Reciprocal crosslink among MeCP2/BDNF /CREB signaling pinpointed in autism spectrum disorder.

Autism spectrum disorder, or individual disability (ID), is a condition characterized by complications in social interaction, restricted repetitive behavior, and difficulties in social communication. Neuquinon (NQ) possess a powerful therapeutic potential in various neurodegenerative disease. Nevertheless, contributing to NQ's low water solubility and bioavailability, its medicinal use has been constrained. Liposomes were supposed to be prospective drug-delivering agents for NQ, crossing the blood-brain barrier (BBB), and reaching the target organs. The current investigation aims to track the signaling pathways that govern NQ and liposomal neuquinon (LNQ) action in autistic models generated by ethyl formic acid. The neurotransmitters gamma amino-butyric acid (GABA), acetylcholine (ACh), and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in addition to, the gene expressions of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), cAMP response element-binding protein (CREB), and methyl-CpG-binding protein 2 (MeCP2) and the DNA damage COMET analysis at different time intervals of the study, were assessed. EFA in a dose of 500mg/kg BW was used to induce autism in rats, and then NQ and LNQ were administered in 10mg/kg and 2mg/kg BW, respectively. The results revealed that NQ and LNQ significantly down-regulated BDNF, GABA, and AChE; on the other hand, they up-regulated MeCP2, CREB gene expressions, and ACh action. NQ and LNQ displayed improvement in DNA damage in almost all brain regions after EFA alterations; even better results were noticed post-LNQ therapy. Therefore, it may be concluded that neuquinon and liposomal-loaded neuquinon have a therapeutic index versus EFA-induced autism in a rat model.

Autism spectrum disorder identification with multi-site functional magnetic resonance imaging

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by enduring difficulties in social interaction and communication. People analyzed with ASD may display repetitive behaviors and limited interests. Autism is classified as a spectrum disorder, implying that the symptom intensity might range from mild to severe depending on the individual. To detect ASD in this paper an attribute feature graph approach is designed by using the stastical dependencies features that necessarily accomplish the diagnosis of ASD. In the first phase the features extracted are designed based on the functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data, in the next-step the attribute feature graph layer learns the features of the node information of various nodes by ASD classification. Further, in the third step, it is employed to independently extract distinguishing features from the functional connectivity matrices of the brain that are derived from fMRI. The custom convolutional neural network (CNN) used in this study is trained on a comprehensive dataset comprising individuals diagnosed with ASD and typically developing individuals. In the fourth stage, a prototype learning is developed to augment the classification performance of the custom-CNN. The experimental analysis further carried out states that the proposed model works efficiently in comparison with the existing system.

Correlations of Physical and Psychological Health in Parents of Individuals With Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have social communication difficulties and restricted, repetitive, and/or sensory behaviors or interests. The prevalence of ASD is now 1 in 36 individuals. Parents of individuals with ASD face challenges that can affect their physical and psychological well-being. With the long-term goal to tailor an exercise program, the purpose of this study was 2-fold: (1) establish the baseline physical and mental health of parents of individuals with ASD and (2) estimate the relationship of physiologic variables with psychological variables of health for parents of individuals with ASD. This descriptive, cross-sectional study (N = 44) explored physical health measures and the correlation between physical and psychological health, using measures of anxiety, stress, parenting depression, and positive thinking for parents who care for individuals with ASD. The common characteristics that these parents shared was high body fat and low physical activity. Body fat was negatively correlated to total step count (r = -0.428, P < .05), grip strength (r = -0.319, P < .5), and total distance walked in the week (r = -0.661, P < .01), and positively correlated to 5-times sit to stand (r = 0.337, P < .05). Low activity correlated to increased parenting stress of advocating for child's needs (r = -0.310, P = .043). Understanding relationships between physical and psychological health informs effective interventions and support systems for parents. Parents need supports to be able to prioritize exercise. Future studies should include a larger sample to verify these effects.

Enhancing Pragmatic Language skills for Young children with Social communication difficulties (E-PLAYS-2) trial: study protocol for a cluster-randomised controlled trial evaluating a computerised intervention to promote communicative development and collaborative skills in young children

BackgroundA number of children experience difficulties with social communication and this has long-term deleterious effects on their mental health, social development and education. The E-PLAYS-2 study will test an intervention (‘E-PLAYS’) aimed at supporting such children. E-PLAYS uses a dyadic computer game to develop collaborative and communication skills. Preliminary studies by the authors show that E-PLAYS can produce improvements in children with social communication difficulties on communication test scores and observed collaborative behaviours. The study described here is a definitive trial to test the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of E-PLAYS delivered by teaching assistants in schools.MethodsThe aim of the E-PLAYS-2 trial is to establish the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of care as usual plus the E-PLAYS programme, delivered in primary schools, compared to care as usual. Cluster-randomisation will take place at school level to avoid contamination. The E-PLAYS intervention will be delivered by schools’ teaching assistants. Teachers will select suitable children (ages 5–7 years old) from their schools using guidelines provided by the research team. Assessments will include blinded language measures and observations (conducted by the research team), non-blinded teacher-reported measures of peer relations and classroom behaviour and parent-reported use of resources and quality of life. A process evaluation will also include interviews with parents, children and teaching assistants, observations of intervention delivery and a survey of care as usual.The primary analysis will compare pragmatic language scores for children who received the E-PLAYS intervention versus those who did not at 40 weeks post-randomisation. Secondary analyses will assess cost-effectiveness and a mixed methods process evaluation will provide richer data on the delivery of E-PLAYS.DiscussionThe aim of this study is to undertake a final, definitive test of the effectiveness of E-PLAYS when delivered by teaching assistants within schools. The use of technology in game form is a novel approach in an area where there are currently few available interventions. Should E-PLAYS prove to be effective at the end of this trial, we believe it is likely to be welcomed by schools, parents and children.Trial registrationISRCTN 17561417, registration date 19th December 2022.Protocol version: v1.1 19th June 2023.

Mothers’ evaluations of fathers’ contributions to raising children with autism spectrum disorder in the United Arab Emirates

BackgroundAutism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a lifelong neurological condition which results in social skill deficits, communication difficulties, and restrictive and repetitive behaviour. The difficulties associated with parenting children with ASD have been studied extensively, mainly from the perspectives of mothers. The extent of involvement of fathers in the raising of children with ASD has received limited scholarly attention, especially in non-Western contexts such as the United Arab Emirates.ObjectivesThis study asked mothers to evaluate the involvement of fathers in the development of children with ASD.MethodsIn all, 240 mothers completed the Fathers’ Involvement in Development and Rehabilitation Scale, designed based on a review of literature on the construct of involvement, namely attitude, participation in training, and support domains. The data were subjected to computation of mean scores, multivariate analysis of variance, hierarchical regression, and moderation analyses.ResultsThe results suggested that fathers held positive attitudes and provided substantial support to their children with ASD. However, mothers were ambivalent regarding the participation of fathers in training to support the development of their children. Differences were also observed between participants according to marital status, location, child gender, and ASD severity.ConclusionRecommendations for targeted training for fathers and other study implications are discussed.

Patterns of spontaneous neural activity associated with social communication abilities among infants and toddlers showing signs of autism.

Early disruptions to social communication development, including delays in joint attention and language, are among the earliest markers of autism spectrum disorder (autism, henceforth). Although social communication differences are a core feature of autism, there is marked heterogeneity in social communication-related development among infants and toddlers exhibiting autism symptoms. Neural markers of individual differences in joint attention and language abilities may provide important insight into heterogeneity in autism symptom expression during infancy and toddlerhood. This study examined patterns of spontaneous electroencephalography (EEG) activity associated with joint attention and language skills in 70 community-referred 12- to 23-month-olds with autism symptoms and elevated scores on an autism diagnostic instrument. Data-driven cluster-based permutation analyses revealed significant positive associations between relative alpha power (6-9Hz) and concurrent response to joint attention skills, receptive language, and expressive language abilities. Exploratory analyses also revealed significant negative associations between relative alpha power and measures of core autism features (i.e., social communication difficulties and restricted/repetitive behaviors). These findings shed light on the neural mechanisms underlying typical and atypical social communication development in emerging autism and provide a foundation for future work examining neural predictors of social communication growth and markers of intervention response.

The Role of Everyday Executive Function in Observed Social Symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Recent research suggests there may be differences in the social presentations of autistic males and females. Camouflaging is believed to account for some of these differences and executive function (EF) may support compensatory social behaviors. As few studies have explored the role of sex and everyday EF when evaluating specific social difficulties among autistic youth, the present study seeks to address this. The Social Responsiveness Scale-2 (SRS-2) was used to measure types of social difficulties and the Behavioral Rating Inventory of Executive Function-2 (BRIEF-2) served as a measure of everyday EF. Four three-step hierarchical multiple regressions were conducted with SRS-2 social subscales as dependent variables. Autism symptom severity, BRIEF-2 EF Indices (i.e., behavioral, emotional, and cognitive regulation), and sex served as independent variables. Types of EF impairment significantly predicted social symptoms of autism. Behavioral dysregulation predicted all social symptoms assessed, cognitive dysregulation predicted social awareness and communication challenges, and emotion dysregulation predicted social motivation and communication difficulties. Sex significantly predicted social communication and cognition challenges, beyond the contributions of age, IQ, autism severity, and EF impairment. Findings from this study provide evidence for the contribution of EF to observed social symptoms of autism. Results suggest there may be sex-based differences in the relationship between EF and social problems for autistic youth. Implications and future directions are discussed.

Difficulties and Psychological Experiences of Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD): A Cross-Sectional Study

Introduction: Autism spectrum disorders are brain development disorders with multifactorial etiology, identified by difficulties in communication and social interrelation, like recurrent and stereotyped attitudes, activities, and interests. Families with children with developmental disorders may experience more difficulties than families with children without disorders. Therefore there is a need Finding ways to reduce or manage parental stress for improve the family's quality of life through the evaluation of the causes. This study aims to analyze the difficulties experienced by caregivers and the perceived inclusion and inclusion of parents and children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) within the social fabric, thereby examining the difficulties parents face in daily life. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted online through snowball sampling until data saturation from November 2020 - March 2023, through the administration of an online questionnaire made through a Google form and disseminated through social media. Data analysis using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) Software version 17. Results: 404 parents of children with ASD 94.8% of whom are mothers with an average age of 40.23 years. The prevalence of parents correctly defined autism as "a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by difficulties in social interaction and communication, limited interests, and repetitive behaviors". At final diagnosis, the study results reported for 87.9% of parents sadness and grief at diagnosis, followed by fear (83.9%). Conclusions: Research in this area is critical as it can assist health care providers and scholars in understanding the unique issues parents face in raising a child with ASD, as well as support parents themselves in identifying factors that contribute to their stress level in order to take the right steps to reduce it and improve their overall well-being.

Gender Differences: Confirmatory Factor Analysis of the ADOS-II.

Recent research has suggested that autism may present differently in girls compared to boys, encouraging the exploration of a sex-differential diagnostic criteria. Gender differences in diagnostic assessments have been shown on the ADOS-II, such that, on average, females score significantly lower than males on all scales and are less likely to show atypicality on most items related to social communicative difficulties. Yet, gender differences in the latent structure of instruments like the ADOS-II have not been examined systematically. As such, this secondary data analysis examined 4,100 youth diagnosed with autism (Mage = 9.9, 813 female & 3287 male) examined item response trends by gender on the ADOS-II Module 3. Multi-Group Confirmatory Factor Analysis results show that the factor loadings of four ADOS-II items differ across the genders. One SCD item and one RRB item are strongly related to the latent factor in the female group, while two RRB items have larger factor loadings in the male group. The assumption of an identical latent factor structure for the ADOS-II Module 3 for males and females might not be justifiable. Possible diagnostic implications are discussed.

Hybrid model for speech emotion recognition of normal and autistic children (SERNAC)

Since the last decade, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) has been used as a general term to describe a wide range of conditions, including autistic syndrome, Asperger's disorder, and pervasive developmental disability. This problem emerges as a decreased ability to share emotions and a greater difficulty understanding others' feelings, leading to increased social communication difficulties. To assist patients with ASD, we proposed a concept that incorporates speech emotion detection technologies, which are widely used in the field of human-computer interaction (particularly youngsters). An algorithm based on a novel method for classifying normal and autistic children's speech emotions is implemented in this article. The training data set is treated to a new approach after all features have been extracted. The technique discussed in this study is the creation of a hybrid algorithm that serves as a classifier for normal and autistic children's speech emotions. Voice emotion recognition can be identified accurately and with a lower error rate. The data collection includes speech samples from 200 normal and 250 autistic groups in four moods (Angry, Happy, Neutral and Sad). As per research findings, the implemented hybrid algorithm for Normal and Autistic Children Speech Emotions (SERNAC) outperformed the existing classifiers by increasing accuracy.

Utilizing Constructed Neural Networks for Autism Screening

Autism Spectrum Disorder is known to cause difficulties in social interaction and communication, as well as repetitive patterns of behavior, interests, or hobbies. These challenges can significantly affect the individual’s daily life. Therefore, it is crucial to identify and assess children with Autism Spectrum Disorder early to significantly benefit the long-term health of children. Unfortunately, many children are not diagnosed or are misdiagnosed, which means they miss out on the necessary interventions. Clinicians and other experts face various challenges during the diagnostic process. Digital tools can facilitate early diagnosis effectively. This study aimed to explore the use of machine learning techniques on a dataset collected from a serious game designed for children with autism to investigate how these techniques can assist in classification and make the clinical process more efficient. The responses were gathered from children who participated in interactive games deployed on mobile devices, and the data were analyzed using various types of neural networks, such as multilayer perceptrons and constructed neural networks. The performance metrics of these models, including error rate, precision, and recall, were reported, and the comparative experiments revealed that the constructed neural network using the integer rule-based neural networks approach was superior. Based on the evaluation metrics, this method showed the lowest error rate of 11.77%, a high accuracy of 0.75, and a good recall of 0.66. Thus, it can be an effective way to classify both typically developed children and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Additionally, it can be used for automatic screening procedures in an intelligent system. The results indicate that clinicians could use these techniques to enhance conventional screening methods and contribute to providing better care for individuals with autism.

The Efficacy of Music Therapy Programs on the Development of Social Communication in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder: A Systematic Review

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children is characterized by difficulties in social communication and restricted repetitive behavior patterns. Music therapy appears to have beneficial effects in the area of social interaction and communication. The aim of this systematic literature review is to investigate the effectiveness of music therapy programs on the development of social communication among preschool- and school-aged children with ASD. For this purpose, a detailed study of the relevant literature that has been published in the last decade in peer-reviewed scientific journals was conducted. Web of Science, Springer Link, PsyINFO, and ERIC databases were searched, and according to the eligibility and exclusion criteria, 12 studies were finally selected from the 167 initially found. From the analysis of the results, the following categories were defined to contribute to enhancing social communication: (a) improvisational music therapy; (b) joint attention and eye contact; (c) therapeutic relationship, synchronization, and attunement; (d) imitation; (e) understanding and interaction; (f) family-centered music therapy; and (g) language and socioemotional adjustment. The results of the review were mixed, as music therapy appeared to have a positive effect on improving the social communication of children with ASD, but a general conclusion could not be drawn about the degree of its effectiveness compared to the standard treatments that children usually receive. In the future, further research in this field, especially on the improvisational music Therapy technique, is recommended. Moreover, an increased focus on the development of a common methodological practice regarding the sample selection process and measurement tools is suggested.

Study of toxic metal pollution in autistic patients in Thi-Qar Governorate

Background. Autism-spectrum disorders (ASDs) are a group of chronic neurodevelopmental conditions characterized by difficulties in social interaction and communication, as well as rigid thinking and behavior. Aim of this study. This study aimed to examine the potential impact of trace metals, specifically copper, iron, and zinc, in the development of autism spectrum disease. Materials and method. A total of 100 blood samples were collected from patients diagnosed with autism, while an additional 100 samples were taken from healthy individuals serving as a control group. The individuals separated into three distinct groups: Group A (control) consisted of one hundred healthy participants aged 3-14 years. Group B consisted of one hundred patients diagnosed with autism, ranging in age from 3 to 14 years old. Results. The findings demonstrated a substantial elevation in the levels of lead (Pb), selenium (Se), cadmium (Cd), nickel (Ni), and chromium (Cr) in all groups of patients as compared to the control group. Conclusion. The present study is of the relationship between trace elements and autism. It was observed that the concentration of lead (Pb) and chromium (Cr) was significantly higher in women who did not consume folic acid compared to those who did. On the other hand, the level of nickel (Ni) was significantly lower in women who did not consume folic acid compared to those who did.

Analysis of Different Treatment Methods for Autism

Autism, the full name of autism spectrum disorder, is a type of inborn, congenital, or onset in infancy, characterized by social communication difficulties, narrow interests, repetitive stereotyped behaviors, and sensory perception. In recent decades, the incidence of autism has been increasing worldwide. It is estimated that the average prevalence of autism worldwide is about 1%. Therefore, there is no doubt that autism has become a public health issue that has attracted great attention and attention from societies and governments around the world. It is also one of the key topics in neuro-medical research today, although many researchers have conducted corresponding clinical experiments on treatments for autism. However, there are still some unresolved problems in the treatment of autism in Chinese medicine. As a result, this article uses literature review and survey research methods, mainly studies and summarizes traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of autism and compares the shortcomings of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of patients with autism. And the treatment and popularization of autism still need to continue to be researched and promoted.

Personalized repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation guided by the spectral electroencephalogram may enhance and democratize therapy for autism spectrum disorder

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a genetically heterogeneous group of neurodevelopmental disorders that affect 1 in 36 children (CDC data) and have recognizable core deficits in common, including repetitive stereotyped behaviors and difficulties in social interaction and communication. Pharmacological interventions moderate some ASD comorbidities, but do not alleviate core deficits and have significant side effects. While many behavioral therapies are inadequate, a very intensive form called applied behavioral analysis (ABA) is demonstrably effective. ABA is based on graded progression and immediate feedback. ABA has raised concerns over its intensive nature and has triggered unease about being too harsh. One solution may derive from a widespread hypothesis of ASD pathogenesis, which posits that the brain in ASD is overexcited, i.e., excitation dominates over inhibition, and electroencephalographic (EEG) alpha band oscillatory activity is altered, which degrades sensory input and task management. This may also disrupt the brain mesolimbic dopaminergic reward cascade causing social interactions to be unrewarding, leading to deleterious social behavior and poor communication. We hypothesize that a comprehensive, personalized form of spectral EEG guided repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation that we term PrTMS, can normalize alpha EEG oscillations, E/I balance, and dopaminergic reward signaling, to facilitate improved psychosocial behavior. The goal is for PrTMS to synergize with behavioral interventions, so that ABA for example, could be less intensive. This may hold the promise of making self-determination more readily attainable for ASD persons, and could also democratize ASD therapy by rendering it more affordable.

Screening preterm-born infants for autistic traits may help to identify social communication difficulties at five years of age.

This study compared neurodevelopmental screening questionnaires completed when preterm-born children reached 2 years of corrected age with social communication skills at 5.5 years of age. Eligible subjects were born in 2011 at 24-34 weeks of gestation, participated in a French population-based epidemiological study and were free of motor and sensory impairment at 2 years of corrected age. The Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) and the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT) were used at 2 years and the Social Communication Questionnaire (SCQ) at 5.5 years of age. We focused on 2119 children. At 2 years of corrected age, the M-CHAT showed autistic traits in 20.7%, 18.5% and 18.2% of the children born at 24-26, 27-31 and 32-34 weeks of gestation, respectively (p = 0.7). At 5.5 years of age, 12.6%, 12.7% and 9.6% risked social communication difficulties, with an SCQ score ≥90th percentile (p = 0.2). A positive M-CHAT score at 2 years was associated with higher risks of social communication difficulties at 5.5 years of age (odds ratio 3.46, 95% confidence interval 2.04-5.86, p < 0.001). Stratifying ASQ scores produced similar results. Using parental neurodevelopmental screening questionnaires for preterm-born children helped to identify the risk of later social communication difficulties.

The Application of Extended Reality in Treating Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a common neurodevelopmental disorder in children, characterized by social interaction, communication difficulties, and repetitive and stereotyped behaviors. Existing intervention methods have limitations, such as requiring long treatment periods and needing to be more convenient to implement. Extended Reality (XR) technology offers a virtual environment to enhance children's social, communication, and self-regulation skills. This paper compares XR theoretical models, application examples, and intervention effects. The study reveals that XR intervention therapy is mainly based on cognitive rehabilitation, teaching, and social-emotional learning theories. It utilizes algorithms, models, artificial intelligence (AI), eye-tracking, and other technologies for interaction, achieving diverse intervention outcomes. Participants showed effective improvement in competency barriers using XR-based multimodal interactive platforms. However, Mixed Reality (MR) technology still requires further development. Future research should explore multimsodal interaction technologies combining XR and AI, optimize models, prioritize the development of MR intervention scenarios, and sustain an optimal intervention level.

Conducting head-mounted eye-tracking research with young children with autism and children with increased likelihood of later autism diagnosis

BackgroundOver the past years, researchers have been using head-mounted eye-tracking systems to study young children’s gaze behaviors in everyday activities through which children learn about the world. This method has great potential to further our understanding of how millisecond-level gaze behaviors create multisensory experiences and fluctuate around social environments. While this line of work can yield insight into early perceptual experiences and potential learning mechanisms, the majority of the work is exclusively conducted with typically-developing children. Sensory sensitivities, social-communication difficulties, and challenging behaviors (e.g., disruption, elopement) are common among children with developmental disorders, and they may represent potential methodological challenges for collecting high-quality data.ResultsIn this paper, we describe our research practices of using head-mounted eye trackers with 41 autistic children and 17 children with increased likelihood of later autism diagnosis without auditory or visual impairments, including those who are minimally or nonspeaking and/or have intellectual disabilities. The success rate in gathering data among children with autism was 92.68%. 3 of 41 children failed to complete the play-session, resulting in an 86.36% success rate among 1–4-year-olds and a 100.00% success rate among 5–8-year-olds. 1 of 17 children with increased likelihood of later autism diagnosis failed to complete the play-session, resulting in a success rate of 94.11%. There were numerous “challenging” behaviors relevant to the method. The most common challenging behaviors included taking the eye-tracking device off, elopement, and becoming distressed. Overall, among children with autism, 88.8% of 1–4-year-olds and 29.4% of 5–8-year-olds exhibited at least one challenging behavior.ConclusionsResearch capitalizing on this methodology has the potential to reveal early, socially-mediated gaze behaviors that are relevant for autism screening, diagnosis, and intervention purposes. We hope that our efforts in documenting our study methodology will help researchers and clinicians effectively study early naturally-occuring gaze behaviors of children during non-experimental contexts across the spectrum and other developmental disabilities using head-mounted eye-tracking. Ultimately, such applications may increase the generalizability of results, better reflect the diversity of individual characteristics, and offer new ways in which this method can contribute to the field.

To date, there is no evidence supporting the existence of an association between Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and extremism in the general population. However, there is increasing recognition that several features of ASD may provide the context of vulnerability to engage in extremist behaviour. This paper sets out the case for a dedicated clinical approach to better integrate clinical risk appraisal processes with an assessment of ASD individuals' vulnerabilities within the Criminal Justice System. In this paper the Framework for the Assessment of Risk & Protection in Offenders on the Autistic Spectrum (FARAS): A Guide for Risk Assessors Working with Offenders on the Autistic Spectrum is explored. In developing the FARAS, Al-Attar proposed seven facets of ASD that 'may have different functional links with push and pull factors to terrorism' (p. 928), which include circumscribed interests; rich vivid fantasy and impaired social imagination; need for order, rules, rituals, routine and predictability; obsessionality, repetition and collecting; social interaction and communication difficulties; cognitive styles and Sensory processing. We describe the FARAS within the context of the most widely used clinical risk appraisal 'aide memoire' instruments integral to the Structured Professional Judgement of risk process, namely the HCR20v3.
