Socialization of Juvenile Delinquency Prevention: Traffic Discipline One of the traffic problems is juvenile delinquency which is often caused by, for example, not having a driver’s license, using the noisy motorbike exhaust, speeding on the road and so on. Traffic violations have a direct negative impact on the Security, Safety, Order and Smoothness of Traffic and Road Transportation sectors.This is a problem faced by society which is now increasingly widespread. The method used for the 2nd grade at Senior High School 3 Sepaku to overcome juvenile delinquency in traffic discipline are the methods of socialization, lectures and discussions. The success of this socialization was due to the enthusiasm of students to know and understand aspects of criminal law, especially traffic violations by teenagers.

Impact of Auxiliary Markings on Intersection Safety

The rapid growth of motorcycle vehicles coupled with inadequate traffic discipline contributes to an escalating rate of traffic accidents and casualties. This study investigates the efficacy of auxiliary road markings in enhancing traffic safety and intersection performance along Lieutenant Sutopo Street, Promoter Street, and Boulevard BSD East in South Tangerang, Indonesia. Employing the Traffic Conflict Technique (TCT), the research evaluates safety enhancements and service level alterations subsequent to the installation of road markings. Preliminary observations highlight significant safety concerns and traffic conflicts at the intersection. Consequently, auxiliary road markings are strategically installed to regulate driver behavior, enhance lane discipline, and improve visibility. Post-installation observations revealed a significant decrease in total vehicle conflicts, though the percentage of severe conflicts slightly increased. Initially rated as Level of Service (LOS) F with high delays, the LOS remained the same post-marking installation but with reduced delays. Further cycle time adjustments improved the LOS to E, indicating a substantial overall reduction in delays. The findings suggest that although auxiliary road markings effectively reduce traffic conflicts and improve intersection performance, additional measures are necessary to address the severity of these conflicts. The study offers valuable insights into the effectiveness of road safety interventions, supporting broader strategies for improving traffic management and safety in urban areas.

Minimalisasi Pelanggaran Lalu Lintas Melalui Sistem ETLE (Electronic Traffic Law Enfforcement) oleh Satlantas Polresta Banyumas

Law enforcement in the field of traffic is part of the contribution to the realization of security, safety, order, and smoothness of traffic. This can be done by applying appropriate sanctions for traffic violations. Thus, information technology is needed to support enforcement and prevent deviant practices committed by unscrupulous police officers. One of the Industry 4.0 technology-based public service innovations in the traffic sector is the ETLE (Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement) system. ETLE is a law enforcement system in Indonesia related to traffic discipline and safety. This paper discusses the efforts of the Banyumas Police Traffic Unit in minimizing traffic violations through the ETLE system. The current problem of traffic violations still requires road user awareness. Thus, traffic violations can be minimized as best as possible. With the ETLE system organized by the Police Traffic Unit, traffic security and order can be created properly.

Investigating the non-work antecedents of workplace deviance

Deviance in the workplace, which has a huge destructive and harmful impact on the organization, is of key concern to academicians and practitioners. Existing literature focuses on the work-related antecedents of workplace deviance. However, the non-work-related antecedents have received little attention. Hence, the present research attempts to understand, the non-work antecedents that aggravate deviant behavior among employees at a workplace. The Gioia qualitative research approach was used to understand, examine, analyze, and interpret the views of respondents. A semi-structured interviewing technique was adopted. The respondents were encouraged to share their own experiences, thoughts, and understanding regarding the phenomenon. A sample of 25 experienced respondents from public and private organisations in Pakistan were interviewed. The results indicate that commuting factors (road hindrances, conflict behaviors, traffic discipline, and over-speeding), social factors (family-work conflict, and disturbed social relations), and an individual’s lifestyle (attitude, physical inactivity, and sleep deprivation) are the contributing factors pertaining to the non-work antecedents of workplace deviance. The current study contributes to the literature by focusing on the non-work antecedents of workplace deviance.

ANALISIS PEMBELAJARAN DISIPLIN MAHASISWA BARU TAHUN AKADEMIK 2020 FKIP UNTAN DI PONTIANAK

AbstractThis research is entitled "Analysis of New Student Discipline Learning for Academic Year 2020 FKIP Untan in Pontianak". The formulation of the problem in this research is How Discipline Learning for New Students in the 2020 Academic Year of FKIP Untan in Pontianak. The method used is descriptive method. The form of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques in this study were: direct communication with data collection tools, interview guides, direct observation using observation sheet data collection tools, documentary studies using data file data collection tools. The results of the study are as follows: Based on research that has been conducted on FKIP Untan students, it is known that there is no difference in learning traffic discipline based on attitudes towards the police (FA). This can be seen from the results obtained, where FA got a value of 1.705 with a p value of 0.186 (p> 0.05). When viewed based on the categorization of variable values, positive values with a score range of 75 get a result of 14% with a frequency of 7 men and 10 women. On a neutral value with a score range of 50-74 get 81% results with the same frequency between men and women as many as 49 people. Meanwhile, the negative categorization got a result of 5% with the frequency of 4 men and 2 women. Keyword : Analysis of student discipline learning.

EFFECT OF THE REGULATORY ENVIRONMENT ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STRATEGIC TRANSPORT INTEGRATION AND SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY OF MATATU SACCOS IN NAIROBI COUNTY, KENYA

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to establish the effect of the regulatory environment on the relationship between strategic transport integration and sustainable mobility of Matatu Saccos in Nairobi County, Kenya.
 Materials and Methods: The study was guided by Positivism philosophy while descriptive research design was adopted. The target population was 177 Sacco Managers and two representatives, one from MOT and other from MVOA respectively. The whole population of 179 respondents was used in the study hence; the study employed the census approach. The questionnaire was pilot tested on 18 respondents who were selected randomly. The study applied Cronbach's alpha and the results displayed a high level of internal consistency hence infers that the research tool used in the study was reliable. The data collection instrument was a semi-structured questionnaire, which were dropped and picked later. A semi-structured interview guide was also used. Data was analysed using descriptive and SPSS Version 24.
 Results: The findings indicate that there exists a statistically significant, positive effect of strategic integration on sustainable mobility of Matatu Saccos in Nairobi County, Kenya. The R square in the moderated models changed from 71.3% to 80.9% indicating 9.6% increase in variation as a result of the regulatory environment moderating effect. Further, the increase was statistically significant; this implies that regulatory environment does significantly moderate the effect of strategic integration and sustainable mobility of Matatu Saccos in Nairobi County, Kenya. 
 Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: The study recommended that both the Ministry of Transport and Sacco management develop a punitive measure to curb corruption. The other recommendation is that they should also develop regulatory policies to ensure that vehicles are regularly inspected to confirm their minimum road worthiness to increase safety and increase passenger comfort. This will also promote green environment that will reduce the health hazards of vehicle emission. Additionally, the policy can enhance traffic discipline which is poorly enforced. and also provide basic statistics on transport system.

Traffic Compliance Index of Acehnese Community

The purpose of this article is to analyze and discuss the correlation between the behavior of the Acehnese and the culture of traffic discipline. Every road user is obliged to obey the traffic rules, but the number of accidents is increasing every year, resulting in numerous deaths, injuries and property damage. This is an empirical legal research using a survey method with a qualitative approach. Interviews, observations, and file review is also used in this research. The results show that the traffic behavior of Acehnese remains poor, with the observation-based traffic compliance index having a value of 5.41 on a scale of 1-10. Most violations were committed by male drivers with 2 (two) wheels. The most common violations are not wearing a helmet, not turning on the main lights during the day, and not having a driver's license (SIM). Most traffic violations are committed by individuals between the ages of 17 and 40, most of whom have a high school education or equivalent. It is necessary to optimize the socialization of traffic discipline and the arrangement of traffic fiqh by the Aceh Provincial Police of Traffic Department (Ditlantas Polda Aceh), local authorities and related agencies.

The Law Enforcement Against Traffic Violations By Minor Children

The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze law enforcement against traffic violations by minors at the Semarang Police Station and to identify and analyze the obstacles to law enforcement against traffic violations by minors at the Semarang Police Station. This study uses a sociological juridical approach, which in this case relates to law enforcement against traffic violations by minors at the Semarang Police Station, with descriptive analytical research specifications. The data used are primary and secondary data which will be analyzed qualitatively. The research problem was analyzed using the theory of justice and the theory of the operation of law. The results of the study conclude that law enforcement against underage traffic violations is through preventive and repressive efforts. Conceptually, the handling of criminal acts in Indonesia is integrated, both within the internal scope of the National Police and within the scope that involves other components outside the National Police. In handling traffic violations by minors, problems arise because they are caused by a lack of legal awareness in the community, lack of traffic discipline, lack of legal socialization, inconsistent law enforcement and selective slashing, aspects of legal culture, and sanctions that are too light.

Analysis of Traffic Accident Charachteristic In Rimbo Panjang-Bangkinang Road, Kampar District, Riau Province

Kampar is a district in Riau Province which has 841.332 people. (BPS : 2019). As long as the society’s growth over Kampar District, the need of transportation system is also increased, which makes accidents number increased every year. By the term of condition, some handling operations are needed to know the capacity and rank of accident-prone areas to reduce traffic accidents. This study used secondary data from local police agency by accidents data from 214-2018. Data were analyzed to count the accident-prone areas. The total numbers of accident rate was on Jalan Rimbo Panjang-Bangkinang with the total 53 accidents. There were 99 victims of whom 18 people wee died, 32 people were seriously injured and 49 were slightly injured. It observed by Blacks Spot and Black Site methods. Based on Accident rate, roads on Rimbo Panjang-Bangkinang were identify by Accident Rate 0,399. Sei Tiarap-Kampar Village on Accident Rate 0,233 and Penyesawan Village – Air Tiris by Accident Rate 0,233 And Clack Site 0,133 for Padang Mutung-Village-Penyesawan Village. 0,116 for Sei Tiarap – Kampar Village and 0,033 for Penyesawan-Air Tiris. The conclusion is there are three accident-prone areas from thirteen locations, which makes handling and addition of facilities and infrastructure should be done, as well as development of traffic discipline of road users.

Machine learning‐based traffic scheduling techniques for intelligent transportation system: Opportunities and challenges

SummaryThe rise in traffic congestion has become a significant concern in the urban city environment. The conventional traffic control systems with inefficient human resources management fail to control the traffic discipline, leading to increased traffic density and road offenses. However, the intelligent transportation system (ITS) can provide safety, efficiency, and sustainability for large‐scale vehicular traffic dilemmas. ITS unites machine learning with the available traffic control force and performs real‐time police scheduling to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. Many researchers have demonstrated notable work in intelligent traffic police scheduling and deployment using various optimization algorithms. However, the compilation of such praiseworthy work as a whole is still missing. Motivated by these facts, we provide a comprehensive review of the machine learning‐based state‐of‐the‐art technologies that can be used to form a three‐tier solution taxonomy. The first tier describes various tools and technologies that can be utilized to collect traffic data. The second tier highlights the machine learning algorithms and their accuracy, which forms a pattern in the collected data and then yields some crucial information about traffic flow, congestion levels, and so forth. In the third tier, the most vital taxonomy layer, various traffic police scheduling strategies are discussed. The proposed survey also presents the use of cases of traffic police scheduling that elaborates this review's applicability in various domains. Finally, some of the key challenges in the subject being reviewed are discussed, which initiates a further scope of improvement.

Effect of Photo- and Video-Fixation Systems of the Automobile Speed Rate in Orel Region

The article analyses the reasons for decreased traffic accidents in the Orel Region during 2017-2019 observed during the annual growth of traffic flow intensity. Dependence of the traffic discipline and culture of road users on existence of photo- and video-fixation systems for identification of speed infringements is checked. The methods for analyzing automobile traffic intensity and speed on areas of the motorway with and without video-fixation are used. The measures for further introduction and improvement of photo- and video-surveillance in the Orel Region and other Russian regions are suggested.

IDENTIFYING THE FACTORS INHIBITING RESEARCH ON URBAN FREIGHT TRANSPORT IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES: REVIEW OF STUDIES IN INDIA

Most of the cities in developing countries are found to have non-uniform distribution of urban space, complex land use patterns, mixed traffic conditions, extensive use of non-motorized vehicles and lack of traffic discipline. In comparision to the developed countries, it is more complicated to manage urban freight transport in developing countries due to the lack of sufficient infrastructure, wide socio-economic gaps between urban and non-urban areas and haphazard peripheral developments. Therefore the methods and strategies used to manage urban freight transport in developed countries cannot be directly used for cities in developing countries. It is necessary to devise distinctive solutions to improve the efficieny of urban freight transport in these cities, which may otherwise, inhibit the economic growth of these cities as well as hamper the overall momentum of country’s GDP growth gathered over decades. In recent years some studies focussing on urban freight transport are carried out in India, China and Brazil. This paper reviews urban freight studies carried out for Indian cities. India, world’s second most populous country to China, has 39 cities with a million plus population. Most of its cities are facing problems like congestion and air quality degradation due to inefficient freight movement practices. Review of urban freight studies is carried out based on different parameters influencing efficiency of freight movement. Various challenges and limitations faced by the researchers and administrators are discussed. Based on the review results, suggestions and future scope for research in different aspects of urban freight are presented in the paper.

Factors Relating To Safety Riding Behaviors In Students Of Senior High School 5 Palu

Traffic accidents are still a global problem today. Traffic accidents are the main cause of death for all age groups dominated by adolescents. The number of traffic accident cases in Indonesia reached 108,871 incidents with details of which 25,511 people died. Accident data in Central Sulawesi during 2016 reached 1,889 incidents, with 420 dead, 1,076 serious injuries and 2,042 minor injuries. The city of Palu is in order no. 1 with traffic accidents 308 cases with losses of up to 616 million rupiah. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with safety riding behavior. This type of research is quantitative with a Cross Sectional Study approach, sampling using the Proportional Stratified Random Sampling method. The number of samples in this study were 84 respondents. The data were collected using a questionnaire with a Guttman scale. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that there was no relationship between knowledge (p = 0.95), while there was a relationship between attitude (p = 0.008), SIM ownership (p = 0.003), and safety riding behavior. To prevent traffic accidents, it is necessary to provide an understanding of Safety Riding, guide traffic discipline, invite them to complete driving licenses, familiarize children with using PPE, and provide motivation to always prioritize safety in driving.

Legal Compliance On The Road As The Effort To Overcome Jakarta’s Traffic Congestion

Traffic discipline is an important attitude. Road drivers need to be accustomed to it if they want to reach their destination safely. Drivers need to be disciplined regarding regulation. Jakarta is a densely populated city with the problem of traffic congestion due to its road users who do not comply with regulations. Why are the people of Jakarta not discipline in traffic? What is the solution to make them obey traffic rules? These are main problems discussed in this paper. The research used the normative method, analyzed descriptively, used primary data which was supported by secondary data, and processed qualitatively. Jakarta people are not disciplined in traffic because there is no awareness about the importance of traffic order. As solutions, theremust be a strict law enforcement on the road, and officers must keep providing information to the public on the importance of traffic order. There must be sanction as a deterrent effect for those who are not disciplined in traffic.Keywords: legal compliance; law enforcement; traffic order.

Konformitas dan Sifat Mencari Sensasi dengan Disiplin Berlalu Lintas

Teenagers can be called a transition period which is synonymous with freedom of identity. Conformity is very high at this age, as the phenomenon of illegal motor racing groups often violates traffic norms and is undisciplined with Law Number 22 Year 2009. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between conformity, sensation seeking nature and traffic discipline in a group of teenage illegal motor racing in Purwosari District, Pasuruan Regency. The population in this study is a group of illegal motor racing in Pasuruan. While the sample used was 112 male teenagers in the wild racing motorbike group taken with cluster sampling technique. Data collection uses a scale of conformity, with a validity coefficient between 0.373 to 0.75 and an reliability coefficient of rxx 'of 0.841. The scale of sensation seeking properties with a validity coefficient of 0.318 to 0.521, the reliability coefficient rxx ’of 0.802. While the scale of the discipline of validity across the range of validity ranges from 0.331 to 0.597 and the reliability coefficient rxx 'of 0.827. The results showed that the hypothesis stating there was a relationship between conformity, sensation seeking characteristics with traffic discipline was accepted with a correlation of Ry (1.2) of 0.38> r table 1% = 0.256, and Freg of 9.19%> of F table 1% = 4.61.

Modelling of Driver’s Gap Acceptance for Evaluation of Traffic Flow Characteristics at Unsignalized Intersection in Urban Area, Ethiopia

Introduction: Studying microscopic traffic flow characteristics has vital role in reduction of traffic problems. Gap acceptance and waiting time are traffic characteristics that are used in capacity, delay and level of service at unsignalized intersection. A lot of studies related to gap acceptance and waiting time has been done in developed countries under homogeneous traffic and road conditions. Objectives: This study is aimed to insight gap acceptance and waiting time behavior of merging or crossing vehicles in urban intersection under heterogeneous traffic condition and weak lane discipline in developing country like Ethiopia. Methods: In this paper three unsignalized intersection in Adama city has been selected on the basis of traffic volume and importance of the intersection. The primary data that were used for this study were traffic volume, speed, headway, waiting time, geometry of road, gap accepted and rejected. By using digital Camera, videos data were recorded; later quantitative data were extracted from videos. Two Statistical Packages that were used in analysis of this study. Minitab 19 was used for developing regression models of waiting time and gap acceptance for two maneuver types namely traffic turning to left and turning right from minor road. Result: Dichotomous generalized linear regression model (logit model) has been used to predict gap acceptance probability and validated by Hosmer-Lemeshow testing techniques to identify the goodness of model. The waiting time of drivers to accept and reject available gaps for three selected intersections were about 26sec, 24sec and 20sec. From the developed nonlinear model traffic turning to left moving with average speed 30kmph, average headway of 10sec and minor road traffic volume 2000PCu/Hr, increasing 25% major road traffic volume makes to double waiting time on minor road. Increasing major road traffic volume by 50% makes to quadruple waiting time.

ANALISA CLUSTERING PADA DATA PELANGGARAN LALULINTAS DI PENGADILAN NEGERI DUMAI DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE K-MEANS

The order of traffic on the road is very important for motorists on the highway, the lack of awareness of motor vehicle users and the poor drivers of traffic discipline make the level of traffic violations in driving on the highway always increase so that the number of ticket data received by the Dumai District Court. This research was conducted to analyze and classify data violations using the k-means method to facilitate knowing the types of violations that are often violated by vehicle users. The attributes to be analyzed are the types of violations and types of vehicles. The test was carried out using the Rapidminer 5 application where the data tested was data from the Dumai District Court on December 2017, as many as 616 violations. Central cluster data consists of 3 clusters, namely C1 = Many, C2 = moderate and C3 = few who commit traffic violations. So the results of the data obtained where C1 produces 1 data, C2 gets as much as 4 data and C3 as many as 7 data. Where the type of violation that is often violated is the type of violation that does not use a helmet and the type of vehicle is a motorcycle. From the results of this study can be used or can be followed up with the holding of socialization to reduce the number of traffic violations.
