THE INFLUENCE OF THE BLENDED LEARNING METHOD AND USAGE YOUTUBE VIDEO MEDIA ON STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES CLASS X OF SMAN PAKUSARI IN ENGLISH LESSON

Problem-based learning models can be combined with learning media to generate new desires and interests, generate motivation and stimulate learning activities and even bring psychological influences such as blended learning methods and YouTube video media that combine or mix face-to-face learning and computer-based learning.. This experimental research used a pre-test post-test control group design. Data collection tools used pre-test and post-test methods. Instrument analysis used: normality test and homogeneity test. Hypothesis analysis using t-test. The difference is clearly visible from the experimental class and control class as stated between learning using the Blended Learning method and youtube media and without youtube media. The value of sig 2 tailed is 0.00 where the value of sig is below the value of 0.005 which means that there are differences in student learning outcomes using the blended learning method without youtube media and with youtube media.Based on the results of research on the effect of the Blended learning method using YouTube video media on student learning outcomes in English subjects. Therefore, educational institutions are expected to make policies to improve the quality of learning, especially in developing a more student-centered learning model or better known as student-centered learning

The Concept And Role Of The Student Centered Learning Model In Adolescent Akhlaq Education

One of the extrinsic causes of moral decadence in adolescents is the failure of teachers to teach akidah Akhlaq material. Where the lessons of Akidah Akhlaq fail to be lived and practiced in daily life by students. The learning model is a contributing factor to successes and failures in teaching. This paper aims to describe the role of the Student Centered Learning learning model in adolescent moral education towards the material of Akhlak akidah in madrasahs. The research carried out is qualitative research with literature studies. The researchers found that SCL patterns in Akidah Akhlaq learning influenced teachers' success in teaching. The application of SCL for learners provides hands-on experience in learning. Akidah Akhlaq's learning becomes more meaningful. If you have found concrete meaning in learning, it will facilitate the steps towards the process of passion and practice in life. Through the characteristics of active, constructive, collaborative, enthusiastic, dialogical, contextual, reflective, multisensory, and high-order learning skills training provides satisfactory learning outcomes. The education of akhlaq teenagers in this age is something very important considering how difficult the morals of today's teenagers are. The SCL method can be applied to support the success of moral education in adolescents.

Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa pada Materi Keanekaragaman Hayati di Kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Pulau Taliabu

Abstract: Project Based Learning (PjBL) is a student-centered learning model aimed at fostering a more disciplined and creative attitude, active learning so that it influences student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the 1 Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on learning outcomes on biodiversity material in class X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Taliabu Island. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a pretest and posttest control grup design. The research was conducted in the odd semester of 2022/2023. The population of the study was all student of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Taliabu. The sampel consisted of 2 classes, class X MIPA 1 was gathered by 10 people as the control class, and class MIPA 2 was gathered by 19 people as the experimental class. The data analysis technique used the normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test using the SPSS application. The results showed that there was no significant effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on the learning outcomes of class X MIPA students at SMA Negeri 6 Taliabu Island with a t-count < t-table, namely 0.198 < 1.703 and a significant value of 0.844 > 0.05. This study can be concluded that it rejected, and stated there is on significant effect of used Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on student learning outcomes on biodiversity material in class X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Taliabu Island. Quantum Flipped Learning and Students’ Cognitive Engagement in Achieving Their Critical and Creative Thinking in Learning

The 21st century as the information age implies that everyone, including students, must be literate in the development and advancement of knowledge-based information and communication technology. That is, students in schools as early as possible must be invited to build 21stcentury knowledge and skills, namely 4C skills. To accommodate this, the learning model must accommodate student centered learning models, one of which is quantum flipped learning (QFL) as a substitute for direct flipped learning (DFL). The aims of this study were 1) to analyze the main and interactive effect between the QFL model vs. the DFL model and students' cognitive involvement on their critical and creative thinking in learning physics. To achieve this goal, experimental research was conducted using a post test only control group design. The population of this research is high school students of class XI SMAN 4 Singaraja, and the sample is 4 classes selected by class random technique. The research data were collected with critical thinking tests, creative thinking tests, and cognitive engagement questionnaires. The research data were analyzed using two-way multivariate analysis of variance. Hypothesis testing was carried out at a significance level of 5%. The results showed that 1) critical thinking and creative thinking of students who studied with the QFL model were higher than students who studied with the DFL model, 2) students who had high cognitive engagement showed critical thinking and creative thinking skills that were not different from students who had low cognitive engagement, 3) there is no interactive effect between the learning model and students' cognitive involvement on critical thinking and creative thinking. The implication of this research is that to achieve optimal critical thinking and creative thinking, physics learning will be better if using the QFL model, students who have low cognitive engagement to be guided and motivated in learning to be able to increase their cognitive engagement in learning, both levels of cognitive involvement students are accommodated by both models.

Implementasi Kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Dalam Meningkatkan Kompetensi Siswa

This study aims to provide an overview of the implementation of independent learning policies in improving student competence. The research method used is library research, namely journal articles, proceedings, research reports and so on. Independent learning is a policy that aims to create freedom and independence for students and teachers in the learning process. The results of this study are (1) independent learning includes 4 important points, namely changing the national exam to a minimum competency assessment, the provision of national standard school exams carried out entirely by schools, simplification of learning implementation plans, and the existence of a zoning system. (2) the problems of independent learning include the lack of teacher ability in conceptualizing and implementing independent learning (3) the need for innovation in student-centered learning models, developing teacher qualifications, and collaboration between educators and education staff. Freedom to learn helps students and teachers to be independent in thinking, imitating, independent, creative and independent for happiness.

The Construction of a Combined OBE-based Teaching Model

This paper proposes a teaching model based on the concept of outcome-based education (OBE). OBE is meant to be a student-centered learning model. Based on OBE, the characteristics of project-based learning (PBL) and lecture-based teaching approach are analyzed. Then, a combined teaching model is constructed based on Acharya’s research findings and PBL. This proposed model integrates PBL and lecture-based teaching approach to help achieve ideal learning outcomes. It enhances learners’ learning initiative and creativity while ensuring holistic and systematic learning outcomes.

INVESTIGATING INDONESIAN EFL TEACHERS’ PERCEPTIONS ON THE INTEGRATION OF ICT IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING

In this modern era, meaningful ELT enterprises cannot be detached from contextual ICT integration. It is strongly believed that the accurate internalization of ICT potentially promotes a more student-centered learning model where EFL learners can elevate their target language competencies to the utmost levels. This current small-scale qualitative study attempted to specifically investigate Indonesian EFL teachers’ perceptions on the integration of ICT in English language learning. To fulfill this research objectivity, 5 open-ended written narrative inquiry questions were administered to 2 experienced Indonesian EFL teachers possessing advanced technology skills. Based on the obtained research results, the further utilization of ICT in nowadays ELT processes since EFL learners have progressively transformed into more vigorous, autonomous, proactive, and proficient target language academicians. Concerning the significant advancement of this present study, future researchers are strongly encouraged to involve a greater number of Indonesian EFL teachers experiencing more variegated backgrounds in using ICT and incorporate a wide variety of research instruments to produce more generalizable research results.

Group Investigation Flipped Learning in Achieving of Students’ Critical and Creative Thinking Viewed from Their Cognitive Engagement in Learning Physics

In 21st century, students in schools especially in learning physics must be facilitated with student centered learning models that are integrated with technology, such as group investigation flipped learning (GrIFL) as instead of direct flipped learning (DFL) model. This study aims to analyze the main and interactive effects between the GrIFL model and the DFL model on students' critical and creative thinking viewed from their cognitive ingagement in learning physics. To achieve this goal, experimental research was conducted using a post test only control group design. The sample was selected by class random technique. The research data were collected by critical thinking tests, creative thinking tests, and cognitive engagement questionnaires. The research data were analyzed using two-way multivariate analysis of variance. The results showed that the critical thinking and creative thinking of students who studied with the GrIFL model were higher than students who studied with the DFL model; students who had high cognitive engagement showed the same critical thinking skills as those who had low cognitive involvement, but creative thinking of students who have high cognitive involvement is higher than students who have low cognitive involvement; there is no interactive effect between learning models and students' cognitive ingagement on critical thinking and creative thinking. The implication of this research is that in order to achieve optimal critical thinking and creative thinking, physics learning will be better if using the GrIFL model.

PENGARUH PENERAPAN STRATEGI THINK TALK WRITE TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA

The reality that occurs shows that students' mathematics learning achievement has not been in line with expectations. Students' mathematics learning outcomes based on test scores, there are still many students whose scores are below the specified KKM, which is 77. If you pay attention when learning takes place, it seems that many students are less interested in learning mathematics. Especially if the math class is at the last hour. This is one of the obstacles students are not motivated to learn mathematics. In addition, learning activities have not optimized student-centered learning models, so that the learning process feels less interesting so that students' understanding of mathematical concepts is still low. This study aims to determine the effect of the TTW strategy in improving learning outcomes in terms of understanding students' mathematical concepts. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental). The population in this study were students of class XI SMAN 1 Painan, class XI IIS 4 as the experimental class and class XI IIS 1 as the control class. The instrument used is a concept understanding test. The results of the hypothesis in this study are that students' understanding of mathematical concepts who take part in learning using the TTW type cooperative learning model is higher than students who use conventional learning. This means that the TTW type cooperative learning model has a good effect on students' conceptual understanding.

GIReSiMCo: A Learning Model to Scaffold Students’ Science Process Skills and Biology Cognitive Learning Outcomes

The discovery of new knowledge is inseparable from the process of determining whether that applies science process skills (SPS). Science process skills are essential for students to develop science. This study aimed to determine the effect of the GIReSiMCo (Guided Inquiry, Reading, Sharing, Mind Mapping, and Communication) learning model as a new guided inquiry on students’ SPS and cognitive learning outcomes. A quasi-experimental research design was applied in biology classrooms at seven senior high schools for one semester. One hundred and twenty-six eleventh-grade students who were interested in mathematics and natural sciences were selected as the research sample. In this study, the application of the GIReSiMCo learning model was compared to that of a guided inquiry model, the Reading Mind Mapping Sharing (RMS) model, and traditional learning models. The two dependent variables are science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes. The data collection instrument for the two variables is in the form of an essay test. The reliability of the instrument test was 0.75 for cognitive learning outcomes, and 0.68 for SPS. The dependent variable data were analyzed using the ANCOVA test. The result showed that the GIReSiMCo learning model had a higher impact on students’ cognitive performance and SPS, compared to the traditional learning models. In short, the GIReSiMCo learning model can enhance students’ SPS and cognitive learning outcomes. The GIReSiMCo as a student-centered learning model is recommended in Biology learning.

The Student-centered STEM Learning Model Based on Artificial Intelligence Project: A Case Study on Intelligent Car

Artificial intelligence has become a crucial technology for the development of the times. In the practice of emerging engineering education about artificial intelligence, how to enhance students' understanding of artificial intelligence technology, strengthen students' enthusiasm for learning, and improve their research and application innovation ability is a key issue. This study constructs a student-centered STEM learning model that emphasizes innovative applications, so as to promote project-based learning effects for students, reduce learning burnout as well as improve their research and application capabilities. We take the design improvement and experimental result analysis of the intelligent car target tracking system as an example and verifies the effectiveness of the learning model through multi-dimensional evaluation and comparative experiments. Under the same experimental equipment and necessary project functions, we divide students into STEM learning groups and traditional project learning groups to carry out learning activities. This study focused on the learning process of the STEM learning group. The empirical analysis shows that the project completion time and quantitative evaluation of the effects are better than the general learning model.

Development Of Guided Inquiry-Based Flipped Classroom Learning System On Reaction Rate For 11th Grade Senior High School Students

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused many life changes, including education. Learning that was previously done face-to-face must be done online. The guided inquiry was a student-centered learning model, in which the students can build their own concepts so that learning can be more meaningful. In order to support this, a flipped classroom was needed that allowed teachers and students to optimize study time. This study aimed to develop and reveal the validity and practicality of the guided inquiry-based flipped classroom learning system on the reaction rate material for 11th-grade high school students. This research used a Research and Development (RnD) with the Plomp development model. The subjects of this study were students of class XI SMA, chemistry teachers, and chemistry lecturers at Padang State University. The instruments used were validity sheets for validity test and practicality sheets for practicality test.

PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN PBL PADA SISWA SMPN 1 TEMPEH

The aim of this study is to use a problem-based learning model to improve student learning outcomes in science subjects. SMPN 1 Tempeh is the site of study. Class VII-E was the test sample. The action research approach was used in this study. The data collection method was put to the test. Regular test questions were included in the study's instrument. Excel is used to validate data. Types of essay exams (objective description). According to the calculations, the mean value of cycle I was 81.05 and the mean value of cycle II was 94.74, meaning that cycle II's learning outcomes were higher than cycle I's, with a 14.45 percent improvement in learning outcomes. Finally, the student-centered PBL learning model, in which students find problems and solve them, will help students develop their science learning outcomes in energy content.

Using Flipped Classroom to Improve the Learning Effectiveness of Digital Logic Courses

As a student-centered learning model, flipped classroom has been increasingly preferred among educators since it has changed the traditional teacher-centered learning model. This study conducted experiments and observations on the flipped classroom for digital logic courses for first-year students in the electrical engineering department of a junior college in Taiwan. Before each class, these students were required to watch the prescribed lecture video units. In class, students discussed with group members after thinking and completed the teacher’s requirements by collaboration. In addition to conducting the activities of thinking, discussion, collaboration and observation, these students also got to exercise their expression skills through interactive activities during class time. Analyzing the learning effectiveness with the Panel Data Method (PDM), this study, by comparing and statistically analyzing the data collected during the four years between 2016 and 2019, found that students reaped better learning performance with the flipped classroom model, as shown by a rise in both their average grade and the pass rate.

Analisis Etnosains Dalam Pembelajaran IPA di SekolahDasar (SD) Kota Padang Dan Bukittinggi

This article seeks to address ethno science employed in the teaching of elementary school. Ethno science is a strategy which creates learning environment and designs learning experience by integrating culture into the learning process at elementary school. Ethnoscience shows authentic instructional materials, classrooms, learning environment, learning method as well as culture-based approach. Learning process would be effective when ethnoscience is integrated in learning topics. Those are, for instance, concerned with rituals, traditional house, traditional medicines and other cultural knowledge relevant to ethnoscience learning. It can be applied through student-centered learning model by such methods as problem based learning, project based learning, discovery, inquiry and process skill. Ethnoscience learning can explore the students’ declarative and constructivist- procedural based knowledge.

The Initial Training of Science Teachers in African Countries: A Systematic Literature Review

This study presents a systematic literature review (SLR) on the initial training of science teachers in Africa based on selected research articles, in the period 2000–2020, that emphasize the importance of surveying knowledge that goes beyond those that historically have a longer path in the building of scientific knowledge, such as that of European or North American countries. The analysis included a total of 31 articles from the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus databases. The findings indicate a lack of knowledge, or at least visibility, considering the initial training of African teachers, particularly in developing countries. South Africa leads the number of publications. Within the five African countries implied in the SLR the following outputs were identified: (i) a division between teacher education research that is ‘place-based’ and one that uses (only) ‘universal theories’ (such as Vygotsky and Bandura); (ii) a tension between the application of student-centered learning and teaching models and more traditional classroom practices. Finally, the majority of articles highlight the importance of investing in further research around teacher education. Based on these outputs the importance of international cooperation in teacher education research articulating theory and practice to ensure a global and local perspective towards sustainable development is reinforced.

The Impact of COVID-19 Home Confinement on Mexican University Students: Emotions, Coping Strategies, and Self-Regulated Learning.

One of the main challenges in higher education is promoting students' autonomous and self-regulated learning, which involves managing their own emotions and learning processes in different contexts and circumstances. Considering that online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic may be an opportunity for university students to take greater responsibility for their learning, it is essential to explore the strategies they have developed in the face of emotional and learning challenges during the health crisis. This study aimed at analyzing the relationships between students' emotions, coping strategies, and self-regulated learning in online learning during COVID-19 home confinement. The participants were 1,290 Mexican students from different universities throughout the country, who answered an online self-report questionnaire from standardized instruments adapted to the pandemic. Data were analyzed with descriptive and inferential analyses, including a structural equation model (SEM). Findings indicate that, although anxiety, boredom, and frustration were present among participants during confinement, the primary emotions were gratitude, joy, and hope. Second, the main coping strategies used by students participating were focused on facing and reassessing the situation. Furthermore, tranquility, hope, gratitude, and joy were positively related to self-regulated learning, although, loneliness and disinterest were negatively related. Finally, it was found that an approach to coping strategies mediated the relationship between emotions and self-regulated learning. Thus, teachers should help students understand the relevance of active coping strategies and use student-centered learning models that promote autonomous and self-regulated learning, considering each learner's needs, during and after confinement.

Meta Analisis Pengaruh Integrasi Pendidikan STEM dalam Model Project Based Learning Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa

Education is essentially an activity carried out by students which results in changes in themselves. This principle implies that what must be prioritized is the learning activities of students instead of something that is given to students. STEM-based learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) can train students to apply their knowledge to create designs as a form of solving environmental problems by utilizing technology. The learning model recommended for use in the 2013 curriculum is a student-centered learning model, one of which is the Project Based Learning model. This study will analyze how much influence STEM education with the PjBL model has on student learning outcomes. This study uses a meta-analysis method. determined via the Effect Size (ES). Research data were obtained from 25 national and international journals. The meta-analysis study is based on three categories, namely education level, subjects and student learning outcomes. The results showed that; first, the influence of the PjBL model of STEM education based on the level of education is most effective in SMP. ES value = 1.89 and categorized as high. Second, based on the type of subject, the most effective influence of the PjBL model of STEM education is Mathematics. ES value = 3,7 and categorized as high. Third, based on student learning outcomes, the influence of the PjBL model of STEM education is the most effective in the aspect of skills. ES value = 1.68 and categorized as high.

Penanaman Nilai-Nilai Karakter dengan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning pada MKWU-PAI di Perguruan Tinggi Umum

Education is not just about the learning process for knowledge, understanding, and skills, but the substance of education is to shape human character with good values ​​that come from norms, ethics, customs, and religions. By referring to the five pillars of character found in strengthening character education in Indonesia, the inculcation of character values ​​in the education process requires an appropriate, appropriate, and effective learning model approach. One of the learning model approaches to instill character values ​​is the student-centered learning model approach or learning model that provides flexibility for students to be active, creative, innovative, inspirational, interactive, independent, collaborative, cooperative, and contextual. There is harmony between the student-centered learning approach and character education because both instill and foster good character values. The methods used to support the learning process referred to are discussion, problem-based, and project-based methods. Based on that, this research is a development (research and development) that starts from the process of developing, collaborating, and perfecting the learning model between the values ​​of strengthening character education and the student-centered learning approach at MKWU-PAI in Public Universities.

Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dalam Meningkatkan Sikap Demokratis Mahasiswa

The purpose of this study was to describe: 1) How to implement civic education and learning to develop a democratic attitude and learning participation; 2) How to design a civic education learning model based on controversial issues in the mass media to develop a democratic attitude and student learning participation; 3) Based on the public To what extent can the civic education learning model of media controversial issues develop democratic attitudes and student participation in learning? It is indeed necessary to consider adopting appropriate learning methods to improve and discover students’ understanding of the knowledge conveyed by the teacher. Learning model Problem-based learning or problem-based learning is a student-oriented or student-centered learning model. Problem-based learning models have methods to deal with real-life problems, and this learning emphasizes problem-solving investigation activities. This research is a scientific paper. When using a problem-based learning learning model, a descriptive qualitative research method with a phenomenological description type is used to describe the learning process extensively and deeply. By paying attention to and analyzing the focus of reality or field experience that occurs on the research object. The object of the study is the students of HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar University, and the standard of study is the students participating in the civic education seminar.
