L. ; Puschell, J. J. ; Stein, W. A. Abstract Spectral-flux distributions from 0.36 to 3.5 i m of seven BL Lacertae objects have been determined. Data of this nature have not previously been published for 3C 66 A, B2 1215+303, and B2 1308+326. These data are compared with similar results for AO 0235+164, PKS 0735+178, OJ 287, and BL Lac. The spectral-flux distributions of five of the seven objects are relatively flat. Consequently, in these cases the (extrapolated) data would imply no ultraviolet deficiency which might account for the absence of emission lines in BL Lacertae objects.
