This study presents an integrative review on the benefits of functional exercises for elderly health and well-being. With the global aging population and associated public health challenges, it is crucial to explore practices that enhance quality of life (SILVA; SANTOS, 2019). The research analyzed studies that highlight how functional training aids in maintaining physical fitness, autonomy, and disease prevention. Observed benefits include improvements in physical abilities, such as strength and balance, and cognitive function (ALMEIDA; CARDOSO, 2022), as well as a positive impact on social interaction and psychological well-being among the elderly (FREITAS; ALMEIDA, 2021). The study also discusses adapting exercise programs to meet individual needs, considering factors like health conditions and reduced mobility (RODRIGUES; LIMA, 2023)
