Analysis of Junior High School Social Studies Teachers' Strategies in Facing the Demands of the Society 5.0 Curriculum Era (A Study in the City of Banda Aceh)

This research aims to describe the implementation of junior high school social studies (IPS) learning in the era of Society 5.0 in Banda Aceh City in facing curriculum demands, analyze the strategies of junior high school IPS teachers in enhancing their own competencies, and describe the solutions that junior high school IPS teachers employ to overcome challenges in facing the curriculum demands of the Society 5.0 era. This research utilizes a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, verification, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research indicate that the models and methods of IPS learning in junior high schools in Banda Aceh City during the Society 5.0 era demonstrate creativity by implementing various learning models and integrating technology, such as discovery learning, project-based learning (PBL), and discussions using media such as Canva, picture and picture, and employing a differentiation approach, among others. Junior high school IPS teachers enhance their competencies through activities such as MGMP (Teacher Subject Study Group), FORGIPSI (Forum Guru IPS Indonesia), and online self-learning, focusing on collaboration, technology integration, and the development of critical thinking skills. Solutions that junior high school IPS teachers can take include active participation in training activities, webinars, seminars, and collaboration among teachers. Despite limitations in IT facilities, teachers continue to make efforts to create an effective learning environment while motivating themselves to adapt to the future development of students.

Effects of the mental health promotion seminar ‘Coping with stress’ in the undergraduate medical curriculum of the Medical University of Vienna

BackgroundHigh prevalence rates of distress and burnout in medical students are well-documented in mental health literature. Different types of interventions have been developed in the past in order to reduce stress in medical undergraduate students and promote better coping skills. There is, however, a paucity of studies that have tested the effectiveness of these interventions. This study aimed to examine the effect of different versions of the seminar ‘Coping with stress’, which was implemented in the first year of the undergraduate curriculum of the Medical University of Vienna in the summer semester of 2018, on students’ mental health.MethodsInvitations to participate in the study were sent via email to six cohorts of students from the Medical University of Vienna. Two cohorts participated in the onsite version of the seminar ‘Coping with stress’, whereas two cohorts participated in the online version of the seminar, and two cohorts received no intervention (control group). Data on burnout risk, life satisfaction, stress, and knowledge about available help resources were collected via online questionnaires from n = 137 students before and after the curriculum module that contained the seminar.ResultsMedical students who participated in the onsite seminar reported a reduction of some aspects of burnout, a decrease in stress, and an increase in knowledge about available help resources. No such effect was seen in the control group. Participants of the online seminar experienced a similar increase in knowledge about available help resources, but no changes in other outcomes.ConclusionsThe findings support the notion that the onsite seminar of ‘Coping with stress’ had a positive impact on medical students’ mental health and is a useful addition to the medical curriculum by promoting mental health literacy.Trial registrationThis research has been registered in the German Clinical Trial Registry with the registration number DRKS00018981 and the registration date 14/11/2019.

Designing Information System of Website-Based Presence for Online Seminar in Postgraduate School of Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta

The problem faced in conducting online seminars at the Postgraduate School of Sebelas Maret University Surakarta (UNS) is the difficulty of recording the attendance of online seminar participants. Currently, the process of recording attendance data for online seminar participants is done using the Google Form application. The use of Google Forms for data collection of seminar participants is considered inefficient. This is because the online seminar committee is still copying data from the Google Form to be compiled into a report on the implementation of the online seminar. Based on the description of the background above, it can be formulated the problem to be solved in this research is "How to design a website-based attendance information system for online seminar activities at the UNS Graduate School". Limitations The problem that the author discusses in this study focuses more on the process of recording attendance data for online seminars organized by the UNS Graduate School. The method used to design a presence information system using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the Waterfall model. The programming language used in designing the presence information system is PHP Native, while the MySQL database is used for data storage. It is hoped that with the design of this attendance information system, it can help organizers of online seminars at the UNS Graduate School, both at national and international levels, to facilitate the process of taking attendance of seminar participants.

Knowledge, Attitude and Practice towards Prevention of Tuberculosis amongst Healthcare Workers in Dr. Lawrence Henshaw’s Memorial Hospital, Calabar, Cross River State

Despite the availability of tuberculosis (TB) infection control guidelines, research evidence suggests that its implementation seems to be inadequate in many settings including healthcare facilities. This is particularly due to inadequate knowledge and inappropriate attitude of healthcare workers towards TB prevention and control. This study was conducted as an attempt to investigate knowledge, attitude and practice towards prevention of TB among healthcare workers in Dr. Lawrence Henshaw’s Memorial Hospital, Calabar, Cross River State. Three (3) research questions were raised and two (2) hypotheses formulated to direct the course of this study. A descriptive cross-sectional survey was used to study a total of 87 healthcare workers selected from the Healthcare Facility using stratified random sampling technique. The instrument for data collection was validated and reliable questionnaire constructed in consonance with the objectives of the study. Data collected were described using frequency counts, simple percentage, mean, and standard deviation, while the study hypotheses were tested using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient significant at p<0.05. Results of the study revealed that majority of the respondents had adequate knowledge, positive attitude, and fairly good practice towards prevention of TB infection. There is a statistically significant and positive relationship between knowledge of TB, attitude towards prevention of TB; and practice towards prevention of TB among healthcare workers in Dr. Lawrence Henshaw’s Memorial Hospital, Calabar (p<0.05). It was therefore recommended that healthcare workers should be trained and re-trained through prompt participation in seminars, workshops, and conferences on TB infection prevention and control as an avenue to improve their knowledge and promote practice towards prevention and control of TB in the Hospital.

Participation of Women in Political Seminars and their Ability to Mentor their Children in Nakuru County

As the number of women in politics continues to` increase worldwide, balancing their political and parenting roles may pose a challenge. The study was carried out to investigate the effects of women participation in political seminars on their ability to mentor their children.in Nakuru County. The study adopted ex-post facto research design. The study had accessible population of 129 respondents that comprised of 105 women members of county assembly aspirants, 12 women parliamentary aspirants, 10 women representative aspirants and two women senatorial aspirants in Nakuru County during 2017 general elections. Census sampling technique was used to select all the 129 respondents. Data was collected using a questionnaire. Content and face validity of the questionnaire was ascertain of the study objectives and advice by experts from Department of Applied Community Development Studies of Egerton University. To estimate the reliability of the instrument, a pilot study was conducted on fourteen women political aspirants who participated in 2017 general elections from the neighboring Nyandarua County. The questionnaire was considered reliable when it attained an estimated Cronbach Alpha coefficient of 0.78. The questionnaire was self- administered with the guidance from the researcher. Quantitative data was summarized in frequency distribution tables and the responses analyzed using simple and multiple regression analysis methods with the help of SPSS computer package 25.0 version. Qualitative data was summarized in emerging themes based on the objectives of the study. The study revealed that participation of women in political seminars affected their ability to mentor their children. in Nakuru County (β= -0.852) at 0.05 level of significance. Findings of the study may offer insights to women politicians, education researchers and other stakeholders on the importance of parenthood and the challenges faced by women politicians.

Experience of farmers using mobile phone for farming information flow in Boro rice production: A case of Eastern Gangetic Plain

Mobile phones are widely used for personal communication, but their use for agricultural purposes is scarce in the Eastern Gangetic Plain. Given Bangladesh's heavy reliance on rice production, particularly dry season, the study addresses the gap in the literature by investigating farmers' perceptions and examining the factors that influence mobile phone usage and its impact on Boro rice production. The research entailed questionnaire surveys with 150 farmers from highly Boro-intensive regions. A perception index was used to gauge mobile phone acceptance, and Ordinary Least Square (OLS) and logit models were employed to analyze the factors affecting mobile phone usage and their influence on production levels. The perception index highlights various benefits, including easy access to farming and market information, prompt responses from extension officers, utilization of mobile apps for disease detection, and participation in online training and seminars. The logit model underscores the significance of educational status, credit access, household income, and extension services on the informative use of mobile phones among Boro rice farmers. The OLS findings showed that the informative use of mobile phones significantly increases Boro rice production by 1.6–4.5%, indicating that farmers with better access to farming information achieve higher production than non-users. Factors such as selling price, rainfall, credit availability, cultivable land, and farming experience significantly influenced Boro rice production. Overall, the study is rooted in the growing significance of mobile technology for disseminating crucial agricultural information. It seeks to thoroughly investigate its potential impact on Boro rice production, contributing to well-informed policy interventions and promoting sustainable agricultural development in the Eastern Gangetic Plain.

Addressing Pandemic Burnout Among Health Care Professionals: Beyond Intrapersonal Wellness Programming.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been distressing to health care professionals, causing significant burnout. Burnout has resulted in notable rates of mental health symptoms and job turnover. Hospitals have incorporated programming to meet the needs of health care professionals. A previously reported intervention at the study institution was a cognitive behavioral narrative writing program to target job-related stress. On the basis of participant feedback, psychoeducational seminars, psychotherapy drop-in sessions, and complementary interventions (mindfulness, yoga, and acupuncture) were also implemented to alleviate stress. This article is an update based on these year 2 augmentations. Participation in brief psychoeducational seminars and acupuncture was high, but engagement in other programming (individual psychotherapy and mindfulness) was poor. Hospitals should consider multimodal approaches to address pandemic-related stress and burnout. In addition to educational seminars, programs that address lasting distress should be offered to health care professionals. Targeting job-related burnout at organizational and systemic levels may ameliorate distress. This article discusses methods of integrating organizational programs into clinics.

The importance of social oocyte cryopreservation in supporting local municipalities: A prospective study.

With the trend toward late marriages and late childbearing, cryopreservation of oocytes for fertility preservation is attracting attention as a method to counteract the declining birthrate. To examine the impact of social oocyte cryopreservation on local communities by assessing the significance of government assistance for cryofreezing and capturing the participants' subsequent feelings regarding this assistance. Descriptive study. A prospective study was conducted on city-dwelling women <35 years old attending monthly seminars on oocyte retrieval/cryopreservation to whom the study concept was explained. Egg collection and storage management costs were free for 3 years after the project completed, and subsequent actual storage costs were borne by the individuals. After oocyte retrieval, we conducted a questionnaire on oocyte cryopreservation and administrative assistance. Of the 62 seminar participants, 2 became pregnant naturally without oocyte retrieval. Oocytes were retrieved in 34 women (average age: 32.8 years, number of oocytes obtained: 8.3), among whom 4 subsequently became pregnant and gave birth through natural pregnancy or artificial insemination, and 1 became pregnant and gave birth using frozen oocytes. In a follow-up questionnaire given to these 34 subjects, all responded that they were glad to have oocyte cryopreservation, but 23 subjects (67.6%) answered that they could not perform cryopreservation without financial assistance. Twenty-five participants (73.5%) wanted to try to conceive without using frozen oocytes as a post-cryopreservation plan. As a countermeasure against the declining birthrate, oocyte cryopreservation and associated workshops that can provide the information and education needed to conduct this task in a "planned" manner may be useful in providing women with additional reproductive options. Financial assistance will also be required to offer this service to the women who need it.

Digital Platforms As a New Interaction Environment: Review of the Scientific and Practical Seminar and Results of the Expert Survey

The article provides an overview of the scientific and practical seminar “Digital platforms as a new interaction environment” held on April 23, 2024 at the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation and the results of the expert survey. The seminar was attended by representatives of Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation, Kutafin Moscow State Law University, National Research University “Higher School of Economics”, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Siberian Federal University, National University of Oil and Gas “Gubkin University” and others. The presentations of the seminar participants are systematized according to the most relevant thematic blocks related to the functioning of digital platforms: general issues of legal regulation of digital platforms; the impact of digital platforms on human rights; digital platforms in public administration; digital platforms in private law, criminal law and other spheres. The following legal issues are highlighted: the essence of the digital platform from the perspective of law; the impact of digital platforms on the economy, public administration, human rights and changes in their scope and content; risks arising from the activities of digital platforms; digital platforms and antitrust regulation; network effect in the activities of digital platforms; labor relations using digital platforms; protection of labor rights and digital platforms; the risk of discrimination related to the activities of digital platforms.

Assistance and Development of MSMEs’ Nata de coco Product to Increase Product Value in Godegan, Srandakan, Special Region of Yogyakarta

Abstract. Partners in this PPM[1] KKN service program are Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) entrepreneurs and residents in Godegan, Srandakan, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The partner is stated to be an MSME because the main program of the Community Service Team will accompany several MSMEs in Godegan hamlet, especially MSMEs’ nata de coco product; besides that, it will also organize an auxiliary program in the form of Population Data Digitization. The purpose of this service is to increase the value of processed nata de coco products, which in turn can increase the income of citizens until economic independence occurs. The problems faced by MSMEs’ nata de coco product are that managers only process nata de coco in semi-finished form and do not have the knowledge to increase the value of products so that they have a better selling value. Packaging, logos, and product brands are also obstacles to marketing processed finished products. In addition to the problems found in the nata de coco MSME business, there are also problems in the hamlet, namely the administration of population data that is not updated because it is recorded manually. Based on these problems, the Community Service Team solves problems by carrying out activities divided into production, marketing, and Financial Records. In the production aspect, training and assistance in product processing and attractive nata de coco packaging to increase product value. From the marketing aspect, assistance is needed in online product marketing, while from a financial point of view, assistance is carried out in managing business finances. The Community Service Team also provides training and assistance in terms of creating company profiles and digitizing population data. The outputs of this service program are news in the mass media, videos of activities, participation in national seminars on community service, and scientific manuscripts published in the form of Sinta-accredited journals.&#x0D;

Edukasi Konsep dan Penerapan Pajak Karbon bagi Mahasiswa

Climate change caused by carbon emissions has been felt in almost all countries, including Indonesia. The government has issued policy Law Number 7 of 2021 concerning Harmonization of Tax Regulations (UU HPP) which regulates the imposition of carbon tax. Apart from that, the Government has also issued Presidential Regulation Number 98 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Carbon Economic Value. The aim of this regulation is to reduce carbon emissions in Indonesia by imposing taxes. Community service activities are carried out through seminars aimed at providing the public with an understanding of the concept and application of carbon tax as well as elaboration of practices carried out in other countries. The material presented in this seminar includes: the concept of carbon tax, the practice of imposing carbon tax in other countries, existing regulations in Indonesia, discussion and delivery of conclusions. The implementation of the seminar consists of three stages. First, presentation of material from the resource person. Second, question and answer session with participants. The number of seminar participants was around 100 people from academics, both students and lecturers from UPN Veteran Jakarta and other universities.

Cultural Footprint. Rich Personality of the Teacher as a Factor of the Development of Scientific Schooling

Between November 1st to 2nd, 2023 the Faculty of Philology of Moscow State University held a scientific and methodological seminar Linguodidactic description of the Russian language in the “mirror” of foreign language systems, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the birth of Professor M. V. Vsevolodova and her scientific heritage. An outstanding scientist, Doctor of Philology, Honored Professor of Moscow State University, Honorary Professor of the Shanghai University of Foreign Languages, Maya Vladimirovna Vsevolodova was at the origins of the creation of one of the most important applied areas in Russian studies — Russian as a foreign language (RFL). She was one of the founders of the linguodidactic scientific school in the field of RFL, as well as in the field of functional communicative grammar. The seminar was attended by famous scientists (E. L. Barkhudarova, L. P. Klobukova, A. V. Velichko, V. V. Krasnykh) and young teachers from different universities of Russia (Kazan Federal University, Vladivostok State University, etc.). Over two days of work, seminar participants listened to 35 reports. Most of the reports were devoted to the personality of Maya Vladimirovna along with her scientific and teaching activities. In his opening address Professor A. A. Lipgart called the seminar an important scientific event and wished the participants interesting creative reports. On the first day of the seminar O. V. Chagina and L. P. Klobukova spoke of the unique personality, intellect, and work of Maya Vladimirovna. E. L. Barkhudarova devoted her report to Vsevolodova’s textbook of Russian phonetics for Polish speakers, a model of a nationally oriented pronunciation course. On the second day of the seminar there were two sections — Grammar and Cultural Studies. The work of both was opened by reports from teachers of the Russian Language Department of the MGIMO University. N. D. Afanasyeva, in her report, emphasized the importance of considering the characteristics of the national mentality of students, the need not only to give students knowledge about the Russian language as a system, but also to include them in Russianlanguage communication. The presentation contained many striking examples, which aroused great interest among the audience. T. L. Borisenko shared her experience of teaching verb types in the RFL practical grammar course. As on the first day of the seminar, on November 2nd, some of the reports were of a memorial nature and were dedicated directly to the personality of Maya Vladimirovna. The cultural significance of the work of Maya Vladimirovna Vsevolodova, the creator of a scientific school, a wonderful scientist and wise mentor who raised more than one generation of Russian scholars, goes beyond her time: her students continue her work today in different parts of the world.

ALLEVIATING WORRIES OF DEMENTIA AMONG OLDER ADULTS WHO ATTEND AN AGING BRAIN SEMINAR

Abstract Dementia worry is prevalent among older adults, and these concerns are often not addressed. Research demonstrates the public lacks accurate knowledge of dementia, which contributes to its negative perception. We hypothesized participation in an aging brain seminar would significantly alleviate dementia worry in older adults. The 45-minute in-person talk covered normal and abnormal aging brain changes, and research-based strategies for healthy brain aging. Attendees completed surveys immediately before and after the seminar. Both surveys included the 12-item Dementia Worry Scale (DWS), which uses Likert scales to assess dementia worry. Two additional Likert questions in the post-survey determined the immediate effect on dementia worry and intent to adopt new strategies. 7 sessions garnered 61 viable pre-post surveys from 160 attendees. 69% reported their dementia worry was somewhat or significantly improved; 68% reported they were very likely or definitely going to take action. Collectively, the Dementia Worry scale was reduced (median pre=19, median post=16, range= 12 - 41), but results were insignificant (p=0.058) likely due to the long-term nature of the questions. The aging brain seminar was successful. It resulted in an immediate reduction of dementia worry and intent to change behavior, and it can be effectively delivered by a medical student. Further research is warranted to determine if the seminar has a long-term effect on dementia worry and sustained adoption of healthy behaviors.

Examination of the Attitudes of Sports Science Students Towards Autism Spectrum Disorder in Terms of Various Variables

This study aimed to examine the attitudes of sports science students towards Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the context of various variables. The research was conducted in a survey model. To determine the participants' attitudes towards Autism Spectrum Disorder, the "Autism Spectrum Disorder Attitudes Scale (ASDAS)" developed by Flood et al. (2013) and adapted to Turkish by Batum (2019) was employed as the data collection tool. Additionally, a 9-item personal information form was included in the data collection tool, addressing participants' gender, academic class, major, the presence of individuals with autism in their immediate surroundings, willingness to work with individuals with autism, participation in programs, seminars, or courses related to autism, knowledge about the educational settings and processes for individuals with autism, awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorder in society, and preferred educational environment for individuals with autism. The data collected from the participants were analyzed using SPSS-25 software. A total of 239 students, consisting of 89 females and 150 males, participated in the study. The results indicated significant differences in the attitudes of students towards Autism Spectrum Disorder concerning the gender variable and the knowledge sub-dimension of ASDAS, the desire to work with individuals with autism and the social attitude and personal distance sub-dimensions of ASDAS, knowledge about the educational settings and processes for individuals with autism and the personal distance sub-dimension of ASDAS, awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorder in society and the total score and knowledge sub-dimension of ASDAS, the major variable and the personal distance sub-dimension of ASDAS, and the preferred educational environment for individuals with autism and the social attitude and knowledge sub-dimensions of ASDAS. In conclusion, it was observed that attitudes towards Autism Spectrum Disorder are not solely determined by individuals' educational level or knowledge but are also influenced by social, cultural, and individual factors.

Training And Guidance Of Class Action Research To Improve Professionalism For Primary School Teachers

A research proposal is a description, comprising the steps that will be carried out by the researcher to conduct the research. A research proposal contains problem components, theoretical basis and hypothesis submission, and research methods. The general aim of this activity is to increase teachers' understanding and ability in compiling classroom action research to increase a teacher's professionalism. Participants in this activity came from 25 elementary school teachers. In the presentation of the material presented by the presenter, he provided direction and strategies, as well as equipping the participants with information about how to prepare PTK proposals in this era of independent learning, of course combined with direct experience which the presenter had experienced so that it was more realistic and easier for the seminar participants to understand. This seminar activity was mostly filled with discussions with the participants in determining and formulating an introduction to the PTK process. In general, participants actually know about PTK. The participants were very enthusiastic about taking part in this activity, the seminar went smoothly without any obstacles. The seminar process was fun and certainly memorable for the participants

Aplikasi Pendaftaran Seminar dan Sertifikat Online pada STIKOM Uyelindo Kupang

College of Computer Informatics Management (STIKOM) Uyelindo Kupang is an IT-based school that has been established since 2000. STIKOM Uyelindo Kupang often holds many activities, one of which is seminars. Problems that arise when carrying out seminars that use many third-party applications such as Google Forms, Photoshop, WhatsApp, or Google Drive for registration of seminar participants, filling in attendance lists, recording participant attendance data, making certificates, and sending certificates so that they are less effective and efficient. The next problem is manually collecting data on seminar participants in attendance. Then the admin will enter the participant's name into the certificate manually. This will take time and require a large enough storage to store the certificate files that have been created. Another problem is that duplication of seminar certificate data can occur, due to the absence of certificate data validation. Therefore an application is needed that can solve existing problems to facilitate the process of running seminar activities. The purpose of this research is to build an online seminar application that can help with seminar activities that will be held at STIKOM Uyelindo Kupang using the Waterfall Method. The expected end result of this research is to be able to build online seminar and certificate registration applications which can later assist in the process of seminar activities which cover all seminar activities.

Academic seminars as tool for clinical and translational science education and dissemination: Perceptions and priorities in the COVID-19 era.

Academic seminars are an important venue through which investigators in health services research (HSR) and other clinical and translational science disciplines can share their work, gather feedback, and connect with colleagues. However, the format and focus of these seminars shifted abruptly when the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic necessitated social distancing and underscored the salience of health equity. Little is known about how contemporary academic seminars are meeting the evolving needs of the HSR community. We surveyed 2021-2022 participants in a virtual HSR seminar series to understand experiences of and priorities for the seminars. We also compared results stratified by self-reported under-represented minority (URM) status. Of 45 respondents (including 26 faculty members, 8 trainees, 9 staff members, and 2 community partners), 38% self-identified as URM. Participants reported high satisfaction with seminar quality, diversity of topics, and audience participation (median ≥4 for all outcomes in Likert-scaled items where 5 = very satisfied). Knowledge acquisition, understanding of research methods, and collaboration were commonly cited as benefits of seminar attendance. Implementation science content and external collaboration were most often endorsed as priorities for future seminars. URM participants were over three times more likely than non-URM participants to cite learning about engaging community stakeholders and historically excluded populations as a benefit of seminar participation. Virtual academic seminars can be an effective modality for knowledge sharing and collaboration worth continuing after COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Emphasizing equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) values in these seminars may hold potential for advancing academic departments' own EDI goals.

A Study on the Effect of the Developmental Academic Advising Based on Student Engagement for University Freshman

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of the “Developmental Academic Advising Seminar” for first-year university students which was developed based on student engagement. To this end, the following three steps were taken. First, this study reviewed previous literature on academic advising and designed a developmental academic advising seminar centered on student engagement. Second, the seminar was provided to first-year university students for two hours per week for the first five weeks at “A” University in the Seoul metropolitan area. Third, the differences before and after the seminar participation were analyzed through the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test after conducting a pre- and post-test on learning motivation and educational effectiveness for participants. In addition, through interviews, the effects of the seminar were examined in terms of quality. The research results were as follows. First, developmental academic advising seminars showed a positive effect on increasing learning motivation, helping academic and career design, and improving satisfaction of faculty teaching methods and educational content. Second, academic advising focused on diverse student activities, helping them with self-reflection and their understanding of others. The results of this study suggest that teaching first-year university students should be conducted based on presentations and discussions focusing on student engagement, professional academic advising on self-reflection, and academic and career path designing, all of which are closely related to university life, rather than professor-centered lectures. This study is meaningful in that it was conducted for a small group of freshmen in order to analyze the contents of individual students' learning motivation and to make changes in educational effectiveness.

Seminar participants collaborated as a team to improve their organization, work environment, and labor issues using the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle. The PDCA cycle helps healthcare providers identify risks and hazards in their work environment and address daily issues. It guides them in planning and executing improvements while enabling progress tracking and encouraging further considerations for implementation.

Aging is a natural stage in human life accompanied by physical and health changes. In Bahjoga Village, Indonesia, people face specific health challenges as they age, including digestive disorders (GERD) and gout. This extension aims to provide practical guidance on healthy living and integrate scientific knowledge with local values. The focus includes a healthy diet, regular physical activity, stress management and the use of traditional herbs. Through counseling, the community is expected to adopt practical steps to live a healthy life without digestive disorders and gout. The research method involved counseling, outreach, and measuring knowledge before and after the counseling and the health seminar participants totaled 29 people. The results showed a significant increase in people's understanding of GERD and gout after counseling. The implication is that counseling plays an important role in providing information and encouraging healthy lifestyles. This research underscores the important role of counseling in raising awareness and preventive action on certain health problems, as well as providing a strong basis for continuing extension efforts.
