How Does the Scientific Approach Matter to School Students' Higher Level Thinking Ability?

<span lang="EN-US">The research was conducted to find the effect of the practice of scientific views on the ability of high-level of students in thinking. The problems that occur to students are that there are students who are passive in question-and-answer sessions during the learning process or raise questions from learning videos and subject matter, there are students who are not creative in analyzing a case according to the learning topic, there are students who live with way of think issue at a learning process at class with high level thinking, there are some students do not know how to apply the way to analyze and evaluate in the Buddhist education subjects. Learning with a scientific approach can bring the impact to learning through the systematic and holistic thinking practices. This research brought the approach of quantitative and developed a survey method. The respondents is in total 70 people. The research place has been done at Buddhist School in Jakarta City. The data analysis result showed that can be interpreted that the scientific approach positively affected of student in thinking ability with high-level standard. The result recommendation to bring the perspective of the ability of school students in high-level thingking to create a tremendous way of learning in thinking level at class, so the schools and government can formulate the proper policy in school national standard and criteria. The research is limited in research time and methodology development, for new researchers can manage the time to explore more detail and concrete in the data collection using a direct observation and case study procedure in qualitative approach.</span>

Mainstreaming Slow Pace Learners Through Mobile Assisted Language Learning: A Case of Bengali Primary Level Students with Dyslexia

Every child has the right of taking education. The rights of having education of the children who have learning disabilities come forward in recent decades. The main aim of this thesis was to explore how Mobile assisted language learning tools can help the dyslexic children in mainstreaming education. Towards attaining the broad objectives, the study has also focused on some relevant objectives such as, to assist students with dyslexia in mainstreaming by focusing on phonological, morphological, and syntactical awareness, introducing dyslexic students to a multi-sensory learning system, to propose a focused device to assist dyslexic students in dealing with phoneme-grapheme harmonization, which are crucial in reading, to identify the perceptions about dyslexia among parents and teachers. Qualitative study was applied for this study where five dyslexic students were played main role as sample. Moreover, four teachers and five parents have also a role of assisting sample. The study was conducted from a Government Primary School in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The study showed that children having dyslexia have more difficulties in reading the voiced sounds, multisyllabic words, rhyming sentences. Furthermore, they have problems of sentence repetition, naming and timing knowledge. The study also demonstrated that parents and teachers play very negative role with these children that causes them to demotivate in terms of going school regularly. The major findings of the study showed that mobile assisted language learning tools help these dyslexic students to develop their skills in a tremendous way. The main reason is that they can hear a sound or word as many times possible as they want compared to the classroom where they have not the opportunity to ask several times. After using the tools, they felt more motivated and encouraged and most importantly they started enjoying their learning. Though government and many organizations have taken many activities to promote mainstreaming education, the opportunity of mainstreaming the dyslexic students is yet to develop.

ACEH AND IRAN BUSINESS COMMUNICATION BUILD

The natural resources in Aceh is flooded, nonetheless, the local government of Aceh management, utilization and effort still not yet maximized. The agriculture, farming and husbandry, fishery, services and air transportations in Aceh could be handled and managed maximally. The land area of Aceh which is reached 2.3 hectares can be utilized for multipurpose. Additionally, the Islamic Laws products in Aceh are doubtful as well, particularly in cosmetics and food industry sectors. And the other hand, Islamic Republic of Iran which is considered as one of most strategic country in the world could be a solution for Aceh because of; Aceh needs to some of petrochemical and oil derivative products to support the constructions and infrastructure sectors and the other side Iran could be as a west Asia’s gate to distribute some of strategic commodities from Aceh such as CPO and paper and certainly in education sector Iran seemly could be beneficial for Acehnese students. The theory that used in this article was based on business communication and Para diplomacy concept. The result shown that are a lot of sectors that are potentially recognized as the strips of cooperation between Aceh and Islamic Republic of Iran. The collaborations between Iranian outstanding technology and Aceh natural resources will be tremendous way to reach the mutual objectives of both sides.

Harnessing Information Communication Technology to Promote Healthcare Access by Women Living in Rural Areas : Opportunities and Challenges

In today’s world, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is the driving force behind all economic, financial, technological and social developments. It is a tool that has reached and impacted individuals, organizations and nations globally. In the last couple of decades, ICT has revolutionized the medical field in a tremendous way. ICTs have impacted healthcare sector through sharing of public health information, diagnosis and treatment, facilitation of collaboration and cooperation among healthcare workers, remote consultation, effective health research, monitoring health incidences and improving overall efficiency of healthcare facilities. In this paper, desktop exploratory study was conducted to find out how ICT can be harnessed to promote healthcare access by women in rural areas considering associated opportunities and challenges. It looks at uptake of ICT in healthcare in developed countries versus developing nations. It concludes by outlining the opportunities and challenges associated with the application and use of ICTs by women living in rural areas.

Examining and Understanding the Dynamics of COVID-19 Pandemic and the Ecosystems Theory-Social Work Perspectives

The novel COVID-19 has affected every aspect of our lives in tremendous and unimaginable ways. The systems impacted include healthcare, education, economy, employment, and social systems including children and families. It has also affected our political and legal systems including individual rights as well as national discourse and international travel and relations. The advent of this unique and extraordinary issue requires that professionals like social workers, doctors, counselors/therapists, and psychologists adapt their approaches, strategies, skills, services and interventions to better serve clients/patients and operate effectively in the new societal order. This article explores the effect and response to the COVID-19 Pandemic within the United States as well as in the global context and draw an analytical relationship between it and the ecosystems theory. Thus, using the conceptual framework of the ecosystems theory, I draw a relationship between human behavior and the social environment using anecdotal cases in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. I contend that the polarized reactions from certain groups of individuals in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and mask mandates are because people are social beings and are inextricably impacted by their social and ecological environment, as well as factors within this environment, and requires a special examination, understanding, knowledge, adaptation, and strategic approach. Finally, I recommend best practice intervention approaches to social workers who are interacting and intervening with, and/or providing services to these unique clients to support healthy working relationships, and to facilitate a formidable needs assessment that leads to a successful and safe interaction and intervention.

A British gentleman, a man with a vision Emanuel Saul Rosen MD, FRCSEd September 23, 1936-November 20, 2021.

The field of ophthalmology lost a huge asset in November 2021. Emanuel Rosen was not only an innovator, pioneer, and driving force who helped shape the field of cataract and refractive surgery as we know it today, but he was also a wonderful colleague and kind friend. His successful career in the UK was lengthy and varied, but I would like to highlight the tremendous ways Emanuel helped shape the ESCRS and this journal. A more in-depth look at his career can be found on the ESCRS EuroTimes website (www.eurotimes.org). In 1973, a time when intraocular implants, phacoemulsification, and corneal refractive surgery were all met with hostility and reluctance by the medical/surgical establishment, Emanuel performed his first intraocular lens implantation after removing a cataract. Recognizing that this was the future, he assembled a group of young, passionate surgeons from around the world who were eager to develop new methods to help improve the vision of their patients. This group formed the Manchester Cataract Centre at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, UK, with the express purpose of surgical teaching and training. Emanuel's partnership with the hospital continued for nearly 30 years. In 1981, after years of networking, he was an inaugural member of the European IntraOcular Implant Council (EIIC). The society's membership grew quickly, and in 1988, the EIIC changed its name to the ESCRS.1 Emanuel was a key player in this transition and served as the first ESCRS President from 1988 to 1993. Some historical context puts the amazement of these achievements into perspective. During the time that the Manchester Cataract Centre and these European societies were founded and developing, the Cold War was ongoing, Europe was not unified in currency, borders or governing policy, and Germany was still divided by East and West. Today, the ESCRS is a society with 6730 members and 3086 trainees. Emanuel's desire to connect people and expand ideas was complimented by his commitment to move knowledge forward through publishing. In 1969, he published the first English-language textbook on retinal disorders and angiography. By 1986, he was the Editor of the English language version of Implant, the monthly journal of the EIIC. In 1996, as the EIIC continued to expand and changed its name to ESCRS, and in the advent of an internet-connected world, Dr. Stephen Obstbaum from the ASCRS and Emanuel Rosen from the ESCRS envisioned a collective journal for both societies.2 From this vision emerged the Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery. Emanuel served as the JCRS European Editor from 1996 to 2014 and Case Report Editor from 2014 to 2020.2–4 Emanuel was a direct link to surgical pioneers who introduced what are now standard ideas, including intraocular lenses, phakic lenses, phacoemulsification, and corneal refractive laser surgery. He set a high bar of achievement, collegial cooperation, and commitment. I was lucky to have been able to work with him for so many years. He will be greatly missed, and his achievements will be remembered for decades to come. We extend our most sincere sympathy to his wife, Barbara, and 3 children, Caroline, William, and Edward.

Does COVID-19 really make people risk aversion in investment decision-making?

The economic fallout from COVID-19 pandemic changes individuals’ investment perceptions and behaviors in a tremendous way. Consequently, investment decision-making has been affected as people have to adjust to the new environment. This study aims to study whether COVID-19 really make people risk aversion due to the economic slowdown. Our empirical results are analyzed from household finance data in U.S in July 2021. It is found that COVID-19 proximity, income, and occupation are positively associate with risking taking in investment decision-making, while age and family size are not. This study contributes to the newly emerged body of knowledge on post pandemic investment decision-making and risk behavior analysis and provide implications for financial investment institutions.

The benefits of exposing post-secondary students to entrepreneurship training in Trinidad and Tobago

Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) serves as a pillar for economic stability globally. Entrepreneurship education provides young people with essential skills that can be used in a positive manner, thus enabling them to be employers rather than employees. Marrying TVET and entrepreneurship education can help Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) in tremendous ways. These two subjects TVET and entrepreneurship can lift T&T to global prestige. Given this context, the study explored the benefits of exposing Post-Secondary TVET students to entrepreneurial training. An investigation was carried out using a mix-methods approach. The use of regression analysis and Spearman’s Correlation Analysis were used that determine the relationship between exposing Post-Secondary Technical Vocational Education and Training Students (PSTVETS) to entrepreneurship education and their interest in entrepreneurial training. Additionally, qualitative data was incorporated by utilising content analysis, focus groups and semi-structured interviews. The data revealed there was an absence of entrepreneurship education. Upon further investigation there was no real entrepreneurship culture or framework implemented within the PS schools. The results also showed the more students are exposed to entrepreneurship education more they are inclined to pursue entrepreneurship endeavours. Data also allowed the reader to grasped copious challenges experienced within TVET in T&T, that impacts on entrepreneurial training within post-secondary institutions in T&T. The researchers put forward an entrepreneurship education model that can be incorporated in the training of post-secondary schools. Additionally a strategy was articulated as to how entrepreneurship education can be adopted within the training of post-secondary institutions. Providing an adequate framework for entrepreneurial training within entrepreneurship education, and TVET provides originality and contribution to the field of TVET and entrepreneurship education.

Health research in the Syrian conflict: opportunities for equitable and multidisciplinary collaboration

There is considerable global momentum from Syrian researchers, policy makers and diaspora to address health, security and development challenges posed by almost a decade of armed conflict and complex geopolitics that has resulted in different areas of political control. However, research funders have been so far reluctant to invest in large-scale research programmes in severely conflict-affected areas such as northern Syria. This paper presents examples of collaborations and programmes that could change this through equitable partnerships between academic and operational humanitarian organizations involving local Syrian researchers—a tremendous way forward to capitalize and accelerate this global momentum.Several academic and humanitarian organizations have initiated collaborations to build new networks and partnerships for better research and policy engagement in Syria. The networks conducted two consecutive annual conferences in 2019 and 2020. Key messages from these conference include: (1) equitable partnerships between organizations and individual researchers must form the basis of conducting better research; (2) ensuring the inclusion of local Syrian researchers is crucial in the development of any viable partnership; (3) capacity strengthening in health research is urgently needed in Syria’s current phase of active conflict to inform, develop and implement strengthened and sustainable health systems in the post-conflict phase.

Faith, social prestige and violence against surgeon in India and subcontinent: a narrative review

Violence against surgeons is universal problem but unique in India. It is reported on a daily basis across India. A lot of literature is available. Analysis and review are required. This article is about the best solutions to violence’s against surgeon. Various books, conference presentation and proceedings, workshop lectures, various electronic databases, symposium lectures, research papers and talks have been selected. Selected full articles were reviewed (total-13 article). This review is conducted for the practical knowledge to prevent violence against surgeon and hence patient-doctor satisfaction. Poor patient surgeon communication and lack of faith in medical system are major reasons for violence. There are more reasons which are discussed in details. Poor image of surgeons, cost of healthcare, poor quality of healthcare and poor communication is major factor for violence against surgeons. Low health literacy and lack of faith in the judicial procedure are also important factor. Media can explain all these things but they are not interested. Surgeon should understand the nature of patient and their relatives and act accordingly. Proper explanation in people’s language can change things in tremendous way.

Fuzzy Sumudu Decomposition Method for Fuzzy Delay Differential Equations with Strongly Generalized Differentiability

Fuzzy delay differential equation has always been a tremendous way to model real-life problems. It has been developed throughout the last decade. Many types of fuzzy derivatives have been considered, including the recently introduced concept of strongly generalized differentiability. However, considering this interpretation, very few methods have been introduced, obstructing the potential of fuzzy delay differential equations to be developed further. This paper aims to provide solution for fuzzy nonlinear delay differential equations and the derivatives considered in this paper is interpreted using the concept of strongly generalized differentiability. Under this method, the calculations will lead to two cases i.e. two solutions, and one of the solutions is decreasing in the diameter. To fulfil this, a method resulting from the elegant combination of fuzzy Sumudu transform and Adomian decomposition method is used, it is termed as fuzzy Sumudu decomposition method. A detailed procedure for solving fuzzy nonlinear delay differential equations with the mentioned type of derivatives is constructed in detail. A numerical example is provided afterwards to demonstrate the applicability of the method. It is shown that the solution is not unique, and this is in accord with the concept of strongly generalized differentiability. The two solutions can later be chosen by researcher with regards to the characteristic of the problems. Finally, conclusion is drawn.

Predicting user’s next location using machine learning algorithms

The reliability on smartphones has been increased in a tremendous way in the last decade, and this incensement brings us nothing but data to investigate. Furthermore, the ability to predict user’s next location plays a vital role in Location-Based Services and recommender systems. This paper is seeking to predict the user’s next location based on their spatial background using machine learning methods like Artificial Neural Networks and Classification methods like K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Support Vector Machine and Decision Tree. The suitable method is then chosen through their comparison. The data used in this research is from active users provided from the Geolife dataset from the city of Beijing. The best result is obtained from the Weighted K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) method, with an overall accuracy of 91.98 percent. Additionally the dependency between observed data and model prediction is determined. A concept called Routineness is also introduced, which shows the predictability and anomalies of each users’ behavior, based on the difference in prediction methods from their spatial and temporal background. A comparison is also done with similar researches that used the same data to evaluate the sufficiency of the methods. The computation shows the proposed method predicts behavior 2.72% more accurate than similar ones.

In this paper , the collected tweets are classified with the help of NB and Enhanced Random Forest classifiers. The prediction is then assessed on many validation measures such as accuracy,precision and F1 score.

Leaf Disease Detection of SoyBean Plant using Machine Learning Algorithms

Secure Communication across the Internet by Encrypting the Data using Cryptography and Image Steganography

Sharing the information has become a facile task nowadays just like one-tap which can take the information to any component of the world. This whole thing transpired over the evolution of the cyber world, which avails to stay connected with the entire world. Due to the wide-spread utilization of the cyber world, it leads a peril of data breaching by some incognito or unauthorized people while it is being sent from one utilizer to another. Unauthorized people can get access to the data and extract utilizable information from it. The confidential data being sent through the web which may get tampered while reaching the other end-utilizer. So, to dispense this data breaching, we can encrypt the data being sent and the receiver can only decrypt the message so that we can conceal the data. It routes a tremendous way to do this, the most popular one is cryptography, and another is steganography. Anteriorly there subsist many ways in these techniques like Image Steganography, Secret key Cryptography, LSB method, and so on which are being used to encrypt data and secure communication. One of the algorithms of cryptography is utilized along with Image Steganography to encrypt the data to ascertain more security which resembles the two-step verification process. In proposed paper we utilized new Huffman coding algorithm in step of the Image Steganography to ascertain that even an astronomically immense data can fit into a minute image. The ciphertext is compressed utilizing Huffman Coding and then it gets embedded into an image utilizing LSB method of Image Steganography in which the least paramount bits of the image are superseded with the data from the antecedent step.
