. It is expected that the Japanese outward direct investment regions that are centered on ASEAN are predicted to change from a manufacturing-oriented 'production base' to a 'consumption base' that is centered on non-manufacturing industries. These will be based on the digital economy due to environmental changes in the global economy and shrinking global supply chains.

FEATURES OF FORMATION OF THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN THE CONDITIONS OF INNOVATIVE ECONOMY

Introduction. In modern conditions of innovative economy, business development management acts as a general economic vector of rational consumption of resources and efficient functioning of production systems. It is known that even those companies that have similar potentials often differ in the results of their activities. Under these conditions, the difference in results can be explained only by the unequal degree of accuracy of the target orientation of the control system. In other words, other things being equal, the magnitude of the result will be greater the more successful the business development management system in an innovative economy.The purpose of the study is to define and substantiate the management system of business development in an innovative economy.The methodologyof scientific research is general and special methods of research of economic phenomena: analysis and synthesis – to determine the complex concepts of business development management; extrapolations – to identify new trends in business development and changes in the economy; grouping and classification – to systematize the factors influencing business development, etc.Conclusions and prospects for further research. Features of formation by business development which includes a set of means and methods of the directed influence on interests of business which are in constant dynamic transformation under the influence of external and internal conditions with orientation on rational use of resources and maintenance of necessary proportions of functioning of its economic complex are substantiated. It is determined that the special place of business development management in the conditions of innovative economy is due to the fact that it guarantees the integration of economic processes. The formation of a business development management system reflects the ability to streamline processes in business in accordance with the inherent internal laws of economic activity.

Analisis Brand Switching dan Penentuan Strategi Pemasaran Produk Bubble Tea Menggunakan Metode Markov Chain dan Game Theory

The emergence of various kinds of food and drinks that are packaged and presented in an attractive manner has made a change in the culinary business into a lifestyle part. One of the culinary businesses that is becoming a trend is boba. Boba products with well-known brands can easily be found in urban areas. Karawang as one of the industrial cities in Indonesia is experiencing rapid business development trends. This causes business actors and owners of the boba beverage brand to prepare a strategy to anticipate brand shifting to customers. This study aims to determine the brand shift in customers of A products bubble tea and B products bubble tea which are one of the well-known brands of the boba business in Karawang, and to find out what strategies are appropriate so that business people can remain competitive and maintain customer loyalty. The use of the Markov Chain method to see the brand transfer to customers and the Game Theory method to find out strategies to win the competition. The results showed that the Market Share for A product bubble tea was 0.401 and the B product bubble tea was 0.599 with a business strategy that could be done, namely adding flavors at an affordable price.

ГЕОЭКОНОМИЧЕСКАЯ СИСТЕМА И ГОСУДАРСТВЕННОЕ РЕГУЛИРОВАНИЕ ПРЕДПРИНИМАТЕЛЬСТВА

The article has an overview nature in order to make researchers familiar with individual results of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) for 2019. The GEM methodology studies the behavior of entrepreneurs from different countries, national specifics of regulation and their impact on the development of the modern geo-economic system. Since 2019, according to the GEM method, the entire world economy is subdivided by income level: with low, middle and high incomes of the population. Russia is among the group with middle incomes of the population. The study shows that entrepreneurial activity and economic growth depend on a country's economic development. Analysis and assessment of the main factors characterizing the most positive attitude of society towards entrepreneurship are observed in Poland, India, Sweden, and China. The lowest level is in Japan (10%), the Russian Federation and Belarus (30%). The article describes the main trends in business development, based on the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor studies. With a low income level, the entrepreneurial activity of the population is higher. In countries with a high level of GDP per capita, the level of entrepreneurial activity is declining. However, these countries show a high percentage of established entrepreneurs compared to start-ups. Over the past 5 years, the gender gap among entrepreneurs in the global economy has been leveled. The effectiveness of government regulation directly affects the growth of entrepreneurial activity. The author notes that the modern geo-economic system needs to study the best practices of institutional mechanisms for stimulating the potential of small and medium-sized businesses.

ВИСТАВКОВО-ЯРМАРКОВА ДІЯЛЬНІСТЬ ЯК ЕФЕКТИВНА ОРГАНІЗАЦІЙНА ФОРМА ПРОСУВАННЯ БРЕНДУ

The object of analysis in this study is exhibition and trade fair activities in Ukraine and abroad. It is argued that in contemporary realia, exhibition and trade fair activities is a crucial strategic element in building marketing communications. The research results on the development trends of modern exhibition business in Ukraine suggest that the exhibition industry is still in its infancy. The findings reveal the sector-specific issues. In particular, among the key challenges are the following: insufficient exhibition infrastructure development, the lack of transparency of the exhibition market, the lack of experience in the most effective use of this type of product promotion, etc. Based on statistical analysis and the legal regulatory framework review, the key exhibition business development trends in Ukraine have been presented along with identifying the major factors hindering the exhibition industry development. From this perspective, a conclusion has been drawn about the conceptual and terminological immaturity in the area of carrying out exhibition and trade fair activities in Ukraine. An emphasis is also put on the profound effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the exhibition industry globally. The study results demonstrate evidence of a significant decline in economic performance in this industry; in particular, this refers to a drastic decrease in companies’ income, a drop in investment flows, and costs of organizing exhibition events. Modern business environment is facing dramatic changes in exhibition and trade fair management, especially in the context of digital technologies advancements. A shift in priorities is a forced necessity, since virtual events is the safest method to promote companies and brands. Investing in virtual participation remains a key element in the survival plan of many exhibitions. The study discusses the need to design a strategy to boost exhibition activities in Ukraine, with due regard to the national socioeconomic development specifics along with suggesting priority measures to support the exhibition industry, such as affordable loans, tax «holidays» to ensure liquidity, long-term support in the form of direct subsidies which will contribute to sales and exhibition services market recovery, as well as further economic development in Ukraine.

In the context of a market economy and dynamic changes in the operating environment every business is confronted with the establishment of a clear management mechanism that can respond and adapt to the factors of influence and turn them into positive effects. The combination of all factors leads to the fact that the company should look for effective management decisions that will affect its production and economic activities, will help to overcome crisis phenomena, which will lead to diversification of technological processes and partial reorientation in order to increase competitive position in the target market. In order to achieve this goal, business entities need to develop a mechanism for making management decisions that will enable the efficiency of economic activity and increase competitiveness in the short-term. Today the management system is one that needs to be constantly innovated through the introduction of modern techniques and technologies. The key elements in this are the subjects and objects of management, among which there should always be interconnectedness, interdependence, they should be information oriented on top innovations in management and be ready to react quickly to changes with minimal losses in order to achieve the result. Therefore, the question arises in a more detailed study of the definition of «governance» by revealing its nature and constituents.The article presents the interpretation of the «management» concept from the perspective of various foreign and domestic economists. Approaches to its definition are analyzed and the enterprise management system is examined: how it works, what are its key elements and how to get the maximum benefit. The main types of management are classified and their interaction is presented. The types of management that allow to understand the hierarchy of management and the fact that one type does not completely replace another and only complements it in order to realize general and specific functions based on the relevant rational principles in leadership of different organizations, taking into account current trends in business development, management practice and industry specificity.
