Figurative and Motivational Situations of the «Saryanov» Corpus of Russian Poetry

Figurative-motivic situations combine the consideration of frequency named entities with the motives assigned to them, which are repeated by different authors. This is how the patterns of the local text are formed. In this context, the figurative-motivic situations associated with the name of the artist Martiros Saryan are considered as one of the patterns of the Armenian text of Russian poetry. In the «Saryan» corpus collected by the authors of the article, two main figurative situations were identified: 1) epiphany, comprehension. It is implemented in two versions: a) the lyrical subject comprehends Saryan's work after seeing Armenia; b) the lyrical subject comprehends Armenia after getting acquainted with Saryan's work. This situation of comprehension is semantically central in the poems, because it illustrates the inner transformation of the lyrical subject, his transformation; 2) aging. It is realized simultaneously in two versions, projecting on life and on art: a) Saryan person grows old, he is mortal; 2) Saryan-creator, his art are timeless, immortal. This is a universal lyrical situation that develops eternal themes of life, death and art. Only the first situation refers to the formation of the Armenian text, emphasizing the necessary participation of Saryan in the comprehension of Armenia by a lyrical subject.

The Design of the Nusantara Quest Game on Mobile Platforms for the Cultural Arts Subject for Grade X Students

This research aims to design a mobile-based game called Nusantara Quest to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes in Arts Education for 10th-grade students. The educational game is developed using the Unity platform and follows the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The analysis phase involves studying student characteristics and material needs. During the design phase, game flow, user interface, and educational content are created. The development phase includes game creation and validation by media and content experts. Implementation involves trials with students from SMK Negeri 5 Sidrap, and the evaluation phase assesses the effectiveness of the game in improving student interest and understanding of Arts Education material. Pengaruh Media Pembelajaran Quizizz Berbasis Game Edukasi Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa dalam Mata Pelajaran Seni Budaya Kelas VII MTs PUI Ciawigebang

This study aims to determine the influence of the use of educational game based Quizizz learning media on student learning outcomes in the subject of Cultural Arts in grade VII MTs PUI Ciawigebang. The research method used is an experiment with a research design, namely a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely an experimental class consisting of 30 students using Quizizz learning media and a control class consisting of 30 students using conventional methods. The test statistics used for hypothesis testing are the Paired Sample T-Test. The results of data analysis showed that the average score of the pretest of the experimental class was 48.67 and the posttestwas 83.50, while the results of the control class pretest obtained a score of 53.67 and the posttest75.00. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a significant increase in student learning outcomes in the experimental class compared to the control class. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that there was an influence of the use of Quizizz learning media on the learning outcomes of grade VII students in the subject of Arts and Culture

Analyzing the Impact of Aesthetic Anthropology on Art Appreciation Through the Lens of Gestalt Psychology

Historically, art appreciation has been considered an elite activity, often requiring extensive knowledge and expertise. However, this perspective has evolved over time. This paper explores the innovative integration of anthropology and psychology with art, focusing on how these disciplines can make art more accessible to ordinary people. By applying Gestalt theory to everyday aesthetic activities, this study reveals how abstract concepts can become universal and relatable. Case studies of Antonio Canova's "Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss" and Picasso's "Bull" series show that viewers can understand and resonate with artistic themes even without extensive knowledge. Additionally, this paper examines how social and cultural contexts influence aesthetic experiences from the perspective of aesthetic anthropology, particularly "contextual aesthetics." The findings highlight the importance of removing barriers to art appreciation, encouraging active participation and subjective interpretation, and promoting inclusive and dynamic artistic expressions. The study also acknowledges the limitations of sample diversity and reliance on qualitative analysis, recommending that future research incorporate quantitative methods to obtain more reliable data.

플립러닝 교수법의 대학강의 적용에 대한 자문화기술지

Through autoethnography, this study conducted the process of transforming the stories of 'myself' experienced while applying the flipped learning teaching method liberal arts and food service majors at university . Through this process, I reflected on personal experience in a CLAC course and provided insight into its educational meaning and value. With this knowledge, this study focused on 'Pursuit of Flipped Learning Teaching Method', 'Performance of Flipped Learning Teaching Method', and 'Reflection on Flipped Learning Teaching Method' as an autobiographical participation timeline in the flipped learning teaching experience. In liberal arts and food service major classes , the jump learning teaching method was noted to improve battery thinking, problem solving, self-directed learning ability, resilience, capacity building, and cooperative learning. Development of an 'industry-academia-linked flipped learning teaching method' is needed to strengthen the cooperative technical skills and capabilities of food service majors, where improvement is only needed in actual field and scale. Furthermore, it is necessary to develop a flipped learning teaching model that includes strengthening basic learning skills for students who lack basic learning in liberal arts subjects.

The Interplay Between Art, Aesthetics and Politics in The Xyz Show

Artivism, a neologism of art and activism, has attracted the interest of scholars who have studied artivism in various popular art productions. The XYZ Show, the first animated Kenyan puppet comedy, has received fair attention; however, the nature of artivism in the show has not been consistently addressed. This study therefore interrogated The XYZ Show to determine how as a popular art production it engages art to ridicule various omissions and commissions of political leaders in Kenya. The interpretation is guided by Grace Musila’s model of reading popular art: Politics/Power/Agency, to corroborate the artistic aesthetics that make the show politically textured. The study is qualitative and it engages in textual analysis of purposively sampled episodes to explain the nature of artivism as depicted in the show. Videos of sampled episodes were watched and data was collected using structured observation checklists and analyzed using thematic content analysis. From the analysis of the data collected the study determined that The XYZ Show employs artistic strategies to speak truth to power. It uses allusion, allegory and imagery among other techniques to present events that are intelligible to the Kenyan audience with a view to satirizing government officials and the Kenyan political landscape. San Bushman Human–Lion Transformation and the “Credulity of Others”

Lion transformation, among San-Bushmen, is arguably the most dramatic and spectacular instance of animal transformation. Transformation is a central component of San curing and initiation ritual and of certain San hunting practices. Moreover, it is a recurrent theme in San mythology, art and cosmology, all of them domains of San expressive and symbolic culture that are pervaded by ontological mutability (manifested most strikingly in the therianthropes of San myth and art). Lion transformation is a phenomenon that has received much mention in the ethnographic literature on Khoisan ritual and belief, through information that is based not on first-hand but second- or third-hand ethnographic and ethno-historical information. In the paper, I describe my own eye-witness account of what San people deemed a lion transformation by a trance dancer, which I observed in my early field work among Ghanzi (Botswana) Naro and = Au//eisi San in the 1970s. This is followed by my own musings on the actuality or reality of lion transformation, from both my own perspective and from what I understand to be the indigenous perspective. In terms of the latter, lion transformation—and animal transformation in general—is a plausible proposition. Indigenous doubt and scepticism, deriving from a rarely if ever fully conclusive witnessing of such transformations, are assuaged in a number of epistemological, cosmological and phenomenological ways. These are not available to a Western cultural outsider with a Cartesian mindset, nor to a Westernized—and perhaps also Christianized—insider, whose cosmos has become “disenchanted” through historical–colonial and contemporary–acculturational influences.

Analysis of the Role of Teachers as Facilitators in Increasing Children's Creativity in Fine Arts Subjects at SDN 1 Senaru

This research aims to analyze the role of teachers as facilitators in increasing children's creativity in fine arts subjects. Creativity is an important aspect in children's development that can be developed through learning fine arts. This research was carried out at SDN 1 Senaru, Batuqok Hamlet, Senaru Village, Bayan District, North Lombok Regency. The object of the research is an analysis of the role of teachers as facilitators in increasing children's creativity in fine arts subjects in grade 5 elementary school. In this research, qualitative methods were used with a case study approach in several elementary schools. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that teachers who act as facilitators are able to create a learning environment that supports children's exploration and self-expression. Teachers give children the freedom to experiment with various art media and techniques, and encourage children to think critically and innovatively. In conclusion, the role of the teacher as a facilitator is very important in the fine arts learning process to develop children's creativity. Recommendations are provided for teacher training in implementing effective facilitation strategies.

Correspondence of Dinosaur Figure in Sculpture

Animal figures have been a subject of art for ages. However, dinosaurs, which are extinct animals, were included in art history relatively recently. The first fossils were discovered in the early 1800s in England, sparking increased interest in these creatures. Dinosaurs were introduced to art history through sculpture, with sculptures installed in public parks to depict their appearance. As a result, the image of dinosaurs was created through the art of sculpture and painting. This intersection of science and art has once again emphasized the importance of sculpture. The concept of dinosaurs permeates various aspects of our lives, from playgrounds to the film industry. This study endeavors to elucidate a topic that often eludes attention yet persists within the realm of sculpture art. Through this endeavor, the aim is to augment the scholarly discourse within the field.

Metaphysical Horizon in Wanda Dynowska's Indian Poems

The article concerns the works of literature published by the Polish poet Wanda Dynowska (1888-1971). The sacred theme, which is ubiquitous in her works, will be analysed and interpreted. As a writer, translator, social activist and promoter of Indian culture in Poland and Polish culture in India and Tibet, Dynowska was an extraordinary woman. She does not belong to the group of the most outstanding Polish poets such as Wisława Szymborska, Czesław Miłosz or Zbigniew Herbert, yet her poetry is definitely unique due to the subject matter that is hardly found in Polish literature and the empirical sources of her work. What is more, Dynowska came to India in 1935. The experience of living in Hindu culture had a tremendous impact on her poems. Therefore, her poems and essays were published thanks to Dynowska’s infatuation with Hindu culture, the writings of Krishnamurti and the spiritualism of Hinduism and Buddhism. The following works Mahayana Buddhism, On the subject of nature and art, Hindu poems were published thanks to the enterprise, which was funded by Wanda Dynowska and Maurycy Frydman. Indeed, they owed it to a Polish-Indian Library that was located in Madras. Surprisingly, only a few scholars such as Kazimierz Tokarski, Izabela Trzcińska and Ewa Dębicka-Borek scrutinised Dynowska’s poetry at that time. In this article the poems titled Where are you?, My path, Shiva's Night, Near and far are interpreted. Furthermore, the philosophy proclaimed by Mircea Eliade, Gerardus van der Leeuw and Rudolf Otto is intertwined with a novel analysis of the poems. In addition, Polish sacrologists such as Stefan Sawicki and Zofia Zarębianka had a major impact on interpreting Dynowska’s poetry. Consequently, the interpretation of the works shows that the sacred in the works of Wanda Dynowska is based on respect for the followers of each religion combining Christian, Buddhist and Hindu influences.

It is a driving force behind the founding principles of the nation and has inspired generations of immigrants and citizens alike. Through The Dream of America anyone can achieve their goals and create a better future for themselves and their loved ones. Throughout history, the American Dream has been a central theme in literature, art, and popular culture. It has been depicted as the ultimate goal to strive for, the beacon of hope in times of hardship, and the driving force behind countless success stories. The Dream of America has been a source of inspiration for millions of people around the world, who see the United States as a land of opportunity and a place where dreams can become reality. However, the American Dream is not without its critics. Many argue that it is an unattainable ideal that perpetuates inequality and social division. They point to the disparities in wealth, education, and opportunity that exist in American society and argue that the Dream of America is nothing more than a myth designed to keep people striving for an unattainable goal.

REPRESENTATION OF THE GOSPEL CODE IN THE NOVEL “GETTING INTO CHARACTERˮ BY H.L. OLDIE THROUGH THE PRISM OF SHAKESPEARE’S THEATRICAL METAPHOR

In the presented study the novel “Getting into Characterˮ (1991) by Henry Lyon Oldie (the pen name of Dmytro Hromov and Oleh Ladyzhens’ky) is considered as a part of Hamlet`s text of modern Russian-language literature. The peculiarities of the representation of the Gospel code of the novel are analysed. They are conditioned by the author’s concept of the artistic world, which assumes the recreation of reality according to the stage laws. It is established that the transformation of the Gospel code in the novel occurs at the level of the image system (Actor-Hamlet-Christ, mentor/Master-Messiah, pupil/apprentice-follower, stage word as Logos, theatre as religion, abyss as unrealised creative work), motif structure (motifs of mentoring, faith, salvation and resurrection of the soul). The ideological and thematic content of the artistic work is changed (the theme of art and its Creator, the problem of faith and faithlessness, the idea of redemption of human sins – the humanistic mission of the protagonist). It is determined by the theatricality as the most important category of the novel`s poetics, underlying the construction of the artistic reality of “Getting into Characterˮ. Special attention is paid to the representation of Shakespearean theatrical metaphor, as well as to the intertextual connection of H.L. Oldie’s novel with Shakespeare’s “Hamletˮ tragedy.

Penerapan Pendidikan Karakter Melalui Pembelajaran Seni Musik

Students who are intelligent and have good character start from the educational process carried out at school. Character education is very important to shape the personality of students so that they have good character in their lives. Character education is integrated in all subjects, especially in music art subjects. Students are expected to have a strong character through music art learning media. The problem in this study is how to implement character education through music art learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of character education through music art learning. The benefits of this research consist of theoretical and practical benefits, especially for art education practitioners in schools. This study uses qualitative research methods. The research objective is on the implementation of character education in music art learning. The data collection technique was carried out using observation techniques, interviews and documentation studies. The data validity technique uses data triangulation. The data analysis technique uses qualitative data analysis. The result of this study is that the instillation of the values of Cultural Education and Character of the Nation developed in the learning process of music art is not carried out separately, but these values are incorporated into the learning steps. In practice, the steps to learn music arts based on national character education are contained in certain slogans embraced by the school. The suggestion in this study is that teachers or those responsible for the selection process of regional songs and national songs in music ensemble learning should pay attention to the selection of songs so that they are easier to understand and the cultivation of character education can be achieved properly.

Penerapan Metode Kooperatif Tipe Learning Together Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Seni Budaya di SMAN 8 Denpasar

After conducting initial observations at SMK Negeri 8 Denpasar, it was discovered that the students' learning outcomes in cultural arts subjects were relatively low. Therefore, the researcher decided to conduct further study using the PTK (Classroom Action Research) approach method. The aim of implementing the PTK method was to enhance students' understanding of the cultural arts subject through a cooperative learning model known as "learning together," with the goal of improving student learning outcomes. The PTK method involved 2 cycles, with each cycle consisting of 4 stages. The research subjects were the 35 students of class XII Mipa-4 at SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar. Data was collected using performance assessment and observation methods. The collected data was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method, which aimed to examine the entire cultural arts learning process. Additionally, a qualitative method was applied to analyze the results of the assessment of student performance by comparing the average value of the completeness of learning outcomes. Following the analysis, it was observed that in cycle I, the highest and lowest scores for students of SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar class XII Mipa-4 were 85 and 60, respectively, with a class average score of 71. However, in cycle II, the highest and lowest scores increased to 95 and 80, and the class average score rose to 88. Furthermore, in cycle II, all students achieved scores above the minimum completeness level. This indicated a significant improvement in student scores from cycle I to cycle II.

Upaya Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Seni Rupa Peserta Didik Melalui Media Artsteps dalam Pembelajaran PJBL di Kelas XII IPA 5 SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar

The implementation of this research aims to analyze the PjBL learning model by implementing Artsteps media in fostering learning motivation of SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar class XII IPA-5 in the 2023/2024 school year in fine arts subjects. This research is a type of PTK with two cycles, each cycle involving 4 stages of research, namely, (a) planning stage; (b) implementation stage; (c) observation stage; and (d) reflection stage. The subjects in the study were students of SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar class XII IPA-5 which numbered 46 students. Then the methods applied by researchers in collecting research data include literature study, documentation, performance assessment, and observation. The method implemented in data analysis is a quantitative descriptive method, where quantitative methods are implemented to test student performance. Based on the test results that have been carried out in cycle I, the lowest and highest scores in SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar class XII IPA-5 are obtained, namely 60 and 90 with a mean learning outcome of 73. So the success rate of learning outcomes is 72%. Then in cycle II, the lowest and highest scores were obtained at 80 and 95 with a mean learning outcome of 89. Then the learning success rate reached 100%. This indicates that the motivation of students to learn in fine arts subjects has increased as evidenced by the existence of increasingly optimal learning outcomes.

On the Process of Writing Site-Specific Textual Choreography

This article addresses a process of writing textual choreography. The authors have developed a co-authored and co-embodied site-specific approach to choreography as writing. They introduce the method they have developed and tell the readers about the urban site in which they employed it. Most importantly they describe the process of co-writing through an approach inspired by phenomenological research and its conceptions of lived experience description and interpretation. With the article the authors aim to introduce features of their lived experience of site-specific collaborative writing, to discuss some of the specific characteristics of their approach to textual choreography and to offer insight for others developing approaches to site-specific, embodied and somatic forms of writing. An additional motif is that the authors want to participate in the movement of extending choreography into the realms poetic and creative writing that is an increasingly addressed theme in both dance art and its artistic research.

Application of STEEP and Interpretive Structural Modeling in the Design Imagery of Taiwan Public Ceramic Relief Murals

Ceramic relief mural is a contemporary landscape art that is carefully designed based on human nature, culture, and architectural wall space, combined with social customs, visual sensibility, and art. It may also become the main axis of ceramic art in the future. Taiwan public ceramic relief murals (PCRM) are most distinctive with the PCRM pioneered by Pan-Hsiung Chu of Meinong Kiln in 1987. In addition to breaking through the limitations of traditional public ceramic murals, Chu leveraged local culture and sensibility. The theme of art gives PCRM its unique style and innovative value throughout the Taiwan region. This study mainly analyzes and understands the design image of public ceramic murals, taking Taiwan PCRM’s design and creation as the scope, and applies STEEP analysis, that is, the social, technological, economic, ecological, and political-legal environments are analyzed as core factors; eight main important factors in the artistic design image of ceramic murals are evaluated. Then, interpretive structural modeling (ISM) is used to establish five levels, analyze the four main problems in the main core factor area and the four main target results in the affected factor area; and analyze the problem points and target points as well as their causal relationships. It is expected to sort out the relationship between these factors, obtain the hierarchical relationship of each factor, and provide a reference basis and research methods.

“Lost in Flowers & Foolery”: A Gendered Reading of the 9th Earl of Devon’s Flower Watercolors

William Courtenay, 3rd Viscount Courtenay and 9th Earl of Devon (1768–1835), has been most remembered for his romantic relationship with author and slave owner, William Beckford (1760–1844), which scandalized London society in 1784. However, the 9th Earl’s life after this event has received little attention despite his artistic contributions to the built environment of his ancestral home of Powderham Castle in Devon. In the 1790s, he created a series of flower watercolors on paper and cabinets under the supervision of his drawing master, William Marshall Craig (c.1765–1827). These artworks complicate ideas about gendered expectations of amateur artistic subjects, with flower painting being largely understood as a feminine accomplishment. This article explores the Earl’s watercolors in the context of the spaces at Powderham to argue they are evidence of his effeminate behavior and participation in female activities alongside his thirteen sisters. The association of these objects with a man attracted to those of his own sex contribute to studies of queerness, amateur art, and the country house in the late eighteenth century.

Programmable Analogue Drawing Machines, 1952–2023

Abstract The author discusses his work creating programmable, generative analogue drawing machines over six decades in the context of the constructivist tradition and influenced by the Bauhaus German art school and the subsequent art, science, and technology movement. During the first three decades he developed a variety of machines and from 1990 followed a more analytical approach focusing on randomness, chaos, and subjectivity in art. This progressed to the author’s PhD research program wherein he investigated innovative analogue programming systems that employed direct current motors, linkages, and cranks together with programmers, actuating motors for a variety of timed pulses. These enabled variables such as pen-lift and rotation, forward/reverse pen action, light drawing, sine waves, turntable and drum machines, and versions of X:Y plotters.

ANALYSIS OF THE USE OF NATURAL MATERIALS IN CONTEMPORARY ART

The use of natural materials has been the subject matter researched on for contemporary art, looking into a new trend of artists using organic elements in independent pieces. As well as a wider set of insights into the drivers behind this shift, how artists go about it and its broader society-wide implications. Based on a qualitative methodology —combining content analysis of works, interviews with the artists and art curators; literature study—the research examines how natural materials are moving beyond ornamentation to become inseparable from artworks—frequently pointing out environmental issues.The results imply that ephemerality is a concept of relevance to many modern artists, using ephemeral natural resources and creating works which change, rot or disappear. This shift represents a larger cultural pressure to acknowledge the temporary, precarious qualities of human beingness that threaten resistant notions of high/low art or "the true and enduring." The research also explores how such work frequently relates to issues of time, environmental sustainability and human-nature relations that tend to constitute a form of ecocentric praxis.This conversation moves between the pragmatic and ethical dilemmas concerning natural materials, from attempting to make eco-friendly art and balancing that tension with practice-based logistics. The study finds that using natural materials has become a major theme in contemporary art, giving new grounds for the re-interpretation of arts and environmental cultural studies. The research also calls for investigation of the potential use of natural substrates in other cultural contexts and ethical approaches.
