Analysis of Student Satisfaction Level Towards Matriculation Teachers in Chemistry and Management Study Program of Tribuana Kalabahi University

The matriculation program at Tribuana Kalabahi University aims to help new students adapt to the academic environment through effective initial teaching. However, to ensure that this program runs according to students' expectations, a comprehensive eval_uation of the quality of teaching is needed. This study aims to eval_uate the satisfaction of new students of the Chemistry and Management Study Programs with matriculation teaching based on aspects of teaching quality, methods, and lecturer-student interaction. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a closed questionnaire on a Likert scale of 1-5 distributed to 59 matriculation students. Data analysis using descriptive statistics showed that 87.64% of Chemistry Study Program students and 90.53% of Management Study Program students were satisfied to very satisfied with the teaching provided. Based on the existing assessment criteria, this level of satisfaction places the quality of teaching in the very good category, although there were 11.72% and 9.45% of students in each study program who were quite satisfied, indicating room for improvement. In conclusion, matriculation teaching in both study programs has met students' expectations with a high level of satisfaction, but efforts to improve quality are still needed to achieve more optimal results

Development of a Desktop Application Based on Interactive Learning Multimedia for Introduction to Computer Hardware for Students of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program

This research is intended to create and develop interactive multimedia-based desktop application products that are effective and have advantages for use in learning to introduce computer hardware in PGMI study programs, and evaluate the benefits of these products in improving PGMI student learning outcomes. The development process of this research adopted the Alessi & Trollip development model with the following procedures, namely stage planning, stage design, and stage development. Product trials include an alpha test carried out by media experts and material experts, as well as a beta test involving 21 PGMI study program students. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations and questionnaires which were given to media experts, material experts and students as users. The results of the research show that interactive multimedia learning has been packaged in Disc format, and this multimedia product is considered very feasible by material experts, media experts, and trial participants.

El debate público y la reflexión conceptual: sistematización de una experiencia pedagógica en el aula de clase

The purpose of this paper is to systematize the pedagogical experience of its author who, using the activities of public debate and conceptual reflection in the Accounting Theory Seminar subject, manages to compose a pedagogical strategy composed of three moments: a priori individual conceptualization; public-collective debate and individual conceptualization a posteriori, which makes it possible to increase the comprehensive learning of the epistemological and conceptual nature of accounting in the students of this subject. The methodological structure has a qualitative and quantitative approach that allows to advance an exploration and description of the conception about Accounting of this group of students of the public accounting program of the North Cauca campus of the Universidad del Valle, enrolled during the first semester 2022. For this, analytical-deductive methods and research techniques of content and discourse analysis are used to determine, from a series of general (implicit and explicit) and specific (epistemological status) study categories, the degree of argumentative coherence presented by the concepts supplied by the student population. The results of the academic experience allow us to conclude that the application of the pedagogical strategy increases the understanding and learning about the epistemological statute and the conceptual structure of accounting, as well as generating a pleasant, dynamic and innovative space that encourages deliberation and confrontation of ideas in the university context, which results, finally, in the improvement of the formative processes of the students.

Exploring student acceptance of learning technologies in anatomy education: A mixed-method approach.

Anatomical education is transitioning from the time-honored cadaveric dissection to a blend of learner-centered and technology-enhanced learning approaches. In view of the increased use of various technologies for teaching and learning human anatomy, the aim of this study is to explore students' acceptance of four learning technologies using the technology acceptance model (TAM). This work was conducted at a graduate medical school in Singapore with first-year MD Program students. The acceptances of the four learning technologies were compared in two studies. In Study 1 (n = 46), we compared a 3D-printed (3DP) model with Primal Pictures to answer a clinical question in a Spine Anatomy Tutorial; in Study 2 (n = 55), we compared the Anatomage Table and Primal VR for a Brain Anatomy tutorial. There was a statistically significant preference (p < 0.05) for 3DP models over Primal Pictures for learning Spine Anatomy, and for Primal VR over Anatomage for learning Brain Anatomy. The perceived ease of use of any technology does not appear to influence the behavioral intention to use it. Qualitative feedback suggests that visualization and spatial relationships were among the most important facilitators of learning. Technology should be an enabler in learning but some technologies have a steeper learning curve than others. Therefore, to increase its perceived usefulness, educators must leverage the affordances of the technology when designing learning activities.

The Role of Ilha Study Program Students in Spreading the Values ​​of Religious Moderation on Social Media

The main aim of this research is to understand and analyze in depth how students from the Al-Qur'an and Tafsir Science Study Program (Ilha) play an active role in spreading the values ​​of religious moderation through social media. This research problem focuses on the important role of the younger generation, especially Ilha Study Program students, in facing the challenges of radicalism and intolerance which are often spread through social media. This research tries to answer the question of how Ilha Study Program students can become agents of change in spreading the values ​​of religious moderation in the digital space. Qualitative research method with field research type, conducting in-depth interviews with Ilha Study Program students to dig deeper into the i, challenges, strategies, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors they face in spreading the values ​​of religious moderation. The results of this research can provide a comprehensive picture of the role of Ilha Study Program students in spreading the values ​​of religious moderation on social media. identify strategies used by Ilha Study Program students, such as creating creative content, online discussions, social media campaigns, and collaboration with other parties. The challenges faced are lack of good understanding or just following trends, and manipulation of information or hoax news. The supporting and inhibiting factors for Ilha Study Program students in spreading the values ​​of religious moderation are the influence of peers, being quick and interactive, while the inhibiting factors are a lack of increasing understanding or reducing negative content on social media

Japanese Language Learners of Manado State University's Ability to Produce Long Duration Vowels /AA/, II/, /UU/, /EE/ and /OO/

Mastery of long vowel pronunciation in Japanese is an important aspect for learners, especially at Universitas Negeri Manado. Long vowels, such as /AA/, /II/, /UU/, /EE/, and /OO/, have a longer duration than short vowels. The purpose of this study was to determine the duration of long vowels produced by students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program and how they differ when compared to native speakers. This research was conducted on students of semester IX (nine) of Japanese Language Education Study Program of Universitas Negeri Manado and a native speaker. The method used is descriptive quantitative where the author processes the data recorded by the speakers using Speech Analyzer application which is a software application to analyze speech sounds to obtain data on the duration of long vowels. After that, it was processed again using Microsoft Excel to calculate the average duration of long vowels from the speakers' speech. The conclusion of this study is the duration of long vowels produced by students from the average obtained are: 149 ms on the vowel /aa/, 142 ms on the vowel /ii/, 127 ms on the vowel /uu/, 251 ms on the vowel /ee/, and 122 ms on the vowel /oo/. The duration mentioned above after being compared with native speakers the results tend to be shorter than native speakers. There are also significant differences with native speakers in some vowel positions in words such as the sound /_aa/ by AK (093 ms), JE (084 ms) and native speakers (195 ms).

Kemampuan Koneksi Matematis Mahasiswa pada Materi Aplikasi Barisan dan Deret dalam Ekonomi dan Bisnis

This study aims to identify the level of mathematical connection skills of students on the application material of rows and series in economics and business, and analyze the factors that influence it. This research is a descriptive research with a survey form. The research subjects were 1st semester students of IAIN Pontianak's Sharia Economics Study Program who had taken the course on the application of arithmetic ranks and series in economics and business. The procedure in this research consists of 3 stages, namely: 1) Preparation stage, 2) Implementation stage, 3) The final stage. The results of this study indicate that the mathematical connection skills of sharia economics students of IAIN Pontianak on the application material of rows and series in economics and business still need to be improved. Some students were able to answer all the questions correctly, but most were only able to answer some of the questions or none of them were correct. This shows that students' understanding of this material is very diverse. Some factors that may contribute to this result include: learning approach, lack of practice, perception of mathematics, and limited resources. To overcome this problem, various efforts are needed from both lecturers and students. Thus, it is hoped that students can be better prepared to face challenges in the world of work that require critical and analytical thinking skills.

THE CORRELATION AMONG WRITING INTEREST, LANGUAGE LEARNING STRATEGIES, AND PARAGRAPH WRITING ACHIEVEMENT

This research aims to determine the existence of a substantial association between language learning methodologies, writing interest, and paragraph writing achievement. The employed methodology was descriptive, and the design was correlational in nature. Forty-one students from STKIP Muhammadiyah Pagaralam were selected as the samples for this research. Two types of surveys and a paragraph writing achievement exam were conducted to gather the data. The research findings indicated that (a) a significant correlation existed between language learning strategies and paragraph writing achievement, (b) a significant correlation was found between writing interest and paragraph writing achievement, (c) a significant correlation was observed among language learning strategies, writing interest, and paragraph writing achievement, and (d) no significant correlation was identified between language learning strategies and writing interest. The finding indicates that language learning strategies and writing interest significantly correlate with the enhancement of paragraph writing achievement among sixth-semester students in the English education study program at STKIP Muhammadiyah Pagaralam.

The Impact of Socio-Demographic Factors on the Use of Digital Learning Platforms and Forms of Learning by Generation Z Engineering Students

The demands on higher education are increasing with the rise of generation Z. The emphasis is put on dynamism, a fast pace of teaching, dividing teaching into smaller blocks, alternating methods, digital tools, and using the possibilities of modern technologies. Educators must continually innovate and build improved pedagogical strategies in engineering to support student learning. Therefore, it is necessary to constantly innovate and build more sophisticated educational strategies with an impact on direct teaching and to support student learning. The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of socio-demographic factors (gender, field of study, and form of study) on the use of digital platforms and preferred forms of learning among Czech generation Z university students. The study emphasizes the preferences of generation Z students in engineering degree programs compared to students in economics and humanities degree programs. This comparison results from differences in teaching delivery and learning styles or methods. Hypotheses are tested using the Chi-square test and Cramer’s V. Engineering students prefer videos with a deeper explanation of the problem, and they mainly use the MS Teams platform and platforms allowing formative assessment and expression of their attitude. The practical implication of the study for education is mainly the identification of the basic characteristics of an appropriate educational strategy reflecting the needs of generation Z representatives. The article discusses the use of experimental and laboratory teaching. Similarly, as in the Czech Republic, also in the international environment, the project method, e-learning, gamification, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), or videos in microlearning format are used in working with generation Z in engineering education. The study highlights the need to explore the influence of social factors and gamification elements in learning.

Pengaruh Biaya Pendidikan dan Motivasi terhadap Pilihan Berkarir di Bidang Perpajakan

This study aims to determine the effect of perceptions of education costs, social motivation, and career motivation on career choices in the field of taxation with interest in participating in tax brevet as an intervening variable. This research method is a survey research method. This data collection was done by distributing questionnaires using google form. This research uses data analysis method using SmartPLS software version 3.0. This research was conducted on 100 respondents, namely students of the Accounting S1 Program at several universities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta that have a tax Brevet training program. The results showed that the perception of the cost of education, social motivation, and career motivation had a positive effect on interest in following tax brevet. Perceptions of education costs and social motivation have no effect on career choices in taxation. Career motivation has a positive effect on career choices in taxation. Interest in following the tax brevet does not affect the choice of a career in taxation. Perceptions of education costs, social motivation, and career motivation have no effect on career choice in taxation through interest in following tax brevet as an intervening variable.

Comparison of quality of life, anxiety, and depression levels based on acne vulgaris severity

Background: Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammation of the pilosebaceous unit. Although acne vulgaris is not fatal, it can cause psychological effects. This study aimed to compare the quality of life, anxiety, and depression levels based on the severity of acne vulgaris among medical students at Andalas University. Methods: This was an observational-analytic study with a cross-sectional design. It was conducted from May to June 2023. The population included the third-grade students of the Medical Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine, Andalas University, who had acne vulgaris. The respondents were 70 people, recruited with consecutive sampling techniques. This research used Lehmann classifications to classify acne severity, the Cardiff Acne Disability Index (CADI) to assess quality of life, and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21) to assess anxiety and depression. The statistical analysis used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Results: Most female respondents, aged 20 years old, experienced mild acne vulgaris (84.3%). Additionally, the respondents predominantly had mild quality of life disorders (80%), normal anxiety level (32.9%), and normal depression level (52.9%). The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test found no relationship between the severity of acne vulgaris with quality of life (p = 0.076), anxiety level (p = 0.623), and depression level (p = 0.751). Conclusion: The results showed that most respondents had mild acne vulgaris, mild impairment in quality of life, normal anxiety level, and normal depression level. Statistical tests revealed no significant association between the severity of acne vulgaris and these variables.

Trikaya Parisudha-based learning management system development: Enhancing digital literacy and numeracy competencies

This development research aimed to determine the validation level of the Trikaya Parisudha-based Learning Management System tool regarding digital literacy and numeracy literacy and to ascertain the practicality level of the Learning Management System tool simultaneously towards digital literacy and numeracy literacy among Primary School Education Study Program students. This research is categorized as R&amp;D using the 4D model. The study data were collected using questionnaires. The questionnaire for validity assessment was delivered to the content and media experts. The questionnaire to evaluate the practicality of the Learning Management System was distributed to the students and lecturers of the Primary School Education Study Program at STAHN Mpu Kuturan Singaraja. Then, the data were analyzed quantitatively. This study found that the media, materials, and language of the Trikaya Parisudha-based Learning Management System developed were deemed valid by three experts. In terms of its practicality, this study confirmed that the Trikaya Parisudha-based Learning Management System media were categorized as very practical. Integrating the Trikaya Parisudha philosophy, which is deeply rooted in local cultural values, underscores the significance of embedding cultural context into educational resources, potentially improving students’ engagement and producing a more comprehensive educational experience that aligns with students’ backgrounds.

English Introduction Activities for Children Aged 5-6 Years Through Storytelling Methods at TK Negeri Pembina, Baubau City

English is an international language that dominates today's digital-era society. English needs to be applied early on to children because it can benefit them greatly. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to introduce English to children aged 5-6 years by using the storytelling method in class. The English focus on this PkM activity was one of the components of English, namely vocabulary. This Community Service is carried out by lecturers and students of the PGPAUD Study Program at the Muhammadiyah University of Buton at the Pembina State Kindergarten in Baubau City. Children of the Pembina State Kindergarten in Baubau City aged 5-6 years are the target of this PkM activity. The application of the storytelling method and coloring animal characters from the story were combined in this PkM activity to help children get to know English, especially increasing children's English vocabulary and making children enthusiastic about learning English. The results obtained from this PkM activity were by using the storytelling method and after coloring animal characters from the story, children's English vocabulary about animal names increased. The results were taken from questions and answers about the vocabulary of animal names in English to children. The storytelling method can improve children's English vocabulary and make children enthusiastic about getting to know and learn English.

Company Attractiveness, Corporate Reputation, and Recruitment Websites as Determinants of Job Application Intentions (Case Study of Islamic Banking Study Program Students)

Research Aims: The research aims to examine and analyze the influence of company attractiveness, company reputation and recruitment website on job application intentions in the sharia banking industry. Methodology: The respondents were sharia banking students in Yogyakarta, with a sampling technique using purposive sampling with a total sample of 145 respondents. The analysis tool used is WarpPLS 7.0. Research Findings: The results of the research show that company attractiveness has a positive and significant effect on intention to apply, company reputation and recruitment website do not have a significant effect on intention to apply for work and recruitment websites are proven to be able to moderate the influence of company attractiveness and company reputation on job application intentions. Theoretical Contribution: The research findings identify the factors that serve as strengths, making them attractive to potential applicants based on the Theory of Reasoned Action. Research limitation and implication: Islamic banks in Indonesia should pay closer attention to company attractiveness, particularly regarding the value that potential employees will gain. Similarly, regarding corporate reputation, Islamic banks must continue to maintain their well-established reputation among employees and the surrounding community.

Design of BIPA Teaching Materials in the Riau Islands Context for Darmasiswa Students

Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) is Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) is a learning program to help foreign students learn Indonesian and familiarize themselves with its culture. This study aims to design an Indonesian language learning book for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) by highlighting the culture of the Riau Islands at a university in Batam using audio-visual aids, especially for Darmasiswa Republic of Indonesia students. The aim of this research is to design Indonesian language teaching materials for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) that focus on the cultural context and local wisdom of the Riau Islands, especially for Darmasiswa program students. This research found that it is critical to include interactive and culturally relevant resources in BIPA training, using research and development (RnD) methodology using interviews as the instrument. There were 6 Darmasiswa students who were interested in learning Indonesian who were the subjects of the research. In collecting the data, interviews were conducted and to analyze the data the researchers transcribed the data that had been obtained. The results of this research shed new light on the process used to create BIPA teaching material books that can be used for learning for foreign students at the Riau Islands level. This shows that making BIPA textbooks interactive with audiovisual components and adding interactive sections can increase student interest and participation. BIPA learning can be brought closer to the goals and ability levels of students by practicing efficient strategies to overcome discovered deficiencies and redesigning learning materials to increase interaction, diversity and cultural relevance. The implication of this research is that providing BIPA teaching materials designed with the context of the Riau Islands can provide significant benefits for the learning of Indonesian language and culture by Darmasiswa students.

Investigation the Current State of University Physics Teaching: A Case Study of Taishan University

University Physics is a foundational course offered to undergraduate students in science and engineering programs outside of physics majors and it represents a foundational discipline in science and engineering education. However, traditional University Physics instruction has many areas in need of improvement. A questionnaire for undergraduate students was prepared and implemented in order to grasp the current status of teaching and learning of University Physics at our institution. Based on the statistical analysis of the survey data, the learning and teaching status of University Physics courses were identified, and teaching suggestions to improve the quality of classroom instruction were proposed.

Exploring Anxiety in EFL Students' Speech Production

Speaking anxiety is a prevalent issue that significantly hinders the learning process for students of English as a Foreign Language (EFL). This study aims to explore the causes of speaking anxiety among EFL students at PSDKU Aru and to identify coping strategies that may help mitigate the anxiety. The significance of this research lies in its focus on understanding the multifaceted nature of speaking anxiety, which includes both psychological and physiological dimensions, and its impact on students' ability to learn and communicate effectively in English. Data were collected from 37 students in the English Education Study Program using a structured questionnaire, which measured different types of anxiety, contributing factors, and the coping mechanisms students adopted. Results revealed that a substantial number of students experienced various forms of speaking anxiety, such as nervousness, tense body language, and fear of negative evaluation. Factors contributing to this anxiety include lack of vocabulary, fear of making grammatical errors, and low self-confidence. Several strategies were used by students to manage their anxiety, such as regular practice, relaxation techniques, and positive thinking. The findings of this study suggest the need for targeted interventions in educational practices to create a supportive learning environment that encourages students to overcome anxiety and become more confident speakers of English. This paper provides insights that can assist educators in designing effective teaching methods to alleviate the impact of speaking anxiety on EFL learners.

Research Results: 1) The average effect of volleyball games on increasing the physical fitness of male students is 2.431666667. 2) The average effect of volleyball games on the physical fitness of female students is 3.001666667. 3) The difference in the effect of volleyball games on improving physical fitness between male and female students is an average difference of 0.57.

A Pre-Adoption Assessment of a Collaborative Care Approach to Dental-Fear Treatment

Background: With an estimated global prevalence rate of over 30%, dental fear is a ubiquitous public health phenomenon. Dental fear’s adverse effects on patient oral health and quality of life are well established; the stresses and financial repercussions it can pose to providers are increasingly recognized. Although dental fear is highly treatable, a disseminable intervention that satisfies the needs of patients and dental care providers has yet to be realized. Objectives: We sought to understand allied dental professionals’ experiences treating patients with dental fear and their impressions of, and receptivity to, a stepped-care approach, including perceived barriers and facilitators to its adoption. Methods: Thirteen semi-structured focus groups comprising students in (a) current dental hygiene programs and (b) other dental programs, who had prior experience working as licensed dental hygienists or allied professionals (i.e., dental assistants, dental therapists, dental treatment coordinators; N = 49) were conducted. Focus group discussions were recorded, transcribed, and thematically analyzed. Results: Participant responses supported the need for innovation in managing dental fear in practices, and supported hygienists as likely facilitators of any new behavioral approach. Overall, participants were receptive to the idea of a stepped-care treatment approach but identified several factors (e.g., accessibility, costs, treatment credibility) that would need to be addressed for its adoption by patients and dental professionals. Conclusion: A stepped-care approach to dental fear treatment has promise to meet the needs of patients and dental professionals. Potential barriers and facilitators to adoption provide a roadmap for future intervention refinement and efficacy testing.
