Smart Classroom in the Era of Education Informatization 2.0

The advent of the era of education informatization 2.0 has brought challenges and opportunities to the educational technology work of colleges and universities. As an important part of education informatization, smart classroom has an important theoretical framework and technical support system. This paper analyzes the characteristics of the era of education informatization 2.0, discusses the concept and importance of smart classrooms, and compares them with traditional classrooms. At the same time, through innovative practices and case studies, the innovative achievements and effect evaluation of educational technology work in colleges and universities are demonstrated. In addition, this paper also introduces the technical support system of the smart classroom, including the functions and architecture of the smart education platform, and the application of big data, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and mobile learning Xi in the smart classroom. Finally, this paper looks forward to the future-oriented development trend of educational technology in colleges and universities, and puts forward suggestions for the development of smart classrooms and the future prospects of educational technology work in colleges and universities.

Information Potential of a Corpus of Scientific Texts

The article considers publicly available corpus of texts presented in the internet, characterises and considers the potential of corpus linguistics for analysing the development of scientific trends, discourse and changes in the field of terminology. A dataset based on a corpus of texts of scientific articles in a petroleum transport trade journal and the Google Books Corpus is presented. The dataset allows us to examine changes in term usage frequencies from 1940 to 2019.The results of analyses of term usage frequencies are presented, and a comparison is made between changes in the technology industry and the development of key vocabulary. The results show that studies made using data from corpuses of scientific and technical texts have good potential for understanding trends in technological development and the dynamics of change in industry and terminology.

Effect of Nb-Ti Microalloyed Steel Precipitation Behavior on Hot Rolling Strip Shape and FEM Simulation.

Strip shape control is a hotspot and challenge in strip rolling, where the development trend of rolling technology is towards high strength, high toughness, and a large width-to-thickness ratio. The influence of material microstructure evolution on strip shape control is being increasingly emphasized. In this paper, a Nb-Ti microalloyed steel is taken as the research object. Thermodynamic and kinetic models focusing on the precipitation of the austenite phase are established to quantify the precipitation process. A coupled model of rolls and strips is built using ABAQUS 2022 software, where the precipitation strengthening model and high-temperature constitutive model are embedded into the finite element model (FEM) through subroutines. A two-dimensional alternating differential model is employed to acquire real-time temperature differences in the width direction of the strip. The effects of precipitation inclusion and exclusion on the strip crown under different operating conditions are compared and analyzed. The results indicate that as the temperature decreases, the strengthening effect increases, reaching around 40 MPa at temperatures above 1000 °C and 96.6 MPa at 800 °C. Furthermore, the inclusion of crown in the precipitation consideration is more sensitive to overall temperature changes, but as the strip width decreases, the sensitivity of crown to temperature decreases. The research findings of this paper provide guidance for improving strip shape control and reducing abnormalities during the rolling process.

Plasma Technology for Advanced Electrochemical Energy Storage.

"Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality" is an important strategic goal for the sustainable development of human society. Typically, a key means to achieve these goals is through electrochemical energy storage technologies and materials. In this context, the rational synthesis and modification of battery materials through new technologies play critical roles. Plasma technology, based on the principles of free radical chemistry, is considered a promising alternative for the construction of advanced battery materials due to its inherent advantages such as superior versatility, high reactivity, excellent conformal properties, low consumption and environmental friendliness. In this perspective paper, we discuss the working principle of plasma and its applied research on battery materials based on plasma conversion, deposition, etching, doping, etc. Furthermore, the new application directions of multiphase plasma associated with solid, liquid and gas sources are proposed and their application examples for batteries (e. g. lithium-ion batteries, lithium-sulfur batteries, zinc-air batteries) are given. Finally, the current challenges and future development trends of plasma technology are briefly summarized to provide guidance for the next generation of energy technologies.

Application status and development trend of intelligent sensor technology in the electric power industry

AbstractWith the rapid development of digital technologies such as intelligent control and information communication, digitization has gradually become an inevitable trend to promote technology innovation and industrial upgrading for the power grid. As the basis of digital technology, digital sensing technology will gradually penetrate all aspects of the power system for comprehensive perception and high operational reliability. First, this article introduces the application status and technical requirements of power intelligent sensor technology in various aspects of the power system, including the generation, transmission, transformation, distribution, and consumption of electricity. Next, domestic and foreign scholars' latest research achievements in power sensing technology are described from three major aspects, that is, optical fiber sensing technology, MEMS sensing technology, and sensor self‐powered technology. Finally, future challenges for the electric power intelligent sensors are discussed and an outlook of future widespread application in the clean, safe, and efficient digital power grid is provided.

A Cross-Citation-Based Model for Technological Advancement Assessment: Methodology and Application

Assessing technological advancements is crucial for the formulation of science and technology policies and making well-informed investments in the ever-evolving technology market. However, current assessment methods are predominantly geared towards mature technologies, limiting our capacity for a systematic and quantitative evaluation of emerging technologies. Overcoming this challenge is crucial for accurate technology evaluation across various fields and generations. To address this challenge, we present a novel approach that leverages bibliometrics, specifically paper citation networks, to gauge shifts in the flow of knowledge throughout the technological evolution. This method is capable of discerning a wide array of trends in technology development and serves as a highly effective tool for evaluating technological progress. In this paper, we showcase the accuracy and applicability of this approach by applying it to the realm of mobile communication technology. Furthermore, we provide a comparative analysis of its quantitative results with other conventional assessment methods. The practical significance of our model lies in providing a nuanced understanding of emerging technologies within a specific domain, enabling informed decisions, and fostering strategic planning in technology-oriented fields. In terms of originality and value, this model serves as a comprehensive tool for assessing technological progress, quantifying emerging technologies, facilitating the evaluation of diverse technological trajectories, and efficiently informing technology policy-making processes.

Trends in Development of Aptamer-Based Biosensor Technology for Detection of Bacteria.

The contamination of food by bacterial pathogens represents a substantial hazard for human and animal health. Therefore, considerable effort is focused on the development of effective methods for monitoring food safety. A current trend in this field is the development of biosensors that can be used in remote food laboratories and even in farms to check food contamination prior to its delivery to consumers or its further processing in the food industry. Among receptors that can recognize proteins or lipopolysaccharides (LPS) on bacterial surfaces, aptamers play an important role. An aptamer consists of a single strand of DNA or RNA that folds into a 3D structure when placed in a solution, forming a binding site for the target. This chapter presents an overview of recent achievements in bacterial pathogen detection through the development of electrochemical, optical, and acoustic biosensors based on DNA aptamers. Thus far, these biosensors exhibit good sensitivity and selectivity, comparable with conventional methods currently used in food laboratories. However, these biosensors offer several advantages over conventional methods: they are of low cost, easier to handle, and respond more quickly. Biosensor technology is therefore an important tool for monitoring food safety.

Research on the application of digital media technology in museum exhibition design: A case study of the national museum of Singapore

There is a profound transformation in museum exhibition design. The ubiquitous digital media technology is driving the rapid evolution and development of museums. This trend is particularly evident in the need for diverse presentation methods to facilitate a high level of interaction and integration between audiences and exhibits. This research aims to explore the application of digital media technology in museum exhibition design, with the National Museum of Singapore as the research object. Through an in-depth examination of the digitalized exhibition projects in the National Museum of Singapore, insights can be acquired into how these technologies have changed the exhibition methods of museums and enriched the visitors’ experience. This thesis will focus on the application, impact, and potential future development trends of digital media technology in museum exhibition design. The findings of this study can serve as valuable experiences and insights for other museums in the application of digital media technology.

The trajectory of technological exchanges and modern communication technologies in the context of opening up to the outside world in the late Qing and early Republic of China

Abstract During the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the development of communication technology was closely correlated with societal progress. The social turmoil in the late Qing and early Republican periods, the social situation of “internal and external problems,” and the trend of “coming in” and “going out” of technological exchanges contributed to the introduction of modern communication technology, newspapers and magazines, and the establishment of the telegraph and the telephone. This led to the introduction of modern communication technology, represented by the telegraph and telephone, as well as the rise and establishment of newspapers and magazines. The national telegraph and the May Fourth Movement further enhanced the influence of the telegraph and communication technology on social development. The study analyzes the sources of funds, the number of subscribers, the number of telephone offices, the mileage of lines, the development of governmental telegraphs in each province, and the development of telegraphs in each country. It explores the development trend of communication technology in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, taking into account the interactions between the social conditions of the late Qing Dynasty and the development of telegraphs. Based on the monthly revenue of the telephone bureau, the Beijing Telephone Bureau’s installation fee in 1909 was approximately 1,799 yuan, with the telephone fee and the Electricity Bureau’s appropriation primarily financing its construction. Towards the end of the Qing Dynasty, the Beijing Telephone Bureau extended its telegraph lines and increased the number of users. By 1911, the telegraph lines’ mileage had reached about 99,979 miles, indicating a relatively rapid development. However, the telegraph business remained significantly behind that of other countries.

Digital supply chain: literature review of seven related technologies

This paper systematically reviews literature related with digital supply chains (DSC) and investigates the application status and development trend of different digital technologies in supply chain management. The review is conducted from the perspective of seven key digital supply chain technologies, i.e. Internet of Things (IoT) & Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), 5th Generation Mobile Communication Technology (5G), 3D Printing, Big data (BD), Blockchain, Digital Twins (DT), and Intelligent autonomous vehicles (IAVs). It highlights the main limitations and opportunities of the various DSC technologies, provides an overview of prior studies, and identifies knowledge gaps by outlining the advantages, weaknesses and restrictions of individual technology. The paper also aims at providing a development framework as a roadmap for the match of different digital technologies with different strategic goals.

Advances in Droplet-Based Microfluidic High-Throughput Screening of Engineered Strains and Enzymes Based on Ultraviolet, Visible, and Fluorescent Spectroscopy

Genetic engineering and directed evolution are effective methods for addressing the low yield and poor industrialization level of microbial target products. The current research focus is on how to efficiently and rapidly screen beneficial mutants from constructed large-scale mutation libraries. Traditional screening methods such as plate screening and well-plate screening are severely limited in their development and application due to their low efficiency and high costs. In the past decade, microfluidic technology has become an important high-throughput screening technology due to its fast speed, low cost, high automation, and high screening throughput, and it has developed rapidly. Droplet-based microfluidic high-throughput screening has been widely used in various fields, such as strain/enzyme activity screening, pathogen detection, single-cell analysis, drug discovery, and chemical synthesis, and has been widely applied in industries such as those involving materials, food, chemicals, textiles, and biomedicine. In particular, in the field of enzyme research, droplet-based microfluidic high-throughput screening has shown excellent performance in discovering enzymes with new functions as well as improved catalytic efficiency or stability, acid-base tolerance, etc. Currently, droplet-based microfluidic high-throughput screening technology has achieved the high-throughput screening of enzymes such as glycosidase, lipase, peroxidase, protease, amylase, oxidase, and transaminase as well as the high-throughput detection of products such as riboflavin, coumarin, 3-dehydroquinate, lactic acid, and ethanol. This article reviews the application of droplet-based microfluidics in high-throughput screening, with a focus on high-throughput screening strategies based on UV, visible, and fluorescence spectroscopy, including labeled optical signal detection screening, as well as label-free electrochemical detection, mass spectrometry, Raman spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance, etc. Furthermore, the research progress and development trends of droplet-based microfluidic technology in enzyme modification and strain screening are also introduced.

Research Status and Development Trend of EEG Technology for Deep Learning in Emotion Recognition

EEG technology has made significant progress as people's attention to their emotions increases. This has also led to significant progress in various brain sciences, as well as their correlation with emotions. Nevertheless, based on the development of contemporary brain science, it is not possible to provide detailed cause analysis or draw accurate conclusions based on EEG information for a certain symptom or representation. The brain, as a complex organ of multiple entities, processes complex information by connecting multiple brain regions and clarifying the division of labor for each region. This creates a significant obstacle for the research method of brain computer interface, which uses computer algorithms to read information in the brain. Recently, many solutions and research methods have emerged to address this issue, such as electroencephalography (EEG), Positive Positron Emission Computed Tomography (PET) and Functional Magnetic Resolution Imaging (fMRI), etc. However, with such a large number of technologies, a method that can provide precise data from both temporal and spatial angles has not yet been derived. So in-depth research in biology, continuous exploration of computer algorithms can make outstanding contributions to the refinement of brain computer data. In summary, this article aims to provide an overview of the relationship between emotions and EEG analysis, as well as the principles of machine recognition and other applied technologies.
