БИОЛОГИЯ РЕДКОГО ВИДА GLOBULARIA PUNCTATA (GLOBULARIACEAE) НА ТЕРРИТОРИИ НАЦИОНАЛЬНОГО ПАРКА «БАШКИРИЯ»

A study of the rare species Globularia punctata Lapeyr. was carried out. (Globulariaceae) in the National Park "Bashkiria" (Bashkortostan of Republic). The species is included in the Red Books of Russian Federation and Bashkortostan of Republic . G. punctata is a European species; in the South Urals, it has the easternmost fragment of its range. The features of biology and ontogenetic structure of the species have been studied. An assessment of the current state of two cоenopopulations located on the territory of the National Park is given. It was revealed that the CP Balatau is numerous (2-3 thousand individuals) and denser (10,3 ind./m2); the CP Tallytau is small (150-300 individuals), with a lower density (4.7 ind./m2). The study of the morphometric parameters of plants showed that qualitative traits are leading in the CP Tallytau, and quantitative traits are leading in the CP Balatau. All characters have a normal degree of variability (8.7-42.6%). According to the "delta-omega" classification, both CPs are young (CP Balatau - ∆ = 0.17, ω = 0.44; CP Tallytau - ∆ = 0.28, ω = 0.58). The recovery index in both CPUs is above one, the aging index is low. The ontogenetic spectrum of both CPs is left-sided, with a maximum on virginal individuals. The condition of the studied populations of G. punctata is stable and satisfactory. Anthropogenic impacts and overgrowth of its habitats with shrubs can be a threat to the species.

Risk of cataract of different morphological types in Urals population chronically exposed at low doses

ObjectiveTo assess the risk of lens opacity depending on the dose in the population exposed to external and internal radiation for a long time, based on a long-term clinical follow-up of the cohorts of people exposed to radiation as a result of two radiation accidents in the South Urals. MethodsA layer-by-layer morphological study of the lens of 1,377 exposed individuals was conducted according to a special program in the Clinical Department of the Urals Research Center for Radiation Medicine (URCRM) 68 years after the onset of exposure. Lens changes were classified in accordance with the lens opacities classification (LOCS) III and included images of lens. To calculate the doses to lens, the data were taken into account, including the person's residence history in the radioactively contaminated territory, age and sex that affected their lifestyle and diet, radionuclide distribution in organs and tissues. Individualized lens doses were calculated using Techa River Dosimetry System (TRDS)-2016. Case-control method was used for statistical analysis. ResultsIndividual values of absorbed dose to lens ranged from 0 to 600 ​mGy. A dose-dependent increased risk of posterior subcapsular cataract (PSC) (OR ​1.54, 95%CI: 1.04–2.27) and nuclear cataract (OR ​1.84, 95%CI: 1.14–2.95) was found among chronically exposed individuals by a case-control method. No evidence of dose effect was found for cortical cataracts. ConclusionsThe results showed that population exposed to long-term chronic low-dose radiation was subjected to an increased risk of PSC and nuclear cataract development.

Mixed crustal-mantle source of porphyry Cu-Mo deposits of the Urals: Pyrite trace element geochemistry and Pb – S isotope data

Developing genetic models of porphyry Cu-, Mo-, and Cu-Mo deposits requires knowledge on the source of metals for these deposits. Even though porphyry Cu deposits worldwide were relatively well-studied and the corresponding sources of metals were considered, porphyry Cu-Mo deposits of the Urals were not previously investigated. The paper presents new data on two porphyry Cu-Mo deposits of Paleozoic age: namely Late Devonian to Early Carboniferous Verkhneuralskoe in the South Urals and Late Carboniferous to Early Permian Talitsa in the Middle Urals. Pyrite trace element data indicate minor input of Ni, Tl, and Ag from host rocks of the Talitsa deposit. Talitsa and Vekhneuralskoe deposits are heterogeneous in Pb isotope composition and, on the contrary, homogeneous in S isotope composition which is typical for porphyry deposits worldwide. The both deposits show similar age-corrected Pb isotope compositions of sulfides (18.228 to 18.521 for 206Pb/204Pb, 15.598 to 15.705 for 206Pb/204Pb, and 38.087 to 38.474 for 208Pb/204Pb) and of magmatic and hydrothermal K-feldspars (from 18.291 to 18.449 for 206Pb/204Pb, from 15.598 to 15.608 for 207Pb/204Pb, and from 38.023 to 38.127 for 208Pb/204Pb); δ34S varies from −0.4 to +3.4 ‰. The isotope data suggest that granitoid melts were the dominant source of both sulfides and ore-bearing magmatic rocks. Mantle-crustal mixing model calculated for the Urals shows 95 % of mantle Pb in porphyry Cu-Mo deposits.

Additions to chrysophycean stomatocyst flora from South Urals shallow lake including descriptions of three new morphotypes

In this study we observed 17 additional morphotypes of chrysophycean stomatocysts from the shallow lake Zhurmankol which is located in a protected zone of South Urals steppes (Russia). Including our new records, the number of known chrysophycean stomatocysts from the Lake Zhurmankol increased to 32 morphotypes. Three morphotypes are described as new to science. Their similarity and difference from previously described morphotypes are discussed. While the biological affinity of two new morphotypes remains unknown, the third stomatocyst was produced by a heterotrophic chrysophyte species, Paraphysomonas bandaiensis. Critical analysis of the published micrographs of P. bandaiensis siliceous scales from Russia revealed that they belong to another, yet undescribed, taxon (or taxa). So, our report on P. bandaiensis is the first confirmed record of this species in Russia.

Migration in the Russian-Kazakhstan Border Region (on the Example of the South Urals)

After the collapse of the USSR, the contours of the new state borders crossed the areas of settlement of ethnic groups, making the issue of the nature of the frontier actual. In the Russian-Kazakh sector, this was clearly manifested in the discrepancy between the areas of settlement of the Russian-speaking population and the very line of the state border. The challenges generated by the Kazakhization policy and the difficulties of post-socialist transit stimulated the outflow of the population from the northern regions of Kazakhstan to Russia. The purpose of the article is to reconstruct the migration of the Russian-speaking population in the Russian-Kazakh border area using the example of the South Urals. The source database was made up of archival documents, information from the regional statistics committee on migration, and materials from interviews with Russian-speaking migrants from Kazakhstan. The basis of Central Asian migration to the region was the Russian-speaking population of the border regions of Kazakhstan (Russians, Tatars, Ukrainians, Germans). Two waves of migration stand out clearly: “forced” in the 1990s., and more “pragmatic” in 2000-2019 allowed to significantly compensate for the demographic losses, contributed to the influx of a young and economically active population into the region. The main areas of their exodus were Kostanay and Rudny (Kostanay region). The developed practices of cross-border cooperation and the presence of previously established communities allowed the newcomers to maintain strong ties with their “homeland”, to facilitate the recruitment of new migrants. In the course of the study, the author identified the quantitative and qualitative parameters of migration from Kazakhstan, and determined the role of the frontier in the migration processes to the South Urals.

At the Department of Life Safety of the South Ural State University, a methodology for assessing occupational risk was developed, which uses an integral assessment of the working conditions based on the standard for lost working time from morbidity with temporary disability. Occupational risk assessment according to the proposed method considers the impact of all dangerous and harmful factors on the employees. The assessment has a relatively low labor intensity, and can be carried out in a short time at the enterprises (in the organizations) with any type of economic activity through the specially developed software. According to the developed methodology, an assessment of the occupational risk was carried out in the organization of IDGC of Urals — Chelyabenergo with the coverage of about 5,000 employees. The article presents the results of the conducted calculations and their analysis. Using the formulas given in the article, the indicators can be determined both for one employee and for a group of employees (a structural unit or an organization as a whole). As a result, it was established that, in general, there is a moderate occupational risk in the branch office of IDGC of Urals — Chelyabenergo. This is a good result for a production organization. By analogy, the calculations were carried out for the production departments of the organization and the structural divisions of each department. When calculating on the structural subdivisions, additional information is provided about the employees with increased occupational risk (medium, significant, and high). In the absence of such employees, no information is provided. The article shows a comparative diagram of the occupational risk of the employees of IDGC of Urals — Chelyabenergo, and the employees of its production departments. In the production departments of the organization, there is a low, medium, and moderate risk. There are no production departments with significant and high occupational risk. Recommendations are also given on the possible application of the results of the risk assessment.

Carbonatite complexes of the South Urals: geochemical features, ore mineralization, and geodynamic settings

The article presents the results of study of the Ilmeno-Vishnevogorsky and Buldym carbonatite complexes in the Urals. It has been established that the carbonatites of the Ilmeno-Vishnevogorsky complex are represented by high-temperature calciocarbonatites (sövites I and II) with pyrochlore ore mineralization. U-Ta-rich populations of uranium pyrochlores (I) and fluorocalciopyrochlores (II) crystallize in miaskite-pegmatites and sövites I; fluorocalciopyrochlores (III) and Sr-REE-pyrochlores (IV) of late populations form in sövites II. In the Buldym complex, along with high-temperature calciocarbonatites containing fluorocalciopyrochlore (III), medium-temperature varieties of magnesiocarbonatites with REE-Nb mineralization (monazite, niobo-aeschynite, columbite, etc.) are widespread. Miaskites and carbonatites of the Urals are characterized by high contents of LILE (Sr, Ba, K, Rb) and HFSE (Nb, Ta, Zr, Hf, Ti), which are close to the contents in rift-related carbonatite complexes of intraplate settings and significantly differ from synorogenic collisional carbonatite complexes. The Ural carbonatite complexes formed on continental rift margins during the opening of the Ural Ocean at the time of transition from extensional to compressional tectonics. Later on, they were captured and deformed in the suture zone as a result of collision. Plastic and brittle deformations, anatexis, recrystallization of rocks and ores of carbonatite complexes in the Urals are associated with orogenic and post-collision settings.

LATE PALEOZOIC REMAGNETISATION AS AN INDEPENDENT INDICATOR OF TECTONIC PROCESSES IN THE SOUTHERN URALS

Analysis of secondary magnetization components (Late Paleozoic remagnetization) makes it possible to trace the formation of the Southern Urals folded system. The paper presents new data on the Late Paleozoic remagnetization of rocks in the Southern Urals. The results of the paleomagnetic study of rocks in various structural zones of the Southern Urals, obtained since 2009, were revised and supplemented again to identify the remagnetization component. Combined analysis of the newly obtained results and previously published data on Late Paleozoic remagnetization shows that in the western segment of the western slope of the South Urals the intermediate-temperature magnetization component (ITC) was acquired prior to or at the initial stages of deformation. In contrast, the ITC observed in the eastern segment arose after folding. In the western part of the Magnitogorsk zone in Devonian-age rocks, the average for all sites is post-folding. Deformations here occurred long before the final stage of the development of the Urals, most likely in late Devonian — early Carboniferous. In the Magnitogorsk-Bogdanovsky graben, in the early Carboniferous rocks, ITC has arisen during the process of deformation or shortly before it and at its initial stages. The Late Paleozoic remagnetisation identified in the paleomagnetic records is regional in nature and probably reflects a collisional event of the final stage of the evolution of the Ural Paleocean. Collision processes which occurred in the Southern Urals from the Late Devonian until the Late Permian time had undoubtedly left their trace in the western structures (in present-day coordinates). Within the passive margin of Baltica the collision resulted in the formation of a lateral series of fold-and-thrust structures. They started from the Main Uralian Fault westward, with possible gradual termination of this process towards the Pre-Uralian Foredeep. Paleomagnetic results of this research work support these assumptions.

Preparation of future teachers for the formation of personal self-determination of students in a virtual socializing environment

Introduction. In the conditions of the modern socializing environment, which acquires a virtual character and is characterized by a high degree of uncertainty, the problem of preparing future teachers for the formation of students' ability to self-determination is actualized. The purpose of our article is to analyze the difficulties that future teachers have in forming self-determination actions among students in a virtual socializing environment and substantiate the necessary changes in the content of pedagogical education. Methods. An online survey of 84 students of the Faculty of Primary School Teacher Training of the South Ural State Humanitarian Pedagogical University was conducted to identify existing competencies and difficulties in the formation of the ability of younger schoolchildren to self-determination. The method of content analysis of the content of 29 sample educational programs in pedagogical and psychological-pedagogical areas of higher education is used from the standpoint of reflecting in them the planned results of training future teachers to solve the problem of self-determination of the individual. Results. Dissatisfaction of 60% of students with the degree of readiness for the process under study was revealed, their difficulties were identified. The indicators of the orientation of educational programs to the formation of appropriate professional actions among students are determined. The lowest frequency coefficients of manifestation have indicators related to the skills of safe behavior and interaction with the subjects of the educational process in the world of virtual reality (0.1 and 0.06, respectively). A comprehensive solution to the problem of vocational training is proposed through integration with the processes of formation of critical thinking, functional and media-information literacy of students. Conclusion. The data obtained in the course of the study can be used to improve the process of preparing future teachers for professional activity, taking into account the opportunities and risks of a virtual socializing environment. This will ensure the formation of such educational actions among students as making a reasonable moral choice based on ethical norms; finding contradictions in the facts under consideration, recognizing reliable and unreliable information, etc.

Chemical Composition of Lipophilic Fractions of Raw Material Crataegus Rivularis Nutt

Aims: study of the composition of lyophilic substances in the raw materials of Crataegus rivularis Nutt.
 Study Design: experimental laboratory studies of dry plant materials.
 Place and Duration of Study: Bashkir State Medical University, Izhevsk State Medical Academy, Volga Research Medical University and Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences from August 2021 to May 2022.
 Methodology: Using gas chromatography with a mass-selective detector, lipophilic fractions of the fruits, shoots, flowers, leaves and fruits of riverine hawthorn, harvested in 2021 in the South Ural Botanical Garden-Institute, were studied.
 Results: In general, the shoots and leaves of Crataegus rivularis accumulate compounds of the class of steroids, phytosterols, terpenoids, saponins and phenolic compounds, which suggests that the raw material may have additional pharmacological properties, such as hypocholesterolemic and antioxidant.
 Conclusion: The results obtained show the good prospects for further studies of the composition of hawthorn extracts to expand the possibilities of phytotherapy.

Bone pathologies of modern caprines (Ovis aries &Capra hircus) in the context of the pasture-stall system of the steppe zone of the South Urals

ObjectivesVarious dentition and bone pathologies of the postcranial skeleton of caprines are regularly mentioned in archaeozoological studies. This work analyzes pathological and age-related changes in modern animals with known life histories in order to improve the accuracy of interpretation of pathologies of caprines from archaeological sites. Materials1468 bones of modern caprines (mainly sheep) have been analyzed. The bones originate from the territory in which there are numerous settlements of Bronze Age pastoralists. MethodsBones of modern caprines with pathologies have been compared with bones without changes. The age of the animals was determined by the state of the dental system and epiphyses, which made it possible to determine the approximate age range of the caprines, the bones of which are analyzed in the work. ResultsFor each skeletal element of modern caprines, typical kinds of changes have been revealed. In some cases, a correlation has been established between the number of pathological changes and the age of livestock. ConclusionDespite the known life histories of sheep and goats, the etiology of a number of identified changes remains unknown. Most of the recorded pathologies are typical for caprines and are difficult to use for the reconstruction of the nature of animal husbandry practices. SignificanceThis work analyzes a relatively extensive collection of bones of caprines with known life histories. It will allow the identification of typical bone pathologies in sheep and goats and their approximate etiology within a given breeding system and area. These data can be used in the framework of archaeozoological studies of the steppe zone of northern Eurasia and other territories. LimitationsThis research is limited to a relatively small number of bones and complete skeletons of modern caprines, alongside the near absence of complete skeletons of modern wild ungulates from the same microdistrict. Future researchThe most promising area of future work is a combined comparative study of a larger sample of bones of modern and Bronze Age caprines and wild ungulates of the same size class. It will allow changes to be identified directly related to animal husbandry practices.

A sequence of formation of «uranpyrochlore» and fluorocalciopyrochlore in alkali pegmatites from the Vishnevye Mountains, South Urals

The sequence of formation of pyrochlore crystals of various morphology and composition is considered in an aggregate with ilmenite and feldspar of nepheline-feldspar pegmatite at Mt. Dolgaya (Vish-nevye Mountains, South Urals): altered yellowish green «uranium pyrochlore» with a UO3 content of 7.62– 42.44 wt. % in different parts of the crystal, and also fuorocalciopyrochlore, fersmite, and associated minerals. The alteration of «uranpyrochlore» includes fersmitization and silicifcation in contrast to relatively late fuo-rocalciopyrochlore and fersmite. The compositions and Raman spectra of altered «uranpyrochlore» and later fuorocalciopyrochlore are given.

New data on mineralogy of the Sugur copper deposit, South Urals

The previous and new data on minerals and mineral assemblages of the Sugur copper deposit in Sugur Mountains of South Urals are summarized. The ores of the deposit host abundant calcite, andradite, diopside, magnetite, chromite and serpentine together with pyrite, chalcopyrite, chalcocite, pyrrhotite, millerite, and rare baddeleyite. The genesis of the deposit was previously considered both contact-metasomatic and hydrothermal. The new data allow us to attribute copper mineralization to a skarn-carbonatite system, which is locally recognized in the Karabash ultramafc massif.

НОВЕЙШИЕ АРХЕОГРАФИЧЕСКИЕ ИССЛЕДОВАНИЯ СОТРУДНИКОВ ОТДЕЛА ИСТОРИИ И ИСТОРИИ КУЛЬТУРЫ БАШКОРТОСТАНА ИНСТИТУТА ИСТОРИИ, ЯЗЫКА И ЛИТЕРАТУРЫ УФИЦ РАН

The article highlights the results of scientific and archeographic research by employees of the Department of History and Cultural History of Bashkortostan of the Order of the Badge of Honor of the Institute of History, Language and Literature of the Ural Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences over the past two decades. The historiographic traditions of archaeographic developments were laid down in pre-revolutionary regional historiography. In the 1930s with the support of the government of the Bashkir ASSR, with the help of Leningrad and Moscow researchers, the collection of «Materials on the History of the Bashkir ASSR» was published, as a result of which a colossal amount of unique primary sources was introduced into scientific circulation. A worthy contribution to the development of the problems of the national-state system was the scientific and archeographic development of B.Kh. Yuldashbaev. The creation in February 1972 on the basis of the IHLL of the South Ural Branch of the Archaeographic Commission of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR led to a significant expansion of archeographic research and publication of documents. In the post-Soviet period, the philosophy, methodology, and research topics of Russian historical science have changed dramatically, which is also reflected in the publication of primary sources. First of all, the scope of archeographic developments expanded - collections of documents appeared on the census of the population of the Ufa province in 1917 and 1920, the Muslim corps of deputies of the State Duma of Russia in 1906-1917, the Sufi sheikh Zaia Rasulev, on the participation of the Bashkir army in the Polish campaign (1771-1773) , about the Bashkir society according to the documents of the Ufa command hut of the end of the 16th-17th centuries. The research project "History of the Bashkir people" gave a great impetus to archeographic work at the Institute of Nuclear Literature - 8 volumes of collections of documents were published, in the preparation of which the employees of the department took an active part. The archaeographic work of the staff of the department continued later - the diary of the Ufa official M.S. Rebelinsky, as well as the second volume of «Materials on the History of Bashkortostan», which was prepared by A.P. Chuloshnikov by 1940, but remained unpublished due to the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. The processes of digitization of archival funds and the possibility of facsimile reproduction of archival originals, taking into account the achievements of the previous historiographic stage of archaeographic research, open up great opportunities for posing a wide range of research problems previously inaccessible to historians.

Reality of Russian Industrial Region in American Media: Aspects of Framing

The features of media framing of ideas about the strategically important industrial region for Russia in the American media is discussed in the article. A noticeable increase in foreign journalistic publications covering the problems of the Chelyabinsk region in the period from 2010 to 2021 determines the relevance of studying the generation of meanings about the South Urals as a subject of an open global society. In theoretical and methodological terms, the study is based on the achievements of foreign and domestic discourse studies, cognitive linguistics and the theory of cognitive-discursive world modeling. The material for the analysis was 271 texts selected by continuous sampling from 82 American editions of the last eleven years. The sociological interpretation of frame structures as interpretative schemes is taken as a basis. The concept of representational structure is refined and used to designate the discursive world as a conceptually complex unit of analysis, correlated with the processes and results of representing an industrial region in American media. The frame structures constituting the discursive world are revealed. It has been established that they determine the perception of the region through the prism of a limited set of characteristics included in the macroframes CULTURAL IDENTITY and SECURITY AND PROTECTION. The study contributes to media linguistics, discourse studies, and philological urban studies.

Scroll-like and platy molybdenite-3R from the Ufaley metamorphic block, South Urals: EBSD, XRD, SEM, EPMA and ICP-MS study

AbstractScroll-like crystals of molybdenite, 2–5 mm in size, were found in phengite rock from the outer contact of the granular quartz vein of the Kyshtym quartz deposit. Platy and partly scrolled molybdenite occur in the same phengite rock from the outer contact of the quartz–feldspar pegmatite of the Slyudyanogorsk mica deposit. Both occurrences are located in the Ufaley metamorphic block in the South Urals. Scroll-like molybdenite crystals can associate with platy and partly twisted crystals in the same samples. The chemical composition of molybdenite was studied by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) and electron probe microanalysis (EPMA). Polytypes of molybdenite were identified with electron back-scattered diffraction (EBSD) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Both scroll-like and platy molybdenite crystals are only represented by the 3R polytype, are enriched in Re up to 1 wt.% and contain no other significant impurities. Scroll-like molybdenite is twisted mainly around the crystallographic axis X. Twinning with a rotation of 60 degrees around the Z crystallographic axis is fixed in the plane (ab). The most probable origin of scroll molybdenites is the consequent growth of molybdenite around nucleation centres, which are commonly represented by mica crystals. The formation of the 3R polytype is caused by the difference in dimension of the layers enriched and depleted in rhenium.

Crystal chemistry and origin of REE-bearing mukhinite from carbonate veins of the Svetlinsky gold deposit, South Urals, Russia

AbstractA rare earth element (REE)-, Cr- and Mg-bearing variety of the vanadium epidote-group mineral mukhinite occurs in a calcite–dolomite carbonatite dyke cutting metamorphosed volcano-sedimentary rocks exposed in the walls of the quarry of the Svetlinsky gold deposit, South Urals. This mineral was found in a paragene assemblage including native sulphur, phlogopite and fluorophlogopite, together with accessory pyrite, other sulfides and sulfosalts, gold, Cr- and V-bearing muscovite, margarite, Cr- and V-bearing dravite, fluoro-tremolite, actinolite, fluoro-pargasite, anhydrite, apatite, uranium hydroxides, V-rich titanite, V- and Nb-rich rutile, spinel and corundum. The contents of ΣREE2O3 and V2O3 in mukhinite vary in the ranges of 4.01–9.69 and 5.34–7.46 wt.%, respectively. A Raman spectrum of REE-rich mukhinite is provided. The main schemes of isomorphic substitutions in mukhinite are ΣREE + Mg ↔ Ca + Al and V+Cr ↔ Al. The crystal structure of REE-rich mukhinite has been studied by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The mineral is monoclinic, with the space group P21/m, and unit-cell parameters are: a = 8.8972(11) Å, b = 5.6221(6) Å, c = 10.1519(12) Å, β = 115.169° and V = 459.60(11) Å3. The crystal structure of REE-rich mukhinite is similar to that of its synthetic analogue; the refined crystal-chemical formula of the sample studied is (Z = 2): {A1CaA2(Ca0.8REE0.2)}{M1(Al0.95Cr0.05)M2AlM3[(V,Cr)3+0.40Al0.35Mg0.25]}(Si2O7)(SiO4)O(OH).

Geology, mineralogy, geochemistry and conditions of forming the Tukan gold-quartz deposit (Khudolaz trough, South Urals)

Research subject. Detailed mineralogical and geochemical studies of rocks of the Tukan gold-quartz deposit (quartz veins, dolerites, gabbro-diorites) were carried out. The deposit is one of numerous small gold-quartz occurrences in the Khudolaz trough of the West Magnitogorsk zone.Methods. The morphology and composition of native gold was studied using an Axios kop 40 A optical microscope and Tescan Vega 3 and JEOL-6390LV scanning electron microscopes. The chemical composition of rocks was determined by X-ray fluorescence (Carl Zeiss VRA-30) and atomic emission (Shimadzu ICPE-9000) analyzes. Fluid inclusions were analyzed using Linkam TMS-600 thermostage equipped with Link-System 32 DV-NC software and an Olympus BX51 optical microscope. The gas composition of fluid inclusions was examined by Raman spectroscopy (Horiba LabRam HR800 Evolution).Results. Gold-bearing quartz veins and dolerites intersect ing the gabbrodiorite intrusion of the Khudolaz complex are associated with submeridional strike-slip faults. Native gold has a various morphology and is confined to cracks in quartz veins and altered dolerites. The composition of gold is stable, with the average fineness of 871 ± 8.3‰. An analysis of fluid inclusions in a gold-bearing quartz vein showed that gold was formed at temperatures of no less than 186–230°С from a fluid with a salinity of 4–8 wt % NaCl-eq. The presence of gases СО2, N2 and CH4 was found in fluid inclusions. Dolerites and gabbrodiorites hosting gold-bearing veins contain sulfides (pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, pentlandite, violarite), sulfoarsenides (cobaltite and its analogs), as well as mine rals of Ag (hessite) and Pb (kuranakhite and phases similar in composition to minerals of the dugganite group and burckhardtite). Conclusions. The sustained composition of native gold and a narrow range of salinity and homogenization temperatures of fluid inclusions indicate the formation of gold during a single stage of mineralization. The main source of gold could have been the dolerite dikes of the Ulugurtau complex. The presence of CO2, N2 and CH4 gases in fluid inclusions from goldbearing quartz indicates that not only magmatic fluid, but also fluid from the host rocks took part in mineral formation. The low value of the ratio X(CO2)/X(CH4) ≤ 0.7 indicates a moderately reduced ore-forming fluid. Low Au concentrations (0.1– 0.4 ppm) in quartz veins, dolerites, and gabbro-diorites, including those containing visible gold, indicate a weak commercial potential of the deposit
