Effects of Treatment with Probiotics on Cognitive Function and Regulatory Role of Cortisol and IL-1β in Adolescent Patients with Major Depressive Disorder.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of probiotics on cognitive function and the regulation of cortisol and IL-1β in adolescents with depression. All 180 participants were randomly assigned to a study group (treated with probiotics combined with sertraline hydrochloride) and a control group (treated with sertraline hydrochloride). The repetitive Neuropsychological State Test (RBANS) and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) were administered to MDD patients. The levels of serum cortisol and IL-1β were detected using an ELISA kit. Except for speech function, factors including immediate memory, visual span, attention function, delayed memory, and the RBANS in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group. The levels of cortisol and interleukin-1β in the study group were significantly downregulated compared to those in the control group. Except for speech function, the cortisol level was negatively correlated with the RBANS total score and other factors in the study group. Interleukin-1β was also negatively correlated with the RBANS total score and each factor score. Cortisol and interleukin-1β were predictors of the RBANS total score, which explained 46.80% of the variance. Cortisol had significant predictive effects on attention function and delayed memory, and interleukin-1β had significant predictive effects on visual span and speech function. It could be concluded that probiotics could improve cognitive function in adolescents with depression by regulating cortisol and IL-1β levels.

Mental health problems and help-seeking behaviours of Syrian refugee adolescents: mediating role of self-stigma.

Although common mental health problems have been widely studied with self-stigma, few studies have focused on the mediating effect of self-stigma in the relationship between mental health problems and help-seeking behaviours of refugee adolescents. Therefore, the purpose of the present study was to examine whether self-stigma mitigates the adverse effects of stress, anxiety, and depression symptoms on the help-seeking behaviours of Syrian adolescents living in Turkey. The participants of this study included 488 Syrian refugee adolescents (boys, 63.73%; girls, 3627%) living in Turkey. Participants completed the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale and General Help-Seeking Scale and Self-Stigma of Seeking Psychology Help Scale. The findings revealed that stress (β = 0.19, p < 0.01), anxiety (β = 0.12, p < 0.05), and depression (β = 0.17, p < 0.01) had significant and positive predictive effects on self-stigma, but not on help-seeking behaviours. Also, self-stigma (β = -0.12, p < 0.01) had a significant negative predictive effect on help-seeking behaviours. With regard to the indirect effects, the findings showed that self-stigma fully mediated the associations between stress - help-seeking [effect = -0.05, 95% confidence interval (CI) -0.11 to -0.01], anxiety - help-seeking (effect = -0.04, 95% CI -0.09 to -0.01)], and depression - help-seeking (effect = -0.05, 95% CI -0.12 to -0.01). Our findings highlight the potential negative effects of self-stigma on the help-seeking behaviours of Syrian refugee adolescents, both directly and indirectly. These results can be used to develop and implement effective and efficient interventions to address the unmet mental health needs of refugee adolescents.

Aggressive behaviors predict greater intraindividual reaction time variability in children: Evidence from cross-lagged panel models.

Deficits in attentional control or inhibitory control are distinct features of childhood aggressive behaviors. Lower attentional control or inhibitory control is considered to predict more aggressive behaviors, while few studies have documented the possible predictive effects of aggressive behaviors on attentional control or inhibitory control. The present study examined the bidirectional relations between aggressive behaviors and both inhibitory control and attentional control in 169 Chinese primary school children (75 girls, Mage = 7.15, SDage = 0.33), annually for 3years starting at age 7. The No-go accuracy on a Go/No-go task was used as the index of inhibitory control, and the intraindividual reaction time variability (IIRTV) of correct Go trials indicated attentional control. The aggressive behaviors subscale of the child behavior checklist-Chinese versionwas used to assess the children's aggressive behaviors. The results demonstrated a significant and stable predictive effect of previous aggressive behaviors on subsequent attentional control, with more aggressive behaviors predicting greater IIRTV at both the between-child and within-child levels. No significant effects of inhibitory control or attentional control on aggressive behaviors or sex-specific patterns were found. The findings suggest the negative impact of childhood aggressive behaviors on attentional control and underscore the importance of early prevention and intervention for childhood aggressive behaviors.

The influence of insecure attachment on undergraduates' jealousy: the mediating effect of self-differentiation.

Jealousy is a complex emotion and can be healthy or pathological, depending on the intensity and the degree of control. Excessive jealousy was characterized by anxiety, anger, and alienation in the insecure attachment relationship. To explore how insecure attachment triggered this intense emotion, this study investigated the relationship between two insecure attachment dimensions and jealousy and explored the influence of self-differentiation on the relationship. A total of 477 undergraduates participated in the study, and the Bringle self-report jealousy scale (BSJS), the relationship questionnaire (RQ), the intimate relationship experience questionnaire (ECR), and the revised edition of self-the differentiation questionnaire (DSR) were used. The results showed that: (1) attachment anxiety had a significant positive predictive effect on jealousy, but attachment avoidance had no significant positive predictive effect; (2) self-differentiation partially mediated the relationship between attachment anxiety and jealousy, but it has no significant mediating effect between attachment avoidance and jealousy. The results suggest that attachment anxiety was correlated with jealousy because it strengthened the intensity of anxiety and anger toward their attachment figures and became out of control through a lower level of self-differentiation, which has important implications for clinical intervention.

Anxiety in adults with asthma during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic: a Canadian perspective

BackgroundAsthma is a chronic airway inflammatory disease that affects millions of Canadians and often contributes to higher levels of anxiety among patients. Since the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic was a time of increased anxiety and fear among the Canadian population, it was thought that those with asthma may experience heightened anxiety levels due to uncertain access to care, the potential to misinterpret asthma symptoms for symptoms of COVID-19 (or vice versa), and the concern about being treated differently by those around them when experiencing asthma symptoms. Therefore, this study sought to perform a cross-sectional analysis of the asthma-anxiety relationship in adults with and without asthma in the unique context of the COVID-19 pandemic from a Canadian perspective.MethodsThis study employed the COVID-19 Associated Anxiety in Allergic Rhinitis and Asthma patients Experiencing Symptoms (CAAARES) survey, consisting of COVID-19-specific questions, the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Assessment-7 (GAD-7) and the Asthma Control Questionnaire-6 (ACQ-6). Data collection occurred through the Qualtrics XM platform and data analyses were conducted with the IBM SPSS Statistics 28 software.ResultsA total of 741 valid responses were collected (asthma group, n = 244; control group, n = 497). 31.6% and 26.2% of respondents in the asthma and control groups, respectively, met the diagnostic criteria for GAD. There was no significant difference (p = .067) in mean GAD-7 scores between the two groups. A Hierarchal Multiple Regression (HMR) model was developed, and neither asthma status nor ACQ-6 score had a significant predictive effect on the GAD-7 score. There was a statistically significant (p < .001) weak positive correlation (r = .22) between GAD-7 and ACQ-6 scores. In a simple mediation (SMM) model, perceived COVID-19 stress of others was not identified as a significant mediator of the relationship between ACQ-6 and GAD-7 (indirect effect β = 0.014).ConclusionOur study of a Canadian cohort demonstrates elevated levels of anxiety overall, amongst both asthma and control groups. While AR status was significantly greater in the asthma group, it was not a significant predictive variable of GAD-7 score. Our data suggests that COVID-19-specific factors appear to have a greater contribution to anxiety than asthma status or control.

Life satisfaction trajectories among junior high school students in China: The role of parent–child communication

AbstractA 3‐year follow‐up test (from grades 7 to 9) was administered to 807 junior high school students from two regions in Hunan Province, China, using multilevel analysis to examine trends in junior high school students' life satisfaction, differences by gender and location of life and the effects of father–child/mother–child communication on the development of life satisfaction. The results showed that (1) Chinese junior high school students' life satisfaction showed a decreasing trend from the seventh grade to the ninth grade, and there was a significant decreasing process in the eighth grade; (2) father–child communication and mother–child communication had a significant positive predictive effect on Chinese junior high school students' life satisfaction and (3) father–child communication and mother–child communication had a significant negative predictive effect on the decreasing trend of life satisfaction, in which the effect of mother–child communication was particularly significant.

Chinese Personality Traits and Mental Health: A Meta-Analysis.

This meta-analysis aimed to synthesize the evidence on the relationship between Chinese personality traits and mental health. Through literature search and screening, a total of 70 original articles and 72 independent samples with a total of 65,133 participants were included. The results showed that: (1) Chinese mental health was significantly correlated with three dimensions of personality: psychoticism, neuroticism, and extraversion (correlation coefficients were 0.234, 0.438, and -0.101, respectively); (2) each factor of mental health was significantly positively correlated with psychoticism and neuroticism; only the factor of interpersonal sensitivity was significantly negatively correlated with extraversion; (3) subject type has a significant moderating effect on the relationship between mental health and neuroticism and extraversion, but has no significant moderating effect on the relationship between mental health and psychoticism; (4) publication type does not play a moderating role in the relationship between mental health and the three personality dimensions. This meta-analysis confirmed that personality traits have a significant predictive effect on mental health in Chinese people. However, the relationship between personality and mental health varied considerably across dimensions and groups.

The Relationship Between Chinese EFL Learners’ Foreign Language Writing Enjoyment and Writing Vocabulary Strategy

As an important aspect of second language learning, vocabulary has traditionally been the focus of foreign language writing instruction. However, since the introduction of positive psychology into the field of second language acquisition, research on learners’ writing vocabulary strategies from this perspective has not been abundant. The purpose of the present study is to explore the relationship between high school students’ foreign language writing enjoyment and writing vocabulary strategy. The results show that there is a significant positive relationship between senior high school students’ foreign language writing enjoyment and their writing vocabulary strategy, and that two factors: teacher appreciation and personal enjoyment have significant predictive effects on their writing vocabulary strategy. This suggests that positive emotions of both teachers and learners themselves can help to improve learners’ vocabulary application.

The Unique Role of Peer Support: Exploring the Effects of Various Sources of Social Support on the Mental Health of Unaccompanied Children in China under Residential Education.

This study investigates the impact of various sources of social support on the mental health of unaccompanied children under residential education in China. Unaccompanied children refer to those whose parents are still alive but unable to raise them due to various reasons. The study utilized self-reported questionnaires administered at two time waves, with the first wave (T1) evaluating family support, teacher support, and peer support, and the second wave (T2) evaluating depression, subjective well-being, and resilience. A total of 202 participants completed both surveys. To examine the predictive effect of different sources of social support on the mental health of these children, the study used the structural equation model with depression and subjective well-being as indicators. The results show that neither family support nor teacher support (T1) had a significant effect on the mental health (T2) of the children. However, peer support (T1) had a significant positive predictive effect on mental health (T2), indicating the unique role of peer support in promoting the mental health of unaccompanied children. The study also explored the mediating role of resilience between social support and well-being, revealing that though the direct effect of teacher support (T1) on mental health (T2) was not significant, the indirect mediating effect of resilience on the relationship between teacher support and mental health was significant. Both the direct and indirect effect of family support (T1) on mental health (T2) were not significant. These findings highlight the importance of creating a positive peer environment for unaccompanied children to promote their mental health. This study has important practical implications for the development of effective intervention programs aimed at improving the mental health of this population.

Parental involvement and Chinese children's learning engagement: Promotion and arousal

This study used three-wave data to construct random intercept cross-lagged model to test the bidirectional relationship between parental involvement and learning engagement among Chinese primary school children and the different effects of paternal/maternal involvement. A total of 1037 Chinese primary school students participated in the survey over three-time points (six months apart for each data collection). Results indicated that at the between-person level, children's learning engagement was positively related to both paternal and maternal involvement. At the within-person level, paternal involvement can positively predict children's learning and vice versa; maternal involvement has no significant predictive effect on children's learning engagement nor it was influence by children's learning. The results showed that different parental involvement has different effects on children's learning at the within-person level, revealed that fathers play a more important role in contributing to children's learning.

Breast cancer prediction model based on clinical and biochemical characteristics: clinical data from patients with benign and malignant breast tumors from a single center in South China.

Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer and is second leading cause of death from malignancy among women worldwide. In addition to tumor factors, the host characteristics of tumors have been paid more and more attention by the medical community. This study aimed to develop a breast cancer prediction model for the Chinese population using clinical and biochemical characteristics. This is a retrospective study. From 2012 to 2021, we selected 19,751 patients with breast diseases from the Guangdong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which included 5660 patients with breast cancer and 14,091 patients with benign breast diseases-75% of patients were randomly assigned to the training group and 25% to the test group using a total of 34 clinical and biochemical characteristics. Significant clinical signs were investigated, and logistic regression with recursive feature elimination (RFE) model was used to develop a prediction model for distinguishing benign from malignant breast diseases. The prediction model's accuracy, precision, sensitivity, specificity, and area under the ROC curve (AUC) were calculated. Clinical statistics demonstrated that the prediction model comprised 19 clinical characteristics had statistical separability in both the training group and the test group, as well as good sensitivity and prediction. This model based on biochemical parameters demonstrates a significant predictive effect for breast cancer and may be useful as a reference for invasive tissue biopsy in patients undergoing BI-RADS 3 and 4A breast imaging.

Self-compassion and suicide risk: a moderated mediation model and evidence from Chinese universities.

Suicide is a major social and public health problem in the world. It is important to identify protective and risk factors for suicide. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between self-compassion and suicide risk. 1143 college students were surveyed by using Chinese Self-Compassion Scale (CSCS), Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21 Chinese Version (DASS-21), Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), and Suicidal Behaviors Questionnaire-Revised (SBQ-R). Negative self-compassion had a significant positive predictive effect on college students' suicide risk; in the model of negative self-compassion affecting suicide risk, negative emotions played a mediating role and the mediating role was moderated by resilience. Specifically, compared with low resilience, students with high resilience have a weaker ability to predict suicide risk by negative emotions. Negative self-compassion is a risk factor for suicide risk, reducing negative self-compassion (self-judgment, isolation, and over-identification) and enhancing resilience has a guiding effect on suicide prevention and intervention.

Co-Occurrence, Predictors, and Related Aggressive Behaviors of Cognitive and Emotional Relative Deprivation Based on Latent Class Analysis.

Given the frequent occurrence of relative deprivation among adolescents and its negative effects, this study investigated relative deprivation among adolescents using a person-centered statistical technique (n = 1196; 565 girls). Latent class analysis identified three groups: low cognitive and emotional relative deprivation (Class 1, 33.78% of adolescents), high cognitive and low emotional relative deprivation (Class 2, 37.79% of adolescents), and high cognitive and emotional relative deprivation (Class 3, 28.43% of adolescents). Adolescents with low income and without parental accompaniment were more likely to be assigned to Classes 3 and 2. Compared with Class 1, Classes 3 and 2 had significant positive predictive effects on physical aggression, relational aggression, and overall aggressive behavior. The classes of relative deprivation influenced both physical and relational aggression, but not verbal aggression. Based on these findings, demographic characteristics and latent classes of relative deprivation should be considered together when developing interventions for aggressive behaviors.

Multidisciplinary Cognitive Function Assessment of Good versus Poor Performance in Children with Cochlear Implants: An Observational Cross-Sectional Study.

Introduction Despite the developing technology of cochlear implants (CIs), implanted prelingual hearing-impaired children exhibit variable speech processing outcomes. When these children match in personal and implant-related criteria, the CI outcome variability could be related to higher-order cognitive impairment. Objectives To evaluate different domains of cognitive function in good versus poor CI performers using a multidisciplinary approach and to find the relationship between these functions and different levels of speech processing. Methods This observational, cross-sectional study used the word recognition score (WRS) test to categorize 40 children with CIs into 20 good (WRS/65%) and 20 poor performers (WRS < 65%). All participants were examined for speech processing at different levels (auditory processing and spoken language) and cognitive functioning using (1) verbal tests (verbal component of Stanford-Binet intelligence [SBIS], auditory memory, auditory vigilance, and P300); and (2) performance tasks (performance components of SBIS, and trail making test). Results The outcomes of speech processing at different functional levels and both domains of cognitive function were analyzed and correlated. Speech processing was impaired significantly in poor CI performers. This group also showed a significant cognitive function deficit, in which the verbal abilities were more affected (in 93.5%) than in the good performers (in 69.5%). Moreover, cognitive function revealed a significant correlation and predictive effect on the CI speech outcomes. Conclusion Cognitive function impairment represented an important factor that underlies the variable speech proficiency in cochlear-implanted children. A multidisciplinary evaluation of cognitive function would provide a comprehensive overview to improve training strategies.

The Relationship Between Social Media Use and Negative Emotions Among Chinese Medical College Students: The Mediating Role of Fear of Missing Out and the Moderating Role of Resilience.

This study aimed to examine the mediating role of fear of missing out (FoMO) and the moderating role of resilience in the association between social media use and negative emotions among medical college students in China during the COVID-19 pandemic. A cross-sectional study design was conducted, medical college students from Qiqihar Medical University, China participated in the study. A total of 470 medical college students were recruited voluntarily to complete questionnaires on social media use, FoMO, resilience, and negative emotions. Social media use was positively associated with FoMO and negative emotions among medical students (p < 0.01). The total effect of social media use on negative emotions was significant (β = 1.101, SE = 0.079, p < 0.001). Social media use had no significant direct effect on negative emotions (β = 0.168, SE = 0.096, p > 0.05), but it had an indirect effect on negative emotions via mediation of FoMO (β = 0.933, SE = 0.106, 95% CI: 0.731 to 1.149). Moreover, resilience had a significant moderating effect on the relationship between FoMO and negative emotions (β = -0.021, SE = 0.005, 95% CI: -0.032 to -0.012). FoMO had a significant positive predictive effect on negative emotions at both levels of resilience (low resilience individuals: β = 1.079, SE = 0.076, p < 0.001; high resilience individuals: β = 0.212, SE = 0.094, p < 0.05). Social media use and FoMO may be risk factors for increased negative emotions, and resilience should be considered in prevention and intervention strategies designed to mitigate negative emotions among medical college students.

The Influence of Family Socioeconomic Status, Cultural Capital and Extra Curricular Study on Students’ Academic Achievement

Studying the relationship and interactive mechanism between family socio-economic factors, family cultural resources, extracurricular tutoring, and students’ academic performance can provide theoretical support and direction guidance for optimizing the allocation of educational resources and promoting the improvement of students’ learning quality. This study used PISA China (2015) data to select a sample of 9,841 students from 268 schools covering dozens of districts and counties, and explored the impact of family socio-economic factors, family cultural capital, and extracurricular tutoring factors on students’ academic achievement through a three-layer linear regression model. The study found that when only demography variables were included, it had no significant effect on predicting students’ academic achievements. When adding family socioeconomic group variables, family socioeconomic factors have a significant positive predictive effect on students’ academic performance, with family wealth contributing the most; After adding cultural resource group variables, the explanatory power of the model increased by 40.2%, indicating that cultural resource factors have a significant positive effect on students’ academic performance. Increasing cultural resource investment can have a positive effect on improving students’ academic achievement.

Effect of Intolerance of Uncertainty on Fear of Childbirth in Primiparas : A Moderated Mediating Model

To explore the mediating effect of childbirth self-efficacy on the impact pathway of intolerance of uncertainty on the fear of childbirth in primiparas in the second and third trimesters and the potential moderating effect of perceived partner responsiveness. A total of 429 primiparas in their second and third trimesters completed the survey, which included general information questionnaire, Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale, Childbirth Self-Efficacy Inventory, Perceived Partner Responsiveness Scale, and Childbirth Attitudes Questionnaire. Rank sum test was used to compare the scores for the fear of childbirth among different groups and Spearman's correlation was used to analyze the scores for all the scales. In addition, the data were centrally processed by using PROCESS V3.4.1 Model 4 (a simple mediation model), Model 5 (the direct path of the mediation model was regulated), and non-parametric Bootstrap method to test the mediation effect and moderation effect. The study showed that 54.31% of the participants experienced fear of childbirth. Their scores for intolerance of uncertainty, childbirth self-efficacy, and perceived partner responsiveness were 15.00 (8.00), 240.00 (75.00), and 72.00 (19.00), respectively. There were significant differences in the scores for the fear of childbirth scale among pregnant women of different age groups, gestational weeks, employment statuses, and average per capita monthly income of the family ( P<0.05). According to our findings, intolerance of uncertainty directly and positively impacted on fear of childbirth ( β=0.76, P<0.001), with childbirth self-efficacy playing partial mediation role between them, its indirect effect being 0.05 and the contribution rate being 6.17%. In addition, after the scores of Perceived Partner Responsiveness Scale were added to the model, perceived partner responsiveness had no significant predictive effect for fear of childbirth, but the product term of the scores for Perceived Partner Responsiveness Scale and Intolerability Uncertainty Scale had significant predictive effect for fear of childbirth ( β=0.01, P<0.05), which suggested that perceived partner responsiveness also played a moderating role between intolerance of uncertainty and fear of childbirth. Health care providers can help primiparas reduce fear of childbirth and improve their childbirth experience by reducing perceived intolerance of uncertainty, improving family support, and teaching coping strategies.

ESTIMATION OF THE PREDICTIVE EFFECT OF BODY MASS INDEX-PERCENTILE ON SKELETAL MATURATION IN A NIGERIAN POPULATION.

Objectives: To determine the predicting the effect of BMI-index percentile on the skeletal maturation of Nigerian children. &#x0D; Design: A prospective cross-sectional study.&#x0D; Setting: This study was conducted in a tertiary health care facility in North-Central Nigeria.&#x0D; Participants: Children between the ages of 5-17 years consisting of 44 males and 30 females that presented in the Child Dental clinic over a period of eight months were recruited for the study.&#x0D; Main outcome measured: Skeletal maturation was assessed using the middle phalanx of the third finger (MP3) while the standard WHO growth chart specific for age (2-20 years) and gender was used for grading BMI-percentile. The unpaired t-test was used to compare mean chronological age of the stages of MP3 according to gender. Multinomial logistic regression used to determine the predictive effect of age, gender and BMI percentile on pubertal growth spurt.&#x0D; Results: The BMI-percentile had weak correlation with the pubertal growth spurt (r=0.089, p=0.448). Gender (p=0.004) and chronological age had significant (p&lt;0.001) predictive effect on the skeletal maturation. A one-percentile increase in the BMI-percentile decreases the likelihood of healthy children to be in the peak-pubertal by 1.504 when compared to obese children (p=0.305). &#x0D; Conclusions: This study showed that BMI-percentile is a weak predictor of skeletal maturation. However, obese children had a tendency towards advanced skeletal maturation than healthy participants. It is therefore suggested that orthodontists should consider early implementation of jaw modification treatments among obese children.

1099-P: Plasma Amino Acid Profiles in Childhood Predict 10-Year Risk of Insulin Resistance in Adulthood—The BCAMS Study

Objective Insulin resistance (IR) is the critical step in the development of type 2 diabetes. Recent cross-sectional studies in children demonstrate plasma amino acids such as branched-chain and aromatic amino acids are associated with IR, however, information is scant regarding whether these associations in childhood persist over time and predict diabetes risk in young adults. We aimed to examine whether circulating amino acids in childhood predict 10-year risk of IR in early adulthood. Research design and Methods: This was a 10-year longitudinal study from childhood to early adulthood. A total of 961 subjects aged 6-18 years at baseline participated in the Beijing Child and Adolescent Metabolic Syndrome study (BCAMS). Serum insulin was determined by in-house ELISA with no cross-reaction with proinsulin, and plasma amino acids were profiled using targeted LC-MS/MS. IR was determined by the homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR). Results: At baseline, after adjusting for age, gender, tanner stage, diet score, exercise, residence and BMI, 17 amino acids were closely correlated with HOMA-IR and nine with impaired fasting glucose (IFG) in childhood (p &amp;lt; 0.05 for all). Among them, Isoleucine showed the strongest association with IR (OR=2.04, 95% CI 1.65-2.54, P&amp;lt;0.001), and alanine was the strongest predictor of IFG (OR =1.52, 95%CI 1.22-1.91, P&amp;lt;0.001). Prospectively, after adjusting for the covariates at baseline, four amino acids have a significant predictive effect on the risk of IR at 10-years follow-up, of which alanine was the strongest predictor [OR=1.38, 95% CI (1.02, 1.85), P=0.035]. Conclusion: Our findings suggest the changes in amino acid metabolism not only link IR in childhood, but also persist into adulthood and may heighten type 2 diabetes risk later in life. How Does College Students’ Entrepreneurial Learning Influence Entrepreneurial Intention: Evidence from China

In implementing an innovation-driven development strategy, it is important to promote the sustainable development capacity of the new generation. Entrepreneurial learning can enhance college students’ skills and entrepreneurial competence in facing the uncertain challenges of the future. In order to clarify the mechanism by which entrepreneurial learning influences college students’ entrepreneurial intention, a mediating moderation model was constructed, based on the theory of planned behavior, to explore the mediating role of entrepreneurial attitude, entrepreneurial self-efficacy, and perceived behavioral control. Furthermore, the moderating effect of important peers and teachers’ support on campus was combined, initially to assess the entrepreneurial intention of college students. This study adopted a quantitative research approach with a questionnaire survey, taking 704 college students in the Yangtze River Delta region as subjects. The research results showed that entrepreneurial learning has a significant positive predictive effect on the entrepreneurial intention of college students; entrepreneurial attitude and perceived behavioral control play a mediating role between the entrepreneurial learning and entrepreneurial intention of college students; and important peers and teachers’ support on campus can adjust the impact of entrepreneurial learning on entrepreneurial intention. The proposed framework provides a more concrete understanding of entrepreneurial intention. The results also provide policy and managerial insights into promoting entrepreneurial intention within higher education.
