Implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Christian Education Lessons

The education curriculum in Indonesia continues to evolve with the times. Recently, the education system transitioned from the 2013 Curriculum to the Merdeka Curriculum. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Christian Education Lessons, highlighting its impact and effectiveness. The significance of this study lies in its contribution to understanding curriculum development in Indonesia and how the Merdeka Curriculum aligns with national educational goals and the Pancasila student profile. A literature review methodology was employed, gathering relevant information from the Google Scholar database and other sources. Data were analyzed using a SWOT framework to identify key considerations in implementing the Independent Curriculum, aiming to maximize opportunities and minimize threats. The findings indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum aligns with the vision of Indonesian Education, promoting life competencies in students. This vision supports the Pancasila student profile, emphasizing differentiated learning to meet individual student interests and needs. The analysis involved a systematic literature review, data extraction, and SWOT analysis to synthesize and interpret the findings.

The Impact of Virtual Teaching and Learning on Skill and Knowledge Acquisition in the Training of Health Professionals

This paper aims to examine how virtual teaching and learning affect the acquisition of skills and knowledge among healthcare professionals in Ghana using the SWOT framework and socio ecological model. The findings indicate that virtual teaching offers benefits such as improved accessibility, flexibility, cost effectiveness and opportunities for expanding training using technologies. However challenges were noted in skill development and digital disparities. Threats included declines in competency and sustainability issues. The socio ecological perspective emphasized how factors across levels are interconnected. In conclusion the combined analysis using SWOT and socio ecological models provides an understanding of how virtual teaching impacts healthcare education in Ghana. Recommendations include investing in infrastructure training faculty members and supporting learners better; promoting collaboration among healthcare professionals; well as establishing quality assurance measures and plans, for long term sustainability. The study provides guidance on how to enhance the execution and impact of virtual education programs, in training health professionals. The results guide the development of policies based on evidence, allocation of resources and collaboration across sectors to establish an enduring policy framework for virtual healthcare professional education in Ghana.

Agrivoltaics: Synergies and trade-offs in achieving the sustainable development goals at the global and local scale

The 2015 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a set of aspirational objectives for the world, addressing interlinked themes including poverty, hunger, and climate action. Meeting these goals requires a similarly integrated and interdisciplinary approach. One component of such an approach may be agrivoltaic systems (AVS): dual use solar and agricultural systems wherein crops are grown beneath and between solar panels. Given their intersectoral nature, AVS will have complex impacts on the achievement of the SDGs. This analysis seeks to evaluate how AVS could impact progress towards the SDGs based on literature around the impacts of agriculture, solar, and AVS, and the indicators measuring progress towards the SDGs. It uses a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) framework and applies it in a unique way to understand the direct and immediate impacts to the SDGs following the installation of an AVS (i.e., strengths and weaknesses), and the potential impacts on the SDGs based on secondary or supplementary actions taken once an AVS is installed (i.e., opportunities and threats). Though the most obvious of AVS' impacts to the SDGs will be on Goals 2 (Zero Hunger) and 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), evaluation of individual indicators shows that AVS can quantifiably impact 14 out of 17 SDGs, largely in a positive manner. However, evaluating impacts on the SDGs indicator by indicator also reveals possible negative, and unexpected, consequences of AVS. Yet, impacts on the SDGs will vary by location-specific factors such as climate, and so this analysis concludes with an application of the SWOT framework in Ethiopia for a farm where an AVS is under consideration. Altogether, this work should provide a means for evaluating the impacts of AVS on SDGs and insights into how to mitigate possible detrimental impacts while capitalizing on benefits.

The analysis of social E-commerce with artificial intelligence

Nowadays, with the widespread popularization and development of the internet, the e-commerce industry has begun to rise, among which social e-commerce, as a new community, has become popular on the Internet. At the same time, the field of artificial intelligence is slowly infiltrating into every field of today's society. The diversified data contained in the social e-commerce platform has great potential value, but artificial intelligence, as an important technology of information analysis, is rarely applied in this direction. This paper fundamentally discusses the role of artificial intelligence in e-commerce. Taking Xiaohongshu as an example, the SWOT framework is used to analyze the advantages and drawbacks, potential benefits and risks caused by the application of artificial intelligence in an e-commerce platform with rich user data. The limitation and extensibility of artificial intelligence in e-commerce platforms, finally put forward the application prospect of artificial intelligence in the e-commerce direction. This study recommends that the social e-commerce community establish a robust data privacy protection system, increase investment in technology research and development, and fully leverage the potential of AI technology.

An Analysis of Arab Undergraduate Students’ Writing Performance: Applying SWOT Framework

Writing is an indispensable skill in the academic as well as professional lives of individuals. As such, an in-depth multi-layered delve into the writing of students becomes necessary to gain a better understanding of these texts from different directions. This study explores the writing skill proficiency of undergraduate Arab business students using the SWOT framework: analyzing its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The SWOT framework was adopted as an analytical framework for this study to achieve interdisciplinarity between the different fields of knowledge during face-to-face and hybrid sessions. This, in its turn, could contribute to viewing a persisting issue in the field of language teaching and learning, such as students’ writing performance, from a different angle. An analysis of a written corpus of 80 students’ written analytical essays was thoroughly conducted to depict the nature of students’ writing. The participants of the current study were business major students enrolled in an ESP course at the Arab Open University in Kuwait. Data analysis has yielded interesting findings with respect to the internal strengths and weaknesses in the students’ writing in the business field. The data has also provided valuable insights on the future opportunities as well as the pitfalls to avoid in order to improve the quality of students’ writing as external factors that might be affecting their performance in analytical business writing. Such findings could also be helpful for writing instructors when planning, teaching, and assessing their students’ writing.

Unveiling drivers and barriers in advancing agricultural wastewater reuse in Southern Italy: A SWOT analysis informed by stakeholder insights

In the Apulia region (Southern Italy), the issue of water scarcity is escalating, making wastewater reclamation and reuse crucial options for promoting sustainable development. Despite substantial financial investments, the practical adoption of wastewater reuse for agricultural irrigation remains constrained. Using a quantitative SWOT framework, we analyzed market, social, and product-related factors impacting water reuse. A questionnaire with 23 out of 30 expert stakeholders, including researchers, public administration officials, utility members, farmers, and engineers, was used to evaluate the significance of each aspect identified in the SWOT analysis. The key drivers of a wastewater-reuse-based economy include improved water availability during drought, a commitment to the circular economy, and existing successful agricultural reuse projects. Conversely, identified obstacles encompass the lack of storage basins for storing wastewater between seasons to synchronize production with crop water needs, inadequate political dedication to oversee groundwater withdrawals, difficulties in controlling investments, and bureaucratic demands arising from stringent regulation. Underpinned by the recently enacted EU Water Reuse Regulation, the reuse of wastewater is crucial for addressing water scarcity, mitigating aquifer over-exploitation, and achieving objectives related to the circular economy. However, moving forward, an updated governance framework integrating continuous monitoring, active stakeholder engagement, and investments in intermediate storage facilities is imperative for effective and sustainable wastewater reuse. This research provides novel empirical evidence and expands upon existing studies on barriers and opportunities related to reclaimed water in a Mediterranean context and regions facing similar challenges. The findings can serve as a valuable reference for future research in this field.

Vertical Integration in Healthcare and Patient Satisfaction: An Exploratory Analysis of Portuguese Reforms

The performances of public corporate hospital units are being influenced by user behaviour, delayed service responses, and sustainability risks. Consequently, there is a need for these units to adopt a different approach to user care in order to attain overall success and mitigate discontent arising from delays and waiting lists. The faults within the public system are becoming increasingly apparent as a result of the growing emphasis on the transparency and authenticity of information. The reform of the Portuguese health system aims to enhance coordination among public, private, and social services. Additionally, it prioritises the integration of various levels of care within the Portuguese National Health Service, specifically by promoting the amalgamation of hospital business entities with primary care under single organisations known as Local Health Units. The objective of this study was to utilise the SWOT framework to examine the reform from the standpoint of citizens, as they are the focal point of the system and its long-term sustainability. The study revealed several benefits associated with the reform. However, it is crucial to address potential risks and opportunities in order to achieve the intended outcomes. If health managers and policy-makers effectively utilise the available opportunities, it can be inferred that there exists a favourable circumstance to implement a Local Health Unit model that seeks to integrate comprehensive care. This approach, by addressing the health issues of citizens, will create a larger scope for improvement and enhance citizen contentment. Moreover, it will ensure the long-term viability, ethical conduct, transparency, and genuineness of health outcomes.

In Indonesia, Hope For The Omnibus Law Method As A Solution To Hyper Regulation

<em>This study aims to describe the expectations of the Omnibus Law Method as a solution to regulatory problems in Indonesia. The research method used is a normative juridical approach with statutory and conceptual approaches. Analytical tools based on the SWOT framework are used to examine primary, secondary, and tertiary sources of law. Due to the overwhelming volume of federal and state laws, the government has chosen to implement sweeping "omnibus" legislation. It's true that rules may be streamlined using the Omnibus approach. One of the goals is the organization of rules, which cannot be achieved if the Formation of Legislation using the Omnibus Law approach is not executed correctly. The success and advantages of the enacted Omnibus Law will determine the future of the method's acceptance in Indonesia's legal system. The regulatory framework is inseparable from the legal underpinnings, apparatus, culture, infrastructure, information technology, and funding that sustain it. The concepts of transparency, caution, and promoting public engagement are essential in Indonesia for applying the Omnibus Law.</em>

The Utility of Head-Mounted Eye Gaze Tracking for Vision-in-Action Assessments to Enhance Skill Acquisition and Sport Performance: A Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats Analysis

Mobile eye tracking technology enables the objective evaluation of what, when, and how athletes use visual information from the environment to control action in service of skilled performance. This review highlights the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) to consider before adopting this technology to evaluate visual–motor control for enhanced skill acquisition and performance in sport. Strengths include increased ecological validity by recording the athlete within their natural performance environment. Weaknesses include diminished tracking fidelity based on the eye’s morphology or squinting, eye tracker movement, and lens fogging. Opportunities consist of novel assessments around research themes such as combatting the negative effects of pressure and performance enhancement through personalized training. The formfitting technologies also introduce recording opportunities during standard practices. Data processing time, synchronization of video streams, and hand coding of variables comprise the threats in addition to the hardware cost and the fees associated with crowdsourcing data coding. Currently, it is also not feasible to provide coaches with a report of their athletes’ data in a timeline suitable to create player-specific drills. Evaluating portable eye tracking technology with a SWOT framework helps translate scientific knowledge to practitioners considering implementing this technology for athlete assessment and development.

Indonesia’s Law no.1 (2011) necessitates the provision of affordable housing by the government, implicating both public and private sectors. Intermediate commercial housing enterprise, PT Trifecta Adi Perkasa, navigates such a mandate amid various unpredictable elements using scenario planning. This approach involves exhaustive external and internal analyses using PESTEL, Porter’s Five Forces, and Resource-based methods, viewed through a SWOT framework. This multi-phase strategy incorporates first-hand and secondary data assessing current and impending property-related issues. The process culminates in four prospective strategies and an ensuing five-year operational plan, buffering against future uncertainties.

Strategic management and risk control of emergency hospital construction: SWOT and STPA framework from a systems thinking perspective.

The construction of emergency hospitals is crucial for ensuring medical service provision during disasters. Assembled buildings have emerged as the preferred choice for large-scale emergency hospitals due to their rapid construction and high quality. However, the construction of emergency hospitals involves the collaboration of multiple departments, and there is a lack of research on the management of such construction projects. Given the urgent need for emergency hospitals, analyzing potential hazards in the construction process from a systemic perspective is essential to manage their construction effectively. In this study, the SWOT and STPA methods are employed to investigate the construction management of emergency buildings, with the Wuhan Vulcan Mountain Hospital in China serving as a case study for emergency management analysis. This study can provide ideas for emergency hospital management and a basis for controlling possible emergency construction accidents.

Augmented Reality Marketing Implementation in Greek SMEs - A SWOT Analysis

Abstract Augmented Reality (AR) has established itself as a transformative tool in the domain of marketing, enabling both immersive and interactive experiences for consumers. The inherent capability of AR to overlay digital content onto the real world provides marketers with unparalleled opportunities to connect with their target audience. For the effective integration of Augmented Reality Marketing (ARM) within Greek Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), it's essential to capitalize on inherent strengths, address potential weaknesses, exploit existing opportunities, and strategically navigate anticipated threats. Fundamental to the successful incorporation of ARM in this context is the development of a carefully crafted strategy, enriched by a deep understanding of the local market dynamics. From a methodological standpoint, this research draws upon a set of predetermined keywords sourced from renowned databases such as Google, Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, Science Direct, and Scopus. Using secondary data, the collated information was analyzed using the SWOT framework, facilitating a thorough examination of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. To achieve this, a SWOT analysis was systematically employed, offering a comprehensive view of the potential for integrating augmented reality marketing within Greek SMEs. Could the Southern-Kurtalan Express be as Popular as the Eastern Express? Comparative SWOT Analysis

Train tourism can play a critical role in the development of the tourism potential of the cities, such as increasing the tourism potential of the cities, economic contribution, reducing the differences in the level of development between regions, and employment in the cities where the railway line passes, and thus in the development of the country’s tourism potential. This situation occurred in the cities of the route where the Eastern Express passed. Therefore, the aim of this research is to present a comparative SWOT framework on whether the Southern-Kurtalan Express has the potential to be popular like the Eastern Express, and to explore the perception and behavioral tendencies of travelers towards the Southern-Kurtalan Express. While conducting interviews with 30 participants to create a SWOT matrix for the Southern-Kurtalan Express, the SWOT matrix for the Eastern Express was compiled from the relevant literature. Comparing the data from the participants and the SWOT matrices compiled from the literature, it can be deduced that the Southern-Kurtalan Express is as strong as the Eastern Express and even has more advantages but has similar weaknesses and that the Southern-Kurtalan Express faces significant opportunities as well as similarly wider threats. In this regard, the Southern-Kurtalan Express has a high potential to be as popular as the Eastern Express, but success can be achieved if all stakeholders act together to determine strategies for reducing the threat width and improving the potential.

An emerging concern of medical waste management in Rohingya refugee camps at Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh: existing practice and alternatives

The plight of humanity in refugee camps is an age-old issue, as is the ever-increasing issue of waste management, especially medical waste. Though situations have improved in recent times for refugee camps, the same cannot be concurred about medical waste management, as it increases in amount every day. This is the first study on the refugee camp, which was conducted to assess the status of medical waste management and to quantify and characterize medical wastes disposed of in the Rohingya refugee camp at Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. A cross-sectional, qualitative, and quantitative study was done. A total of 499 households, 30 solid waste collectors, 30 HCF workers, and 21 solid waste management (SWM) plant workers were interviewed by KoBo Toolbox. Monthly medical waste collection data from February to June 2022 was also collected. Data collection, processing, and statistical analysis were done using Origin Pro and SPSS software. It was found that the camps did not follow any specific guidelines for medical waste management except for a few segregations in healthcare facilities (HCF). Though 88% of the respondents were aware of the hazardous nature of medical waste, most of them disposed of these wastes in open places (49%) and drains (44%), and 70% did not segregate it from regular waste at the household level. Moreover, 73% of solid waste management workers found medical waste daily in communal bins. The HCF did not keep any records on the production of medical waste. Different types of medical waste were found in communal bins; glass bottles containing medicines were common among them. Data from the material recovery facility (MRF) of this camp showed that the highest amount of medical waste found in the communal bins was in April (65 kg) during the seasonal change from spring to summer and the lowest in February (12.7 kg). Moreover, HCF’s existing medical waste management practices were analyzed with SWOT and DPSIR framework. Based on all the findings, a comprehensive on-site and off-site management plan for medical waste is also proposed here. That will help the concerned prepare a camp medical waste management guideline.

Inequities in the physical activity of disabled young people in Aotearoa New Zealand: a stakeholder SWOT analysis of the physical activity sector.

Disabled people, particularly children and adolescents, tend to participate in less physical activity than their non-disabled peers on average. However, disabled children and youth (i.e., young people [YP]) are typically underrepresented in physical activity (PA) research, with little data available in Aotearoa New Zealand to guide policy makers to alter societal factors that contribute to disability inequities. The purpose of this study was to conduct a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis of the PA sector in Aotearoa New Zealand with respect to PA participation and promotion among disabled YP. Focus group discussions, underpinned by the SWOT framework, were facilitated with stakeholders (n=11) engaged in the Aotearoa New Zealand PA sector. Data were transcribed and analysed using content analysis. Desirable and accessible opportunities were essential enablers of PA in disabled YP. Communication, transport, equipment costs, awareness of activities, and social support were identified as factors that influence PA participation. Schools also have a considerable influence on PA participation among disabled YP, while greater funding for and cohesion/collaboration among PA providers is key to continued growth in PA participation. Communication, accessibility, funding, and collaborative/coordinated multi-level efforts were identified as areas in need of strengthening to provide equitable opportunities for disabled YP in Aotearoa New Zealand to participate in PA.

Analysis of China–Angola Agricultural Cooperation and Strategies Based on SWOT Framework

In the context of frequent food crises, Angola needs to improve the efficiency of agricultural production to meet the rigid domestic demand for food consumption. China has accumulated experience and technology in agricultural production over the years, it is a strategic partner for Angola, and Angola has a prominent place in the destination of Chinese investments. Therefore, agricultural cooperation between China and Angola based on mutual benefits will not only help Angola solve the problem of self-sufficiency in food but also provide a broad space for Chinese agricultural technology to “go global”, thereby providing reliable domestic food security solutions. Through the SWOT method, this study analysed Angola’s agricultural development prospects and the current situation of China and Angola’s agricultural cooperation to build a SWOT matrix and formulate reliable agricultural cooperation development strategies for promoting agricultural cooperation between China and Angola.

ANALISIS STRATEGI PEMASARAN BUAH NAGA MENGGUNAKAN BAURAN PEMASARAN (MARKETING MIX) DAN SWOT

This research aims to 1) determine the marketing mix strategy of dragon fruits in UD Sabila Farm, and 2) analyze the marketing strategy for dragon fruit in UD Sabila Farm using the SWOT framework. The study was conducted at UD Sabila Farm, Kaliurang Street Km. 18.5, Kertodadi, Pakembinangun, Pakem Sub-district, Sleman District, Yogyakarta. The research employed a qualitative descriptive methode with a case study approach. The data were gathered through the process of observation, conducting in-depth interviews, and documentation. Based on the results, it was mentioned that the applied marketing mix includes the 7P of the marketing mix applied are price, promotion, place, product, people, process, and physical evidence. The SWOT analysis revealed internal factors encompassing strengths and weaknesses, as well as external factors involving opportunities and threats. Firstly, the strengths of UD Sabila Farm are the excellent Agroeduwisata concept, strategic location, and use of certified seeds. Second, the weaknesses are plant diseases and infections that cause fluctuating production, and they are unable to optimize social media. Furthermore, the opportunities include high demand and an existing market, while the threats of UD Sabila Farm include increased competition and a high number of imported products in the market.

A Study on the Adaptability of Starbucks Organizational Management about Chinese Operation

The transnational catering industry is facing a significant challenge. To improve the quality of their services and their competitiveness, it is now of the utmost importance for transnational organizations to consider how to increase the leadership effectiveness by implementing the theory of organizational behavior. In this article, Starbucks serves as a case study to analyze such issues present in the transnational catering industry. The Starbucks globalization process, and the sinicization process, in particular, present a number of opportunities and threats that would be analyzed using the SWOT framework. In addition, this study would explore how Starbucks issues in China can be resolved using organizational behavior theory and four strategies, including strengthening corporate culture, building a learning team, implementing incentive mechanism, identifying individual differences among employees. In conclusion, the findings of this study can be illuminating for business leaders and transnational corporations develop more effective organizational models appropriate to the context and conditions of the modern business world.
