SOCIAL SUCCESS AS A COMPONENT OF STUDENT YOUTH ACTIVITY

The article discusses the concepts of social success and social activity of student youth. The need of an individual to achieve social success and the ability to solve urgent problems in society is becoming increasingly important. Active work is the key to social success and the formation of a socially successful personality. The purpose of the article is to substantiate social success as a condition for the formation of social activity of students. The social success of a student in a higher education institution is formed in the process of certain activities, social activity, and interpersonal interaction. The issue of social success and activity of a higher education student is defined as one of the priority goals in a number of regulatory documents. The authors used the methods of theoretical analysis of modern scientific literature of Ukrainian and foreign researchers, generalization, and systematization to deepen the understanding of the concept of social success and activity of student youth. Research attention is paid to the importance of promoting the level of social activity of student youth and social performance, as this affects not only the formation of an active life position of students, but also helps to improve the level of knowledge acquisition. The article reveals the concept of student's social activity, in particular, as a personality quality manifested in various forms of socially important activities, in particular, those which are a manifestation of social success. The achievement of social success by a person is impossible without his or her social activity in important areas of life. That is why the formation of social activity of student youth is one of the important tasks of a higher education institution, because it will help in the future to form a successful personality who will have an active life position and a desire to influence not only the life of the community, but also the life of the country.

Moral and patriotic coordinates of volunteer activity as a means of building educational and socio-pedagogical work

In the article, the built picture of the four-vector phenomenology of voluntary activity (heroic, victim, transformative, life-affirming) can serve as a kind of “ethical map” for measuring the motivation for participation in volunteering. In addition, it can serve as the basis for determining the goals and mission of building educational and socio-pedagogical work in various volunteer associations. The problem of the formation of social activity of student youth in the conditions of reforming Ukrainian society is analyzed, the criteria of social activity, the importance of social activity for the further development of society and the professional development of students are considered. The concept of volunteering as a segment of civil society, the main directions of volunteering in modern Ukraine, the impact of hostilities in the East of the country on the development of volunteering have been studied. The thesis about the dialectical relationship between social activity and students' participation in volunteer activities is substantiated, where volunteer activity is considered as a manifestation of social activity and as a factor in its formation. An example of the activities of a higher educational institution regarding the involvement of students in volunteer practice as an important factor in the formation of students' social activity is given.

The purpose of the study is to identify the state, dynamics and direction of the social activity of student youth in the North Caucasus. The article discusses the factors that shape the public consciousness of the younger generation. Scientific novelty lies in the generalization and analysis of the results of sociological surveys of young people in the field of political activity and civic participation. As a result, it was revealed that young people have a high potential for socio-political activity, manifested mainly in social volunteering and forms of network participation. Young people have an actual demand for the formation of a favorable social environment that provides ample opportunities for public participation.

THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES OF SOCIAL ACTIVITY OF STUDENTS

The purpose of the study is to determine the approaches to the concept of social activity on the basis of theoretical interdisciplinary analysis, to reveal the importance of the formation of social activity in student youth. Research methods: interdisciplinary analysis, synthesis, systematization, comparison and generalization - to determine the content of the concept of social activity of student youth. This article provides an interdisciplinary analysis of the concept of «social activity» in the following areas: philosophy, psychology, social work (social pedagogy), sociology, pedagogy - the result of which is summarized in the table. The concept of "student youth" is analyzed and 4 approaches to this concept are suggested by A. Murzin and N. Solodyuk. The relevance of the formation of social activity in the student youth, as a significant part of society, which has an impact on the state-making processes is investigated. The statistical data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. Student youth as a social group is a separate sphere of society with its own peculiarities, which only confirms the importance of studying the formation of social activity in this target group. The article considers volunteer activity as a component of social activity. Presented the project "Online School of Volunteering for Students", which was developed as part of the Winter School of Young Scientists of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine within the framework of the implementation of the British Council project «Active Citizens» in cooperation with the CS «International Foundation for Development». The project was developed by an interdisciplinary, nationwide team of experts. 10 themes of interactive lessons - that are divided into 5 blocks and focus on the topic of volunteering and social activities - are described. The basics of volunteer activities, proper and effective communication with customers, as well as information on working in communities is presented. Attention is paid to emotional sensitivity and the topic of resolving conflict situations is addressed. We believe that the prospect of further research is the implementation of thematic interactive classes with elements of training in institutions of higher education, to increase social activity and to provide students with relevant information on volunteer activities and their effective implementation.

FEATURES OF THE FORMATION OF SOCIAL ACTIVITY OF YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES

Introduction. The integration of youth with disabilities, as well as their inclusion in a full and active life, is an important stage in the development of modern Ukrainian society. Accordingly, the values of inclusion, its principles and ideas provide that no person should be separated from society, and the status of a disabled person cannot deprive one of the opportunity to be a full member of society. Despite the positive experience of solving important youth issues, in Ukraine there are also challenges for young people with disabilities, related to the need for self-realization and development of their potential, which affects the ability to be an independent, sustainable, active member of the community. The relevance of the issue of inclusion of young people with disabilities in life in society is related both to the psychological characteristics of the individual (shyness, isolation, avoidance of failure, inability to adapt to new circumstances, imperfection of social and communication skills, etc.), and to their lack of active life position and the development of dependent tendencies (insufficient formation of prosocial motives for behavior, reluctance to change one’s own life or fear of change). The reduced activity of young people with disabilities, in a certain way, is related to barriers that prevent people of this category from receiving such services as health care, education, professional employment, active leisure, mobility, as well as access to information resources, etc. Purpose. The purpose of the article is to reveal the peculiarities of the formation of social activity of young people with special educational needs in the process of obtaining an education and in extracurricular activities. Achieving the set goal was facilitated by solving the following tasks: – disclosure of the concept of «social activity»; – consideration of the factors of formation of social activity of student youth of different levels; – determination of specific features of the formation of social activity of youth with disabilities. Results. The factors of the formation of social activity of student youth at the macro level (levels of society), meso level (levels of the educational environment) and micro level (personal level) are analyzed. Modern priority vectors of theoretical and practical experience of scientists regarding the issue of formation of social activity in the process of socialization of the individual under the direct influence of a complex of external and internal factors are outlined. The specifics of the activity and activity of students with disabilities in the process of studying at a higher education institution and in extracurricular activities have been clarified. Ways of formation and development of social activity of young people with health disorders are proposed.

ОСОБЕННОСТИ ПРОФЕССИОНАЛИЗАЦИИ БУДУЩИХ СПЕЦИАЛИСТОВ В УСЛОВИЯХ СОВРЕМЕННЫХ ВЫЗОВОВ

The modern social situation determines the desire of modern youth to adapt to a changing reality, to choose the most acceptable adaptation strategies. In these conditions, the problems of professional socialization of students in the educational process of the university are updated. The purpose of the article: to characterize the features of the professionalization of future specialists in social work; highlight the factors affecting the professional formation of the person in the conditions of university training. In the course of the study, the following methods were used: a set of diagnostic procedures based on pedagogical, psychological and sociological research methods (survey, questionnaire, testing, etc.) Study results. The content of the article is based on the results of monitoring studies of student youth of Buryatia conducted by the author in 2011–2022. Such features of the professional formation of the student’s personality are distinguished as the lack of awareness of applicants in choosing a future profession, the low level of their professional motivation due to obtaining a diploma as a priority goal. There are factors that determine the attitude of students to the chosen profession: the low prestige of the profession in society, work causes physical strain, insufficient level of remuneration. Comparative analysis of the monitoring study made it possible to present the characteristics of social activity of student youth as one of the factors influencing their professionalization.

FORMATION OF SOCIAL ACTIVITY OF STUDENT YOUTH BY MEANS OF STUDENT SELF-GOVERNMENT IN THE COURSE OF PROJECT ACTIVITY


 The article considers the essence and ways of solving an important task of a modern secondary school - the formation of social activity of student youth. Possibilities of student self-government in the context of solving this problem are analyzed. One of the ways of social activation of schoolchildren is considered - their involvement in work on various projects, during the implementation of which students learn to identify socially significant problems and make fruitful efforts to solve them.
 The purpose of the article is to substantiate the feasibility of using student government projects to form the social activity of student youth.
 The results of the research are given, which give grounds to consider student self-government as an actual and perspective means of activating schoolchildren as members of society, young citizens of Ukraine. One of the activities of student government, which is comprehensive and contributes to its effectiveness and influence in the school and out-of-school environment, is a project activity, which today has a wider scope and deserves further study, in particular in the context of solving educational problems of secondary school .

ANALYSIS OF SCIENTIFIC APPROACHES TO THE ESSENCE OF SOCIAL ACTIVITY OF STUDENT YOUTH

Based on the identification of the main approaches to understanding the content of personality activity in general, the article highlights the main scientific approaches to interpreting of the essence of social activity of the individual: activity, acmeological, systemic, subjective, axiological, genetic modeling. It is determined that the most appropriate is the author’s proposed subject-activity approach to the interpretation of the essence of social activity of student youth. We consider the subjectivity of the individual as an important prerequisite and, at the same time, the result of social activity of students, which is realized through an active and responsible attitude to themselves, to various objects, to another person, to educational and future professional activities. At the heart of the activity of the independent subject of life we see: readiness and ability to realize their interests and the interests of society; constant and strong desire to influence social processes and real participation in public affairs; the desire to strengthen and improve the existing social order, based on the assimilation of social values and the realization of their goals, taking into account the interests of society. According to the subject-activity approach, social activity of the individual is considered by us as a personal formation of prosocial orientation, internally determined by individual needs, values, volitional characteristics and characteristics of person, and outwardly manifested in the transformation of society and personality, that is in social activity.

Social activity of student youth in the Rostov region: institutional aspects and subjective perception

The author analyzes the features of social activity of student youth by studying the structural components: motivational, resource availability and subjective perception that are influenced by the specially created institutional conditions. Through a survey of socially active students, it is discovered that the essential idea of this activity characterized by dominating motives of the public good does not correspond to reality which is based primarily on the pragmatic motivation of the subjects of activity. It is established that the created institutional conditions form the resource availability, which is sought after by students and represented by the cultural and social capitals, and the increased expectations of converting the capitals into professional resources at the start of their career. A semi-standard in-depth interview is conducted among working youth who engage in social activity during the university course. The results of the interview indicate that the resource availability formed by the social activity remains unutilized by employers at the start of one's career. Based on the results of the interview, the author notes the contradictions of the efficient conversion of social activity into professional resources.

WORLD EXPERIENCE OF FORMATION OF SOCIAL ACTIVITY OF STUDENT YOUTH IN LEISURE ACTIVITY

Informatization of all spheres of life leads to the formation of new challenges (Internet addiction, cyberterrorism, consumerism, information suggestions, etc.) facing modern young people, in particular students. Given the leading activities of student youth (educational and leisure), the urgency of the organization of extracurricular environment of universities in order to form a socially active person capable of overcoming these challenges of society. The purpose of the article is to study and analyze the current state of formation of social activity of student youth in leisure activities in Ukraine and abroad. To achieve this goal, the following theoretical research methods were selected and used: analysis of scientific sources on the state of study of the problem; theoretical generalization and comparison of Ukrainian and foreign approaches to the formation of social activity of students by means of leisure activities in the modern information society. The result of comparative analysis of Ukrainian and foreign experience in the formation of social activity of student youth in leisure activities is to determine the appropriateness of incentives (financial, rating) in attracting students to socially useful activities, is a manifestation of the formation of their social activity. The positive influence of the organization of student government and student creative associations is established. Given the foreign experience, it is important to provide Ukrainian universities with modern information and communication technologies to improve the formation of social activity of student youth. The prospect of further research is the organization and implementation of a system of social and pedagogical leisure activities to form the social activity of students, taking into account positive foreign experience, which will contribute to the expansion of the socio-cultural environment and the development of components of social activity of students.

Analysis of Effectiveness of the Social-Pedagogical Leisure Activities System for Formation of Student Youth’s Social Activity

Formation of student youth’s social activity is the leading task of social education, especially under conditions of information society. If psychological and age traits of students as a social group are to be taken into account, the beneficial means of harmonizing this process is leisure activities. Based on interdisciplinary and integrated approaches, a system of social-pedagogical leisure activities was developed to form social activity of student youth. The aim of this article is to analyze the implementation of the social-pedagogical leisure activities system of student youth’s social activity formation. The task of this article is to study the levels of student youth’s social activity before and after implementing the social-pedagogical leisure activities system and to analyze its effectiveness using the corresponding methods. According to outlined tasks, the following methods and indices were selected and used: relative indices method, grouping method, quantitative and qualitative analysis method, Student’s t-test, graphical method. Thanks to systematic approach to experimental part of the research, it was established that the level of students’ social activity formation has improved: the specific share of young people with low level has decreased significantly, while of those with high level has increased. Group curators have noted the tendencies of young people to organize leisure activities, while students themselves were becoming involved in useful leisure practices that were new to them. Effectiveness of the new system was confirmed using statistical methods.

Специфіка формування соціальної активності студентської молоді у дозвіллєвій діяльності

The relevance of the study of the specifics of the formation of social activity of student youth in leisure activities is to find a favorable environment and tools to facilitate this process. Despite the latest living conditions (virtualization of social space, partial movement of the main activities to the Internet, transformation and development of inter-social problems, uncontrollability of virtual space, etc.), informatization has covered most of the leading types of students' activities, including leisure activities. Leisure activities as one of the integral components of student’s life, forms a flexible and mobile environment to facilitate the formation of social activity. The leisure activities of students in the information society are the value-based free election and active participation of students in order to satisfy the physical, spiritual and social needs in the leisure spatial and institutional environment of the information age, consisting of the extracurricular space of a higher education institutions, an open sphere of leisure, virtual leisure environment represented by a variety of ICTs, with the aim of developing socially significant qualities of this social group (social creativity, social responsibility, initiative, mobility, determination, etc.). The analysis of modern traditional and the latest leisure activities of students allowed us to determine the specifics of the formation of student’s social activity in leisure time.

DEVELOPMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY OF STUDENT YOUTH AS ONE OF THE UNIVERSITY TASKS

The article presents analysis and characterization of definitions of responsibility in scientific research and responsibility defined as an important property of the personality. Author presented the pertinences between responsibility, freedom of choice, values and morality. The influence of such skills as reflection and empathy on the development of responsibility is getting determined. The author analyzed psychological – pedagogical features of student age, which include: the formation of self – identity and worldview, search for their place in life, the formation of the value core of the individual, recognition of their own involvement in socially positive changes. Student age is defined as a sensitive period for the development of responsibility. It is established that the social activity of student youth, involvement in solving social problems, contributes to the development of responsibility and recognition of their own importance in the implementation of socially positive transformations in the community. Service – Learning is interpreted as one of the approaches to the development of responsibility of student youth. Service-Learning is characterized as an effective way to involve student youth in active participation in community life by helping to solve problems relevant to it, which contributes to a sense of self-importance, and consequently, the development of responsibility. The results of scientific researches on the influence of Service – Learning on the development of responsibility of student youth are generalized.

Social activity of the student youth: factor and cluster analysis

The article presents a factor and cluster analysis of the social activity of student youth. The empirical basis of the study was the results of a survey of students in Novosibirsk. 1074 students from the largest universities of the city were interviewed. The use of factor analysis has made it possible to identify the orientation of the social activity of student youth, the motives that guide students in the manifestation of the social activity. Due to factor analysis students were distributed according to the directions of activity in the university such as focus on management, focus on organizing events, focus on participation in events, focus on sport activity, focus on research work. Through the cluster analysis four homogeneous groups of students were singled out, which are depend on the social activity. The identified orientations, motives, factors and types can be useful for developing techniques and technologies for involving young people in active social participation.

EXPLICATIONS OF THE TERM «SOCIAL ACTIVITY OF STUDENT YOUTH»: SOCIO-PEDAGOGICAL ASPECT

The relevance of the study of social activity of students is the presence of unsolved problems of stabilization and harmonization of the development of society and its members. Students concentrate the values of biological, psychophysical and intellectual potential. So the task of directing social development and social activity is assigned to them. Therefore, the socio-pedagogical study of the formation of social activity of students, is a priority for a positive transformation of civic activity. The aim of the article is to analyze the approaches to understanding the essence and content of the term of “social activity of student youth” and identifying its social and pedagogical aspect. To achieve this goal, the following methods were used: analysis to explicate the definition of the concepts “social activity”, “student youth”; generalization to establish a common and different between interpretations of the concept of social activity in various scientific fields; synthesis to substantiate the concept of social activity of students on the basis of the analyzed content components. As a result of the study, the term of social activity and student youth were analyzed and defined. Analysis of various approaches (philosophical, sociological, pedagogical, social and pedagogical) to understanding the term of social activity allowed us to identify common features for the further formation of the definition. The term of “social activity of students’ youth” is formed, which is understood as a special dynamic education, which is characterized by a specific set of psychophysical, age and intellectual abilities of a student (age limits, intellectual potential, mobility, reactionary, high emotionality, high level of motivation, possession of new communication channels) and aims to implement a positive transformation of life.
