Recently, there has been an increased interest in temple cuisine due to heightened consumer awareness of health and environmental issues. To establish a unique position as a tourist attraction, it is important to understand consumers' intentions and perceptions regarding temple food. Therefore, the aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the attributes of temple cuisine as a tourist resource and visitors' intentions to visit and recommend it. Additionally, the study investigated the mediating effects of consumers' perception of health value and environmental value on the relationship between temple food attributes and revisit and recommendation intentions. The research analyzed 358 consumers interested in temple food using structural equation and SPSS Process Macro analysis techniques. The results showed that consumers' perception of health value and environmental value mediate the relationship between temple food attributes and visit and recommendation intentions. Specifically, among those who had direct experience with temple cuisine, positive perceptions of environmental and health values were associated with higher intentions to visit and recommend. This study contributes by comprehensively examining the interrelationships and processes among temple food attributes, perceptions of health value, perceptions of environmental value, visit intentions, and recommendation intentions. Based on these findings, the study suggests the need for efforts from stakeholders to promote the positive attributes of temple cuisine, stimulate consumers' health and environmental value perceptions, and expand related institutions where consumers can experience temple cuisine. Ultimately, this can increase tourists' loyalty, visit intentions, and recommendation intentions.

Finding atomic dynamics in metal and alloy subnanometer clusters

Abstract This highlight review explains advanced structural analysis techniques utilizing electron microscopy to uncover various properties and phenomena in subnanometer clusters that were previously unknown in larger nanoparticles. The discoveries introduced the concept of “subnano alloying,” where different elements mix at the atomic level in arbitrary proportions, leading to enhanced catalytic performance. Additionally, the behavior and dynamics of these clusters were examined to gain insights into their stability and reactivity. These findings have significant implications for the design of advanced materials with tailored properties and improved catalytic applications.

The research results show that brand image has a positive and significant influence on consumer satisfaction, social media marketing has no and insignificant influence on consumer satisfaction, brand image has a positive and significant influence on consumer satisfaction mediated by purchasing decisions, social media marketing has a positive and significant influence on consumer satisfaction mediated by purchasing decisions

Impact of the Li-loss mechanisms inherent to the physical vapor deposition of LiCoO2 cathode on its electrochemical performance

GPa-resistant conformal LiCoO2 cathodes grown by physical vapor deposition (PVD), with negative chemical expansion coefficients, are promising systems for mechanically stabilizing cathode/solid electrolyte interfaces in solid-state lithium-ion batteries. However, exploiting its potential preliminarily requires that we are able to control the reversibility of Li stoichiometry under PVD conditions, which represents a major challenge since metal Li is lightweight, volatile and has high diffusivity. By combining different chemical and structural analysis techniques, we identify the mechanisms of Li loss by PVD and demonstrate that unlike the electrochemical delithiation of LiCoO2, the crystallization of LiCoO2 admits only a small amount of Li vacancies, so that in a Li-deficient regime, segregated phases of fully stoichiometric LiCoO2 and Li-free Co oxides are formed. From the laterally- and depth-resolved concentrations of the coexisting phases, we can conclude that PVD-grown LiCoO2 is partially stabilized into morphological features with reduced specific surface areas (i.e., large isotropic faceted grains and thick films), resulting in an improvement of its specific electrochemical properties and performance.

Understanding Voter Resistance to Political Campaigns: Evidence from National Elections of Pakistan

Political marketing literature acknowledges the pivotal role of marketing campaigns in building political support, yet a notable gap exists in understanding voters’ resistance to political campaigns. This paper argues that voters’ resistance can be managed if their attitudes are understood. Grounded in the Tripartite theory of attitude that conceptualizes attitude as a complex relationship between cognition (voter’s apathy, skepticism and cynicism), affection (voter’s dissatisfaction and frustration) and conation (voter’s resistance to political campaigns), the study tests a model for understanding resistance to political marketing. An empirical investigation of 454 participants from 2018 national elections in Pakistan, utilizing a structured questionnaire for data collection and employing structural equation modeling analysis techniques, reveals that skepticism and dissatisfaction significantly fuel voters’ resistance to political efforts. These factors engender disbelief, erode trust, and diminish interest in political candidates and their parties. Based on these findings, we draw implications for advocating citizen engagement over a sole reliance on advertisements to mitigate negative voter attitudes toward political campaigns.

Electrochemical performance of g-C3N4 embedded NiO nanocomposite anodes for Lithium-ion batteries

The combination of two-dimensional layered heterostructures with transition metal oxide electrodes has attracted considerable attention. In this work, the hydrothermal method is adopted to produce graphitic carbon nitride-embedded Nickel oxide (g-CN/NiO) nanocomposites and tested their electrochemical performance against Li/Li+ half cells. The formation of g-CN/NiO nanocomposite is confirmed through structural analysis techniques, such as XRD and XPS. The scanning electron microscopy image reveals the existence of spherical g-CN/NiO nanocomposite. The g-CN embedded NiO anodes exhibited excellent electrochemical performance and cyclability, and the g-CN/NiO versus Li/Li+ half-cell delivered an initial discharge capacity of 906.4 mAh g-1 at a 0.1C rate. At 500 cycles, the anode delivered 195 mAh g-1 capacity with a columbic efficiency of 99.5 %. Interestingly, the g-CN/NiO anode exhibits two distinct trends in its cycling performance. Until 300 cycles, the capacity fade was perceived, and after 300 cycles, due to the overhang mechanism, an increasing trend was observed. The electrochemical result reveals that the introduction of g-CN improves the structural stability and electron transport properties of g-CN/NiO anodes.

Is the TCA cycle malate dehydrogenase-citrate synthase metabolon an illusion?

This review discusses the intriguing yet controversial concept of metabolons, focusing on the malate dehydrogenase-citrate synthase (MDH-CISY) metabolon as a model. Metabolons are multienzyme complexes composed of enzymes that catalyze sequential reactions in metabolic pathways. Metabolons have been proposed to enhance metabolic pathway efficiency by facilitating substrate channeling. However, there is skepticism about the presence of metabolons and their functionality in physiological conditions in vivo. We address the skepticism by reviewing compelling evidence supporting the existence of the MDH-CISY metabolon and highlighting its potential functions in cellular metabolism. The electrostatic interaction between MDH and CISY and the intermediate oxaloacetate, channeled within the metabolon, has been demonstrated using various experimental techniques, including protein-protein interaction assays, isotope dilution studies, and enzyme coupling assays. Regardless of the wealth of in vitro evidence, further validation is required to elucidate the functionality of MDH-CISY metabolons in living systems using advanced structural and spatial analysis techniques.

The Influence of Entrepreneurship Education on the Competence of Start-Up Ventures in Empowering Nascent Makeup Artists

This research aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurship education on startup business competencies through the empowerment of prospective makeup artists. The study employs a quantitative approach with structural equation model analysis techniques using the AMOS application. The population of this study comprises alumni of the Entrepreneurial Skills Education Program (PKW) from Training and Course Institutes (LKP) between 2016 and 2018 in West Java. The sampling technique used is random sampling. Data were obtained through a questionnaire completed by 136 respondents. The results of the study indicate that entrepreneurship education does not have a significant effect on startup business competencies through the empowerment of prospective makeup artists. However, entrepreneurship education significantly influences two variables: startup business competencies (48.6%) and the empowerment of prospective makeup artists (89.1%). The study reveals the reasons for the low achievement of the PKW Program's success based on two indicators. Indicator II states that at least 75% of graduates should be able to start a business, and Indicator III specifies that at least 30% of those who start a business should earn an income equivalent to the local minimum wage within six months. The low success rate of the PKW Program in this study is explained by the limited skills of the mentors and the lack of reflection activities during the mentoring process. This research highlights the urgent need for effective mentors when prospective bridal makeup artists design and launch their startups. Mentors play a critical role in providing business insights, market advice, and market validation. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the quality of mentors and establish qualification standards for startup business mentors.

Synthesis and application of gadolinium-doped ZnO/silica mesoporous nanocomposite for methylene blue removal

In this study, a silica mesoporous nanomaterial was synthesized using a hydrothermal method and then surface-modified with Gadolinium-doped ZnO nanoparticles. The synthesized samples were characterized using FTIR, XRD, BET, XPS, FESEM, and EDS techniques for surface and structural morphology analysis. Structural analysis revealed that the synthesized SBA-15 mesoporous silica possessed a crystalline structure. Conversely, the mesoporous material modified with zinc oxide and gadolinium oxide nanoparticles became amorphous. The activity of this nanocomposite for the removal of methylene blue, a colored pollutant, was evaluated. Five factors affecting methylene blue removal efficiency, including initial dye concentration, adsorbent amount, contact time, pH, and temperature, were investigated. The optimal values identified for efficient methylene blue removal were: initial concentration 10 mg/L (ppm), adsorbent amount 0.015 g, time 15 min, pH 7, and temperature 25 °C. The reusability of the adsorbent was also investigated, and it was found to exhibit good reusability for up to 8 cycles without a significant decrease in its methylene blue removal efficiency.

STRUCTURAL CHANGES DURING THERMAL STRENGTHENING OF THE RAILWAY WHEEL

Purpose. Justification of mechanism of the structure transformations in the carbon steel of the railway wheel during disk thermal strengthening. Research methods. The material for the study was carbon steel of a railway wheel with a content of 0.57 % C, 0.65 % Si, 0.45 % Mn, 0.0029 % S, 0.014 % P and 0.11 % Cr. The railway wheel was heated to temperatures higher than Ac3, kept at this temperature to complete austenite homogenization process, and disk was rapidly cooled to the specified temperature. Degree defectiveness structure of the metal after accelerated cooling was assessed using technique of X-ray structural analysis. Strength stress, yield stress and relative elongation of the carbon steel were determined at stretching at rate of deformation 10-3 s-1. Results. At accelerated cooling of the carbon steel, the sources of strengthening are the processes of blocking mobile dislocations due to the condensation of carbon atoms on them and dispersion strengthening from the formed particles of the carbide phase. At temperatures of termination of forced cooling of carbon steel above 300…350 °C, the reduction rate of strength properties is determined by the excess of total effect of softening from decomposition of the solid solution, acceleration of spheroidization and coalescence of cementite particles over the blocking of dislocations by carbon atoms and dispersion hardening. Scientific novelty. The level of strength and plasticity characteristics of carbon steel of the railway wheel disc, depending on the temperature end forced cooling, is determined by the ratio of the influence of degree super saturation of the solid solution and the dispersion strengthening by carbide phase. Practical value. For temperatures termination of accelerated cooling of 200…300 °C, degree of super saturation of the solid solution is the main factor that determines the level of strength and plasticity characteristics. When manufacturing an all-rolled railway wheel, the strength limit of the disc metal can be increased by accelerated cooling to the middle range of temperature.

Artistic time and Space in the Stories of V. Bykov

The analysis of time and space in a work of art - the chronotope is one of the most pressing problems of modern research. The purpose of the work is to acquaint specialists with the aesthetic function of the chronotope in the stories of V. Bykov. The technique of structural, comparative-typological and intertextual analysis was used. The study revealed the role of retrospections. V. Bykov's retrospectives are complex, the author examines several time layers. The concept of time causes the destruction of the plot, which cannot be restored in chronological (plot) sequence. The depiction of time and space used by the writer makes it possible to reveal the character of a person in an extreme situation as concisely and convincingly as possible. The result of the analysis is the conclusion that the stories of V. Bykov are a significant stage in the evolution of artistic thinking.

МЕТОДИКА РАСЧЕТА КОМБИНИРОВАННОЙ КОНСТРУКЦИИ ПОКРЫТИЯ ШПРЕНГЕЛЬНОГО ТИПА

Hybrid building structures have advantages in terms of efficiency of using high-strength materials and reducing deformations under load. To expand the scope of their practical application, it is necessary to improve techniques for structural analysis and design methods. The object of the present research is a hybrid structure of the strutted-type. The top chord of the structure is formed by rectilinear beams arranged in radial direction and pivotally connected in the ridge joint. The bottom chord consists of high-strength cable elements and hinge struts. For the static analysis of the structure, its flat model is adopted. The static indeterminacy is solved by means of the method of redundant reactions. The applicability of the method is justified by restriction of structural deformations implied by the serviceability limit state. Analytical expressions are proposed to determine the forces and bending moments in the main structural elements. The resulting expressions are unified to perform the structural analysis under pre-stress and external loads by means of supplementary parameters introduced. An improved technique for finding the matrix of coefficients and the vector of free terms of the canonical system of the method of redundant reactions is proposed. The technique allows automating the calculation. A method for taking into account flexible cable elements is developed. The method includes step-by-step eliminating of compressed cables from the design scheme. The results of the work contribute to the development of hybrid strutted-type structures and can be used for developing optimal design solutions, as well as to identify patterns of stress-strain state of the hybrid structures by means of the numerical simulation.

Application of bi-directional evolutionary structural optimization to the design of an innovative pedestrian bridge

With rapid advances in design methods and structural analysis techniques, computational generative design strategies have been adopted more widely in the field of architecture and engineering. As a performance-based design technique to find out the most efficient structural form, topology optimization provides a powerful tool for designers to explore lightweight and elegant structures. Building on this background, this study proposes an innovative pedestrian bridge design, which covers the process from conceptualization to detailed design implementation. This pedestrian bridge, with a main span of 152 m, needs to meet some unique architectural requirements, while addressing multiple engineering challenges. Aiming to reduce the depth of the girder but still meeting the load-carrying capacity requirements, the superstructure of this bridge adopts a variable-depth spinal-shaped girder in the center of its deck, thus forming an elegant curving facade, from which one pathway cantilevers on either side. At one end of the bridge, given considerable elevation difference between the bridge deck and the ground, a two-level Fibonacci-type spiral-shaped bicycle ramp is provided. The superstructure is supported by a series of organic tree-shaped branching piers resulting from the topology optimization. The ingenious design for the elegant profile of the bicycle ramp generates an enjoyable and dynamic crossing experience, with scenic views in all directions. By virtue of technological innovation, the pedestrian bridge is expected to create an iconic, cost-effective, and low-maintenance solution. A brief overview of the theoretical background of the bi-directional evolutionary structure optimization (BESO) and the multi-material BESO approach is also offered in this paper, while the construction requirements and challenges, conceptual development process, form-finding strategy, detailed design, and construction method of the bridge are presented.

Enhancing Teacher Performance Through Millennial Teacher Characteristics, Work Culture, and Person-Job Fit Mediated by Employee Engagement

Teachers are the key to the success of a nation in improving the quality of life of its people in the future. This research aims to find research gaps with previous research which makes four main points to be used as questions in this research, namely 1. Analyzing the characteristics of millennial employees, work culture, and personal job fit towards lecturer competence. 2. Analyzing millennial employees, work culture, and personal job fit on lecturer performance 3. Analyzing lecturer competency on lecturer performance 4. Analyzing the extent to which the role of lecturer competence mediates the characteristics of millennial employees, work culture, and personal job fit on lecturer performance. This research method uses quantitative research with an explanatory research approach. The number of samples in this study was 105 selected using the census method. To test the hypothesis in this study, structural equation model analysis techniques were used. The results of this research show that the findings show that efforts to increase Employee Engagement through millennial employee characteristics, work culture, and personal job Fit have the potential to make a positive contribution to improving employee performance. The following recommendations are for teachers to increase employee engagement, so teachers need to be focused and stimulated to encourage teachers to be more innovative in their work so they can improve teacher performance and for future researchers to evaluate the variables of this research on different populations and increase the population size.

Nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dot as electron acceptor anchored on graphitic carbon nitride nanosheet for improving rhodamine B degradation

Carbon quantum dots (CQDs) hold significant promise for wastewater treatment because of their remarkable attributes, including robust stability, outstanding biocompatibility, minimal toxicity, superior water dispersibility, cost-effective production, and exceptional photo-stability.In this study, CQDs were synthesized using microplasma and tested for the degradation of rhodamine B (RhB) (5 mg/L) under different conditions, with a Solar simulator and UVA illumination. Specifically, graphitic carbon nitride nanosheets (NCN) in conjugation with carbon quantum dots (NCN@CQD) were prepared with different amounts of CQD. The synthesized CQD, NCN, and NCN@CQD underwent characterization using various compositional and structural analytical techniques. The results show that nitrogen species were effectively incorporated into the CQDs framework and CQDs are anchored on NCN forming NCN@CQD successfully. Subsequently, all samples were then investigated in degrading Rhodamin B, RhB, to assess the photocatalytic activity. The results reveal that the presence of CQDs substantially improved the photocatalytic efficiency of NCN. Specifically, the CQDs anchored on NCN exhibited a substantial enhancement in the photoactivity for RhB decomposition under a solar light simulator, surpassing that of pure NCN. The amount of CQD in the NCN@CQD sample exerted a strong influence on the photocatalytic activity. All NCN@CQD samples exhibited remarkable enhancements in both adsorption and photocatalytic performance compared to pure CQD and NCN samples. In an optimization study, a best NCN@CQ photocatalyst was identified, showing a 40 % enhancement of photocatalytic efficiency compared to the use of NCN alone. A visible light photocatalytic activity of 91 % can be attained within 150 min, exhibiting a reaction rate constant of 0.0135 min−1 toward RhB decomposition, which was double as for the individual NCN (0.0067 min−1). The boosted photocatalytic activity resulting from the synergistic effect between NCNs and CQDs can be attributed to the efficient function of CQD as an electron acceptor. The proposed mechanism of photocatalytic degradation of RhB is illustrated in detail.

An Effective Solution for Investing Funds Through the Robo Advisor Bibit Application

Investment regulates finance such that its value can grow and generate future profits. In Indonesia, investment is increasing yearly. The increase is supported by millennials who have adapted to technology that makes it easier to make digital mutual investments. Although the increase in mutual investment in Indonesia is quite rapid, it does not preclude the possibility that there are still many people who have not invested. The reason people have not invested is that they are afraid to take risks, and their income is low. These reasons can be minimized with the use of technology. Innovation in investing has given rise to modern technological advances such as fintech or financial technology like Robo Advisor. The method used in this study was the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling analysis technique, which was operated using SmartPLSver. 3 software. Data were collected through questionnaires. The study used quantitative methods and a sample of 200 respondents who had or would have invested through the Bibit application with the use of the Robo Advisor feature. The results of this study found that Robo Advisor can affect millennials’ investing through risk profiling, financial planning, and rebalancing. Precise Structural Analysis of Neutral Glycans Using Aerolysin Mutant T240R Nanopore.

Glycans play vital roles in nearly all life processes of multicellular organisms, and understanding these activities is inseparable from elucidating the biological significance of glycans. However, glycan research has lagged behind that of DNA and protein due to the challenges posed by structural heterogeneity and isomerism (i.e., structures with equal molecular weights) the lack of high-efficiency structural analysis techniques. Nanopore technology has emerged as a sensitive single-molecule biosensor, shining a light on glycan analysis. However, a significant number of glycans are small and uncharged, making it challenging to elicit identifiable nanopore signals. Here we introduce a R-binaphthyl tag into glycans, which enhances the cation-π interaction between the derivatized glycan molecules and the nanopore interface, enabling the detection of neutral glycans with an aerolysin nanopore. This approach allows for the distinction of di-, tri-, and tetrasaccharides with monosaccharide resolution and has the potential for group discrimination, the monitoring of enzymatic transglycosylation reactions. Notably, the aerolysin mutant T240R achieves unambiguous identification of six disaccharide isomers, trisaccharide and tetrasaccharide linkage isomers. Molecular docking simulations reveal that multiple noncovalent interactions occur between residues R282, K238, and R240 and the glycans and R-binaphthyl tag, significantly slowing down their translocation across the nanopore. Importantly, we provide a demonstration of the kinetic translocation process of neutral glycan isomers, establishing a solid theoretical foundation for glycan nanopore analysis. The development of our technology could promote the analysis of glycan structural isomers and has the potential for nanopore-based glycan structural determination and sequencing.

Analysis of the Effect of the Use of Environmentally Friendly Building Materials on the Stability of Tall Building Structures in Jakarta

The construction industry's significant environmental impact has prompted a shift towards environmentally friendly building materials to mitigate environmental degradation while maintaining structural stability. This quantitative study investigates the effect of using environmentally friendly building materials on the stability of tall building structures in Jakarta, Indonesia. Employing a mixed-methods approach, survey data collection, and structural analysis techniques were utilized to examine the relationship between building material choices and structural stability. Statistical analyses revealed a strong preference for environmentally friendly materials among participants, with sustainable timber and eco-friendly concrete substitutes receiving high ratings. Moreover, participants expressed confidence in the structural integrity of tall buildings constructed using these materials. Correlation and regression analyses further demonstrated significant positive relationships between preferences for environmentally friendly building materials, perceived structural stability, and environmental sustainability practices. The findings underscore the potential of environmentally friendly building materials to enhance both structural stability and environmental sustainability in tall building construction.

Assessing the socioeconomic and environmental impacts of China's power sector changes in 2010–2020

Power sector changes in China have far-reaching socioeconomic and environmental impacts. To achieve sustainable power transitions, it is crucial to analyze the impact patterns and mechanisms of power sector changes on socioeconomic and environmental systems. For this purpose, we develop a hybrid-unit input-output model with detailed power sectors and endogenous capital for accurately capturing the overall Socio-Economic-Environmental (SEE) impacts induced by power sector changes over 2010–2020, and underlying determinants are identified using the structural decomposition analysis technique. We find that China's power sector changes exerted positive SEE impacts especially after 2015, with a trade-off of creation in value added and employment over CO2 emissions growth. Revealing the impact mechanisms shows that supply chains embodied more impacts than direct demand variants induced by power operation and capacity investments. Increased generation of clean fossil power and expanded capacity investments of renewable power largely contributed to positive SEE impacts, particularly in fuel-related as well as power equipment manufacturing and metal production sectors, while the phase-down of subcritical coal power and capacity reduction of hydropower impeded SEE progress. Production structure improvement and employment intensity decline as well as power generation shifts toward wind and solar power led to negative SEE impacts alongside reductions in value added and employment, and CO2 emissions growth was further induced by more equipment-intensive investment structures. Our empirical results inform policymaking promoting sustainable power transitions.
