Exploration of Taxation Curriculum Construction based on OBE Concept

With the advent of the digital and information age, the traditional education model of talent cultivation is no longer able to meet market demand, and there is an urgent need for a transformation in educational philosophy and a reconstruction of the curriculum and teaching process. The article takes the core discipline of taxation in the financial system as the research object, analyzes the problems and reasons in its teaching objectives, teaching content, teaching implementation, and teaching evaluation, and based on the OBE concept, proposes suggestions for the construction of learning outcomes, curriculum objectives, curriculum content reconstruction, and evaluation methods in taxation to meet the individual growth needs of students and adapt to the market's demand for tax related talents.

Exploring the Link between Transformational Leadership and Teacher Innovation

Transformational leadership is a shared belief between academic leaders and their followers. Studies support the significant and progressive influence of transformational leadership behavior on academic followers, especially teachers. The close relationship between transformational leadership in the university and teachers’ organizational commitment paved the way for a proposed theoretical analytical model to understand how university leadership affected teachers’ organizational commitment. The technological demand, the innovation of teachers, and transformative leadership in the educational system are also faced in China. In the university context, Chinese university professors’ innovative work behavior is found to be directly linked to their transformational leadership and trust. For this reason, the study on transformational leadership and innovation was conducted for its influence on the university teachers’ enhancement plan in China. Through quantitative descriptive comparative design, the evaluation, experiences, and behaviors of university teachers across different areas of specialization were compared between transformational leadership and teacher innovation. This study was anchored on the elements of transformational leadership theory specifically the intellectual stimulation element of transformational leadership theory which was focused on innovation. Results revealed that teachers’ assessments regarding perceptions of transformational leadership “expects excellence” was more evident than “respect others.” While teachers’ innovative work behavior was generally average, teaching content was viewed as most favorable, and challenges/issues were the least. Since transformational leadership was positively correlated with the assessment of the innovative work behavior of teachers, recommendations were noted in designing the enhancement plan for university teachers to strengthen the link.

Blended Teaching Design of Hotel Customer Management based on Xuexi Tong

This paper explores the innovative application of a blended teaching mode for the core hotel management course, "Hotel Customer Management" (HCM), utilizing the Xuexi Tong learning platform. This study analyzes the platform's advantages for student learning and propose a comprehensive teaching design that has been implemented and evaluated using qualitative research methods. The results demonstrate that the Xuexi Tong-based blended teaching mode effectively stimulates student learning interest, fosters initiative, promotes deep learning, and cultivates practical abilities. This paper details the teaching design content, implementation process, and evaluation methods, offering valuable insights for promoting and applying blended teaching approaches in hotel management education.

Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) in Empowering Vocational English Teaching Evaluation Systems

The integration of Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) into vocational English teaching has the potential to revolutionize the evaluation process, making it more efficient, personalized, and insightful. This paper explores the current landscape of AIGC in education, with a focus on its application in vocational English teaching evaluation systems. Through a systematic literature review, we analyze how AIGC can enhance existing evaluation frameworks, the challenges it poses, and the future direction of its integration into educational practices.

Teaching Strategies in Business English Translation Based on Ecological Translation

This paper addresses the singularity of the teaching evaluation system and the limited practical teaching resources in business English translation. It proposes a diversified teaching evaluation system based on ecological translation, expands practical teaching resources, and emphasizes the importance of teaching cultural differences and strengthening ecological translation theory. This approach aims to innovate and optimize the teaching mode of business English translation, thereby improving the quality of teaching and promoting students’ deep understanding and application skills of business English. Consequently, this strategy brings new opportunities for development in the field of business English education.

The role of the O2O blended teaching model in improving the teaching effectiveness of physical education classes

Abstract The deep fusion of Internet technology and education is constantly pushing forward the reform of university education. Traditional educational ideas, concepts, and models cannot keep pace with the times, and hybrid teaching has become a new way of education in colleges and universities. To improve the teaching effect of physical education classes, the study used a blended teaching model and designed a teaching evaluation and performance prediction model under the blended teaching model based on an improved cluster analysis method and attention mechanism. The lab results indicated that under the blended teaching model, students’ performance increased by 12.89 points, and the level of skill mastery and proficiency increased by 26.52 and 28.55%, respectively, with grades more inclined to high score distribution. “Excellent” grade clustering increased by 77.71%, and “Good” grade clustering increased by 19.01%. The minimum error sum of squares of the improved clustering algorithm was 58.18 and 36.25% lower than the other two algorithms, and the clustering results were more relevant. The two-way attention mechanism algorithm predicted higher accuracy results and performed best on all four evaluation metrics, with a prediction accuracy of 98.23%, an accuracy of 98.42%, and an F1 value of 91.78%. This hybrid teaching model is more in line with the characteristics of the physical education teaching discipline, successfully cultivates students’ independent learning ability, stimulates students’ love for physical education courses, and achieves better teaching results.

Managerial Strategy Facing the Challenges of Globalisation and the Digital Era

This study aims to analyse the various challenges faced by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at Junior High School (SMPN) 3 Palembang in the era of globalisation and to identify managerial innovations that can be applied to improve the quality of Islamic religious education. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type at SMP Negeri 3 Palembang. Data was collected by interviewing teachers and principals, observing how schools implement managerial strategies, and documenting the Learning Implementation Plan, training reports, policies, and student learning outcome data. Data validity testing with triangulation of sources and methods. Qualitative data analysis using Miles and Huberman. The results of the study show that the challenges faced by SMP Negeri 3 Palembang include challenges in the use of technology, challenges in teacher competence, and challenges in diversity. Managerial strategies begin with planning with technology training, developing teacher intrapersonal skills, and developing a progressive curriculum. Organisation with collaboration between the treasurer, school committee, and parents of students for technology development, curriculum deputy for development of teacher intrapersonal competence, and curriculum team with Islamic Religious Education teachers for integration of multicultural values. Implementing technology integration in learning, training for teacher competency development, and integrating multicultural values ​​in learning. Control with evaluation of the effectiveness of the use of learning media, evaluation of the application of learning models for teacher competency and evaluation of multicultural values ​​in teaching. Further research is recommended to explore the long-term impact of technology training and multicultural values ​​on student development and evaluate the effectiveness of new teaching methods in the context of cultural diversity in other schools.

Evaluation of a basic-clinical integrated pharmacology case-based learning program from a student perspective using the CIPP model.

This study aimed to systematically evaluate the effectiveness of case-based learning (CBL) within a basic-clinical integrated educational program using the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) evaluation model. The CBL program was integrated into the Pharmacology-Clinical Case Practice component of the pharmacology course, a mandatory course for first-year medical students. To evaluate the program, a CIPP model-based questionnaire was developed, assessing needs, goals, resources, educational management, and outcomes. To ensure the reliability and validity of the variables, factor analysis was performed, reducing an initial set of 28 items to 18 final observation variables distributed across four factors. The survey, designed to measure learner satisfaction, was administered to 37 students who participated in the Pharmacology-Clinical Case Practice course during the first semester of 2022. Participants rated their satisfaction with the CBL program based on the CIPP model (on a 5-point scale), giving an average score of 4.17. This suggests that learners who followed the CBL program combining basic and clinical components generally found the program operationally effective with positive outcomes. The teaching model and evaluation model applied in this study can be utilized in various majors when operating CBL classes that link basic and clinical education in medical schools in the future.

Education is essentially a process from within to develop personality and abilities within and outside of oneself. Developing interests and talents is one of them. Interest and talent are one of the keys for students. One way to find out students' interests and talents is to use the RIASEC psychological test tool. With this test, the aim is for students to be able to find out their interests and talents and also be able to develop these interests and talents in the future. It can also be used as an evaluation for teachers at Karangmulya Junior High School to help students develop their interests and talents. The participants in this research were all 27 students in Junior High School 1 Bojongmangu. The results of this research there were 0% realistic, 24% investigate, 49% artistic, 5% social, 10% enterprising, and 12% conventional. From these results, it can be concluded that most of the talents of class 8A students at SMPN 1 Bojongmangu are artistic, namely a field of work that is artistic in nature, such as musician, writer, graphic design, and so on.

The Integration of Traditional Chinese Culture into the English Grammar Course in Regular Higher Education: A Practical Case Study

In the interconnected global society today, the significance of integrating traditional Chinese culture into English grammar education cannot be overstated, but it is often ignored in the practical teaching and theoretical research. Hence, this study aims to explore this integration in regular higher education to promote ideological and political education and their intercultural competence. Research questions include how traditional Chinese culture is practically integrated into the English grammar course in regular higher education and whether this integration is effectively achieved as well as what suggestions can be proposed for the future English grammar course and research. Considering this, a practical case study in the context of Xianda College of Economics and Humanities, Shanghai International Studies University in China is employed to address these questions. Twenty-nine first-year English majors, both females and males, voluntarily participate as research subjects. The specific research methods mainly involve a two-round questionnaire survey and a one-round interview. One of the conclusion is that traditional Chinese culture can be practically integrated into the English grammar course in regular education by the the strategy of “4-R”, namely “Revise Teaching Goals and Objectives, Refine Teaching Content, Revitalize Teaching Methods and Reform Teaching Evaluation”. This study focuses on adopting Chinese ancient poetry, Chinese opera, Chinese architecture, and Chinese festival customs as the main materials for traditional Chinese culture related to grammar points in this course. Moreover, based on the participants’ feedback from the second-round questionnaire survey and one-round interview, it is effectively carried out and attains the quality goals in the overall teaching syllabus to a large extent. Another conclusion is that some suggestions from students and the teacher are provided for the future English grammar course and relevant research.

Development of a canva-based heyzine flipbooks e-module as an alternative learning resources on pancasila education subjects

The purpose of this research is that the learning materials used by teachers in the learning of Pancasila Education are judged to be boring, less interesting, difficult, confusing and cause students' knowledge to be less than maximum. The purpose of this study is to develop Canva-based Heyzine Flipbooks e-module learning media on smartphones/laptops as a Pancasila Education learning medium as well as find out the feasibility and assessment of Canva-based Heyzine Flipbooks e-module as an alternative learning resource on Pancasila Education subject. This study was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. The subjects of the study were class XI-Matlanfor students at Percut Sei Tuan Secondary School 1, and this study used the research and development method developed by Willis. The development model used was R2D2.Questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation were used as data collection techniques in this study. Data analysis technique This study used both qualitative and quantitative methods of analysis. The qualitative data of this study were obtained from validators, subject matter experts and the media at the validation stage. Quantitative constitutes data describing the results of product development in the form of e-module-based learning media Heyzine Flipbooks based on Canva. The obtained data were then analyzed using the formula of validity percentage(%) = tse/tsh x 100. The results of the study stated that the heyzine flipbooks on E-module learning were perceived as very useful and very interesting to use in the field because of the research data obtained from media experts, subject matter experts,PPKn teachers and student responses were declared very viable categories with the acquisition of subject matter expert validation of 98%, media expert validation of 98% and teacher evaluation of 96%. The very feasible category was then reinforced with a student response of 93% with the very interesting category. This proves that learning media is highly recommended to be applied in SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan

The industry demand oriented construction of intelligence medicine specialty in traditional Chinese medicine university: teachers’ perspective

BackgroundThe aim of this study was to explore the relationships between teaching competence, career development, industrial orientation, and specialty construction in the case of intelligent medicine specialties in universities of traditional Chinese medicine, as well as the influencing factors of specialty construction.MethodsTwo-stage sampling with unequal probability was conducted to distribute self-administered questionnaires in the fieldwork. A structural equation model was built to investigate the influencing factors of specialty construction. Forty-two teachers were recruited and completed the questionnaire.ResultsThe study found that teaching competence, career development, and industrial orientation positively affect specialty construction at a significant level. Career development and industrial orientation play chain mediating roles in the effect of teaching competence on specialty construction.ConclusionsIn the construction of intelligent medicine specialties, a professional curriculum system should be built that caters to industrial demand and is combined with industrial development, the traditional mode of teaching should be transformed, and the transformation of theoretical knowledge into practical ability should be promoted. Innovations in teaching modes should be achieved by introducing information technology, and the teacher evaluation system should be optimized.

Do Emergency Certified Teachers Require Differentiated Administrative Support? A Comparison of Teacher Evaluation Scores by Certification Status

ABSTRACT To address growing K-12 teacher shortages, many districts are hiring emergency certified teachers at higher rates than in the past. Yet, little empirical research evaluates the performance of emergency certified teachers. In this study, we estimate the relationship between certification status and teacher evaluation scores (n = 1,312) in a large urban district with a high percentage of emergency certified teachers. Results indicate lower overall evaluation scores (β = -0.41, p < .001) for emergency certified teachers. The largest gaps were found for measures relating to learning strategies and classroom management. Findings suggest that targeted support in these two areas could be beneficial when leaders integrate emergency certified teachers.

Applied Learning for Developing Knowledge on Artificial Intelligence Among Students

As technology advances in the twenty-first century, innovative approach has been identified for developing skills on artificial intelligence (AI) technologies among students. Hence, to continuously improve the knowledge acquisition process, it is important that university lecturers embrace applied learning for developing hands-on competencies of students. Through applied learning, educators can disseminate knowledge on AI by engaging in the direct application of their expertise and theories, resulting in in-depth understanding by the students. A narrative review technique supported with a theoretical interpretation from ADDIE was applied. Findings revealed that applied learning is suitable for educators to develop and sustain hands-on skills and competencies on AI among students. The five steps of the theory lead to practical change and development, while being able to strengthen the change achieved. Through analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluation of teaching and training contents, the final goal of transforming students' knowledge on AI is achieved.

The Influence Of Moving Teacher Management In Improving The Quality Of Learning In State Primary Schools Of Bireuen District

&lt;p&gt;One of the policies of the independent learning program is that teachers can be innovative in implementing learning, position themselves as leaders who are sensitive to students' learning situations and conditions and become independent learning leaders. Driving teacher management aims to improve the quality of learning through developing teachers' pedagogical, personality, social and professional competencies. The aim of this research is toknow about the Management of Driving Teachers in Improving the Quality of Learning in Bireuen Regency Public Elementary Schools. This research uses an experimental approach with research design One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and tests. The data analysis technique carried out in this research uses qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of this research show that: (1) The stages in driving teacher management consist of: planning, driving teachers, participating in coordinating in preparing the school's vision and mission according to the demands of the independent curriculum and developing the latest learning strategies, implementing driving teachers in improving the quality of learning, namely inviting other fellow teachers. to design learning based on students' needs so that they are able to determine appropriate learning styles, and driving teacher evaluation in improving the quality of learning, namely preparing evaluation instruments, carrying out initial, middle and final (as, of &amp;amp; for) assessments of learning to determine students' progress in a material and carry out reflection as a follow-up to improve further learning; 2) The results of the t test show a significant score of 0.02, which shows that there is an influence of driving teacher management on the quality of elementary school learning in Bireun Regency with an increase of around 40%.&lt;/p&gt;

Construction and Practice of Teaching Evaluation System Based on Data Mining

The teaching quality evaluation system based on data mining technology can accurately and fairly identify the core driving factors to improve teaching quality. This method adopts the analysis of big data correlation rules, including data collection and processing preparation steps, builds the data warehouse of association rules, and then generates an educational quality evaluation framework using the principle of data mining. Based on this, this paper analyzes the construction design and method of the teaching evaluation system under data mining, hoping to provide help for the improvement of the teaching evaluation system and the improvement of teaching quality.

AI in higher education: unveiling academicians’ perspectives on teaching, research, and ethics in the age of ChatGPT

ABSTRACT This study examines the potentials and challenges of integrating conversational AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools in higher education. Specifically, the study delves into how ChatGPT is reshaping teaching, learning, research, and student evaluation while addressing ethical concerns such as academic integrity. We employ a qualitative research design based on semi-structured interviews with 12 highly accomplished academicians from North America, Asia, and Europe’s higher education institutions. Our analysis reveals ChatGPT’s potential to uplift educational productivity, learning outcomes, creativity, and idea generation but raises apprehensions about academic honesty, authenticity, and over-reliance. While ChatGPT can enhance educational practices such as brainstorming, analysis, and skills acquisition, its unchecked use may impede learning, critical thinking, and research quality. The study advocates for the responsible AI use in academia, underscoring educators and policymakers to establish policies guiding conversational AI ethical applications. Thus, training faculty and executing institutional policies are essential for effective and ethical integration of ChatGPT and other AI tools in higher education. Finally, this research contributes to ongoing research on AI in education by providing valuable insights that can harness potential of these transformative tools while upholding academic integrity and standards.

A practitioner reflection and response to students’ perceptions of assessment at Higher Education

Assessments are an integral component of university programmes. They have the formative function of being instrumental in gauging the level of student engagement, whilst also providing opportunity for feedback to enhance students’ learning. Moreover, assessments have the summative function of providing grades on which degree classifications are based. Therefore, it is crucial that assessments are presented in a format that engage students. Listening to the student voice is an essential step in designing appropriate assessments. The aim of this reflection piece is to review and critique how the student voice is captured. While students have various informal and formal opportunities to voice their views, here we chose to focus on processes that result in recorded data, namely, Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET) surveys, Module Evaluation Surveys (MES), and research on students’ experience of assessments. We conclude by outlining an example of our adjustments to assessments, based on the student voice.
