Penggunaan Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Komunikasi dan Kolaborasi Peserta Didik Kelas X

This study aims to improve communication and collaboration of students in class X-3 SMA Islam Sultan Agung 1 Semarang in learning Biology virus material through Problem Based Learning model. Problem Based Learning is a learner-centered learning model, where learners face real problems that require solutions through collaboration and active communication with discussion groups and classmates. This type of research is a class action research (PTK) consisting of two cycles, in each cycle there are two meetings. Each cycle has three stages, namely planning (Plan), implementation (Do), and reflection (See). The subjects in this study were X-3 class students totaling 30 female students. Each research cycle, students were given a problem relevant to the virus material and they were expected to work together in groups to solve the problem. During this process, they had to communicate with fellow group members, discuss, and design solutions to the problem. Data collection techniques used through observation sheets, and documentation as research data. Data analysis was made descriptively qualitative. The results showed that the application of Problem Based Learning can improve students' communication and collaboration skills on virus material. This can be seen from cycle 1 the recapitulation of communication results of 68.60% increased to 80.80% in cycle 2. The increase in collaboration skills from cycle 1 amounted to 71.60% to 89.67% in cycle 2. The conclusion of this study is that by using the Problem Based Learning learning model there is an increase in communication and collaboration skills of students.

Integration of architecture and communication: a transversal learning methodology empowered by artificial intelligence tools

With the growing implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the architectural field, significant challenges arise in education with ethical and social connotations. In the context of Architecture and Communication degrees, AI emerges as an essential tool, especially in the initial stages of architectural design in exploring ideas and conceptualizing projects. This article addresses the complexity inherent in using AI in architecture, highlighting its fundamental contribution to improving visual representation through textual algorithms, and analyzes the relevance of communication as a scientific discipline. In this context, communication in architecture is directed towards advertising and the effective transmission of messages. The article presents a methodology focused on detecting didactic errors among architecture and communication students, thanks to multidisciplinary collaboration. In conclusion, it is highlighted that the appropriate use of AI can boost the generation of creative ideas, allowing students to direct them and complement them in technical aspects. This study highlights the importance of effectively integrating AI into academic training, highlighting its benefits in improving creativity and precision in architectural communication.

Information Technology - Communication in Teaching Attitude and University Students

The objective of this research is to characterize the attitude of teachers and university students according to communication and information technology. We evaluate 34 teachers and 142 students and selected by stratified probabilistic sampling, to whom an evaluative test of attitudes towards the use of information and communication technology (ICT) was applied, carrying out a bivariate analysis with the Z test of proportions. A favorable attitude (technophilia) was found in 97% of teachers compared to 90% of students. For this case we have a difference of 7%, confidence interval of -5% to 13%, chi-square of 1.7 with p value p=0.19.

PERCEPTIONS OF TUVAN STUDENTS ABOUT THE RELEVANCE OF THE TUVAN LANGUAGE IN THE MEDIA SPACE

Purpose. The article examines the relevance of the Tuvan language in the media space from the point of view of Tuvan students today in order to determine the language preferences of Tuvan students in everyday communication; identify the language preferences of Tuvan students in the media space; assess the degree of awareness and interest of the studied regarding sources in the Tuvan language in the media space; clarify their position on the popularization of the Tuvan language in the media space. the media space. Different formulations of the concept of "media space" are considered. Method and methodology of study. The research is based on such methods as observation, content analysis of sources in the media space, a sociological method such as an online survey, as well as an analysis of the results obtained. Results. The results of a survey among Tuvan students are presented. It was found out that most of the studied group thinks and communicates in the Tuvan language, but there are also critically small proportions of those who do not use the Tuvan language at all. It was found out that the mixed use of both Russian and Tuvan languages prevails in the communication process. This is due to the Tuvan-Russian bilingualism rooted in the region. Today, Tuvan students are putting forward certain proposals to popularize the Tuvan language in the media space: advertising in Tuvan, entertainment content in Tuvan, video tutorials in Tuvan about the Motherland, development of mobile applications in Tuvan, and others. In general, the content in the Tuvan language in the media space is of interest to the majority of Tuvan students.

Application of Scramble Learning Model to Communicative Character and Learning Interests of Elementary School Students

Education plays an important role in everyone's life. Interest in learning is a factor that encourages students to be active in the teaching and learning process so that the learning process can achieve the expected goals. The research was motivated by the low interest in leraning PKn student of class II. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the application of the scramble learning model on the communicative character and learning interest of students. Teachers need to be more focused in their learning activities, have a better understanding of learning challenges, and be able to use appropriate learning models in addition to paying attention to student learning interests. The learning model is very beneficial for both educators and learners. Learning models can serve as roadmaps and points of reference for educators as they apply learning methodically. Scramble cooperative learning is another approach to solving this problem. In this study, descriptive qualitative methods were used with qualitative research. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there was an increase in the results of students' learning interest and communication skills. Effectiveness of Group Counseling Services in Increasing Social Interaction in Students: Literature Review

Social interaction is basically an individual relationship between individuals, or individuals and groups that mutually influence, change, improve behavior in living together. If social interaction is established well then this will be beneficial for the teenagers themselves. This article aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services in increasing students' social interactions in junior high schools. The research method used in this review is a literature review. Literature review is a term to refer to a particular study or research and development carried out to collect and evaluate research related to a particular topic focus. Social interaction is an important thing that every individual must have, therefore the results obtained are good social interaction, good socialization skills are also needed and improving social interaction can be done by conducting group counseling. Group counseling plays a significant role in the development of student communication, students who initially have limitations in communicating and interacting socially and tend to become isolated after attending group counseling tend to be more able to interact well with life social.

NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION BETWEEN TEACHERS AND STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES IN BUILDING EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION AT A STATE SPECIAL SCHOOL (SLB)

This study aims to determine the nonverbal communication of teachers and students with disabilities in building effective communication in SLB Negeri. This study uses descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants in this study were two teachers, the main informants, and the principal, the supporting informant. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. This research uses a triangulation data validity test. The results of this study indicate that teachers and students with disabilities use nonverbal communication, namely sign language, kinesics, and lip reading. Communication between teachers and students with disabilities in SLB Negeri is very effective because it addresses several important aspects. Teachers build the principle of mutual respect, always provide support and show Empathy, speak in good sentences and not in a hurry, and convey material clearly and accurately to avoid multiple interpretations. In addition, teachers should show a humble attitude by accepting each student's strengths and weaknesses. These aspects make communication between teachers and students with disabilities in SLB Negeri effective and meaningful.

Patterns of Interpersonal Communication of Employee to Establishing Relationships with Students in the STISIP Petta Baringeng Soppeng

This research describe about interpersonal communication of employment to establishing relationships with students in the Stisip Petta Baringeng Soppeng. Interpersonal communication that involves only two people face to face, ways verbal and non verbal.example husband and his wife, two close friends, employee and student. The employee as a unit of teaching staff whomust provide good service. But the problem that often arises on a campus is a lack of communication between employee with students. Therefore , the author chose one title to look at employee interpersonal communication in establishing relationships with students in the Stisip Petta Baringeng Soppeng.This type of research is qualitative, to obtain data in this research that researcher used observation and interview data collection techniques, to analyze the data in this research through three stages that reduction data, presentation and conclusions.The results of the research show that employee interpersonal communication in establishing relationships with students in the Stisip Petta Baringeng Soppeng interpersonal communication has been implemented in the form of dialogu, convesation, storytelling and sharing between employee and student. With interpersonal communication from employee so students listen to all aspirations that have been conveyed by employee so that solving problems can easily be resolved so that students do academic activitieswell.

<p>This article analyses the objective conditions and subjective factors of the inclusion of slang, jargonisms, anglicisms in the Russian language of communication and thought-speech activity of students of humanitarian specialities, as well as the possibilities of student culture to minimize and exclude these "innovations" from students' speech. The paper classifies the reasons for the emergence and inclusion of slang, jargonisms, anglicisms in the Russian speech of students, in their communication with each other and teachers, clarifies the possibilities of the culture of student collectives in minimizing and excluding these "innovations" from the language of students, evaluates the ways and means through which and by means of which it is possible in the educational process to form the appropriate culture of the collective in student groups, substantiates the option of using the culture of student collectives in the use of slang, jargonisms and anglicisms in the Russian language of communication and thought-speech activity of students.</p>

Instagram Stories and Personal Branding Among Communication Students at Mercu Buana University

This research aims to examine the influence of utilizing Instagram Stories on personal branding among students of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at Mercu Buana University in Jakarta. A quantitative approach with an explanatory survey method was employed in this study. The population consisted of active undergraduate students of the 2016 cohort in the Communication Studies program, with a sample of 171 respondents obtained through proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale. Data analysis included descriptive statistics and simple linear regression analysis. The results indicate a positive and significant influence of Instagram Stories utilization on students' personal branding, with a regression coefficient of 0.900, a determination coefficient of 66.9%, and a t-value greater than the t-table value (18.334 > 1.65392). These findings confirm that Instagram Stories can potentially be utilized as a means to build effective personal branding for students through the posting of engaging content that reflects their personality and embraced values. However, it is important to note that personal branding is not solely influenced by the use of Instagram Stories but also by other factors such as consistency, audience interaction, and a profound understanding of personal branding strategies.

Effects of Using Student Worksheets Integrated With Context-Based Learning Videos on Collaboration and Science Communication Skills Students

Collaboration and science communication are skills that are needed and must be possessed by students. In reality, students are less trained to work together and express ideas well, so students' science collaboration and communication skills are still weak. Therefore, student worksheets integrated with context-based learning videos are used as a solution. This study aims to see the influence of using student worksheets integrated with context-based learning videos on improving students' collaboration skills and science communication skills. Students of class XI IPA 3 at SMAN 3 Payakumbuh were used as the research sample. The instruments used were observation sheets on collaboration and science communication skills. The results of the data analysis showed: 1) there was an increase in students' collaboration skills score from 40.29 to 85.59 with an excellent category, and 2) there was an increase in students' science communication skills score from 40.29 to 76.91 with a good category. Based on the t-test conducted, there is a positive effect of using student worksheets integrated with context-based learning videos on students' collaboration and science communication skills.

Learning Strategies and Communication Styles at SLB Autism YPPA Bukittinggi: Educational Communication for Students with Autism

This study focuses on educational communication in the context of SLB Autisma YPPA Bukittinggi, specifically on teaching strategies and communication styles between teachers and autistic students. The research method involves interviews with the Head of the Special Needs School and an analysis of teaching practices in both classical and therapy classes. The research findings indicate that communication between teachers and autistic students relies on understanding varied communication styles. The therapy class, using the ABA approach, emphasizes individuality and personalized learning. Communication styles in the therapy class are dominated by teachers, who utilize repetition, emphasis, and motivation to achieve learning objectives. Learning strategies that comprehend the uniqueness of each student and utilize cognitive learning theories can aid in achieving optimal learning outcomes.

The Outcomes of Competency-Based Program About Language for Communication for Early Primary School Students

This study aims to achieve three primary objectives: firstly, to develop a competency-based program tailored for communication purposes; secondly, to examine developmental strides in language proficiency for effective communication; and thirdly, to compare the language proficiency among early primary school students, both pre-and post-implementation of the program. The sample consisted of third-grade students from Anuban Chantarat School, Sahatsakhan District, Kalasin Province, Thailand, who were enrolled in the second semester of the academic year 2022. The total number of participants was 20 by cluster random sampling. The data collection instruments used in this study were: 1) a program usage manual, 2) a lesson plan, and 3) a language communication competence assessment test. Data analysis involved basic statistical measures, including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and hypothesis testing using the t-test (Dependent Samples). The study findings revealed that: 1. Competency-based program for early primary school students’ language communication, comprising six components: 1) Principles, 2) Objectives, 3) Content, 4) Development Processes, 5) Teaching and Learning Materials, and 6) Assessment, underwent quality assessment by seven experts. The results indicated a high level of conformity and appropriateness. 2. Students who participated in the language competency-based program demonstrated enhanced language communication competence across all learning units. 3. The language communication competence of students after using the program was statistically significantly higher than before using the program at a significance level of .05. The language competence was found to be at a developing level of A2 proficiency.

Intercultural Communication Competence: Theoretical Exploration and Practical Application from the Perspective of Foreign Language Education

As globalization continues to deepen, intercultural communication competence has become an indispensable key skill in international exchange and cooperation. This paper aims to explore the theoretical construction of intercultural communication competence and its practical application in foreign language education. By synthesizing reviews of relevant literature from both domestic and international sources, this paper proposes an interactive theoretical model of intercultural communication competence that integrates the dimensions of attitude, knowledge, and skills. The model emphasizes the dialogic nature of intercultural communication, the equality of cultures, and the dialectical combination of globalization and localization. Based on this, the paper further develops a practical model that organically integrates intercultural communication competence, teaching segments, and teaching activities into a three-ring structure, providing a specific operational framework for the cultivation of intercultural communication competence in foreign language teaching. Through empirical research, this paper has verified the application effect of the proposed model in college English teaching. The results indicate that the model can effectively enhance students' intercultural awareness, knowledge acquisition, and communication skills. Finally, the paper puts forward a series of teaching suggestions aimed at promoting the comprehensive development of intercultural communication competence in foreign language education and points out directions for future research and practice.

ATTITUDE OF UNDERGRADUATE MASS COMMUNICATION STUDENTS OF BINGHAM UNIVERSITY TOWARDS JOURNALISM AS A CAREER

Research has shown that many mass communication graduates have been produced every year in Nigeria. However, only a few of them venture into journalism as a career. Using a quantitative approach, the researcher examined the attitude of undergraduate mass communication students of Bingham University, Nigeria, towards journalism as a career. The population of the study consists of 300 registered 100 to 400 level students in the Department of Mass Communication. Census method was adopted to sample the perception of the respondents towards journalism as a career. Online questionnaire via Google form was employed for data collection and analysis. The data were analyzed and presented in tables and bar chart. Hinged on the Perception Theory, findings revealed that majority (61.2%) of the participants have positive attitude towards journalism as a career. However, further finding shows that the risky and hazardous nature of journalism profession in Nigeria; such as killing, kidnapping, assault and discrimination against journalists, poor remuneration among others, immensely influenced the decision of some students to venture into other professions or careers rather than journalism after graduation. Based on the findings, the study recommended that media organizations and the Nigerian government should ensure adequate security for journalists on the line of duty, provide attractive working conditions such as appropriate salaries and allowances as well as job security and protection of the life of journalists so as to make journalism profession more attractive to the teeming young graduates of mass communication in Nigeria. Investigating dyads in nursing education

Background: Nursing education faces challenges due to a shortage of nurse educators and nurses in the workforce, prompting programs to expedite training, impacting student and nurse well-being. While standards are high, studies reveal many students feel unprepared. Self-confidence is crucial, affecting clinical performance, as is effective communication, which is pivotal for safe patient care. Dyadic education, involving pairs, is gaining traction for its potential to enhance teamwork and reduce stress.Methods: This study explored dyadic teaching's impact on nursing students' self-confidence, communication, and clinical skills in the context of nursing practicums. A convenience sample of nineteen undergraduate nursing students participated in a survey assessing their experiences in dyads.Results/Conclusions: Findings suggest dyadic teaching fosters greater confidence, reduces stress, and enhances communication. However, limitations, including small sample size and retrospective data collection, underscore the need for further research. Introducing dyadic approaches in nursing curriculums holds promise for optimizing student learning and patient care outcomes.

Breaking Barriers, Elevating Performance: Microsoft Teams and the Writing Proficiency of EFL Jordanian Students

Microsoft Teams is a popular educational online communication and collaboration software. Microsoft Teams centralizes interactions, information, and applications. It lets students and instructors interact and exchange material in real time. Thus, this research examines how Microsoft Teams affects EFL Jordanian writers. Microsoft Teams' collaborative learning, feedback, and practice may enhance EFL Jordanians' writing abilities. The research divides students into control and experimental groupsObjective: In Jordan, Language learning and writing abilities are evolving in tandem with advancements in educational technology. Microsoft Teams, a popular online communication, and collaboration software is at the forefront of this transformation. Thus, this research examines how Microsoft Teams affects Jordanian EFL writers.Methods: Separating 30 EFL Jordanian students into two groups: a control group and an experimental group, the study employed (Vygotsky’s Sociocultural Theory and Davis’s Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Then a Quasi-experimental study with a pre-test-post-test control group design has been conducted to compare the traditional teaching methods with Microsoft Teams-assisted collaborative writing.Results: The experimental group outperformed the control group in content and grammar. Microsoft Teams may help Jordanian EFL writers improve. The research reveals that Microsoft Teams might help EFL Jordanians write better. Thus, instructors should use Microsoft Teams to increase students' writing abilities. Technology-enhanced learning's long-term impacts on language competence require more study.Conclusions: In conclusion, this research examined how Microsoft Teams affects EFL Jordanians' writing. Microsoft Teams users had much better writing performance than non-users. The experimental group outperformed the control group in content and grammar. Microsoft Teams may help Jordanian EFL writers improve. Based on socio-cultural theory, the research stresses social interaction and collaborative learning in language acquisition. Socio-cultural theory supports student cooperation and communication using Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams' ability to allow students to interact with classmates and instructors and get feedback boosts writing skills.

Formation of students� culture of communication through language

Relevance. Language profoundly influences cultural stereotypes, strengthens social ties, and fosters harmony in educational and social settings. This study is crucial for understanding how language shapes communication, supports inclusive educational practices, and adapts to the evolving nature of cultural interactions in a globalized world. Purpose. The aim of the study was to investigate the process of formation of communication culture among students through the use of language in different socio-cultural contexts. Methodology. A survey of students from Kazakh and Kyrgyz universities was conducted. The analysis of its results made it possible to obtain a preliminary understanding of the students' perspectives. Results. As a result of the survey, it was revealed that students assess the high importance of language culture and realize its influence on various aspects of their life and learning. Students recognized that the level of language proficiency significantly influences their ability to communicate effectively, as well as their perception and understanding of the cultural characteristics of other individuals. The high level of students� awareness of the impact of language culture on their professional development indicates their readiness to compete in the international labour market and their desire to develop intercultural skills. Considering the results of the survey, it should be noted that modern technologies, especially social networks and messengers, have a significant impact on students� communication culture. Conclusions. The study revealed that the national language plays an important role in the cultural and social spheres of society in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The study also revealed that foreign languages are significant in the multilingual environment of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and have a significant impact on communicative practices and the structure of communication. Taking into account students� cultural peculiarities and identity, training should contribute to their comprehensive development of communicative skills and successful interaction in different situations. BEYOND THE GAME: INTERNATIONAL MEDIA ATTITUDES TOWARD INDONESIA'S CANCELLATION OF THE U20 WORLD CUP

In March 2023, Indonesia was confronted with a situation that was also a worldwide concern. The hosting of the U20 World Cup in Indonesia has been cancelled. This study, however, will not address the reasons why this could happen but rather the attitudes of the world's newspapers in reporting on the subject. It is significant because, as a nation which constantly seeking global recognition, Indonesia should be introspective by understanding the global community's perspectives on the problems that exist in Indonesia, which can be illustrated by news about Indonesia that exists in foreign newspapers. Furthermore, attitude analysis can be done using Appraisal Theory. This study sampled three articles from online news: BBC, CNA, and The Straits Times. The data were analyzed by adopting a mix-method. The results obtained that the three news articles had negative attitudes perspective. Furthermore, the findings of this study's analysis can be used as teaching material for language and communication students interested in becoming journalists or writing articles for print and online publications.
