Tourist, Digital and Interactive Brochure for the Dissemination of the Jama-Coaque Culture

Purpose: The aim of this work is to create a digital and interactive touristic-educational brochure as a resource for disseminating information about Jama-Coaque culture. The brochure will serve as a tool to highlight the tourist attractions, services, and products offered in the region, as well as to promote the culture and traditions of the area. Method: The methodology used was quantitative, based on a survey conducted through Google Forms with 375 observations within the population of Jama. Results and Conclusions: The results showed that the population is open to the implementation and use of new technological tools to access information, especially among the younger population, and that there is a strong identification with cultural values and the importance of tourism for the social and economic development of the locality. Research Implications: The practical and theoretical implications of this research are discussed, providing information on how the results can be applied or influence practices in the field of Jama-Coaque culture. These implications could encompass the Pedernales Canton. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature on the development of community-based and sustainable tourism of Jama-Coaque culture. The relevance and value of this research are evidenced in explaining how the results can impact the area of study or professional practice.

The Implementation of Tourism Policies in Sikka Regency: Tracing the Role of Local Government in Maintaining Tourism Places

The tourism sector plays a significant source of foreign exchange profits and promotes national economic growth, particularly in terms of lowering unemployment and boosting a country's productivity. However, a tourism destination located in a village frequently produces conflicts of interest between stakeholders and tourism service providers in the community. Thus, this research is intended to find out what are the government policies towards the sustainability of the tourism sector in Sikka Regency. In addition, this research aims to investigate the impacts of Tourism policies conducted by Sikka Regency Government. This research uses qualitative research design by employing interviews and documentation to gain the comprehensive data. The results of this study indicate that there are several programs conducted by the Tourism and Culture office in Sikka Regency. The programs are increasing attractiveness of tourist destinations program, tourism marketing program, and tourism and creative economy resource development program. In implementing the programs, several activities carried out starting from maximising socialisation, implementing several programs by involving all stakeholders to work together in optimising tourist destinations. In addition, the Tourism and Culture office also provides tourism personnel with education and training related to the program. Furthermore, the Tourism and Culture office establishes rules for each tourist destination to record and report the Regional Original Revenue. The implementation of tourism policies in Sikka Regency has been effective. It can be seen from the increase of Regional Original Revenue 2021-2024, especially in the tourism sector. Several suggestions are that the Tourism and Culture office need to improve infrastructure and collaborate with other tourist attraction managers to build links.

Aplikasi Absensi Siswa Berbasis Android

Students at SMA Negeri 1 Central Bengkulu are still dominated by the manual method, namely taking student absences by recording them on paper which will later be summarized from each student's attendance data. Because the manual recap of student attendance data also affects the information about attendance recaps which is still limited to the school, so parents/guardians cannot monitor student attendance levels. Inconsistency in attendance data can be detrimental to students, there is often a difference between the absences listed in the attendance register book/record into the system, which is one of the factors that makes the original data and data that have been verified into the system different. Utilizing the location of an Android smartphone to become an attendance system, which functions to provide location information based on the user's nearest location, assisting in searching for locations based on 6 existing parameters, namely education (high school/vocational school/university), hospital, hotel, restaurant, tourist attraction , and malls/traditional markets. It is hoped that this application will always be up to date so that this application follows developments in Android-based lecturer/teacher attendance information technology using the Flutter framework.

‘Assertive + machine-written’ and ‘non-assertive + human-written’ just feel right: how do language assertiveness and typeface interact to impact environmental messaging persuasiveness in tourism?

The application of assertive language in environmental persuasion has produced mixed results. Besides the language content intensity such as assertiveness, this research proposes that a congruency of language content and visual presentation format such as typeface could be achieved to increase message persuasiveness of pro-environmental behaviors in the tourism domain. With three scenario-based experiments focusing on a garbage sorting initiative at a tourist attraction, a food waste reduction program in a restaurant, and an animal protection donation advocacy in a national park, respectively, the research demonstrated that matching assertive language with machine-written typeface, or non-assertive language with handwritten format, could enhance tourists’ compliance behaviors. The research also uncovered perceived fit and a subjective experience of feeling right as the underlying mechanism, and tourist involvement as a boundary condition for such a congruency effect. The theoretical and practical implications are also discussed.

Financial Management Policy and Governance for the Preservation of the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Malaysia as a Tourism Attraction

Tourism in developing countries especially in Malaysia faces challenges between economic development and sustainable tourism, especially in promoting heritage assets and sites. A comprehensive policy together with proper governance needs to be revised to tackle this issue. It is necessary to analyze and understand the current policy and propose how the Malaysian government can establish a comprehensive method of managing heritage assets in Malaysia through sustainable UNESCO world heritage tourism. This study urges the proposed benchmarking study on Malaysia”s documentation (to be compared to Indonesia) to assess the adequacy of the policy and governance in preserving the UNESCO world heritage site in Malaysia (Lenggong Valley).

Implementation of The Lake Paisu Pok Tourism Development Policy (Challenges and Recommendations for Enhancing Tourist Attraction)

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the flagship tourism development policy at Lake Paisu Pok. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with various stakeholders, field observations, and documentary studies. The results of the research indicate that the implementation of the flagship tourism development policy at Lake Paisu Pok has achieved several achievements but still faces several challenges, such as a lack of supporting infrastructure, suboptimal coordination among relevant agencies, and ineffective tourism promotion and marketing. Based on these findings, it is recommended that local governments and various stakeholders improve coordination and cross-sectoral cooperation, enhance supporting infrastructure, and improve tourism promotion and marketing to enhance Lake Paisu Pok's attractiveness as a flagship tourism destination.

RESONANSI OBJEK WISATA DENGAN NILAI ERGO-IKONIK UNTUK PENGEMBANGUN BERKELANJUTAN

This research aims to complete or fill the research gap conducted by previous researchers related to sustainable tourism development. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey technique of 50 responses conducted during the April 2024 joint leave at the Belitung island tourist attraction. This research found that tiktok, natural, no additional costs, halal culinary are important points for tourists when deciding to travel. aligning tourist attraction development with these values, destinations can increase visitor satisfaction, preserve cultural and natural heritage, encourage local community involvement, and promote responsible and sustainable tourism practices. To achieve this resonance, tourist destination development should engage local stakeholders, adopt a place-based approach, apply ergonomic and eco-friendly design principles, authentically interpret cultural and natural heritage, and monitor and manage tourism impacts. The resonance of tourist attractions with ergo-iconic values can create meaningful tourism experiences and contribute to sustainable tourism development.

AbstractThe tourism industry is an important sector in national development. Bali is a province in Indonesia which is well known for having extraordinary tourism potential. Hotel is an accommodation facility that provides lodging facilities as well as food and beverage services which are commercial in nature and are growing rapidly. The beauty of the beaches in Bali can be an added value for the hotel itself and an attraction for tourists who will stay at that place. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of Product Differentiation, Digital Marketing and Pricing Policies on Tourist Decisions di The Compass Rose Ubud.The research location is The Compass Rose Ubud Bali. The method of determining the sample using the method purposive sampling. The sample of this research is consumers or customers who are aged 17 years and over as many as 110 respondents. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis.The results of the study show that product differentiation has a positive and significant effect on tourists' decisions at The Compass Rose Ubud. Digital marketing positive and significant effect on tourists' decisions The Compass Rose Ubud. Pricing policy has a positive and significant effect on tourist decisions. Product differentiation, digital marketing and price policy has a positive and significant effect on tourists' decisions The Compass Rose Ubud. Differentiation variables the product has the most dominant influence on tourists' decisions at The Compass Rose Ubud.

Comparison of the Use of Indonesian, Foreign Languages and Regional Languages in Naming Places in the Mataram Region

This research was motivated by the emergence of various names of places in the Mataram city area with names in foreign languages. On the one hand, the use of foreign languages aims to make it easier for foreign immigrants to understand places in Indonesia, but on the other hand, the use of foreign languages in the public sphere, in the form of advertising and promotion of goods and services, is under the pull of globalization/internationalization interests. Prestige or a sense of pride in using a foreign language is an interesting aspect to study further. This research aims to record the use of language in naming tourist and culinary attractions in the city of Mataram and see the dominance of language. Data was collected using the documentation method, then the data was analyzed using the content analysis method which includes data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Data is presented in the form of tables, diagrams and narrative text. Based on the results of the analysis, two linguistic features were found in naming places, namely monolingual and bilingual. The monolingual feature is divided into 57 foreign languages, 47 Indonesian languages, and 9 regional languages. Meanwhile, the form of the bilingual feature is divided into two, namely a combination of foreign languages and regional languages with 13 data and a combination of foreign language and Indonesian with 3 data.

GEOWISATA DAN WISATA EDUKASI: MERANCANG PAKET WISATA UNTUK KAWASAN RAWAN BENCANA

The government is currently focused on creating sustainable tourism destinations in disaster areas, with special attention given to developing geotourism as a form of educational tourism. This research aims to design educational tour packages with a geotourism theme specifically for disaster-prone areas. The study was conducted in the Tangkubanparahu Volcano disaster-prone area of North Bandung, using a combination of observations, interviews, and library documents. The data obtained was analyzed through descriptive and map analysis. The results of the research showed that geotourism has great potential as a theme for educational tourism packages in the Tangkubanparahu Volcano disaster-prone area. The 10 km route includes natural, cultural, and man-made tourist attractions which are supported by the availability of tour guides

Communist Prison Camps as Sites of Memory and Legacies of Dissent: Belene and Goli Otok in Bulgarian and Croatian Cultural Memory

This article investigates how two Communist forced labour camps, Belene in Bulgaria and Goli Otok in Croatia, became sites of memory and remain icons of political repression and state-organized torture. The article discusses how the public memory of the two camps has been shaped through vivid depictions in former inmates’ memoirs and in works of fiction. It analyzes recent debates about the preservation and institutionalization of these sites of memory and about what, whom, and how to commemorate. As a further step, it investigates how the camp sites have attracted visitors interested in so-called dark tourism. The article explores the creation of a literary tradition of memory by tracing the writings that have helped to establish Belene and Goli Otok as sites of memory of political repression in Bulgaria and Croatia, and it examines the processes involved in the construction of the physical sites as heritage sites and tourist attractions.

When tourism intersects traditional rural livelihoods: A case study on lagoon fishing in Thừa Thiên Huế Province, Vietnam

ABSTRACT Tourism development is an oft-touted strategy to enhance the livelihoods of local residents and reduce their dependence on resources. This study explores the determinants of lagoon fishermen’s participation in tourism-related activities and evaluates whether tourism is an alternative livelihood option for Thừa Thiên Huế Province, Vietnam. We employed propensity score matching to analyze the survey data from 265 households in the coastal area of the lagoon. Our study indicates that tourism cannot provide a sustainable livelihood for local residents if the locals forego their traditional livelihood practices and completely transform the region into a tourist attraction, even though it can contribute to increasing household income. Other factors, such as low levels of education and larger travel distances between the lagoons and existing tourist areas, are the primary barriers to fishermen participation in tourism. Finally, we analyzed the related policy and managerial implications to improve tourism and diversify the locals’ livelihoods.

Engaging Vernacularity and Identity Politics of Public Spaces to Promote Cultural Tourism: Art Festivals in Bandung, Indonesia

Public space has a vital role in defining the politics of identity. Art festivals in public spaces can increase the function of public spaces to negotiate cultural identity, characterized by vernacularity, and simultaneously use various local symbols and tourist attractions. This research discusses how art festivals in public spaces become a means for reconstructing cultural identity and promoting cultural tourism in Bandung City, Indonesia. This research employs qualitative research methods. Data collection is carried out through a literature study and field research using various approaches, including observations, interviews, and Focus Group Discussions with relevant stakeholders during JulyAugust 2023. Findings show that art festivals become a space where the politics of culture and cultural tourism meet different interests. At the same time, government policies appear to promote the preservation of vernacular culture and local traditions in order to improve tourism attractions. The paper concludes that the festivals serve as a significant place for cultural commodification, even if their primary goals are to celebrate cultural identity.

Sangbor Petroglyphs in Bavanat County, Southern Iran

During archaeological research, especially in the study of the historical and Islamic periods, the focus is on kings’ palaces, religious buildings and famous artists. Ordinary people are generally ignored. This means that all people of every social class should be studied to understand past societies. Petroglyphs are one of the most significant archaeological types of evidence to study ordinary people’s art and concerns. During an archaeological survey conducted by the author in Bavanat county, several petroglyphs were found in this area. Considering the importance of rock art in archaeology, anthropology, sociology, the history of art and rock art tourism, in this article, the petroglyphs of Sangbor that were discovered during the survey of Bavanat have been introduced. At this site several petroglyphs are identified on the rock outcrops in the area. Zoomorphs, anthropomorphs, geometric shapes, and unknown shapes are depicted. Petroglyphs were created by three methods: engraving, engraving-pounding and scratching. According to the amount of patination and weathering, the above petroglyphs were created during different periods. Natural factors such as rock erosion, wind and rain have gradually destroyed these rock art. In addition to preserving rock art sites like Sangbor, they can become a tourist attraction for rock art or cultural tourism.

Community-Based “Green Tourism” Development Strategy for Situ Gede Ecotourism in West Bogor Sub-district

Abstract The tourism industry is growing fast in developing countries but does not necessarily consider sustainability issues. In this regard, the concept of green tourism is a way to promote sustainable tourism development. This study was conducted in Situ Gede Ecotourism, Situ Gede Village, West Bogor District. This study aims to identify and analyse the characteristics of the landscape, examine people’s perceptions and preferences, and provide recommendations for strategies towards green tourism in Situ Gede. Data collection was carried out through field observations, interviews, questionnaires, FGDs, and literature studies. This study uses two analytical methods, namely perception and preference analysis and the analysis of three stages of strategy formulation. Based on the results of the study, Situ Gede has landscape characteristics, namely that the spatial layout and land of this tourist location are in urban residential areas. The main attraction at Situ Gede is the view and use of the lake and the Dramaga research forest. There is a Situ Gede tourism management community and several other communities that have the potential to play a role in tourism activities, and there is awareness to protect the lake and its surroundings. The community expects an increase in the economy with the development of tourism. Based on the results of the perception analysis, Situ Gede is included in the high category for the development of green tourism. The results of the IE matrix show that Situ Gede’s position is in quadrant II, which provides recommendations for strategies to develop and build the tourist attraction management, promotion, and partnership.

Agritourism in Extremadura, Spain from the Perspective of Rural Accommodations: Characteristics and Potential Development from Agrarian Landscapes and Associated Activities

The boom of rural tourism in Extremadura (Spain) has been promoted by different administrations, both national and European, through multiple initiatives carried out for several decades. However, it has been developed in a generic way, ignoring the potential of agricultural landscapes for the development of agritourism as a specific variety. Therefore, this research aims to know the opinion of rural lodging owners in order to understand how the activity can be reoriented towards a more specific one, taking advantage of the potential of this type of tourist attraction. For this purpose, information has been collected through surveys to these owners. By carrying out a statistical analysis and a territorial analysis, it is possible to know their socio-demographic structure, as well as the characteristics of the accommodations and other aspects related to the activities they offer to tourists. Following the analyses, characteristics such as age, level of education and sources of income were identified, revealing a lack of knowledge of agritourism. It was also discovered that many lodgings could offer agritourism activities due to the presence of farms and attractive landscapes for tourists. However, there was a lack of activities related to agriculture and livestock, which represents a missed opportunity for the development of agritourism. The territorial analysis showed patterns of activity supply in certain areas, suggesting the possibility of promoting the sustainable development of rural areas through the diversification of tourism activities. Perhaps the main conclusion that can be drawn is the need to take advantage of the attractive landscape and the presence of activity companies to promote the economic and social development of rural areas, contributing to the conservation of traditions and the fight against depopulation.

Structure of Social Forestry Service Area in Cenrana District, Maros Regency

Abstract Damaged road access, absence of markets in some villages, and lack of access to technology are challenges for forest communities in the Cenrana District. Optimising service centres in social forestry (SF) locations can support social forestry activities. Based on scalogram and gravity analysis, the structure of social forestry areas in the Cenrana Sub-district shows Limampoccoe Village as the sub-district level service centre, providing warehousing, commodity distribution, quality control, and packaging and branding services. Labuaja Sub-Village (Laiya Village), Malaka Sub-Village (Cenrana Baru Village), Bululohe Sub-Village (Rompegading Village), and Nahung Sub-Village (Labuaja Village) serve as commodity auction market locations, local trials, counselling, honey cultivation facilities, and processing technology for derivative products such as aren palm, candlenut, porang, and coffee. Road infrastructure and tourist attraction signposts are in Malaka Hamlet (Cenrana Baru Village). Conflicts in Labuaja Village require conflict resolution in social forestry management.

Green infrastructure as a factor of sustainable urban development: current status and prospects

Abstract The article reflects the results of the assessment of the current state and functioning of the green infrastructure of the urban environment. A thorough survey of the territory and a clear functional zoning were carried out. A study of the features of Landscaping and landscaping of urban forests was conducted and a whole range of issues related to the formation of a full-fledged environment for human recreation was identified. The research has established plants that can withstand high temperature conditions and low humidity, high levels of dust and gases in the air of the urban environment, soil compaction, etc. In the course of research, it was revealed that coniferous plants play a large role in the creation of decorative compositions. For a shaded lawn, special types of herbs are used that can do without direct sunlight. Local creators and artists can be involved in the creation of unusual forest art objects. This will create additional interest in visiting and contribute to the dissemination of information about the city and its attractions on social networks, creating an attractive tourist image. The improvement of the city’s forest area will create opportunities for organizing full-fledged recreation for urban residents, and will have a beneficial effect on their psychological and physical condition. Thus, a sufficient number of well-maintained public spaces have a positive effect on the physical and psycho-emotional health of a city dweller, on the effectiveness of his work.

Beach Cleaning Action Movement as an Effort to Create Environmentally Friendly Tourism on Kapu Beach, Kolaka Regency

Kolaka is one of the districts in Southeast Sulawesi. Kolaka Regency is a coastal area located in Southeast Sulawesi Province. Kolaka is like a hidden paradise on the west coast of Sulawesi Island. As a large area that borders the sea, namely Bone Bay to the west. Kolaka Regency has a coastline that stretches for 293.45 km, decorated with white sandy beaches, clear sea water. One potential that is worth paying attention to as a tourist destination is Kapu Beach, which is located in Kapu Village, Samaturu District, Kolaka Regency. However, currently, Kapu Beach is polluted with lots of plastic and organic waste scattered around and reducing the beauty of the beach. The method used in this activity is the observation method. The first stage that was carried out began with coordination with the local government and the management of Kapu Beach. The second stage, namely checking the condition of the tourist beaches that would be cleaned, as well as preparing paint for re-tightening the trees and aesthetic photo spots. The third stage, This stage carries out the process of cleaning the beach tourism environment and painting several photo spots. What is meant by the observation method is a way of collecting information from relevant data by observing. The result of this activity for the surrounding community is to build self-awareness for the community to care about the beach and coastal environment and also be aware of the dangers of environmental pollution, considering that the location where they live is on the coast of Kapu Village. Based on the results of the service carried out, the conclusion that can be drawn from the beach clean-up activity is that it was held smoothly and in accordance with the previously planned activity structure, and cleaning up rubbish at the tourist attraction was not easy, the large number of visitors not only had a positive impact on tourist attractions but there There is also a negative impact, namely, where a lot of plastic waste is found both around the gazebo and even on the coast, there is also a lot of waste used from visitors' food. It is important to maintain the cleanliness of the beach tourism environment so that it can be managed well and optimally.

MENINGKATKAN MINAT KUNJUNG ULANG WISATAWAN MELALUI PENERAPAN EXPERIENTAL MARKETING PADA OBJEK WISATA BUATAN DI BANDAR LAMPUNG

ABSTRACT Intention to revisit is an essential indicator for managers of tourist attractions, tourism activists, and tourism offices in a country. As we know, the income from the tourism sector is quite large for Indonesia and continues to grow. One kind of tourist attraction that could be develop is an artificial tourist attraction. One method to attract tourists that are widely developed is experiental marketing. This method was adopted in various provinces in Indonesia such as Bali, Bandung, and Yogyakarta, but unfortunately not yet in Lampung. This survey of 150 tourists used purposive sampling aims to see the effect of experiential marketing which included sense, feel, think, act, and related to the tourists' revisit intention in Lembah Hijau. Multiple regression and descriptive analysis showed that only thinking and relate affected tourists' revisit intentions. We found that with only a little research on experiential marketing in Indonesia, especially in Lampung Province, further development in terms of methods, analytical tools, and breadth of objects and subjects is widely open for the development of experiental marketing in the tourism sector of Indonesia and Lampung province of course.
