Dilemmas in comparative research of education for social work in EuropeDylematy badan porównawczych w obszarze edukacji do pracy socjalnej w Europie

This paper considers some of the issues that emerge from studies relating to standards and concepts of education for social professions in Europe, and looks at the methodology and dilemmas of cross-national comparison in the field of social education systems. Referring to the general methods of comparative research, the study deals with chosen elements within the structuring and functioning of the main concepts of education for social work in Europe, as well as some elements of the systems of education for social work, which can be identified as accepted standards of academic education. Using examples from research, the study shows how knowledge of comparative methodology can be applied when analyzing concepts and standards of education for social professions in Europe.

Straipsnyje atskleidžiami tie universalūs socialiniai-edukaciniai pokyčiai, kurie lėmė ikimokyklinio ugdymo sisteminę kaitą Europos Bendrijos šalyse ir suponavo naujo tipo ikimokyklinio ugdymo įstaigos modelį bei turėjo įtakos humanistinėms vaikų ugdymo sistemoms funkcionuoti ir joms palaikyti per tėvų švietimą. Nušviečiamos ikimokyklinio ugdymo sisteminių pokyčių, vykstančių pokomunistinėse Europos šalyse, kryptys. Apibūdinamos pagrindinės kaitos tendencijos ir tolesnės šios kaitos projekcijos.

In our country we have created a broad network of preschool institutions, the transition to universal mandatory secondary education is being brought to completion, and the role of non-school institutions in the upbringing of children is being considerably broadened. From all these developments is emerging a unified system of social education and upbringing of coming generations, and interaction of this system with the family is creating favorable conditions for shaping a new man, a worthy builder of communism. The present state of Soviet developmental and educational psychology as a scientific discipline is inextricably tied in with the requirements and prospects of the system of social education.

PHILOSOPHY IN THE UNIVERSITY

As the highest level in human social education system,the philosophy of university plays an important role in social development and the formation of streams of thoughts.The philosophy of university is about the nature of a university,its value,function and performing principles.It is an important factor in constructing the core competitive strength in universities. This paper expounds the philosophy of university from the perspectives of its relations with teaching,quality education and modern university systems.
