Analisis Pelaksanaan Program Pos Pelayanan Terpadu (Posyandu) Remaja di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Jenggot Kota Pekalongan

Sexual behavior in adolescents is increasingly closely related to modern lifestyles and tends to violate rules. For example, they will spend their free time doing negative things such as smoking, coming home late at night, taking drugs and accessing pornography. The phenomenon and desire for free sex in adolescents occurs in the form of pornographic films by 97%, kissing, fondling and oral sex by 93.7%, junior high and high school adolescents are no longer virgins 62.7%, junior high and high school adolescents 21.2% do abortion. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the level of hedonistic lifestyle and sexual behavior in class XI adolescents at SMK Bakti Purwokerto. Correlative quantitative analytic research method with a cross sectional design approach. The sample technique used was total sampling technique with 127 class XI students as respondents. The analysis of this study used univariate analysis in the form of a frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the Spearman rho test. The results of this study are that there is a relationship between the level of hedonistic lifestyle and sexual behavior in class XI adolescents at SMK Bakti Purwokerto.

KOMUNIKASI TERAPEUTIK PERAWAT TERHADAP MOTIVASI KESEMBUHAN PASIEN

Therapeutic communication carried out by nurses to try to express feelings, identify, assess, evaluate problems and actions taken in carrying out nursing care and generate motivation to recover patients. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between therapeutic communication and improvement of patient's motivation to heal at DPM dr.Andre. This study used a cross sectional approach. Samples were taken using quota sampling technique as many as 109 respondents in DPM dr.Andre, Masangan Kulon Village, Sukodono District, Sidoarjo City. The variable instrument of therapeutic communication and healing motivation uses a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Spearman Rho test with < 0.005. Based on the results of the Spearman Rho test, the value of r = 0.527 with a value of = 0.000 indicates a strong relationship and statistically there is a significant relationship between therapeutic communication by nurses and increasing patient motivation to recover at DPM dr.Andre Sidoarjo.

Analysis of NLR, PLR, and Carcinoembryonic Antigen in Colorectal Cancer Patients

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second leading cause of cancer death worldwide. The development and prognosis of CRC are affected by the tumor's appearance and the host's inflammatory response. A combination of several parameters, including the Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR) and Platelet-Lymphocyte Ratio (PLR), has been used as a cancer prognostic marker. Research needs to be performed to analyze its role in CRC. This study aimed to determine the differences in the NLR, PLR, and CEA values with the severity and site of CRC. Medical record data were collected from 246 CRC patients from January 2021 to June 2022 at Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital were used and grouped by severity (metastatic and non-metastatic) and site (left colon, right colon, rectum). This study collected the data on NLR, PLR, and CEA levels. The Mann-Whitney, Spearman Rho, and Kruskal-Wallis tests were used for statistical analysis by the research objectives (significant if p<0.05). There were differences in median PLR (194.47 vs. 201.18; p=0.045) and CEA (3.3 ng/mL vs. 11.95 ng/mL; p<0.001) between the metastatic and non-metastatic groups, whereas there was no significant difference of median NLR between the two groups (2.77 vs. 2.79; p=0.438). No correlation was found between the NLR, PLR, and CEA level values with the location of CRC (p-values 0.978, 0.511, 0.419, respectively). PLR and CEA values were higher in metastatic CRC than in non-metastatic CRC, while NLR value was not significantly different. There was no correlation between the NLR, PLR, and CEA level values with the CRC site.

Hip prosthesis and colon surgery, a decade of surveillance on surgical site infections in Italy, a prospective cohort study: rates, trends, and disease burden in DALYs

BackgroundSurveillance programs are a key element of interventions aiming to reduce rates of surgical site infections (SSIs). The aim of this study was to evaluate rates and trends of SSIs following hip arthroplasty and colon surgery procedures in Piedmont, a region in North-western Italy, from 2010 to 2019. Further, we aimed to assess the burden of SSIs in terms of Disability-Adjusted Life-Years (DALYs).MethodsA prospective cohort study was conducted among 42 hospitals participating in the surveillance system. Procedure-specific SSI rates were calculated and the 2010 - 2019 trend was evaluated using Spearman's Rho test. Patients were stratified according to age, sex and infection risk index according to life expectancy in order to calculate DALYs, using a modified version of the ECDC’s BCoDE toolkit: disease models for both procedure types were adapted to incorporate long-term disability associated with SSIs.ResultsOverall, 20,356 hip arthroplasty and 11,011 colon surgery procedures were monitored over 10 years and were included in our analyses. Hip arthroplasty and colon surgery cumulative SSIs rates were 1.5% and 8% respectively. Using the Spearman’s Rho test, we evaluated a significant downward trend from 2010 to 2019 for colon surgery interventions (Rs − 0.7, p < 0.05), while there was no difference for hip arthroplasty. (Rs − 0.04, p > 0.05).Regarding disease burden, a total of 955.3 (95%CI 837.7–1102.98) and 208.65 (95%CI 180.87–240.90) DALYs were calculated for SSIs following hip arthroplasty, whilst 76.58 (95%CI 67.15–90.71) and 38.62 (95% CI 33.09–45.36) DALYs for SSIs in colon surgery, in 2010 and 2019, respectively.ConclusionsThe significant decrease both in terms of incidence and DALYs found in this study for colon surgery and the stability for hip arthroplasty support the role of surveillance networks in improving quality of care. Despite the smaller SSI rate, the burden associated with SSIs following hip arthroplasty was higher, which is important to consider in light of the aging population in Italy.

The Relationship Between Patient Safety Culture and Patient Satisfaction Level At Public Health Center Ajung Jember Regency

Safety culture is an aspect of organizational culture that refers to how health workers see andtreat safety in a health service, which has implications for patient satisfaction. This study aimedto identify relationship between patient safety culture and the level of patient satisfaction atPublic Health Center Ajung Jember Regency.The research design used was cross-sectional,involving inpatients at Public Health Center Ajung Jember Regency as many as 45 respondents.The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. Data was collected using the Indonesianversion of the Hospital Survey of Patient Safety Culture and Service Quality questionnaire.Statistical analysis using Spearman rho test with significance ≤0.05. Most patients expressed ahigh category of patient safety culture (57.8%), with more than half (51.1%) expressingsatisfaction with services. There was a relationship between patient safety culture and patientsatisfaction (p-value = 0.000; α = 0.05; r = 0.694). Discussion: Patient satisfaction will alsoincrease by implementing a good patient safety culture. Therefore, training on theimplementation of patient safety culture is very necessary to be held for nurses at public healthcenter; in this case, the policy stakeholders who are obliged to hold the training.

Correlation of salivary cytokine IL-17A and 1,25 dihydroxycholecalciferol in patients undergoing orthodontic treatment.

The management of malocclusion has developed greatly in terms of treatment simulation and biomechanics, but treatment duration has been a great concern to the clinician as well as the patient. 1-25dihydroxycholecalciferol (biologically active form of Vitamin D) stimulates both osteoclasts and osteoblasts and was found to be the most significant in Orthodontic Tooth Movement acceleration. Inflammatory cytokines like IL-17A also play an important role in osteoclastogenesis and can enhance the rate of Orthodontic Tooth Movement.To perform a simultaneous evaluation of pro-inflammatory salivary cytokine IL-17A and salivary 1-25dihydroxycholecalciferol and to correlate their role on orthodontic tooth movement.A prospective cohort study was conducted among n = 97 patients. Saliva samples were collected from the patients at three phases of the orthodontic treatment, centrifuged and stored at 4℃ for evaluation of salivary 1-25dihydroxycholecalciferol levels and Pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-17A using ELISA.The mean salivary 1-25dihydoxycholecalciferol levels were 41.250ng/ml, 33.246ng/ml and 35.043ng/ml during the initial phase, lag phase and post lag phase of orthodontic treatment. The mean pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-17 A levels were 107.79pg/ml, 102.98pg/ml and 66.156pg/ml during the initial phase, lag phase and post lag phase of orthodontic treatment. There was a correlation between the salivary 1-25dihydroxycholecalciferol level and salivary cytokine IL-17A levels during the various phases of orthodontic treatment using Spearman's correlation rho test and linear regression analysis. There was no significant difference (p > 0.05) between 1-25dihydroxycholecalciferol levels and gender during the various phases (initial phase, lag phase and post lag phase) of Orthodontic treatment.There was a negative correlation between salivary 1-25dihydroxycholecalciferol level and salivary cytokine IL-17A levels during the various phases of orthodontic treatment. The level of 1-25dihydroxycholecalciferol and salivary cytokine IL-17A have been quantified during the various phases of Orthodontic treatment and this can be used clinically for the supplementation of Vitamin D in patients with low vitamin D levels and can enhance the treatment duration for the patient with less damaging effects to the surrounding tissues.

The relationship between leg muscle strength and functional mobility in the elderly

Background: The elderly are individuals who experience a slow ageing process that can cause a decrease in physical function and condition. A noticeable decrease in function in the elderly is a decrease in muscle mass. This study aimed to determine the relationship between leg muscle strength and functional mobility ability in the elderly. This study aimed to determine the relationship between leg muscle strength and functional mobility in the elderly.&#x0D; Methods: The design of this study was observational analytic with a cross-sectional study direction. At the research site at Puskesmas II Tabanan, the number of research subjects was 63 older people aged 60-69 years. A 30-second chair stand test measures leg muscle strength, while a timed up-and-go test measures functional mobility ability.&#x0D; Results: The results of the association test using Spearman's Rho Test obtained a correlation coefficient value (r) -0.535 with a p-value=0.000 (p&lt;0.05), which means there is a strong significant relationship that is negative in both variables.&#x0D; Conclusion: There was a strong negative significant relationship between leg muscle strength and functional mobility ability in the elderly at Puskesmas II Tabanan.

The Influence of Knowledge about Anemia, Dates, and Iron Tablets on Hemoglobin Levels in Prospective Pregnant Women at South Klaten Community Health Center

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Background&lt;/strong&gt;: Anemia, commonly known as a deficiency in blood, influences individual behavior. Higher knowledge about anemia before conception correlates with a greater awareness of nutritional needs. Preventing anemia in preconception women involves iron tablet consumption, while dates serve as an alternative means to prevent anemia. This study aims to ascertain the influence of anemia knowledge, date consumption, and iron tablet intake on hemoglobin levels among prospective pregnant women at the Klaten Selatan Community Health Center. This research heald on January to September 2023 in the operational area of the Klaten Selatan Community Health Center.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Methods&lt;/strong&gt;: This research adopts a pre-experimental design employing a one- group pretest-posttest study. Purposive Random Sampling method is used, encompassing 40 research subjects. The dependent variable is hemoglobin levels, while the independent variables are knowledge about anemia, date consumption, and iron tablets. Data collection involves primary data through questionnaire responses and observation sheets. A Comparative Study of Practice, Perception, and Attitude of Undergraduate Healthcare Students towards Toothbrush Selection, Maintenance and Replacement in RAS Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.

Oral hygiene is one of the most significant lifestyle-related determinants of well-being. Health sciences undergraduate students are not only future healthcare providers but also educators of society in maintaining the overall general health. The aim of the study was to assess the practice, perception, and attitude of healthcare students in RAS Al-Khaimah toward toothbrush selection, maintenance, and replacement. A prospective cross-sectional study was conducted among medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and nursing undergraduate students. The data on demography, practice, perception, and attitude was collected using a self-administered structured questionnaire. It was evaluated using the Chi-square test and Spearman's rho test. Out of 318 participating students of both genders, medicine (26.4%), dentistry (25.7%), pharmacy (35.8%), and nursing (12.0%) students showed satisfactory practice (51.8%) and perception (77.3%) of toothbrush selection, maintenance, and replacement. A significant difference (p = 0.000) in attitude was observed across the different disciplines. The study group demonstrated a satisfactory level of understanding regarding the selection, maintenance and replacement of toothbrush to ensure oral care and hygiene. Educating the health sciences students during their undergraduate studies with more general health topics such as oral hygiene is of utmost need, and community engagements, interdisciplinary learning approaches and curriculum updates can help to achieve this. This study draws the attention for the inclusion of health-related topics in the curriculum that may impact on community health and education. Family Support in Fulfilling Activities of Daily Living and the Level of Personal Hygiene - Bathing in Schizophrenia Patients

Aims: This research aims to analyze the relationship between Family Support in Fulfilling Activities of Daily Living and the level of Personal Hygiene - Bathing in schizophrenia patients. Methods: The population in this research consists of 88 families with schizophrenia patients, with a sample size of 47 respondents. The sampling technique used is random sampling, employing the Spearman's rho statistical test. This research was conducted from December 2022 to July 2023 in the village of Astambul, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province, this research is an analytical research employing a cross-sectional design. Results: Based on the Spearman Rho test, the value of ρ is determined to be 0.005 (ρ ≥ 0.050). With a Spearman correlation value of 0.000, it indicates a positive correlation direction with a moderate strength. Conclusions: Emotional support and increased attention are crucial in supporting a more effective recovery process. The better the family support in fulfilling Activities of Daily Living (ADL) for schizophrenia patients, the higher the level of personal hygiene - bathing in schizophrenia patients in the Astambul village area, Banjar Regency.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS AND THE INCIDENCE OF STUNTING IN NGALANG GUNUNGKIDUL

Stunting is one of the nutritional status cases experienced by most toddlers worldwide. WHO 2020 revealed that Indonesia is the second country in Asia with the highest prevalence of 31.8% of stunting problems in toddlers. Several factors cause toddlers to experience stunting, including indirect factors, namely socioeconomic status. The socioeconomic status of the residents of Ngalang on the incidence of stunting toddlers aged 12-60 months was found to be 40 toddlers short and 6 toddlers very short. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between socioeconomic status and the incidence of stunting in Ngalang Gunungkidul. This type of quantitative research uses a cross-sectional design. Population 85 parents of toddlers 12-60 months with stunting conditions. The sample was obtained using the Solvin method: 46 parents of stunted toddlers who met the inclusion criteria. After the Spearmen rho test was obtained, many members in the family p=0.019; of many children of the family, p=0.010, the father's educational status is p=0.058, the mother's educational status is p=0.025, and the monthly income in the family p=0.023. There is Stunting is a prevalent nutritional issue among toddlers globally. The results showed a significant relationship between family size, number of children, mother's educational status, family income, and stunting in toddlers. However, no significant relationship was found between the father's educational status and stunting, suggesting the need for further research on the father's role. Preventative measures include participating in premarital classes and prioritizing a child's growth and development through proper nutrition, parenting, healthcare, and environmental sanitation.

CORRELATION OF FAMILY SUPPORT AND FAMILY RESILIENCE WITH DHF PREVENTION BEHAVIOR IN OLDER ADULTS

Background: The elderly are a vulnerable age group for Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF) with a high risk of death. Families must carry out their roles in efforts to prevent DHF in older adults. Purpose: This study aims to identify the correlation between family support and resilience with DHF prevention behavior. Methods: This study used a correlational design to detect a relationship between family support and resilience variables and DHF prevention behavior by older adults. The research location was at the Andalas Health Center in Padang, with 96 randomly recruited from seven elderly Integrated Public Health Centers. The instrument consisted of three closed-question questionnaires. Family support is identified through informational, reward, instrumental, and emotional indicators, while family resilience includes relationship communication, positive framing, and external resources. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rho test. Results: Most respondents were older adults (73.96%) aged 60-65 (68.75%). The correlation test between family support and family resilience with DHF prevention behavior has a significant relationship (0.00). Testing the correlation partially on each indicator shows the highest level of correlation on the instrumental indicator (0.83). The correlation between family support and resilience was highest on emotional and communication-relationship indicators (0.71). Conclusion: Family support and resilience are correlated with DHF prevention behavior by the elderly. Emotional support from the family through communication appropriate to the older adults' age phase is needed to prevent DHF.

In-vitro evaluation of wear characteristics, microhardness and color stability of dental restorative CAD/CAM materials

The aim of this study was to demonstrate the vertical and volumetric wear characteristics of CAD/CAM materials. The microhardness and color stability were evaluated. A polymer infiltrated ceramic network CAD/CAM block, resin nanoceramic CAD/CAM blocks, a resin composite, and enamel tissue were investigated. Samples were loaded in a chewing simulator. Other samples were aged and immersed in coffee. Color change was evaluated using the digital image analysis and a spectrophotometer. The data were analyzed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Kruskal Wallis, Mann Whitney U, Friedman, Spearman's rho tests (p<0.05). The lowest level of wear was obtained in enamel tissue group 0.20 (Q1:0.14; Q3:0.27μm). Resin composite group 2.48 (Q1:2.12; Q3:2.92) showed lower level of discoloration. No agreement was obtained between the digital image analysis and spectrophotometer data (Spearman's rho -0.314, p=0.014). Similar wear rate to the natural enamel tissue was obtained for Vita Enamic. Digital image analysis was considered a promising technique for monitoring the color change.

Hubungan Penggunaan Game Online Dengan Perilaku Agresif Verbal Pada Remaja Di Desa Bumisari Kecamatan Bojongsari Kabupaten Purbalingga

Today's youth cannot be separated from gadgets. Gadgets are not only used as a communication tool, but tend to be used to carry out online activities, one of which is online games. The environment of the game is based on violent plot activity, aggression and even gender intimidation. Aggressive actions taken by children as a result of playing games can appear because they lack or even do not care about real life. The study aims to determine the relationship between the use of online games and aggressive verbal behavior in adolescents in Bumisari Village, Bojongsari District, Purbalingga Regency. The sampling technique with a total sampling of 89 teenagers. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire on the use of online games and aggressive behavior. The results showed that there was a relationship between the use of online games and verbal aggressive behavior in adolescents in Bumisari Village, Bojongsari District, Purbalingga Regency. The results of the correlation test using the Spearman Rho test showed a value of p = 0.001 or p = ≤ 0.05. The correlation value (r) was obtained r = 0.349 which indicates a moderate (moderate) correlation strength between the use of online games and verbal aggressive behavior. The correlation value of r = 0.349 shows a positive relationship, which means that the higher the intensity of using online games, the higher the aggressive verbal behavior will be. The conclusion is that online games are related to verbal aggressive behavior in adolescents

THE CORRELATION BETWEEN SERVICE QUALITY AND THE LEVEL OF SATISFACTION OF BPJS PATIENTS IN THE INPATIENT ROOM HOSPITAL KH. ABDURRAHMAN SYAMSURI PACIRAN

Patient satisfaction depends on the quality of service provided. A service is said to be good by patients if the services provided can meet the needs or expectations of patients. This study was to determine the relationship between service quality and the level of satisfaction of BPJS patients in the Inpatient Room of KH Abdurrahman Syamsuri Paciran Hospital. The research used was quantitative research with a cross-sectional study approach. The population was all patients of BPJS participants who underwent treatment in the Inpatient Room of KH Abdurrahman Syamsuri Paciran Hospital—numbered 15 people. Sample withdrawal using accidental sampling with a sample size of 14 respondents. The data analysis performed was univariate and bivariate with the Spearmen rho test. The results showed that there was a relationship between reliability (p=0.001), empathy (p=0.001), responsiveness (p=0.001), and amenity (p=0.001). There was no relationship between assurance (p = 0 . 491), number of personnel (p=0.106), and availability of drugs (p=0.143) with BPJS patient satisfaction in the Inpatient Room of KH. Abdurrahman Syamsuri Paciran Hospital. The study concludes that there is a relationship between service quality and the level of satisfaction of BPJS patients in the Inpatient Room of KH. Abdurrahman Syamsuri Paciran Hospital. The results of this study are input to management to improve service quality based on the level of patient satisfaction of BPJS users. So that it will improve the quality and patient satisfaction.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE ROLE OF HEALTH WORKERS AND MOTIVATION FOR HIV/AIDS TESTING IN PREGNANT WOMEN

HIV infection in pregnant women can harm both mother and child and more than 90% of cases of children with HIV are transmitted from mother to child. Motivation related to HIV testing in pregnant women is still very low, seen from when health workers offer HIV tests to all pregnant women who are visiting Antenatal Care. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the role of health workers and the motivation for HIV/AIDS examination for pregnant women at the Campurejo Health Center, Mojoroto District, Kediri City in 2023. This type of research is quantitative using a crossectional design. By using the Simple Random Sampling sampling technique, the samples in this study were some pregnant women at the Campurejo Health Center, Mojoroto District, Kediri City amounting to 30 people. The data collection instrument in this study used a questionnaire sheet instrument. The research was conducted at the Campurejo Health Center, Mojoroto District, Kediri City. Bivariate analysis in this study used the spearman rho test. The results showed that almost half of the respondents who rated the role of health workers in the sufficient category were 14 respondents (46%), and some respondents had high motivation towards HIV/AIDS testing, namely 20 respondents (67%). The results of the statistical test of the correlation of Sperman Rho with a level of meaning p &lt; 0.05 showed a relationship between the role of health workers and the motivation of pregnant women to be tested for HIV / AIDS at the Campurejo Health Center, Mojoroto District, Kediri City with p = 0.034 and r = 0.387. DETERMINAN FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KADAR ASAM URAT PADA LANSIA YANG MENDERITA ASAM URAT DI KABUPATEN TULUNGAGUNG

Older people are at high risk of developing metabolic diseases such as high uric acid. The ability to do a protein diet needs to be improved in gout sufferers. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the relationship between dietary compliance and uric acid levels in the elderly at the Elderly Posyandu at, Tulungagung in 2023.&#x0D; The design used in this study is a corelational analytic design with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study were all elderly people suffering from gout at the Elderly Posyandu, Srikaton Village, Ngantru District, Tulungagung Regency, totaling 34 elderly people. The research sample was all elderly people suffering from gout at the Elderly Posyandu, Srikaton Village, Ngantru District, Tulungagung Regency, totaling 34 elderly people. In this study the sampling technique is total sampling. The research instruments were observation sheets and questionnaires equipped with general research data. Data processing in the form of editing, coding, scoring, tabulating was analyzed using the Spearman rho test.&#x0D; Based on the results of the study, the value of ρ was obtained (0.000) with α (0.05), because ρ &lt;α, then H1 is accepted, meaning that there is a relationship between dietary compliance and uric acid levels in the elderly at the Elderly Posyandu Tulungagung in 2023.&#x0D; It can be concluded that it is important for the elderly to comply with the diet to avoid excess uric acid levels. The inability of the elderly to control and maintain diet patterns is also complicated by the elderly where at that age there is a decrease in body function so that the regulation and balancing of the disposal of uric acid levels in the body is not good.

Influential articles in autism and gut microbiota: bibliometric profile and research trends.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a common neurodevelopmental disorder. Increasing evidence suggests that it is potentially related to gut microbiota, but no prior bibliometric analysis has been performed to explore the most influential works in the relationships between ASD and gut microbiota. In this study, we conducted an in-depth analysis of the most-cited articles in this field, aiming to provide insights to the existing body of research and guide future directions. A search strategy was constructed and conducted in the Web of Science database to identify the 100 most-cited papers in ASD and gut microbiota. The Biblioshiny package in R was used to analyze and visualize the relevant information, including citation counts, country distributions, authors, journals, and thematic analysis. Correlation and comparison analyses were performed using SPSS software. The top 100 influential manuscripts were published between 2000 and 2021, with a total citation of 40,662. The average number of citations annually increased over the years and was significantly correlated to the year of publication (r = 0.481, p < 0.01, Spearman's rho test). The United States was involved in the highest number of publications (n = 42). The number of publications in the journal was not significantly related to the journal's latest impact factor (r = 0.016, p > 0.05, Spearman's rho test). Co-occurrence network and thematic analysis identified several important areas, such as microbial metabolites of short-chain fatty acids and overlaps with irritable bowel syndrome. This bibliometric analysis provides the key information of the most influential studies in the area of ASD and gut microbiota, and suggests the hot topics and future directions. The findings of this study can serve as a valuable reference for researchers and policymakers, guiding the development and implementation of the scientific research strategies in this area.

Progesterone levels on hCG day and oocyte maturation in a Mexican IVF program.

Does progesterone levels on hCG day influence maturation rates and number of mature oocytes during ovarian stimulation for IVF/ICSI cycles?. A retrospective, observational, analytic, cross-sectional and cohort study was performed at the Reproductive Endocrinology Department of the Centro Médico Nacional 20 de Noviembre in Mexico City between 2015 to 2020. All female patients underwent an ovarian stimulation cycle for IVF/ICSI, either with a mild or conventional stimulation protocol. Patients were classified according to their progesterone levels, Group 1 <1.5ng/ml and Group 2 >1.5mg/ml. A Spearman Rho test, a simple linear regression model, a Principal Component Analysis and a Student's T-test, were performed. A total of 600 patients were included. The overall results showed that there is a positive correlation between the number of retrieved, mature oocytes and progesterone levels on HCG day. After the Principal Component Analysis we observed that poor ovarian responders had the lowest maturation rate and number of mature oocytes. While the Student's t test showed that progesterone levels beyond 1.5ng/ml are associated to a higher number of mature oocytes but not a better maturation rate. Higher serum progesterone levels are associated with increased retrieved and mature oocytes in high responders. At the same time, higher progesterone levels in lower responders are not associated with optimal ovarian response.

Life satisfaction among Spanish children and adolescents participating in Physical Education.

Life satisfaction has been determined as a cognitive indicator of subjective wellbeing, a term that acquires vital relevance during adolescence as a protective factor against numerous psychological, mental and social disorders. Therefore, the objectives of this study are: (1) to evaluate differences in life satisfaction as a function of gender and school environment in Spanish children and adolescents; and (2) examine the possible associations between life satisfaction and age and/or body mass index (BMI) of the student body. For this purpose, a cross-sectional study was carried out with 723 students (aged 6 to 18 years) in which the "Satisfaction with life Scale" was applied, consisting of 5 items that measure self-perception of life satisfaction. Nonparametric statistics (Mann-Whitney U test) were used to explore differences in scores according to sex and school environment, in addition to Spearman's Rho test to identify associations between scale scores and students' age and BMI. Significant differences were obtained in terms of sex in favor of the male gender, and between the two environments of the centers in favor of the rural ones. In addition, the two variables explored (age and BMI) showed significant inverse associations with life satisfaction levels. Therefore, educational interventions and policies must take this information into account to design and develop actions aimed at improving this cognitive factor.
