Visual Communication Method of Multi-Frame Film and Television Special Effects Images Based on Deep Learning

In the view of art form change, there is a perspective problem in the detail part of multi-frame film and television special effects (TSEs) images in the special effects rendering module, which leads to the greater ambiguity of multi-frame film and TSEs images. In order to advance the talent of identifying the detail structures and characteristics of multi-frame film and TSEs images, a visual communication technology of multi-frame film and TSEs images in the view of art form change grounded on deep learning is suggested. The transmission relation model of detail characteristics of multi-frame film and TSEs images in the field of artistic form change is constructed, and the attenuation treatment of detail action special effects of multi-frame film and TSEs images in the field of artistic form change is carried out with the assistance of deep learning approaches. The detailed information and color of multi-frame film and TSEs images are obtained by using prior map knowledge instead of rendering basic color. Over the technique of filtering and preserving, the multi-frame film and TSEs images are directed to screen the detailed feature quantity of the input film and TSEs images in the field of artistic form change. In addition, the Sobel operator is practiced to perceive the scrawny edge information of multi-frame film and TSEs images, and block fitting interpolation and depth filtering analysis are used in the edge area to realize the visual communication and color feature parameter identification and amplification of multi-frame film and TSEs images in the field of artistic form change, so as to improve the fuzzy enhancement of multi-frame film and TSEs images. The test results and results indicate that the average Peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) of the proposed method is about 37.7166[Formula: see text]dB, which is 49.08% and 52.08% higher than the PSNRs of the Harris method and SUFR method, respectively. It has been confirmed that this scheme can successfully solve the edge blurring and distortion problems of multi-frame movies and image images in the field of art form change.

High-quality multimodal MRI with simultaneous EEG using conductive ink and polymer-thick film nets.

Objective
Combining magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and electroencephalography (EEG) provides a powerful tool for investigating brain function at varying spatial and temporal scales. Simultaneous acquisition of both modalities can provide unique information that a single modality alone cannot reveal. However, current simultaneous EEG-fMRI studies are limited to a small set of MRI sequences due to the image quality and safety limitations of commercially available MR-conditional EEG nets. We tested whether the Inknet2, a high-resistance polymer thick film (PTF) based EEG net that uses conductive ink, could enable the acquisition of a variety of MR image modalities with minimal artifacts by reducing the RF-shielding caused by traditional MR-conditional nets.

Approach
We first performed simulations to model the effect of the EEG nets on the magnetic field and image quality. We then performed phantom scans to test image quality with a conventional copper EEG net, with the new Inknet2, and without any EEG net. Finally, we scanned five human subjects at 3 Tesla (3T) and three human subjects at 7 Tesla (7T) with and without the Inknet2 to assess structural and functional MRI image quality.

Main results
Across these simulations, phantom scans, and human studies, the Inknet2 induced fewer artifacts than the conventional net and produced image quality similar to scans with no net present.

Significance
Our results demonstrate that high-quality structural and functional multimodal imaging across a variety of MRI pulse sequences at both 3T and 7T is achievable with an EEG net made with conductive ink and polymer thick film technology.&#xD.

Preparation and Performance Study of Zinc Dibenzyl Dithiocarbamate Self‐Assembled Film on Electrodeposited Cu–Ni Alloy Surface

ABSTRACTThis study developed a green and efficient surface protection method for Cu–Ni alloys. A zinc dibenzyl dithiocarbamate film was prepared on the surface of electrodeposited Cu–Ni alloys using the self‐assembly method to improve the material's corrosion resistance in seawater. The influence of zinc dibenzyl dithiocarbamate concentration and self‐assembly time on the corrosion resistance of the self‐assembled films was investigated through electrochemical testing. The findings revealed that at a zinc dibenzyl dithiocarbamate concentration of 10 mmol/L and a self‐assembly time of 20 min, the self‐assembled film exhibited the most robust corrosion resistance, achieving a maximum corrosion inhibition efficiency of 97.70%. The self‐assembly and adsorption mechanism of zinc dibenzyl dithiocarbamate were explored using molecular dynamics simulations and adsorption isotherms. The protective effect of self‐assembled films was visually observed through salt spray testing. Zinc dibenzyl dithiocarbamate self‐assembled film technology has high application prospects in the field of marine anti‐corrosion.

Comprehensive evaluation of bioavailable phosphorus in biochar synthesized by co-pyrolysis of sewage sludge and straw ash

The world's phosphorus (P) resources are gradually depleting. Sewage sludge is an important secondary P resource, and sludge-derived biochar for land use is an effective way to achieve P recovery. However, P in biochar synthesized by direct pyrolysis of sludge usually shows comparatively low bioavailability. In this study, biomass ash from different types of straw was used as an additive for co-pyrolysis with sludge. The distribution of different P fractions in the obtained co-pyrolyzed biochar was investigated. The P bioavailability of the co-pyrolyzed biochar was comprehensively evaluated by three methods, including chemical extraction, diffusive gradients in thin films (DGT) technology and pot experiments. The results indicate that the bioavailable P in co-pyrolyzed biochar is significantly positively correlated with the contents of K, Ca, and Mg elements in straw ash, which facilitate the transformation of P in sludge into forms that are more easily utilized by plants, including monetite (CaHPO4), hydroxyapatite (Ca5(PO4)3OH) and pyrocoproite (K2MgP2O7). Moreover, pot experiments show that the P contents in ryegrass shoots and roots cultivated in co-pyrolyzed biochar-added soils increased by 11.98–114.97 % and 28.90–69.70 %, respectively, compared to the control soil. The DGT technology could better reflect the uptake of P by plants with a Pearson correlation coefficient as high as 0.94. This study provides references for P resource recovery, and the collaborative reutilization of sewage sludge and straw ash.

The subject of the analysis of this article is the foreign trip and stay in France of Oleksandr Dovzhenko and Yuliia Solntseva in the summer of 1930 and the probable stay of Dovzhenko himself in Paris in 1932. The analysis is written on the basis of articles and reviews, most of which have appeared in the French film press in 1930–1931. The article is aimed at the describing a little-known information about Dovzhenko’s stay in France. The author also is trying to and to submit his exclusive assumptions about his probable second visit to the City of Light in 1932. During his visit Dovzhenko has been accompanied by Parisians Yevhen Deslav and Leonid Mohylevskyi, as well as the artist Mykola Hlushchenko. The description contains a number of events – visits to film studios for the study of sound film technologies, proposals for the production of a French-Ukrainian film, screenings of his films in his presence in the Studio 28 cinema, meetings in the Montparnasse district with leading French filmmakers and with Ukrainian artists of the so-called Paris School, contacts with the former colleagues of the Ukrainian People’s Republic, a probable trip to Amsterdam planned with Deslav. The article contains two hitherto unheard-of reports about Dovzhenko’s second trip to France. The first is based on Yevhen Deslav’s annotation: “I’ve met Dovzhenko in Paris somewhere in 1932 (sic), where he comes to study sound cinema”. The second is the photo of Dovzhenko, posing in the photo salon to the French photographer and film director Elie Lothar. This is the fact, strengthening the hypothesis of the master’s repeated presence in Paris in 1932.

Influence of the edge effect of the solenoid magnetic field on the discharge process of magnetron sputtering in long and narrow chambers

The fourth-generation light source or future particle accelerators have compact vacuum systems, resulting in a small flow conductance of the beam chamber. The development of NEG (Non-Evaporable Getters) films technology with distributed pumping is a good solution. This technology can obtain a pressure distribution with a small pressure gradient and an ultra-high vacuum of 10-8 Pa inside the vacuum chambers. In the magnetron sputtering process for NEG coating, the inhomogeneity of the magnetic field at the edge of the solenoid is a key parameter for affecting the stability of the magnetron sputtering discharge process. The influence mechanism of the edge magnetic field on the plasma discharge process and discharge uniformity was studied to optimize the coating parameters, which is very important. The Particle-In-Cell/Monte Carlo Collision (PIC/MCC) method was employed to simulate plasma discharge in a narrow vacuum chamber under various edge magnetic field conditions. The potential distribution, charged particle density distribution, and particle density distribution on the target were acquired for four sets of discharge parameters, followed by data processing and analysis. The electric field distribution during the discharge process is closely linked to the non-uniformity of the magnetic field at the solenoid's edge. The smaller Br (the radial component of the magnetic field) component of the magnetic field, the more uniform distribution of Ar+ on the target surface, and the smaller the difference along the length of the vacuum chamber. A smaller radial component (Br) of the magnetic field results in a more uniform distribution of Ar+ on the target surface and reduces variations in film thickness along the length of the vacuum chamber. This is attributed to the small distance between the inner wall of the vacuum chamber and the cathode target. The change in the edge magnetic field will result in the rapid migration of electrons to the inner wall of the vacuum chamber and insufficient collision with the discharge gas, making it challenging to sustain the discharge process. Moreover, fluctuations in the edge magnetic field of the solenoid induce gradient drift and curvature drift in charged particles, resulting in rapid electron loss and alterations in the density and potential distribution of charged particles at the ends of the vacuum chamber, ultimately leading to discharge instability. The research results show the importance of the edge magnetic field effect on the magnetron sputtering coating of the slender vacuum chambers, which provides an important reference for the segmented coating process of similar vacuum chambers in future accelerators.

Optimization of Chinese film and television communication technology in Portuguese-speaking areas under the application of digital Internet of Things

With the continuous change and progress of the world system, cultural communication has become a vital topic in today's society. This study aims to optimize the communication effect of Chinese film in Portuguese-speaking countries and promote the development of cultural communication in China through deep learning (DL) technology. First, this study utilizes DL technology to design film feature recognition and classification models to provide technical support for Chinese film communication. Second, by exploring the principle, development, and function of the digital Internet of Things, the study analyzes the evolution and spread of Chinese film in Portuguese-speaking countries and uses the Bayes algorithm to optimize the model. The results show that the calculation time of the designed model is shorter and the accuracy is higher, which offers an important reference for the effective communication of Chinese films in Portuguese-speaking countries. Hence, this study not only provides technical support for the improvement of the international communication effect of Chinese film but also contributes to the development of cultural communication in China.

Exploration of the Historical and Social Significance of One of the First Cinematographic Devices Based on Gender Roles in the Andalusian Environment

In 1914, El Noticiero Sevillano and other Spanish newspapers published a piece about the Cinémhymen, a cinematographic device designed to capture and sell images of prospective wives. This article explores why this advertisement was not considered derogatory and examines the construction of a patriarchy during a time when the term “feminist” was already appearing in the Spanish press. In our methodology, we analyzed the name of the device and the business, both based on the word Hymen, used a bibliographic review of Spanish feminism of those years, and researched the film technology of the time. The Manzano’s pyramid of oppression served us in establishing the control operations underlying the advertisement. Our study reveals the patriarchal principles of Cinémhymen, which stigmatized women once they conformed to the expected role. The objectifying gaze present in Cinémhymen provides insight into the progression of patriarchy in a visual world that subjugates women. The camera could see through the female masquerade (as Joan Rivière explained) and explore the “true” body underneath, the very core of the female (or what is considered to be). In some ways, Cinémhymen serves as a precursor to the current subjugation seen in online pornography and represents a distorted evolution of the panopticon principle as applied to women.

Are Sulfide‐Based Solid‐State Electrolytes the Best Pair for Si Anodes in Li‐Ion Batteries?

AbstractThe integration of Si‐based anodes within sulfide‐based solid electrolyte (SSE) Li‐ion batteries (LIB) has emerged as a promising avenue of research and development, attracting increasing interest in recent years. This work comprehensively examines the latest research directions and major strides in this field. It covers the key advances in the design and engineering of nano‐ and micro‐structured Si anode architectures, and strategies of surface modification. Additionally, it explores the impacts of external pressure, the role of binders and conductive additives, and the implications of varying Si particle size. Beyond providing a detailed account of the evolution of Si anodes within SSE LIBs, this work also identifies critical research challenges that urgently need addressing. These include the electrochemical‐mechanical evolution behavior and failure mechanism of Si anodes in SSE LIBs, strategies for structural and interface modifications, methods for preparing Si electrodes, advancements in high‐performance SSEs, and the development of scalable technologies for SSE thin films. Moreover, it discusses high‐energy cathodes tailored for Si‐based SSE LIBs. The identified research priorities are set to offer crucial guidance and insights, supporting the ongoing investigations and innovations in this dynamic area of research.

Development of Smart Hydroponics System using AI-based Sensing

This paper proposes a smart hydroponic system that operates automatically using a fuzzy logic algorithm, integrating IoT functionalities to support smart agriculture. The system allows for remote monitoring and control via the internet, providing real-time data on water levels, pH levels, temperature, and nutrient solution temperature. Precise dosing and temperature control are critical for optimal plant growth, and the system schedules temperature measurements to ensure stability. Unstable temperature can affect pH levels, thereby impacting nutrient absorption. The proposed system employs sensors to continuously monitor the electrical conductivity (EC) and pH levels of the nutrient solution. Fuzzy control is utilized to regulate the nutrient solution pump, automatically adjusting EC and pH levels to promote optimal plant growth. This approach reduces the time burden on producers and provides more precise control over the nutrient solution, resulting in improved growth outcomes. The main contributions of this work are as follows: the development and implementation of an AI-based system integrating a controller, IoT environment, fuzzy logic algorithm, and NFT (nutrient film technology) hydroponics; the creation of a user-friendly interface for farmers through the Smart-Hydroponic application, enabling hybrid monitoring and control of hydroponic farms; the establishment of an IoT-based cloud environment for sensor data monitoring; the implementation of a smart hydroponic system for nutrient sensing, monitoring, and control; and a comparative analysis between smart and conventional hydroponics based on morphological results.

Investigation of structural, morphological, optical and electronic properties of Cu-doped PbS thin films: a comparative experimental and theoretical study

Thin film technology has emerged as a cornerstone in optoelectronics, enabling the fabrication of compact, lightweight devices with enhanced performance and efficiency through precise control of the nanoscale thicknesses of functional materials. The current study explores the impact of copper (Cu) doping (3.125%, 6.25%, and 12.5%) on lead (Pb) sites in PbS to examine the structural, morphological, electronic, optical, and thermoelectric characteristics, employing both experimental and theoretical approaches. Polycrystalline thin films of PbS are deposited by spin coating technique on glass substrates. The XRD study discloses the cubic crystal structure of pristine and Cu-doped PbS with nominal variation in d-spacing. Surface morphological investigations reveal that Cu-doping transforms the coffee beans like grains to nanoplates that significantly affect the surface homogeneity and porosity. The tuning of band structure in the visible range, 1.64–2.21 eV is witnessed in the band structure analysis. Moreover, the experimental results are complemented by a theoretical study using WIEN2k software. Theoretical study exhibits the direct bandgap nature and with the incorporation of Cu, it increases from 0.89 to 2.11 eV. The density of states spectra for Cu-doped PbS exhibits strong hybridization between p-states of Pb and S, and d-states of Cu. Optical findings demonstrate significant variations in the absorption spectrum, which result in modifications in the optical energy band gap and peculiar optical parameters of doped samples. At room temperature, the increase in electrical conductivity (σ/τ) from 0.2 × 1020 (Ω.m.s)−1 for PbS to 0.3 × 1020, 3.1 × 1020 and 7.8 × 1020 (Ω.m.s)−1, thermal conductivity from 0.25 × 1014 W m.K.s−1 to 0.30 × 1014, 2.4 × 1014 and 5.2 × 1014 W m.K.s−1 and decrease in Seebeck coefficient from 72 to 35, 13 and 8 μV/K with the inclusion of Cu up to 3.125, 6.25 and 12.5% offer the potential for advancing thermoelectric technology. This could lead to improved efficiency and practical utilization in energy harvesting and waste heat recovery.

Optimal Composition of the Sby(S1−x,Sex)3 Ternary Absorber for High Efficiency Solar Cells

Solar cells based on Sb2(S1−x,Sex)3 ternary compounds have shown the highest reported efficiency value compared to their Sb2Se3 and Sb2S3 counterparts in antimony chalcogenide technology. However, the reported record efficiencies for these new emergent solar cells are still well below the theoretical values according to their bandgap value or for the traditional solar cells in the thin film technology. This article presents an analysis regarding the optimal composition that guarantees an increase in efficiency in the manufacture of Sby(S1−x,Sex)3 solar cells, as well as the proposal of a new synthesis method that allows obtaining the ternary compound with the calculated optimal composition. From theoretical considerations, a composition of Sb1.85(S0.63,Se0.42)3 is obtained. This composition is equivalent to optimal values Se/(S + Se) = 0.4 and Sb/(S + Se) = 0.88. The results of the new proposed synthesis method are presented and discussed.

Indepth doping assessment of thick doped GaAs layer by scanning spreading resistance microscopy

Scanning spreading resistance microscopy (SSRM) measurements were performed on GaAs thick films grown by hydride vapor phase epitaxy technology under different growth conditions to evaluate their carrier concentrations. For this purpose, a calibration curve was established based on a multilayer staircase structure grown by molecular beam epitaxy. The dopant calibration range measured by secondary ion mass spectrometry is from 5 × 1016 to 1019 cm−3. An abnormal phenomenon in the calibration process was explained by taking into account the parasitic parallel resistance of the calibration samples. Finally, the calibration curve was used to quantitatively analyze the carriers inside the Zn doping p-type GaAs film from 4 × 1016 to 1018 cm−3 range. We demonstrate here the applicability of SSRM to the in-depth analysis of thick epilayers, providing new inputs for the control of thick film technologies.

Interplay between Topological States and Rashba States as Manifested on Surface Steps at Room Temperature.

The unique spin texture of quantum states in topological materials underpins many proposed spintronic applications. However, realizations of such great potential are stymied by perturbations, such as temperature and local fields imposed by impurities and defects, that can render a promising quantum state uncontrollable. Here, we report room-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy observation of interaction between Rashba states and topological surface states, which manifests local electronic structure along step edges controllable by the layer thickness of thin films. The first-principles theoretical calculation elucidates the robust Rashba states coexisting with topological surface states along the surface steps with characteristic spin textures in momentum space. Furthermore, the Rashba edge states can be switched off by reducing the thickness of a topological insulator Bi2Se3 to bolster their interaction with the hybridized topological surface states. The study unveils a manipulating mechanism of the spin textures at room temperature, reinforcing the necessity of thin film technology in controlling the quantum states.

Preparation of high-performance multilayer circuits by controlling the diffusion of Ag in borosilicate glass-ceramics through the addition of SiO2

Due to its superior reliability and performance, thick film technology is extensively employed in various applications, including automotive electronics, consumer electronics, communication engineering, and aerospace. However, a challenge arises from the mutual diffusion during the electronic paste production process, which leads to a decline in insulation performance and hinders the production of three-dimensional equipment. Inspired by the principles of low-temperature co-fired ceramic technology, a multi-layered ceramic structure has been successfully bonded using thick film technology by introducing a borosilicate glass-ceramics layer. To further enhance the properties of this multi-layered ceramic structure, approximately 8 wt% SiO2 was incorporated into the borosilicate glass-ceramics. This addition effectively inhibits silver diffusion and reduces the diffusion depth within the glass-ceramic film. The key mechanisms behind this improvement are the increased activation energy for crystallization, resulting in a slower crystallization rate due to the addition of SiO2. Moreover, the multi-layered ceramic with a sandwich structure exhibits remarkable properties. Notably, the dielectric strength of this system has been significantly enhanced to 13.9 kV/mm, accompanied by a high adhesion strength of 790 N. These enhanced properties of the optimized system indicate promising characteristics for multi-layer circuit applications.

Aesthetic Grounds and Practice of Screen Adaptations of Theatrical Productions in the Light of Film and Television Language in the 1970s

The aesthetic grounds and methods of screen adaptation of theatrical performances in the context of film and television art in the USSR in the 1970s are investigated in the article as well as the influence of film and television technologies on the theatrical genre, the peculiarities of the adaptation of stage performances to the cinematographic and television environment. Attention is also paid to the revealing the peculiarities of cinematographic art as a synthetic phenomenon and its interaction with the theatrical tradition. These issues are considered in the context of the cultural and political realities of the USSR of that period, highlighting the relationship between aesthetic searches and ideological attitudes of the era. In general, a deep and systematic understanding of the process of film adaptation of theatrical performances within the framework of Soviet cinema and television art of the 1970s is submitted in the article. Since the films of this period become a time of development of existential problems of human life. The typical life of a Soviet person recedes into the background, instead, the basis of the plot becomes the search for peace of the soul, its urges for freedom, which usually unfolds against the background of something insignificant. Unlike the adaptations of literary works, when ”current ideological content” is imposed on classical original sources, adaptations of the best plays of leading Ukrainian theaters have offered perfect art, introduced a wide audience to the achievements of stage masters. But the screen adaptation of the performance is a fixation of one staging, which, of course, is shown unchanged on movie screens. The play cannot remain as it is conceived from the very beginning, and therefore gradually it has started to transform itself according to the requirements of television.
