ABSTRACT There is a dearth of investigations specifically focused on the domain of dance that focuses on a choreographer’s management approach and its influence on commitment of students from competitive dance teams in the higher education context. Furthermore, the direct influence of choreographers’ duration of service and level of commitment of student-dancers remains unexplored in the existing literature. The present study determined how choreographers’ managerial approaches and years of service influence student-dancers’ commitment levels in Philippine higher education institutions. The survey was administered to a purposively selected sample of choreographers and student-dancers. The study found no relationship between choreographers’ managerial approach, years of service, and student-dancers’ commitment. To confirm or disprove this research, a similar study is recommended.
