Boba drinks are drinks that are being sold in the market, but these drinks have a high sugar content, as well as calories that can cause several serious diseases, one of which is diabetes. So there is a need for health education to the public, one of which is through a social media platform, namely Tiktok. The purpose of this study is to see the effect of tiktok content on diabetes @farhanzubedi on knowledge, knowledge on intention to stop consuming boba, tiktok content on diabetes @farhanzubedi on intention to stop consuming boba, and tiktok content on diabetes @farhanzubedi on intention to stop consuming boba by Indonesian students through knowledge. Researchers use quantitative research methods by distributing questionnaires online to obtain data, then path analysis is used as a data analysis technique assisted by the SPSS application as a test tool. The results showed that @farhanzubedi's diabetes content affects knowledge among Indonesian students, knowledge affects intention to stop consuming boba, @farhanzubedi's diabetes content affects intention to stop consumption among Indonesian students, and @farhanzubedi's diabetes content affects intention to stop consuming boba through knowledge among Indonesian students.

Literacy Skills of Digital-Age Primary School Students in Mandailing Natal Regency

This research aimed to investigate literacy skills, the underlying causes of low literacy levels, and the implications for primary school students in the digital age. The researcher employed a qualitative field research methodology, collecting data through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and the utilization of Google Forms. The data analysis involved systematic reduction, presentation of findings, and the formulation of conclusions, all while employing coding techniques and categorizing themes. The findings indicate that the literacy skills of elementary school students in Indonesia remain significantly underdeveloped. A considerable number of students encounter difficulties in comprehending simple texts, organizing their thoughts in writing, and understanding the material presented by teachers. Additionally, they face challenges in grasping fundamental mathematics and science concepts, as well as effectively utilizing digital tools in their educational experiences. Several factors contribute to the observed low literacy levels, including a lack of supportive familial environments, inadequate integration of technology in educational settings, ineffective instructional models, and limited access to digital resources and training. The repercussions of insufficient literacy skills are evident in students’ difficulties in solving problems, accessing information, and articulating their thoughts, both verbally and in written form. To mitigate this issue, it is recommended that educators integrate digital tools into their pedagogical strategies. This can be achieved through the implementation of project-based learning and the use of educational podcasts disseminated via online platforms.

Penerapan Data Sains Untuk Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Berkelanjutan Dalam MSIB 6 Di PT Inovasi Lentera Cipta Kreasi

Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, number 3 of 2020 concerning National Standards for Higher Education, the Ministry of Education and Culture implements the Independent Learning Policy through the Independent Campus program which includes the Certified Independent Study and Internship (MSIB) program. Independent Campus collaborates with various industrial companies and other sectors throughout Indonesia to run the MSIB program. The purpose of this program is to provide experience, learning and opportunities for students in Indonesia to improve their skills and competencies in the world of work, so that they can adapt quickly to the demands of the times in the future. PT Inovasi Lentera Cipta Kreasi is one of the independent campus partners involved in implementing the Internship and Independent Study (MSIB) program. This company focuses on the field of data science and plays a role in developing superior human resources in information technology. This study discusses the application of data science for sustainable economic growth in the Batch 6 Independent Study program at PT Inovasi Lentera Cipta Kreasi. The research method used is Qualitative Descriptive by utilizing data, observations, researcher experiences during the Independent Study program, as well as information from books, journals and the website of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Internship and Independent Study (MSIB) is in accordance with the Provisions of the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of Indonesia number 3 of 2020 concerning National Standards for Higher Education. A total of 10 projects related to the application of science data in the MSIB program, all projects were successfully implemented.

Comparison of Indonesian students’ experiences in Japan and Indonesia: understanding global governance and self-efficacy in work readiness

ABSTRACT Globalization has intensified global interconnectedness and interdependence, demanding that higher education graduates possess global skills and knowledge. Internationalization of higher education aims to address these challenges. Students must understand global governance and develop a sense of global responsibility to participate effectively in international decision-making. Bandura’s Social Learning Theory (SLT) and Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) offer valuable insights into how students navigate internationalization. These theories suggest that students learn through observation and interaction with their environment, shaping their understanding of global citizenship and job readiness. This study compares the experiences of Indonesian students studying in International Programs at Universities in Japan and Indonesia, focusing on their understanding of global governance and self-efficacy in job readiness. Through qualitative interviews with 21 students, the research finds significant differences between the two countries’ approaches to internationalization. Students in Japan benefit from extensive global exposure through international internships and case studies, yet face challenges integrating with local Japanese communities, which affects their self-efficacy for adapting to local work environments. Conversely, Indonesian students gain valuable local engagement through the Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) program, enhancing their ability to address local challenges despite limited global exposure. The discussion suggests that combining global solid exposure and local interaction can better prepare students for global and domestic job markets, making them more adaptable and competitive. These findings highlight the importance of balancing global and local experiences in internationalization strategies.

Does Prezi Boost Learning Outcomes? Evidence from Elementary School Students In Indonesia

Objective: This study endeavours to determine students' learning outcomes after using Prezi as a learning medium in social studies courses in alignment with SDG 4. Theoretical Framework: Prezi's advantages for presentations include the ability to provide text, audio, and video, include links and PDF documents in a way that allows zooming in or out of content, and share presentations via the Internet or social networking sites. Method: This is an R&D study using an experimental research design of one group pretest-posttest for effectiveness test. This research utilizes samples determined based on Slovin's formula, selecting from a population of 75 students. After applying the formula, the required sample size is 64 fifth-grade elementary school students from Cluster Ki Hajar Dewantara. The instrument used is a cognitive achievement test for social studies students, utilizing Prezi-based learning techniques to collect data despite encountering technical challenges. Results and Discussion: The study analyzed the effect of Prezi media on fifth-grade students' learning outcomes in Social Sciences, particularly on Indonesia’s geographical conditions. Normality and homogeneity tests using SPSS 25.0 confirmed that the data was normally distributed (p = 0.071 > 0.05) and homogeneous (p = 0.336 > 0.05). A paired t-test showed a significant impact (Sig. 2-tailed = 0.000 < 0.05), indicating that Prezi media positively influenced learning outcomes. Research Implications: The study aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education) by evaluating Prezi's impact on learning outcomes in Indonesian elementary schools. Promoting digital learning supports inclusive, practical education and enhances student engagement, contributing to SDG 4's goal of improving learning quality through technology. Findings from this research can help educators adopt innovative teaching methods to enhance student comprehension and motivation. Originality/Value: This research examines Prezi’s impact on elementary student learning in Indonesia, providing empirical evidence on digital education effectiveness. It adds value by offering localized insights into educational technology in developing countries, helping educators and policymakers enhance teaching methods and support SDG 4 (Quality Education).

The evidence from coastal area in the correlation between climate change literacy and pro-environmental behaviour of student

Climate change literacy and pro-environmental behaviour have been proven to be one of the solutions to address climate change in the student’s perspective from several countries. Therefore, it is crucial to gain a comprehensive understanding of the relation between these two variables for the impact on climate change in Indonesia. The objective of this research was to analyse the relationship between climate change literacy and pro-environmental behaviour among senior high school students in Indonesia. A correlation study was conducted using a survey method. The samples were students from the X, XI, and XII grades of senior high school, collected using proportionate stratified random sampling. A total of 386 students from three schools participated in this survey. The test comprised a climate change awareness instrument to examine climate change literacy. Furthermore, a questionnaire was used to measure pro-environmental behaviour among high school students. Additionally, interviews were conducted to obtain comprehensive data. The results demonstrated a positive and highly significant relationship between climate change literacy and pro-environmental behaviour among senior high school students. This research highlighted that awareness of climate change causes and government policies related to climate change influenced pro-environmental behaviour.

Developing an ssi-based module on biotechnology to improve students' problem-solving and creative thinking skills

In the 21st century, education demands students to master essential skills like problem-solving and creative thinking. However, some studies show that Indonesian students, especially in biotechnology, still struggle with these skills. This highlights the need for effective teaching materials, such as SSI-based modules to help students improve their skills. This study aimed to develop a feasible module-based SSI on biotechnology, improve problem-solving and creative thinking skills, and evaluate students' responses to the module-based SSI on biotechnology. The module was developed using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The sample for this study was 60 students in 11th Grade Science Class from MAN Pematangsiantar. The research findings were as follows: 1) The module feasibility categorized as “excellent” in both media design and language, while model content categorized as “good” 2) The result of N-gain for problem-solving was 0.61 (medium) and creative thinking was 0.73 (high). 3) Students' responses to the module categorized as “excellent”. Based on these results, the module based-SSI on biotechnology is considered highly feasible and can be used as a learning material that enhances problem-solving and creative thinking skills.

The effect of website-based digital learning media on students' cognitive learning outcomes in class x biology material

This study examines the effect of website-based learning media on students' cognitive learning outcomes in class X Biology subjects. Using a quantitative research design with the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design model, this study involved 72 SMA Negeri 10 South Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi Indonesia students, who were divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group used website-based learning media, while the control group used PowerPoint media. The results showed a significant increase in the average value of cognitive learning outcomes in the experimental group compared to the control group, with an average N-Gain value of 0.36 (medium criteria) and 0.20 (low criteria), respectively. The use of website-based learning media proved to be more effective in improving learning outcomes because it was able to increase learner involvement, flexibility, and learning independence.

Language Learning Technologies to Support Indonesian EFL Students' Writing Skills: A Literature Review

The utilization of technology in educational settings, particularly in the context of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) instruction, exerts a substantial influence on students' writing abilities. This research study undertakes a comprehensive analysis of the impact of Technology Assisted Language Learning (TALL) on the writing proficiency of EFL students in Indonesia. The study is informed by a systematic review of diverse studies conducted over the past decade. The primary focus of this analysis is to examine how technological tools enhance students' writing abilities. The findings indicate that TALL enhances writing proficiency through interactive learning, prompt feedback, and collaborative activities. However, the study also identifies challenges, including a lack of teacher preparation and limited access to technology. The study's conclusion emphasizes that while TALL offers numerous benefits, addressing these issues is crucial to maximize its efficacy. Recommendations for optimizing TALL include increased investment in technology infrastructure, professional development for educators, and integration of TALL in the curriculum.

Speaking Anxiety and Factors in Indonesian EFL Tertiary Contexts: Exploring Proficiency Differences

Some people struggle with speaking English clearly due to nervousness, a phenomenon called speaking anxiety. This study examines speaking anxiety levels, their correlation with proficiency, contributing factors, and coping strategies. A survey of 96 Indonesian EFL students revealed that lower proficiency students faced significantly higher anxiety levels. Key factors included fear of negative evaluation (39%), personality traits (53%), and pedagogical influences (67%). Practising outside the classroom (57%) and positive lecturer feedback were effective in reducing anxiety. These findings highlight the importance of supportive learning environments. In conclusion, the study found that speaking anxiety levels were generally low but significantly affected by proficiency. Factors such as evaluation fear, personality, and teaching methods contributed to anxiety, while external practice and supportive feedback helped mitigate it.

The impact of web and cultural text-based extensive reading instruction (Webculteri) model to reading comprehension, reading habit and intercultural awareness among university students in Indonesia

Digital extensive reading has demonstrated benefits in enhancing students' reading skills; however, research on the integration of web-based technology and cultural texts remains limited. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of a web and cultural text-based extensive reading instruction (Webculteri) model in improving reading comprehension, reading habits, and intercultural awareness. Using a mixed method, the study involved seventy EFL students from a university in Kudus, Indonesia. The data were collected through a personalized extensive reading test, a reading habit questionnaire and interviews. The findings reveal that the experimental group’s mean test score (83) was significantly higher than the control groups’ (71.36), with a t test p value of 0.024, indicating the Webculteri model’s effectiveness in improving reading achievement. Additionally, the treatment led to improvements in reading habits and intercultural awareness. Moreover, the intervention fostered notable improvements in students’ reading habits and intercultural awareness. Participants reported increased engagement with diverse cultural texts and greater appreciation for intercultural differences, reflecting the model’s impact on fostering global perspectives. The findings underscore the Webculteri model's potential as a transformative instructional approach in EFL contexts, effectively integrating web-based technology and cultural texts to address multiple learning objectives. This innovative strategy not only improves reading achievement but also nurtures lifelong reading habits and intercultural competence, making it a valuable contribution to contemporary English language teaching practices. In conclusion, the integration of web-based technology and cultural text through the Webculteri model proves to be an effective approach for enhancing students’ reading comprehension, fostering positive reading habits, and promoting intercultural awareness in EFL contexts.

A new innovative metaverse ecosystem: VR-based human interaction enhances EFL learners’ transferable skills

The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of using IVR to help Indonesian EFL students cope with the twenty-first century. We examined 53 Indonesian university students in this study to see how immersive virtual reality (IVR) impacts their English as a Foreign Language (EFL) proficiency and transferable skill development. The pre-experimental design used a mixed methodology approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. Statistical analysis, using paired sample t-test and ANOVA, showed that post-test scores (mean = 84.72, SD = 7.83) were significantly higher than pre-test scores (mean = 58.96, SD = 8.16, p < 0.001). Using t-test and ANOVA, we compared students’ pre- and post-test EFL proficiency levels within and between the two groups. We analyzed the quantitative data with qualitative descriptions of changes in transferable skills and participants’ opinions about the impact of IVR on their English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and transferable skills. The integration analysis revealed that students felt an improvement in transferable skills, but their English skills still needed improvement in pronunciation and vocabulary. In addition, IVR helped undergraduate students overcome English learning difficulties. They reported a decrease in the anxiety they experienced when using IVR in real-life scenarios, although they saw it as a useful tool to improve transferable skills. According to the results of the study, IVR had a statistically significant effect on undergraduate students' transferability of skills. Although most users found IVR to be an engaging learning experience with realistic settings and fun activities, they recognized that the use of avatars could sometimes be a hindrance in designing stories using EFL. We offer implications for improving foreign language learning using IVR technology. By implementing the most effective teaching models in the metaverse, it is important to create, design, and manage VR platforms in a structured way that reflects modern student-oriented learning, learning satisfaction, and improve learning outcomes based on these results for future education, namely in design thinking, computational thinking, and critical thinking, as well as improving overall language competence. While research has found some difficulties in integrating IVR for language learning, it has also found substantial links between IVR use and greater engagement, critical thinking, and the development of creative skills in the twenty-first century.

Association between non-academic activities and professional identity formation of Indonesian medical students: a nationwide cross-sectional study.

This study explores the association between student involvement in non-academic activities (NAA) and the stages of professional identity formation (PIF) among Indonesian medical students. This cross-sectional survey was distributed to students in 50 medical schools, across both preclinical and clinical students in years 2-6. Respondents completed a Developmental Scale (DS) questionnaire to assess PIF and self-reported the number of hours spent on different NAA. Descriptive and bivariate analyses were performed; multiple linear regression was utilized to predict PIF. Indonesian medical students reported a median of 13 NAA hours and a median DS score of 5.07 on a scale of 7. NAA hours were significantly different across sex groups, years of study, university regions, and institution types. Female participants spent significantly more hours on NAA than male students and PIF was predicted by the number of hours spent on research and competition-related activities. Shifts between the types of NAA were also observed among year groups. NAA are positively associated with the PIF process, with students' active involvement in research and competitionrelated activities as predictors in this area. Supporting these activities becomes imperative for medical schools in order to optimize students' potential, motivation, and PIF.

The 7C Skills Framework: A Measurement Tool to Enhance Global Competence in Multicultural Learning Based on Engagement Theory

The need to understand global competence in higher education in Indonesia currently relies on the 7C skills measuring instrument, which originates from Western cultural contexts and may lead to potential biases. This study aims to develop a 7C skills measuring instrument grounded in engagement theory through theoretical studies, expert validation, empirical testing, and construct validity. Adopting an exploratory sequential mixed-methods design, the research was conducted in two phases: the qualitative phase followed by the quantitative phase. The qualitative phase aimed to conceptualize the development of the 7C skills measuring instrument based on engagement theory through theoretical studies and expert evaluations. The findings from the qualitative phase revealed that the 7C skills framework consists of seven dimensions: critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity, connectivity, computational thinking, and cross-cultural understanding. The instrument was tested on 385 university students in Indonesia and analyzed for feasibility, factor structure, and construct validity. As a result, the instrument was reduced to 61 items, as certain items did not meet eligibility criteria. These findings demonstrate that the 7C skills measuring instrument, grounded in engagement theory, is valid and applicable for university students in Indonesia. Additionally, this study contributes to both the refinement of engagement theory as the foundation for constructing the 7C skills framework and the advancement of engagement theory by integrating perspectives from motivational theory and environmental fit. The practical implications include the development of a more precise and applicable 7C skills measurement tool for various educational contexts, fostering the enhancement of 21st-century skills.

The Dynamics of Scientific Attitudes in Fostering Creativity: A Study on Secondary School

&lt;p id="docs-internal-guid-d3d29a17-7fff-c166-3f42-d71306406ad5" dir="ltr"&gt;Indonesian students' low science literacy underscores the need to foster a scientific attitude and creativity for 21st-century learning. This study examined the association between scientific attitudes and creativity among 112 grade 8 students from five secondary schools in Ponorogo Regency using quantitative methodologies and a cross-sectional design. Data were collected via Google Forms distributed through WhatsApp groups, employing the Scientific Attitude Inventory (SAI II) and a modified Kaufman Domains of Creativity Scale (K-DOCS). Analyses using t-tests, linear regression, and correlation tests revealed that perseverance, environmental sensitivity, and cooperation significantly predict scientific creativity. Furthermore, female students demonstrated higher persistence and environmental sensitivity than male peers. This study highlights the value of adaptable and context-based teaching strategies, such as project-based learning, to foster student’s broad development in their scientific mindsets and inventiveness.&lt;/p&gt;

International Students in Indonesia’s Religious Educational Institution: The Socio-Economic Impact &amp; Peace Building Initiative

Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim-majority nation, has a variety of religious schools. They wield a massive influence over society, culture, and the intellectual life of the nation. However, at the global school level, even with Indonesian religious secondary school strength using high institution standards, sponsored by several organizations, penetration is very small, particularly at the international students level. The main objective of this study is to investigate the possibility of religious educational institutions in Indonesia increasing their international student admissions and to highlight the socioeconomic and academic advantages that could provide to the country. This study adds to the literature by identifying Indonesia as an unusual example — a leading center of moderate religious education within a pluralistic society–and one that has received less attention in global religious studies debates. Moreover, it provides an intersectional account of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by Indonesia's religious educational facilities and recommendations for strengthening their international profile and presence in the global education ecosystem.
