Objective To observe the effect of Shenqifuzheng injection on immune and hematopoietic function in patients with breast cancer during chemotherapy. Methods A retrospective study was performed on 98 cases of breast cancer who were admitted from August 2014 to August 2016.Patients who received postoperative CEF chemotherapy(cyclophosphamide, pharmorubicin, fluorouracil)were divided into two the observation group(n=50)and the control group(n=48). Patients in the control group were treated with CEF, patients in the observation group were added with Shenqifuzheng injection on the basis of the control group. The changes of peripheral blood cells and T cell subsets between the two groups before and after chemotherapy were compared. Results The white blood cell, hemoglobin and platelet in the observation group before and after chemotherapy were slightly reduced, and the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05), the white blood cells, hemoglobin and platelet in the control group reduced significantly after chemotherapy, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05); CD4, CD8 and CD4/CD8 in the observation group and the control group were obviously changed before and after chemotherapy, data in the observation group was significantly increased, while in the control group was significantly reduced(all P<0.05). Conclusion Chemotherapy combined with Shenqifuzheng injection can improve immune function and reduce bone marrow suppression in patients with breast cancer.
