This article takes the experimental teaching of food biochemistry as an example to explore the practical research of cultivating applied talents in universities. Through the analysis and evaluation of traditional experimental teaching, a series of reform measures have been proposed, including optimizing experimental content, diversifying experimental teaching methods, and establishing a comprehensive evaluation system. Through practical research, we have found that these reform measures can effectively improve students' practical and innovative abilities, promote the improvement of students' comprehensive quality, and provide useful reference and reference for the cultivation of applied talents in universities.

The Status Quo and Reform Thinking of the Talent Training Mode of Biology Teachers in Middle School

It has always been one of the hot spots of the whole society to improve teachers’ quality and ability. With the progress of the era and the rapid development of biology, it puts forward higher requirements for the cultivation of biology teachers of middle school. How to cultivate a large number of high-quality biology teachers of middle school with good ethics and outstanding abilities is a focus problem worth exploring. There are some problems in the traditional training mode of biology normal students, such as backward teaching idea, unreasonable teaching arrangement and uneven teaching level. In view of these problems, normal universities should take a series of reform measures to promote the professional development of middle school biology teachers. Therefore, this paper summarizes the reform necessity, current situation and existing problems of the talent training mode. It also puts forward a series of reform measures on the talent training mode in the aspects of learning, innovation and reflection. Thus, this paper will provide important reference for the reform of talent training mode of middle school biology teachers in the future.

A preliminary study on the reform of clinical skill curriculum based on the phased examination of TCM medical practitioners qualification

The 2013 National Practitioners Qualification Examination Work Conference proposed to reform the traditional one-stop test into two stage. In May 2017, Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine participated in this empirical study as a pilot for the first time. This paper made a preliminary summary and analysis of the results of the phased examination. Because of the absence and deficiency of clinical skills of students in our school, we carried out a series of reform measures for clinical skill courses: enhancing teaching facilities, enriching teaching contents and methods, reforming assessment mode and strengthening the monitoring of the teaching quality of clinical skills. According to the students, reform measures are conducive to consolidating theoretical knowledge and improving clinical skills, laying a good foundation for successfully passing the national examination of medical practitioners and becoming a qualified medical talent. The Study on Case-Driven Methodology to Teach Software Engineering in Graduate Education

This paper discusses the reform of teaching contents, teaching model, teaching method of software engineering courses, and assesses the effects of a series of reform measures and programs. It formed a case-driven methodology to teach software engineering. The teaching practice undertaken by Northeast Petroleum University has shown that the methodology provides graduate students with the opportunities to experience the realistic software engineering problems and environments, and then effectively raise their interest in learning.

Spatiotemporal Variability of Carbon Flux from Different Land Use and Land Cover Changes: A Case Study in Hubei Province, China

Carbon sources and sinks as a result of land use and land cover changes (LUCC) are significant for global climate change. This paper aims to identify and analyze the temporal and spatial changes of land use-based carbon emission in the Hubei Province in China. We use a carbon emission coefficient to calculate carbon emissions in different land use patterns in Hubei Province from 1998 to 2009. The results indicate that regional land use is facing tremendous pressure from rapid carbon emission growth. Source:sink ratios and average carbon emission intensity values of urban land are increasing, while slow-growing carbon sinks fail to offset the rapidly expanding carbon sources. Overall, urban land carbon emissions have a strong correlation with the total carbon emissions, and will continue to increase in the future mainly due to the surge of industrialization and urbanization. Furthermore, carbon emission in regions with more developed industrial structures is much higher than in regions with less advanced industrial structures. Lastly, carbon emission per unit of GDP has declined since 2004, indicating that a series of reform measures i.e., economic growth mode transformation and land-use structure optimization, has initiated the process of carbon emission reduction.
