By emphasizing the importance of educational inheritance, adjusting the objectives of music education in local normal colleges and universities, modifying the curriculum structure, developing new courses rich in Hakka local music characteristics, and enriching the content of vocal music teaching, we can better protect and inherit traditional Hakka music. Bulletin Boards and Classroom Decorations: A Visual Representation of Your Music Teaching Philosophy

In this manuscript, we introduce four philosophical camps and provide bulletin board and classroom decoration examples of how music teachers can visually communicate their teaching philosophies to their students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. The categories emerged from our review of bulletin board examples created by our music teacher colleagues and include (1) music, emotion, and expression; (2) praxialism; (3) extramusical benefits; and (4) social justice. Bulletin boards may indirectly represent teachers’ philosophies when compared with explicit curricula, such as lesson plans, textbooks, and other instructional materials. However, teachers can foster holistic learning experiences for students by harmonizing their implicit messages on bulletin boards and classroom decorations with the explicit curriculum.

Music Teaching Mode of Colleges and Universities Based On Hierarchically Gated Recurrent Neural Network (HGRNN) and Lyrebird Optimization Algorithm (LOA)

Colleges and universities play a crucial role in nurturing talent and providing highly skilled individuals for various sectors of society. Through modifications over time, the model of music education at colleges and universities has advanced. However, there are still numerous issues that demand careful consideration. This manuscript proposes a hierarchically gated recurrent neural network (HGRNN) optimized with the lyrebird Optimization Algorithm (LOA) for predicting music teaching mode of colleges and universities (MTM-HGRNN-LOA). Initially, the data is collected via real time basis. Afterward, the data is fed to an unscented trainable kalman filter (UTKF) based pre-processing process. In the pre-processing segment, it enhances training rate and eliminates the of batch size dependency. The pre-processing output is given to modified spline-kernelled chirp let transform (MSKCT). The input signal undergoes feature extraction to derive the primary features, which are subsequently combined to yield more comprehensive features in an efficient manner. After that, the extracted features are given to a hierarchically gated recurrent neural network and lyrebird optimization algorithm for effectively classifying the music teaching mode for best, good, normal, satisfactory and poor. The weight parameters of hierarchically gated recurrent neural network are optimized using the lyrebird optimization algorithm. The proposed method is implemented in python and evaluated their performance with existing methods. The performance metrics, like precision, F1-score, accuracy, specificity, sensitivity, and ROC is analysed to the proposed method's performance. The proposed MTM-HGRNN-LOA methods of accuracy are provide 97% best, 98% good, 95% normal, 98% satisfactory and 97% poor music teaching mode. The existing methods MTM-CNN, MTM-BPNN and MTM-GNN, the specificity becomes 90%, 70%, 79% best, 77%, 75%, 65% good, 66%, 85%, 84% normal, 59%, 58%, 70% satisfactory, 61%, 79%, 81% poor music teaching mode. The results show that the proposed MTM-HGRNN-LOA method outperforms other existing techniques, such as online vocal music teaching quality using Back Propagation neural network and convolutional neural network based College-Level Music Teaching Quality Evaluation.

Necessity of assessment and how it affects students' psyche and desire to learn: innovative digital technologies for assessment of art and music teaching in China

ABSTRACT This paper studies the use of innovative digital technologies to assess art and music creative works in China. The authors of the paper conducted an experimental study of the influence of various types of assessment, such as formative and summative, on the academic motivation and mental health of artists and musicians. The study involved second-year students from Xihua University (N = 548). The researchers used the Academic Motivation Scale (AMS) and the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS) as psychometric tools of the standardized methods. Summarizing the results obtained, they can conclude that summative assessment stimulates external motivation, while formative assessment contributes to the development of internal motivation of students. These results allow teachers to offer different types of assessment to strengthen a certain type of students’ motivation. The researchers also found that summative assessment could result in a higher level of amotivation. However, they did not confirm the assumption about the negative impact of summative assessment on the mental state of students.

This study aims to explore the problems of music teaching in Chinese colleges and universities. Through the review and analysis of the existing literature, it is found that music teaching in Chinese colleges and universities suffers from the problems of homogenised content, outdated methods and insufficient teachers. Among them, the problems in teaching are specifically reflected in the following three aspects: music teaching in Chinese colleges and universities tends to favour traditional classical music, ignoring other genres of music, students lack of music education that combines with the trend of the times, and the influence of China's education system and policies. Outdated teaching methods are specifically manifested in the following 3 aspects: neglecting the active participation of students and the cultivation of practical ability, lack of innovative teaching means and tools, and the existence of the neglect of students' individual needs. Inadequate teacher strength is specifically manifested in the following 3 aspects: inadequate teacher training system, lack of teachers with professional skills, and imperfect teacher mobility and file management.

Personalized music teaching service recommendation based on sensor and information retrieval technology

In order to fully utilize the existing resources of music information, people have found that music information retrieval technology has important research significance for personalized music teaching. In this context, this article proposes recommendation algorithms that can effectively adjust the content of information services based on user preferences. In response to the issue of recommendation accuracy, this article utilizes information retrieval technology to optimize recommendation algorithms. Combine these two algorithms for recommendation. The main steps that affect recommendation results in recommendation algorithms include similarity calculation, nearest neighbor selection method, and score prediction method calculation. The experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm can effectively solve the existing problems of users, and can also accurately retrieve the content of interest, greatly improving the diversity of the proposed content. Analysis of Teaching Mode of College Music Composition Theory Course Based on Data Analysis

After learning the Soviet model and developing it today, the rudiment of professional music education established in the 1930s has formed the burden of various historical problems. We analyze the problems and challenges existing in the traditional face-to-face mode of vocal music teaching, and then based on the intelligent Internet of Things technology, we design a vocal music network teaching experience system. The system combines sound acquisition equipment, intelligent audio processing algorithm, virtual classroom and other technologies to realize the simulation experience of online vocal music teaching. We have developed an intelligent audio processing algorithm for analyzing and processing students’ singing sounds. This algorithm can detect problems in tone, timbre, rhythm, and more, and provide real-time feedback and advice. In this way, students can understand the shortcomings of their own singing skills, and make timely adjustments and improvements. This study shows that e-learning based on intelligent Internet of Things technology has important application value in vocal music network teaching. By simulating the classroom environment and providing real-time feedback, students can obtain a better learning experience and improve their vocal skills.

Application of recommendation system based on fuzzy logic in music culture communication and music teaching management

Music has been utilized throughout history as a medium for cultural communication and artistic expression, embodying various nations’ and societies’ ideologies and experiences. Music culture communication is crucial for encouraging cultural diversity and understanding and developing social cohesion and community building among people. Music teaching management is the process of setting up, arranging, and executing music education programs in a manner that successfully teaches students the essential skills and information necessary for becoming proficient musicians. Users’ exact preferences for various areas of attraction cannot be determined, nor are users’ choices for traditional music recommendations sufficiently accurate. A recommender system estimates or anticipates people’s preferences and offers appropriate recommendations. First, the sparsity problem emerges when insufficient data is accessible for the recommendation, and the coverage is one of the key drawbacks of social labeling. Cold start issues might be difficult since new music learners might not have given sufficient details about their musical tastes. Hence, the Hybridized Fuzzy logic-based Content and Collaborative Music Recommendation (HFC2MR) system is proposed to create personalized music teaching plans that are effective and engaging for each student based on their music preferences and learning outcomes. Enhanced Fuzzy C-Means clustering is used in collaborative recommendations to group users based on their shared musical tastes and to provide each user with more individualized, accurate music recommendations based on other users’ listening habits and preferences in the same cluster. Subsequently, an assessment of the recommender system using parameters like accuracy, precision, f1-score, and recall ratio is shown with optimal cluster selection. The coverage ratio is used to compare experimental data based on skill capacity covered through the assessment of music teaching. RMSE metric is used to evaluate the accuracy of students’ performance based on music attributes related to teaching goals.
