This volume is a compilation of the neuropsychological tests currently used by the authors and their colleagues at the University of Victoria (Melbourne, Australia) Neuropsychology Laboratory. As pointed out by the authors (and well known to clinical neuropsychologists), many of the procedures currently in use were originally developed for other purposes and consequently lack a published manual containing substantial normative data. With the exception of approximately 12 commercially published tests of general intellectual ability, scholastic achievement, and memory, there are multiple (and sometimes obscure) sources of normative data for many neuropsychological tests in use. Numerous tables of normative data not available in published test manuals are reproduced in this volume. Consequently, publication of this compendium is especially timely and informative. Although the scope of the book reflects the authors' flexible, individualized approach to neuropsychological assessment, they include tests that are components of widely used batteries.
