Analisis dan Perancangan Jaringan Local Area Network Pada Labolatorium Komputer SMA Negeri 1 Long Iram

Computer networks have become one of the important needs for a school. now. Due to the transfer of the computer laboratory at SMA Negeri 1 Long Iram. In this project, the author wants to create a LAN-based network system (Local Area Network) with a star topology network model. to achieve the target of preparing for ANBK (Computer-Based National Assessment) at the high school. This project uses stage methods, namely problem identification, site observation, data collection, system analysis, system design and testing stages. The purpose of the project is to meet the needs of school facilities in the form of LAN networks that will be used for ANBK and Minimum Competency Assessment and Character Survey so that schools can successfully follow the agenda. The result of the project made is a LAN (Local Area Network) network system with a star topology network model successfully running smoothly as evidenced by the ANBK simulation a week before the implementation of ANBK itself. The benefits of this project are so that schools can participate in ANBK activities and Minimum Competency Assessment and Character Survey, and can maximize the learning process with technology facilities in the computer laboratory.

Perancangan Sistem Agenda Kegiatan Bulanan Berbasis Web Di Telkom Daman Gaharu

A monthly agenda is a tool used to plan, coordinate and monitor planned and executed actions aimed at achieving organizational or personal goals. Until now, DAMAN Telkom Gaharu Medan still makes monthly agendas in a time-consuming and ineffective way, namely by sending letters or invitations and other materials. Therefore, DAMAN Telkom Gaharu Medan has developed a web-based employee monthly agenda information system which can make it easier to prepare monthly agendas and can be accessed by all workers. The system has the following features: employee monthly agenda, home, admin, login, and print data. By utilizing text editors such as Notepad++, Sublime, etc., together with xampp software, the concept of this information system was developed. The ADDIE method which combines analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation is used in the system design development process. System design, menu design, coding, and testing are several stages that constitute the development stages of an information system design. The ability to display monthly agenda data on DAMAN Telkom Gaharu Medan is the final result of developing a web-based monthly agenda information system. In order to improve employee performance at DAMAN Telkom, Gaharu Medan will make it easier for workers to access the monthly agenda online.

Safety Design of Uncontained Engine Rotor Failure for Civil Aircraft Primary Flight Control System

The safety design of uncontained engine rotor failure for civil aircraft primary flight control systems is more difficult than other airborne systems. This paper presents a safety design method that establishes a two-stage collision model inspection mechanism and introduces an automatic analysis algorithm in the process of comprehensive impact analysis of the cascade system. The method applies to the detailed design stage of civil aircraft systems. It can reduce the difficulty of the safety analysis process and improve the accuracy of the analysis results. The verification of a civil aircraft primary flight control system design shows that after using the safety design method, the time cost of the analysis process is significantly reduced, and the analysis results are more accurate, thereby reducing the difficulty of design changes.

Fabrication of Micro-Perforated Panel (MPP) sound absorbers using Digital Light Processing (DLP) 3D printing technology

The fabrication of Micro-Perforated Panels (MPPs) still constitutes a challenge to the acoustic materials industry because it usually requires expensive manufacturing techniques to obtain holes of submillimetre size. In this context, the rise of additive manufacturing or 3D printing (3DP) technologies over the last years has paved the way for the design and development of new materials at the microscopic scale. Among these, Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology emerges as an excellent option due to its advantages in terms of printing speed and higher accuracy when compared to traditional additive manufacturing technologies. This work demonstrates the capacity of DLP technology to fabricate MPPs and explores its design possibilities by using different exposure times in the manufacturing process to attain different hole sizes. To this end, several MPP specimens were fabricated and tested when used as a resonator system in an impedance tube setup to determine their sound absorption performance, the experimental data showing a good agreement when compared to predictions obtained using the Maa model. Preliminary results highlight the potential capabilities of DLP and encourage its use in the design stage of these acoustics resonator systems.

Sourcing albedo data for bifacial PV systems in complex landscapes

Bifacial photovoltaic (PV) systems harvest additional light reflected from the ground. The proportion of light reflected from the ground (albedo) is a critical parameter in estimating the expected performance of these systems. It is important that albedo data are available at the system design stage are accurate and relevant, and that the confidence in these data can be quantified. This work investigates the challenges of different albedo data sources and proposes solutions towards more reliable datasets. Satellite sources, such as the NASA Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MODIS) products, provide data that can be used to model effective albedo anywhere in the world. Nevertheless, there are numerous sources of error that can add uncertainty in bifacial gain, reducing confidence and increasing financial risk. For smaller sites (<∼10 MW) located in varied landscapes, the scaling error caused by the low spatial resolution can be large. By analysing case studies in complex agricultural landscapes, we investigate the accuracy of different albedo measurement approaches. Monitoring stations with reference cells and pyranometers were deployed to validate satellite data and to realise a site measurement campaign for albedo measurements. Since these sites are much smaller than a MODIS pixel, we have evaluated alternative approaches, including “typical landscapes” with adjustments for local latitude and weather, and a novel method of combining MODIS data with higher resolution satellite data. The latter offers a practical solution with good agreement with the ground-based station.

Partial shading losses mitigation of a rooftop PV system with DC power optimizers based on operation and simulation-based evaluation

Building-applied photovoltaic (PV) systems improve urban building energy efficiency but are vulnerable to partial shading (PS) from near obstructions. This causes electrical losses owing to mismatch as well as reduction in module surface’s irradiance. Module level power electronics (MLPE) can mitigate these electrical losses caused by PS.The evaluation of the effectiveness of MLPEs in mitigating mismatch losses serves as the primary basis for determining its application during the system-design stage. However, research regarding the effects of applying MLPE is lacking. Further, the studies lack comparisons with various general PV system types, such as inverter types and array configurations.Therefore, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the mismatch losses mitigation effect of the DC power optimizer (DCPO), one of MLPEs. A rooftop PV (RTPV) system with DCPOs is selected for this study, and PS and operational performance are analyzed for RTPV system. Then, comparative analysis for the performance of the mimic RTPV model and seven general PV models, which are modeled for array configurations and different inverter types, is conducted using the simulation software.We developed four PV models with a central inverter and two with a string inverter, each with different shaded module connections. The annual array yields of these models decreased by up to 3.23% than mimic RTPV model, except for the model with micro inverters categorized as MLPE, which only experienced a 0.3% decrease. In the mismatch, it is expected that the PV system with MLPE can improve performance compared to the without MLPE.

A data-driven flow loss prediction model for the blade hub region of a boundary layer ingestion fan rotor

PurposeIn a boundary layer ingestion (BLI) propulsion system, the fan operates continuously under distorted inflow conditions, leading to an increment of aerodynamic loss and in turn impacting the potential fuel burn reduction of the aircraft. Usually, in the preliminary design stage of a BLI propulsion system, it is essential to assess the impact of fuselage boundary layer fluids on fan aerodynamic performances under various flight conditions. However, the hub region flow loss is one of the major loss sources in a fan and would greatly influence the fan performances. Moreover, the inflow distortion also results in a complex and highly nonlinear mapping relation between loss and local physical parameters. It will diminish the prediction accuracy of the commonly used low-fidelity computational approaches which often incorporate traditional physics-based loss models, reducing the reliability of these approaches in evaluating fan performances. Meanwhile, the high-fidelity full-annulus unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (URANS) approach, even though it can give rather accurate loss predictions, is extremely time-consuming. This study aims to develop a fast and accurate hub loss prediction method for a BLI fan under distorted inflow conditions.Design/methodology/approachThis paper develops a data-driven hub loss prediction method for a BLI fan under distorted inflows. To improve the prediction accuracy and applicability, physical understandings of hub flow features are integrated into the modeling process. Then, the key physical parameters related to flow loss are screened by conducting a sensitivity analysis of influencing parameters. Next, a quasi-steady assumption of flow is made to generate a training sample database, reducing the computational time by acquiring one single sample from the highly time-consuming full-annulus URANS approach to a cost-efficient single-blade-passage approach. Finally, a radial basis function neural network is used to establish a surrogate model that correlates the input parameters and the output loss.FindingsThe data-driven hub loss model shows higher prediction accuracy than the traditional physics-based loss models. It can accurately capture the circumferentially and radially nonuniform variation trends of the losses and the associated absolute magnitudes in a BLI fan under different blade load, inlet distortion intensity and rotating speed conditions. Compared with the high-fidelity full-annulus URANS results, the averaged relative prediction errors of the data-driven hub loss model are kept less than 10%.Originality/valueThe originality of this paper lies in developing a new method for predicting flow loss in a BLI fan rotor blade hub region. This method offers higher prediction accuracy than the traditional loss models and lower computational time cost than the full-annulus URANS approach, which could realize fast evaluations of fan aerodynamic performances and provide technical support for designing high-performance BLI fans.

Enhancing Income as a Starting Point for Designing Sustainable Health Product-Service Systems for Chronically Ill Elderly in Rural Areas

Insufficient income, inadequate healthcare resources, and insufficient chronic disease management awareness pose a fundamental obstacle to the sustained health maintenance of elderly individuals with chronic diseases in rural areas. In response to these challenges, this study adopted a research-through-design approach and introduced system design thinking by incorporating new stakeholders, experiential insights, and services. Initially, during the background research stage, a semi-structured interview was conducted to gain an understanding of the pains, needs, and potential opportunities of the target users. Subsequently, in the design model construction stage, desk research was carried out to refine and integrate the common components identified in various design models. In a focus group, these components were then incorporated into the development of a Sustainable Health Product-Service System Design Model tailored for rural elderly with chronic diseases after refining the pains, needs, and potential opportunities defined in the first stage. This design model encompassed elements including a background layer, a stakeholder layer, a funding layer, a product layer, a service layer, and an information layer. In the system design and design model validation stage, a design project aimed at health maintenance was launched within Liyang Town, with the design thinking method following a process of empathizing, defining, ideating, prototyping, and testing. Throughout the project, the established model guided the design process and facilitated the conceptualization and implementation of a Product-Service system. In conclusion, an investigation encompassing 15 elderly individuals was undertaken to analyze their income balance, health condition, health awareness, and their satisfaction with the health system. This analysis spanned the period both before and after their involvement in the project. The outcomes of this examination revealed notable enhancements across all three dimensions evaluated, highlighting the positive impact of the project on the elderly participants. Furthermore, the project’s social benefits were also comprehensively established.

ICONIX Process for Analysis and Design of Web-Based Savings and Loan Cooperative Applications

The rapid advancement of information technology has led to the computerization of activities in virtually all domains. One notable example is the website, which is widely utilized by the public today to facilitate various business processes. Technology's proliferation has also significantly simplified and enhanced solutions to economic challenges, especially in cooperatives. Cooperatives play an instrumental role in fostering economic growth. While cooperative management utilizes applications, many administrative activities remain manual, lack real-time processing, and are only accessible to the cooperative's administrators. The process is challenging for cooperative members who wish to view transaction reports or conduct activities like installments, deposits, Surplus Dividends (SHU), or loans; they must physically visit the cooperative. This paper will delve into the steps in analyzing and designing a web-based cooperative application utilizing the Iconix process. The system analysis stages encompass data gathering via observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The system design stages cover the design of the user interface (GUI) graphics, use case diagrams, domain model diagrams, robustness diagrams, sequence diagrams, and class diagrams. This study's findings will benefit cooperative stakeholders looking to establish a web-based savings and loan system. This will provide them with a comprehensive overview of business processes through the analysis and design phases, all leveraging the Iconix process.

Twelve years after the ARRIVE guidelines: Animal research has not yet arrived at high standards.

The reproducibility crisis across animal studies jeopardizes the credibility of the main findings derived from animal research, even though these findings are critical for informing human studies. To clarify and improve transparency among animal studies, the ARRIVE reporting guidelines were first announced in 2010 and upgraded to version 2.0 in 2020. However, compliance with and awareness of those reporting guidelines has remained suboptimal. Journal editors should encourage the authors to adhere to those guidelines. Authors, editors, referees, and reviewers should be aware of the ARRIVE guideline 2.0 when assessing and evaluating the methodology and findings of animal studies. However, we should also question whether reporting guidelines alone can change a research culture and improve the reproducibility of animal investigations. Reported research may not reflect actual research. Large segments of animal research efforts are wasted because of poor design choices and because of non-publication rather than suboptimal reporting. Better training of the scientific workforce, interventions at improving animal research at the design stage, registration practices, and alignment of the reward system with the publication of rigorous animal research may achieve more than reporting guidelines alone.

PERANCANGAN VPS DAN MULTI-REGION LOAD BALANCER UNTUK WEBSITE PT SCHLEMMER AUTOMOTIVE INDONESIA MENGGUNAKAN LAYANAN GOOGLE CLOUD PLATFORM

PT Schlemmer Automotive Indonesia as a multinational company under the Schlemmer Group requires a website that can be accessed smoothly by users from various countries, such as Indonesia, Germany and China. In order for the website to be accessed quickly and stably in each of these countries, a reliable and efficient infrastructure is required. This study aims to design a VPS system and load balancer for the PT Schlemmer Automotive Indonesia website that can divide the traffic load between several servers or VPS instances and direct traffic to access servers that are in the closest location to the user. The method used in this study is the prototyping method with the stages of system requirements analysis, system design, system testing, and implementation. The test results show that the designed system can run well and proves that the use of VPS and load balancers can improve website performance and stability when traffic spikes occur. In conclusion, this study shows that the use of VPS and load balancers on the PT Schlemmer Automotive Indonesia website using the Google Cloud Platform service results in good website performance when accessed in each country.

Analyzing and Designing Public Aspiration Category and Data Information System through Agile Scrum Approach

Bappeda Malang City has problems in the implementation of community aspirations data collection which results in difficulty seeing the latest aspirations data and the long flow of data collection. In this case, the authors conducted an analysis and design of a web-based community aspirations data collection system which would make it easier for Bappeda to collect data on aspirations. This web-based aspiration data collection system will make it easier for Bappeda to see the actual aspirations conveyed by the community. The method in analyzing and designing a web-based data collection and categorization system with the Laravel 9 framework uses the scrum method with various customized activities. The process of activities carried out to produce the aspirational data collection system included condition analysis and data collection, system design, and system implementation. The process in this study goes through the stages of system design, which includes scrum (product backlog, sprints, scrum meetings) and also business design (flowchart diagrams, use case diagrams, ERD diagrams). The results obtained in this study are of good value and can be used after carrying out user testing carried out at the system implementation stage.

ВИЗНАЧЕННЯ ПАРАМЕТРІВ ОСНОВНИХ ЕЛЕМЕНТІВ БЕЗДРОТОВОГО ЗАРЯДНОГО ПРИСТРОЮ ДЛЯ ЗАРЯДКИ АКУМУЛЯТОРНОЇ БАТАРЕЇ ЕЛЕКТРОМОБІЛЯ

The work has developed a methodology for calculating voltage values on the main elements of the wireless battery charging system, which allows at the design stage of such systems to choose the necessary parameters of coils and an additional high-frequency transformer, while harmonizing the voltage value on the battery with the voltage at the output of the high-frequency inverter. A comparison of the calculation results using the developed methodology with the corresponding results obtained using the developed Simulink-model of the system showed that their maximum discrepancy does not exceed 15%. It is noted that in practice, when developing such systems to match the voltage of the rechargeable battery with the high-frequency inverter, it is possible to either use an additional high-frequency transformer, or choose the necessary ratio of turns of the transmitting and receiving coils. In the latter case, the possibility of high voltage resonance voltage on the coils and capacitive elements should be taken into account, which requires the use of reinforced insulation and the fulfillment of all requirements for the operation of devices at the corresponding high voltage. Design of an electrical energy storage system for hybrid diesel electric ship propulsion aimed at load levelling in irregular wave conditions

This paper focuses on the design stage of an electrical energy storage system which is intended to be used to level the power required by ships for propulsion when sailing in irregular seas. Particularly, a preliminary analysis has been carried out aimed at choosing, between two storage technologies namely battery and ultracapacitor, the more adequate storage system for the levelling action with respect to the period of the sea waves. A sizing procedure based upon a Hilbert transform decomposition of load demand is used. More specifically, a specified threshold frequency has been identified such that, power fluctuations related to irregular seas which are characterized by frequencies higher than the specified threshold, indicate the ultracapacitor as the more appropriate device for load levelling. For sizing the storage device, the load demand has been decomposed into two signals without overlapping frequencies. An optimal control strategy is proposed, by exploiting the decomposition of the load power, which allows simulating ultracapacitor real-time operation within the previously determined size constraints. Numerical results have been carried out referring to a Ro-Pax ferry powered by an electrical motor.

High Order Harmonic Pass Band Suppression in Microstrip Filter

It is very well understood that filters are backbone of communication system as they are employed in each stage of system design and the key parameters which indicates their performance and suitability to desired application are insertion loss, return loss, group delay etc. Apart from them a very important factor namely high order harmonic pass band which becomes very critical when input of the filter consists of multiple harmonic signal within it and creates interference to succeeding stages of the system. In order to achieve clean frequency spectrum in stop band frequency region, there is need of suppressing the high order harmonic spurious pass bands. In this research work additional microstrip patterns are formed at input/output of the filter schematic to achieve the required goal. In this article concept of the novel technique to eliminate or suppress the high order harmonics is detailed and same is implemented on hairpin type of filter topology.

Web-Based Library Information System Design

School libraries generally aim to provide information services on borrowing and returning books to students and teachers. The library of Pasundan 7 Bandung Junior High School has a large collection of books, both in the form of textbooks, collections of questions, magazines and newspapers. However, this library has not been well managed because all activities still use manual methods and do not have good documentation. This can be seen from the way students experience difficulties when looking for the desired book, then the process of recording borrowing and returning books that are still manual so that it takes a long time and the data storage is not guaranteed, the number of scattered records that confuse officers when matching data to make reports, because it is only stored in the form of ordinary archives that are easily lost. Therefore, a web-based library information system is needed at Pasundan 7 Bandung Junior High School. The Library Information System of SMP Pasundan 7 Bandung aims to assist library staff in minimizing service time with the help of computerized transactions, especially in book loan and return transactions. In designing an information system, all data related to the library is stored in a file warehouse called a database. To produce a good and correct database, it is necessary to carry out system design stages. The goal is to produce good data input. This Final Project discusses the design of creating a web-based information system, which can assist library staff in the process of delivering library information at Pasundan 7&#x0D; Bandung Junior High School. This research focuses on designing a library information system in a school environment. The purpose of this research is to change the pattern of conventional services into computerization to facilitate data management in book borrowing and returning transactions in preventing data loss. The research method used is descriptive analysis method, which is a research method that tries to describe the object or subject under study objectively, and aims to describe the facts systematically and the characteristics of the object and the frequency studied precisely. Information system design is built using the waterfall method. Or through sequential stages in the hope of producing a design that is in accordance with the existing target needs. Data collection methods by means of interviews and direct observation. The results showed that using a computerized system is much more effective than the conventional way and even more efficient. The effectiveness of implementing a web-based Library Information System at Pasundan 7 Bandung Junior High School can be seen from the service process carried out.&#x0D;

Configuration and Design Schemes of Environmental Sensing and Vehicle Computing Systems for Automated Driving: A Review

The recent proliferation of sensing and computing technologies has promoted the rapid development of automated driving. A series of automated driving systems are consecutively released by manufactures in recent years. These systems at different automated driving levels rely on various perception sensors and vehicle computing system to detect the environment and process the real-time data. The configuration of environmental sensing and vehicle computing in the system design stage for facilitating automated driving are attracting more and more attention. In this paper, we investigate the state-of-the-art configuration design schemes of perception system and computing system in automated driving at different levels of automation, involving up to thirty automated driving systems or vehicles. Comprehensive analysis by statistics approaches is followed with the emphasis of underlying design patterns and the cross relationships among environmental sensing, vehicle computing and automated driving levels. Furthermore, from a general perspective, we analyze and conclude the requirement on the perception system and the computing system in automated vehicles, considering typical features in each automated driving level. We expect that this work could serve as a reference for practical engineering on the configuration design for automated driving systems, and promote academic research on relative theories and methodologies for system design.

Geographic Segmentation using Application Programming Interface (API) Geolocation on E-Marketplace Development

Purbalingga is one of the regencies in the province of Central Java with many muffler artisans and is the largest exhaust producer in Indonesia. In this study, the development of an e-marketplace application will be carried out by implementing a geolocation Application Programming Interface (API). The geolocation API is used to detect the location of visitors so that price differences can be made based on the visitor's country. The system development method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD). The RAD method is used because application development can be done in a relatively fast time. At the system design stage, the Unified Modeling Language (UML) is used as a visual model to facilitate the application development. The final result of this research is an e-marketplace application that specifically sells exhaust products and accessories. The test results were carried out in 6 different locations with details of 4 countries of Indonesia, one country of Malaysia, and one country of Saudi Arabia. Other prices were obtained according to the location of the visitor's country.

Development of a Mobile-Based Student Grade Processing Application Using the Waterfall Method

One of the public elementary schools in Medan is SDN 064017. At SDN 064017, the procedure for processing student grade data is not yet computerized. Gradebooks are used to track and process student grade information. There are still certain problems that arise with this method. SDN 064017 requires a lot of time and effort to process and find information on student grades. The purpose of the author's research is to develop a mobile-based application that will simplify and speed up SDN 064017 in processing and searching for student grade data. The system development method used by the author is the waterfall method, consisting of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance stages, while the system testing method uses the black box testing method. In the process of developing a mobile-based application, the author uses the Kodular framework and the Airtable database. With the information system, it is hoped that it can help SDN 064017 in processing and searching student grade data at SDN 064017 to be more effective and efficient through an Android mobile.

Assessing Risk in Cybersecurity: How Sound Data Science Can Raise the Bar

Cybersecurity is not currently a data science-driven practice, and the frustratingly slow progress in the development of cybersecurity technology reflects this deficiency. Operators are bombarded with too many false positives. If greater data science savvy is brought to bear at the system design stage, rather than not at all or after the fact, these challenges can be overcome. a more scientific understanding of the situation can lead to more effective results-based, rather than threat-based, solutions.
