Village development includes village funding, and the community takes the lead in developing and initiatives that advance village welfare are developed through cooperation with the community. Village development is an important instrument that must be used because it directly improves the welfare of the village community. Village communities are the focus of development, and each village is given the authority by the government to carry out its own development according to its capacity. Thus, the government supports the improvement of village development and empowerment. Village funds are used to provide or improve village public services, reduce poverty, advance the village economy, and reduce tandem between villages. This study uses a weighted summation approach of alternative rankings on all attributes, which is often known as the Simple Additive Weighting method. To determine which residents receive social assistance, the system can calculate the value of the multi-criterion preference index, preference value, outflow, inflow, and net flow for each alternative and sub-criterion.

The participants selection system for Al-Qur'an tahfidz competition using the Simple Additive Weighting method

The Hidayatullah Foundation is an Al-Qur'an-based school that has a tahfidz Al-Qur'an program that is taught every day to students. By holding the Tahfidz competition, it is hoped that it can provide motivation to students to increase their enthusiasm for memorizing the Al-Qur'an. However, so far the selection system that has been carried out by the school still uses manual methods by estimating students who are deemed capable without thorough calculations being carried out. So the selection of students is felt to be unfair and there is no opportunity for other students to take part in the competition. The application of the decision support system uses the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method with the results of the grades and ranking of the best students in the Tahfidz program which is carried out through a system calculation process with the first rank with alternative A10 getting a result of 0.996342132 named Alicia from class 3. The test results using the confusion matrix show the value accuracy of 96.9% which indicates a high level of accuracy. It was concluded that the SAW method could be used to select students to take part in competitions.

Web-Based Decision Support System for Budget Prediction Using the SAW Method for Tourism Recommendations

Tourism plays a crucial role in regional and national economies, with local tourism in Indonesia, particularly in Jombang Regency, East Java, offering substantial development potential. However, tourists often face difficulties in planning trips that align with their budgets due to inadequate integration of information on costs, trip duration, and participant numbers. This study develops a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) utilizing the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to enhance trip planning for tourism in Jombang. The DSS integrates data on budget, trip duration, and the number of participants to provide optimal recommendations based on user preferences and constraints. The SAW method facilitates a systematic and objective evaluation process for recommending tourist destinations. The research follows the ADDIE development model, encompassing Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. Key objectives include creating a system that consolidates cost, duration, and participant data, applying SAW for accurate recommendations, and ensuring an objective evaluation process. The system aims to improve trip planning efficiency, provide accurate recommendations, and enhance user satisfaction. The scope of this study is limited to applying the SAW method for budget prediction in tourism recommendations for Jombang. The developed system is a prototype that may require further refinement for comprehensive implementation.

Decision Making on The Organoleptic Quality of Salted Egg Products using Analytical Hierarchy Process and Simple Additive Weighting

Chicken and duck eggs are highly nutritious food products that are popular among the Indonesian community. However, their perishable nature leads to a decline in quality if not further processed. The salting process is a simple preservation method that can also enhance the flavor of salted egg products. To produce salted egg products with high organoleptic quality preference, a combination of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) is implemented as a quality decision-making method based on: (1) the experts viewpoints on the importance level of organoleptic criteria, and (2) the scores of organoleptic tests for the criteria of texture, taste, and appearance. In this study, chicken and duck eggs were processed into salted eggs using a salting mixture made of a blend of scouring ash and table salt with a mass ratio of 5:4 and 5:6, resulting in product combinations coded as CE-5/4, CE-5/6, DE-5/4, and DE-5/6. Data processing results on the importance level from the experts viewpoints using the AHP method resulted that the criteria for texture, taste, and aroma had final priority weights of 0.244, 0.617, and 0.139, respectively. Final decision-making using the SAW method indicated that the highest to lowest final preference scores were obtained by products CE-5/4, DE-5/4, DE-5/6, and CE-5/6, with the final preference scores of 0.979, 0.963, 0.931, and 0.906, respectively. The results demonstrated that AHP and SAW were successfully implemented to assist in making decisions regarding the quality of salted egg products based on their organoleptic characteristics. Penerapan Metode Simple Additive Weighting Pada Sistem Pemilihan Finalis Duta Kampus

The selection of campus ambassadors at Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis is one of the activities carried out annually. The selection of campus ambassadors aims to prepare the best students to become student representatives in internal and external campus activities. The campus ambassador assessment process is carried out in three stages, namely pre-quarantine, quarantine and grand final. A websitebased Decision Support System for campus ambassador finalist candidates is needed to help the committee and judges in the finalist selection process to be faster and more accurate. This system uses the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method which has weights on each criterion. The result of applying the SAW method to the system is to display rankings that can help in determining the campus ambassador finalist champion. From 31 field data, the application of the SAW method on this system has an accuracy of 96,6%. The software development method used is the Rational Unified Process (RUP).

Implementasi Metode SAW dan MABAC Pada Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Penerima Beasiswa Anak Tempatan

The Bengkalis Regency Education Office (Disdik) provides Local Children's Scholarships to students in an effort to help students to alleviate the dependents of the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) in pursuing education. In determining the recipient of the Tempatan Children's Scholarship, the Education Office government carries out several stages manually such as collecting all the files of students who register, after which the Education Office checks the completeness of the student files one by one, gives a value for each predetermined criterion and manually calculates the value of the criteria. A decision support system for recipients of web-based Local Children's Scholarships is needed to help determine recipients of Local Children's Scholarships to be faster and more accurate. This system is made using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method and Multi Attributive Border Approximation Area Comparison (MABAC) to facilitate the calculation and comparison of the value of each alternative in the system, by determining the ranking based on the largest value as the best alternative. The result of the application of the SAW and MABAC methods in the system is that the system displays alternative data sequentially based on rankings that can help in determining the recipient of the Local Children Scholarship. From 60 field data, the application of SAW and MABAC methods on this system has an accuracy of 83.3%. The development method used is the Extreme Programming method.

Implementation of the Simple Additive Weighting Method in Determining Favorite Lecturers Based on Student Preferences

This study aims to develop a decision support system for evaluating and ranking favorite lecturers based on student preferences in higher education institutions. In the context of modern education, the role of lecturers goes beyond delivering lectures; they also serve as mentors and inspirations for students. However, the process of evaluating lecturer performance is often subjective and lacks structure, especially when it involves student preferences and perceptions of lecturers. Therefore, this study proposes the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method as a solution to this problem. By collecting data through Likert scale-based questionnaires, this research evaluates lecturer performance based on four main aspects: Pedagogical, Professionalism, Personality, and Social Interaction. Based on the calculation results using SAW, it was found that the best alternative is Alternative A2, which scored the highest total with 0.997. This indicates that lecturers associated with this alternative received high ratings in all aspects assessed by students. This conclusion provides a clear insight for educational institutions to improve educational management and enrich student learning experiences.

A profound study of damage behavior for Al 2024-T3 alloy worksheet produced by constrained groove pressing in the superior practical condition

Constrained groove pressing (CGP) process is one of the most efficient and novel methods of severe plastic deformation to manufacture ultra-fine sheet metal. The present research work is related to the study of CGP process of 2024-T3 Aluminum alloy sheet. The empirical and numerical simulation of CGPed- specimens have been examined at both room and elevated temperatures. In order to simulate the constrained groove pressing process in Abaqus software, the Johnson–Cook material model has been employed. The geometrical variables of the CGP process include the teeth number, teeth angle, and sheet thickness, and the criterion for the superiority of the numerical test is the maximum reduction of two equivalent strain and equivalent force factors, simultaneously. To determine the weight’s coefficients of the target factors and select the superior test, the Shannon’s Entropy and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) methods have been used, respectively. After validating the numerical findings, the variation of damage parameter, stress triaxiality and the equivalent plastic strain distribution in the superior practical condition have been evaluated in detail. Based on the Entropy-SAW hybrid technique, the weight’s coefficients of equivalent strain and equivalent force target factors were computed to, in turn, 0.38 and 0.62. Also, the results revealed that the CGP process could not be performed at room temperature based on high damage evolution. But, at elevated temperature, the damage parameter (D) doesn't exceed 0.26. Also, the maximum stress triaxiality and equivalent plastic strain (PEEQ) at this process temperature reached to 0.5 and 0.1, respectively.

Evaluation of Determining the Best Product Promotion Media Decisions for MSMEs with ROC Ranking Technique and SAW Ranking Method

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) face challenges in determining effective promotional media to increase sales of their products. This research aims to evaluate and determine the best promotional media for MSMEs using the ROC (Rank Order Centroid) ranking technique and the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method. The criteria used include Advertising Costs, Target Market, Promotion Time, and Brand Image. Based on the calculation of criteria weights with the ROC technique and evaluation of alternatives with the SAW method, Social Media was found to be the best promotional media, followed by Search Engines and Product Collaboration. Social Media has advantages in low cost, wide target market reach, and promotional flexibility and effectiveness. Search Engines and Product Collaboration also showed good results in reaching the target market and promotional flexibility. In contrast, Print Media ranked the lowest due to limited reach and high costs. This research provides guidance for MSMEs in choosing the right promotional media and optimizing resources for maximum promotional results.

DETERMINATION OF CASSAVA WASTE PROCESSING ALTERNATIVES AT UMKM UD. SUMBER MUTIARA USING AHP AND SAW METHODS

Cassava is one of the raw materials that are widely cultivated to be used as various processed foods. Cassava raw materials have a strategic role in improving the economy in Sampang District. One of the businesses that process cassava raw materials is UD Sumber Mutiara. The large scale of production is one of the factors for uncontrolled production waste, causing various problems. This waste problem can be overcome by further processing the waste generated in each production. The purpose of this study is to determine the general description of the company, especially the waste generated in each production, determine the best alternative from several alternatives to be applied in processing cassava skin waste, and determine the process of processing cassava waste based on the selected alternative. The method used in analyzing is using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method as an advanced method. The results of this study are based on the calculation of the AHP method obtained the weight value of each criterion, namely the product criteria of 0.291, price criteria of 0.051, process criteria of 0.330, and engineering criteria of 0.328. The results of the calculation of the weight value are used in further calculations using the SAW method to obtain the best alternative rating value. The selected alternative is processed cassava skin chips with an alternative value of 0.836. The aspects that need to be considered in processing cassava waste consist of 4 aspects, namely, product quality, production costs, production time, and energy efficiency.

DETERMINATION OF MAINTENANCE PRIORITIES ON DISTRICT AND CITY ROADS IN LAMPUNG PROVINCE IN 2019 USING THE SIMPLE ADDITIVE WEIGHTING (SAW) METHOD

<p>Road infrastructure is a primary transportation asset extensively used by society to support economic, educational, and other activities. Consequently, roads function as a crucial supporter of the country's socio-economic activities. UU No. 38 of 2004 regarding Roads stipulates that roads are essential transportation facilities for the economy, social aspects, environment, politics, and defense and security. This research employs the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to collect secondary data. The secondary data is obtained from the Department of Communication, Informatics, and Statistics of Lampung Province and processed to generate an assessment of road segments based on preference values. The research results indicate that, based on the criteria weighting, heavily damaged road conditions have the highest importance weight at 58.6%, followed by the criterion of average daily traffic. These findings suggest that road experts share a similar perspective on how road criteria are prioritized for specific regions. The ranking results using the SAW method with a Likert scale indicate a value of 97.34.</p>

Aplikasi Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Menentukan Siswa Terbaik Menggunakan Metode SAW

The research conducted aims to develop a website-based decision support system application that can determine the best students using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) Method and developed with the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The SAW method was chosen for its simplicity and its ability to accommodate various assessment criteria, including academic grades, attendance, extracurricular participation, and student achievement. The RAD method was used in the development of the system to ensure a rapid development cycle and flexibility in adjusting user needs. The results show that the developed application is able to provide objective and transparent assessment, and simplify the process of determining the best students efficiently. The system also improves accessibility and accuracy in managing assessment data, reduces manual errors, and speeds up decision making. User testing and evaluation showed a high level of satisfaction, with recommendations for additional feature development in the future.

In human resource management, employee performance is one of the most important elements and must receive full attention from an organization. This is because employee performance is a determinant in achieving organizational goals efficiently and effectively. Therefore, every organization always strives to improve the performance of its employees in order to get the best employees according to the agency. This research develops a Decision Support System (SPK) for selecting the best employees using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method at the Education, Youth and Sports Office (Dikpora) of Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta. The purpose of the research is to create an efficient and objective system in employee evaluation and selection. The SAW method was chosen for its simplicity and effectiveness in handling multi-criteria decisions. Employee performance is assessed based on criteria such as attendance, skills, teamwork, and loyalty, with weights according to their level of importance. This system is built with web technology using PHP, MySQL, and CodeIgniter framework. The results of this system can be accessed easily by users, providing transparency in the assessment process. Based on the results of the calculation, the employee with alternative A1 and obtained a score of 0.925% on behalf of (Albertus Dedi Susilo) became the first rank of the best employee.

Implementation of Decision Support System for New Employee Selection at PT Triotech Solution Indonesia using SAW Method

The new employee selection process is one of the important activities in human resource management at PT Triotech Solution Indonesia. The selection of the right candidate determines the quality and performance of the company in the future. This research aims to develop and implement a Decision Support System (SPK) that can assist in the selection process of new employees using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The SAW method was chosen because it is able to integrate various assessment criteria by giving appropriate weights to each criterion, resulting in a final ranking of candidates that best suits the company's needs. The system is built by collecting candidate data, which includes criteria such as education, work experience, technical skills, and soft skills. The weight for each criterion is determined based on the priorities set by the company management. After that, the SAW method is applied to calculate the total score of each candidate, which is then used to determine the priority order of the best candidates.

Effect of psyllium powder on the organoleptic properties of gluten‐free bread roll: application Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method

SummaryDue to their gluten‐free dietary needs, celiac patients cannot find bread with the required texture characteristics. The aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of psyllium powder in the production of rice‐based, gluten‐free bread rolls. In this case, five different bread rolls were produced by adding different proportions (0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%) of psyllium powder combinations to bread dough made with rice flour. Moisture and ash content, colour values, volume, symmetry and uniformity indices, textural properties and sensory properties were taken into consideration. It was observed that the addition of psyllium powder gave the bread rolls a spongy structure and decreased the hardness values. As the amount of psyllium powder in the dough formulation increased, darkening in colour and increase in moisture values were observed. In addition, the bread sample psyllium powder and rice flour ratios (1:1) had the largest volume index value (98.67 mm), while the same product received the highest score in SAW techniques.

Evaluation of large-scale deforestation susceptibility mapping in the mountainous region of the Himalayas: A case study of the Khangchendzonga Biosphere Reserve, India

The Khangchendzonga Biosphere Reserve (KBR) is located in the Eastern Himalayas and serves as a critical habitat for endemic species of flora and fauna, as well as playing a key role in carbon sequestration. The primary aim of this study was to map large-scale deforestation susceptibility zones in the mountainous region of KBR. The study area was divided into three zones: (a) Transition Zone, (b) Core Zone, and (c) Buffer Zone. This study utilized multiple remote sensing datasets acquired through the Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform, including precipitation, temperature, elevation, forest density, distance from rivers, NDVI, NDSI, distance from settlements, settlement density, distance from roads, and land use and land cover data. Additionally, the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) methods were employed to map deforestation susceptibility. To validate the proposed deforestation susceptibility, Hansen Global Forest Change (HGFC) data from 2001 to 2022 were used. Moreover, deforestation susceptibility was evaluated using the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve and the Area Under the Curve (AUC) metrics. Notably, our findings revealed significant declines in tree cover of 1.60%, 1.27%, and 0.89% in the Transition, Core, and Buffer Zones, respectively, during critical years (2009, 2011, 2019, 2020). These periods witnessed substantial deforestation, indicating a deteriorating condition of the reserve's forest cover. Although there were minor discrepancies in the results of the two methods, both highlighted the particular vulnerability of the transition zones in the eastern and southern regions of KBR. The comprehensive methodology employed in this research establishes an advanced spatial data infrastructure that is indispensable for immediate conservation planning and adaptive management strategies. The insights gleaned from this investigation hold substantial promise for guiding future restoration and conservation efforts aimed at enriching biodiversity and fortifying ecosystem services in this critical area.

This research aims to design and implement a decision support system (SPK) in the employee admission process at CV. Sumber Solusi Bersana using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) algorithm. CV. Sumber Solusi Bersama faces the challenge of selecting the best candidates from several qualified applicants based on various criteria, such as education, work experience, skills, and interviews. The SAW method was chosen because of its ability to provide an objective and measurable assessment based on the weight given to each criterion. This study uses a quantitative approach by collecting qualitative data from the recruitment process in CV. Furthermore, calculations are carried out using the SAW algorithm to determine the total score of each applicant.

The existence of boarding houses around public facilities is very desirable and beneficial for students who come from outside the area to study at university. However, the many choices of boarding houses with different prices, facilities and distances make students confused when choosing a temporary place to live. To overcome this problem, the web-based Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method is used in a decision support system. This system provides recommendations or suggestions for boarding houses that match the criteria entered by the user. The user will input criteria and alternatives into the system, then the system will carry out a calculation process to provide a list of recommended boarding places. The research results show that this system can help prospective boarding house renters in choosing recommended alternative boarding places based on criteria and user input using the SAW method. With this system, students can more easily find temporary housing that suits their needs.

The Regional Leadership Council of the Grinding Party experienced difficulties during the general election in 2019 where legislative candidates could not meet the party's target of 2 seats. So that in 2024 before the general election a decision support system-based legislative candidate selection system was created so that for future plans the party will use this system so it is necessary to start building the system. The purpose of this research is to be able to determine prospective candidates to become legislative candidates. This type of research is quantitative in criteria data collection techniques can also be through observation, interviews and literature studies, with an application development model using a prototype model. The prototype model with the stages of collecting data and case examples, designing prototypes, building prototypes, testing programmes, implementing and maintaining programmes. The research subject is legislative candidates and the object is the Gerinda party which conducts the selection of legislative candidates. Application design assisted by Unified Modelling Language (UML) modelling techniques can provide the best system design, then the calculation results will be ranked to get the optimal alternative. Then the data analysis technique uses the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method.
