DIGITAL LITERATION MODELS FOR CHARACTER EDUCATION IN GLOBALIZATION ERA

Purpose of the study: The purpose of the study is as one of the strategies to improve civic virtue through the development of digital literacy models for the character building in universities to compete in the era of globalization.
 Methodology: The method used in this research is research and development methods. Data collection techniques in this preliminary study were carried out through observation, interviews at universities in Central Java, to obtain data on the development of digital literacy models.
 Main Findings: Development of an integrated digital literacy model through the semester learning plan inserted in each learning. The use of social media as a medium in the development of digital literacy models in the learning of Citizenship Education has a positive and negative impact.
 Applications of this study: The literacy habituation in learning that utilizes social media can improve the student's civic virtue that has students well behaved both in the campus environment and in the community.
 Novelty/Originality of this study: The elaboration of intellectual attitudes in determining attitudes and decisions in acting as a responsible citizen. In this globalization era, the development of technology and information is very important. The education process requires the will to literacy; Literacy is the most important activity in education.

Validitas dan Praktikalitas Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) Terintegrasi Research Based Learning

The research results show that most students find it difficult to complete their studies. One reason is the lack of ability to write scientific papers, the weakness of research methodology and the lack of student involvement in lecturer research. Therefore, research on the development of integrated semester learning plans is based on research. This research aims to produce a valid and practical RPS. The model used in this development is the 4-D model. The study was conducted in Semester V, majoring in PGMI FTK UIN STS Jambi. Data collection techniques used a questionnaire consisting of an expert validation sheet, a lecturer response sheet to the RPS, and a RPS implementation sheet. The results showed that the learning tools developed had met the valid and practical criteria. This can be seen based on the results of the validation of the RPS by expert validators and education practitioners who have been implemented, which developed an average score of 3.9 with a very valid category. The practicality of RPS is known from observations of the implementation of learning with an average of 93.3% the category is very practical, the questionnaire responses of lecturers on average is 90% with the practical category.

Konsep Penginjeksian Mata Kuliah Baru Pada Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Elektro

Higher education must adapt to the advencement of Science and Technology, one of the ways that Universities can do by implementing curriculum enhancement. Curriculum enhancement can be done by adding new courses. This article aims to find the concept of injecting new subjects, especially in the Electrical Engineering Education study program, State University of Padang. The method in this study uses a qualitative research ex post facto comparative approach. The characteristics of this study compare two different groups, namely comparing the curriculum of the University of LPTK (Lembaga Pendidikan Tenaga Kependidikan) and the curriculum of the University of Non-LPTK to look for curriculum characteristics in covering different subjects with the characteristics of vocational education, but in accordance with the characteristics of vocational education in considering eye input lectures that are aligned with digital characteristics in the field of vocational education studies. The suitability of the characteristics of the Image Processing course with the characteristics of the LPTK curriculum results in a Semester Learning Plan for the Image Processing course to be applied to the Electrical Engineering Education study program in State University of Padang.

STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN KEWIRAUSAHAAN FTI USAKTI

The implementation of Entrepreneurship at FTI Trisakti University which is still ongoing for 3 years 2017- 2019. The implementation of Entrepreneurship is an Entrepreneurship Community Development Scheme Entrepreneurship Development Program supported by funding from the Ministry of Research and Technology which aims to foster independent entrepreneurship among students and alumni. It is not easy to develop entrepreneurship in a campus environment with diverse backgrounds in the families of students' families, for this reason a Mentoring method was chosen to be able to help and direct student tenants to be able to obtain the passion that exists in entrepreneurship. The results of this entrepreneurial activity resulted in 20 entrepreneurial tenants coming from alumni and students as well as entrepreneurship textbooks and industrial design intellectual property rights which are currently still in the submission process. The implication of this entrepreneurship development program is to improve semester learning plans for entrepreneurship courses in the curriculum of the study program

Quality validation of learning outcomes test instrument of core courses in Polytechnics Health Jakarta II, Indonesia

The congruence of learning outcomes and learning achievement test instrument need to be appropriate so that graduates are competent. To evaluate the process of developing learning outcome tests and content validity in the Diploma Program of Polytechnics Health Jakarta II. Survey, descriptive and cross sectional. Collecting data about the validation of learning outcome test questions is done by looking at how the lecturer develops the learning outcomes test and the quality of the test instrument. The development of learning outcomes test questions was carried out with a questionnaire on 40 lecturers randomly selected and content validity data obtained from the exam questions and semester learning plan one expertise courses from seven majors. The questionnaire for the development of learning outcomes was modified by Munadi, while content validation used Lawshe coefficient with a validator number of five people. Descriptive quantitative analysis. Development of 71 % learning test is a combination of essay and multiple–choice questions, 63 % of lecturers make question boxes, 33 % of lecturers always validate the problem with competency or learning achievement and only 22 % of lecturers adjust the questions with the indicators. The content validation ratio is 0.90 with a panel of five experts. The commitment of lecturers and institusions to maintain the quality of the learning outcomes test instrument that is integrated so that evidence based practice needs to be improved so that graduates quality is maintained.

The proofing validation of conventional mechanical drawing job sheet

The research aims to develop and assess the feasibility of a Job Drawing course in Mechanical Drawing (MD) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education, Yogyakarta State University (DMEE-UNY). This study uses the 4-D Thiagarajan model. The study was conducted at DMEE-UNY. Research subjects were media expert lecturers, content experts, and student responses. Data collection techniques using interviews and questionnaires. The questionnaire was used to evaluate the validation of expert lecturers and student responses. Data were analysed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that the development of the job sheet was successfully carried out by the MD Semester Learning Plan (SLP) in DMEE, consisting of 43 drawing tasks divided into 13 sections. The level of eligibility of the MD course’s job sheet from the validation of content expert lecturers, media experts, and student responses stated that it was very feasible.

THE USE OF EDMODO APPLICATION SYSTEM TO INCREASE MOTIVATION FOR LEARNING ENGLISH IN THE SECOND SEMESTER OF ENGLISH DEPARTMENT AT MADURA ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY

The use of technology in learning English is very important in today's modern era which is fully digital and electronic. Edmodo is one application of technology that can be used in the process of teaching and learning activities, also useful in learning English. Edmodo application can increase motivation to learn English and balance the development of an era that is completely sophisticated and fully uses electronic media technology. English learning in the second semester is the object of research and use of Edmodo system because second-semester students are considered to be still transitioning to emotional change so they need additional guidance in learning. The use of Edmodo is very useful for the second-semester students because they can discuss and share further online both with the lecturer and classmates. To support this research, researchers used descriptive qualitative. Edmodo is a developing application technology is very useful and important as a tool to assist lecturers in facilitating teaching and learning activities. Design of the Model of Internalizing Islamic Values in General Subjects

El Hakim Hard Air College of Economics (STIE) Solok Regency, West Sumatra Province has unique features in the education program, namely; the existence of a model of internalizing Islamic values in each subject, particular in vision and mission has Islamic characteristics, namely "creating professional Muslim human resources", in the structural aspect places specific officials in the pesantren in charge of managing the field of developing Islamic values and formally there are courses containing Islamic values such as; Islamic economic morals, mu'amalat economics, financial basics in al Quran and al-hadist, etc. This research is focused on developing a model design to internalize Islamic values in learning. The results were found in the application of the design model of internalizing Islamic values in the semester learning plan (RPS), the learning process and the evaluation of learning outcomes in business ethics courses.

EFEKTIFITAS PENGGUNAAN E-LEARNING BERBASIS EDMODO TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIKA

Along with the development of technology both directly and indirectly can change someone in communicating, socializing and learning, this is a challenge for lecturers to be able to use technology optimally and to facilitate interaction with students in teaching and learning both in class and outside the classroom so that indicators in the unit of lecture events and semester learning design can be achieved. Edmodo is a social network platform for lecturers and students to share ideas, files, agenda of activities and assignments. Edmodo is designed to create lecturer and student interactions that emphasize fast communication, polling, assignments, sharing ideas, and much more. The research aims: 1) to find out whether mathematics learning using Edmodo (experimental) is better than learning without using Edmodo (conventional) on mathematical communication; 2) to find out whether students who study using Edmodo are positive towards learning mathematics. Quantitative research with quasi-experiment method, the research design used is nonequivalent control group design: providing two different treatments to two groups, namely the experimental class (Edmodo) and the control class (conventional). Quantitative data collection and analysis techniques using normality test, homogeneity test, two average similarity test, and t test. The results of the study are: 1). Learning using edmodo is better with learning without using edmodo with mathematical communication skills. 2). Students who learn to use edmodo have a positive attitude towards learning mathematics. The implication of the research is for the next researcher, using edmodo media so that maximum control is needed on students. If further research is conducted with different samples, the results shown will also be different. This can be viewed from a variety of different characteristics of students that greatly affect the ability of mathematical communication.

Development of Competency Based Learning Model in Learning Computer Networks

Based on preliminary research that has been done, research problems are The purpose of computer network learning has not been clearly defined based on student needs, the learning process of computer networks is not optimal. The development of computer network learning uses a model of competency based learning aimed at helping educators facilitate students to be active, innovative, and creative in constructing their knowledge, through real experiences students get in the learning process. This research is research and development (R & D) that uses competency based learning learning models. Development of competency based learning learning models using the ADDIE model. Based on data analysis, the findings of this study are Competency Based Learning learning model has been successfully developed, The syntax of developed competency based learning models consists of 5 learning steps, Computer network teaching manuals consisting of syllabus and semester learning plan, and WEB-based learning media that are valid, practical, and effective. The results of this study can be used by lecturers, and learning designers in developing or realizing the learning process that can facilitate students to be active, innovative, and creative in developing students’ knowledge of computer networks better.

Developing Statistics Learning Equipment Based on the PMRI Approach Oriented to Students’ Statistical Reasoning Ability

This development research aims to produce valid, practical, and effectivelearning equipment. The developed learning equipmentincludesemester learning plans (RPS), student worksheets (LKM), and test questions in basic statistics courses using the PMRI approach oriented to statistical reasoning ability. This study employs the ADDIE development model. The quality of the product was assessed based on the validity, practicality, and effectiveness aspects. The result shows that the validity quality of the learning equipment has fulfilledthe valid criteria indicated by the average score of semester learning plans of 3.75 and the average score of the student worksheet of 3.70. The practicality of learning equipmenthas met the practical criteria indicated by the students’ questionnaire responsesscore of 3.125 and the results of learning implementation observation of 90.17. The effectiveness shows a score of 15% with low effective criteria, although based on the results of students’ answers as a whole,the students' statistical reasoning is at level 3 (Procedural Reasoning).

Model Manajemen Pembelajaran Pendidikan Islam Berbasis Masalah: Studi Kasus pada Jurusan Tarbiyah dan Adab IAIN Parepare

Learning in college is very urgent considering aspects of relevance and effectiveness. One strategy that becomes the trend of study is problem-based learning. Problem-based learning strategies are considered urgent and relevant to be applied in higher education, as an effort to trigger scientific exploration to foster critical and creative thinking skills. Problem based learning strategies should be based on research in order to have a systemic scientific structure, a strong, functional and implementative foundation in learning. The relevance and effectiveness of the implementation of problem-based learning strategies is designed with a management approach. Management breaks down the stages of problem-based learning strategies, including planning, implementation, and evaluation (assessment). Problem-based learning strategy planning includes the preparation of Semester Learning Plans (Rencana Pembelajaran Semester or RPS) that refer to the curriculum of study programs, establish learning outcomes, design teaching materials, analyze students, choose media, compile learning evaluation systems, and predict possible problems. All of them are designed with problem-based adapted from the results of the research. Implementation of problem-based learning begins with initial activities including attendance, apperception, orientation, and motivation, core activities include exploration, elaboration, and confirmation, and final activities including conclusions and assessments (evaluations). Evaluation of learning includes program assessment, implementation assessment, and assessment of goals achievement. Principles of learning assessment include educative, objective, accountability, and transparent. Measuring the achievement of problem-based learning is seen in indicators of critical and creative thinking abilities, including problem response, understanding problems, knowing cause of problems, able to find alternative solutions, recognize the impact of the problem, and be able to connect with other science disciplines. The strategy of problem-based learning in higher education has implications for students' interest and motivation in developing critical and creative thinking skills.

Efektivitas program pembekalan kemampuan calon guru matematika dalam bidang penilaian

This study aims to develop learning programs and effectiveness in order to improve the ability of prospective mathematics teachers in the field of assessment. This type of research is research and development design (R & D design). This study consists of four stages, namely preliminary studies, program planning, program development and program validation. Preliminary studies were carried out during the initial research activities using various sources in the field and literature review. Program design is done by preparing learning programs in the form of syllabus, Semester Learning Plans , teaching materials, media and evaluation tools. The program that was designed was then developed by means of judgment, trial and revision. From the results of the development then a hypothetical product program is obtained which will be tested for its effectiveness. Effectiveness testing is carried out in program validation activities through the implementation of hypothetical product programs. The results of the study showed that it was effective and efficient in improving the mastery of the theory and practice of evaluating mathematics learning

Evaluasi Kurikulum Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan di Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang

Changes in the curriculum of al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan 1 course at the Muhammadiyah University of Palembang became a challenge for lecturers in preparing semester learning plans and implementation of learning to adjust to the National Standards of Higher Education, because in addition to being a national compulsory subject known as Islamic Religious Education with the number 2 credits are also compulsory courses at the University of Muhammadiyah Palembang. This study uses the Countenance evaluation model popularized by Stake, namely two main matrices in the description of descriptions and judgments As for the results of this research found, the documents contained in the al-Islam semester learning plan Kemuhammadiyahan 1 (Islamic Religious Education) have met the criteria of the National Standards of Higher Education but in the learning methods section and assessment indicators do not meet the criteria of the National Standards of Higher Education. While the learning process of the al-Islam Muhammadiyah Center 1 Faculty of Economics and Business shows a discrepancy with the semester learning plan of the Kemuhammadiyahan al-Islamic course due to ineffective use of time in the learning process. And students can understand and try to practice well the basics of the Islamic religion.

IMPLEMENTASI HYBRID LEARNING MENGGUNAKAN APLIKASI EDMODO PADA MATAKULIAH METODE PENELITIAN KUALITATIF

This article discusses the application of Hybrid Learning using the Edmodo application in the subject of the qualitative research method for fourth semester students at Podi PGMI UNISMA Malang. The discussion chapter is divided into three sub-topics. First is online lecture planning in qualitative research courses. Starting from semester learning plans, learning strategies and material preparation in the form of soft files, so that they are easily uploaded and downloaded by lecturers and students. The second is the implementation of online lectures in qualitative research courses. For some online college students it is new but for most online college students it is new. The difficulties and advantages of online ducting appear on each side. One of the difficulties associated with technical matters is understanding material and collecting tasks. From an excess point of view, one of them is that students no longer print assignments so they are more efficient because there are no printing costs for lecture assignments. The three Edmodo assessments provide a variety of assignment models ranging from file delivery assignments, choice of gandan, essay, match, and incorrect. In addition, the value of learning outcomes is better controlled because each task file, Edmodo provides an assessment form. So that students are able to know the assessment transparently. And if something goes wrong, students and lecturers can monitor each other while conducting joint evaluations.

Internalization of the champion core values in work system design and ergonomics learning

This study aims to obtain the concrete example design of the learning outcomes based on internalization of synergy between the CHAMPION core values of Universitas Katolik Musi Charitas with KKNI of Ergonomics and Works System Design courses in Industrial Engineering Department. The CHAMPION core values are Charity, Humanity, Altruism, Managing-capacity, Persistence, Integrity, Open-minded, and Novelty. Internalization of CHAMPION core values in semester learning plans for ergonomics courses will provide distinctive features that differentiate them from other universities. The application of ergonomics that is synergized with the CHAMPION core values is very possible to produce the work system design of teaching and learning process that are reviewed systemic, holistic, interdisciplinary and participatory so that it has an impact on effective, confortable, safe, healty, efficient. Based on the research results, impact on learning outcomes; attitudes and values is 29,58%, general skills is14,79%, special skills is 33,80%, dan knowledge mastery is 21,83%. Three great interesting learning methods are; student centered learning is 39,47%, interaction / group discussion is 32,89%, and project based is 27,63%. Learning experience; task is 29%, compile papers is 27%, doing practice is 20%, survey or visit is 16%, and comparative study is 8%. Assesment criteria / rubric; assignment test as courses, projects, portfolios is 35,9%, written test is 30,9%, performance test is 16,9%, observation test is 7%, and participation test is 2,8%. Based on the data above designed a Semester Learning Plan for Work System Design and Ergonomics courses based on CHAMPION core values.

Equivalent but not the Same: Teaching and Learning in Full Semester and Condensed Summer Courses

Research on teaching and learning in condensed-course formats is varied and difficult to generalize. We analyze this research and identify factors that may account for the varied findings. Additionally, we present a mixed methodology study of 20 matched-pair courses (i.e., full and condensed formats) from 11 disciplines which examines student learning and student and faculty perception data. We find that faculty and students perceive condensed courses as more effective, but that student learning varies depending upon the measures used to assess it. We conclude by considering the implications of our study for teaching and assessment practices.

Reconstruction of collaborative problem solving based learning in thermodynamics with the aid of interactive simulation and derivative games

The reconstruction of thermodynamic learning aims to develop and innovate the student-centred learning. Another aim was to provide the students’ 21st century skills such as problem-solving and reflective thinking skills through collaborative problem solving. Enhancement of students’ ability to solve problems, effectively carried out in groups in which they are encouraged to exchange arguments, combine knowledge and skills in finding solutions. The reconstruction of thermodynamic learning was developed with the help of interactive simulations in abstract concepts, cycles and graph, and derivatives games with the objective of assisting in the understanding of thermodynamic. Method used in this research was design and development research (DDR). There were two stages that had been done in this research: (1) the design and development model which was the design of CPS based thermodynamic learning model, and (2) the development of learning tools including: syllabus, semester learning plan, learning activity, and learning experience. The results showed that the difficulty in understanding abstract concepts could be overcome by the use of interactive simulations and derivative games. Therefore through the CPS model can be students are trained in cooperating, collaborating, arguing for solutions by utilizing technology and information to address world challenges in the 21st century.

Pengembangan model pembelajaran Student Center Learning (SCL) berbasis aktivitas pada mata kuliah Pendidikan Pancasila di Fakultas Hukum

This research is a development research of learning methods for Pancasila Education in the Faculty of Law UII using Student Center Learning (SCL) learning methods based on student activities. Learning problems that will be solved in this study include: First, is how the SCL learning method based on activity in the Pancasila Education Course at the Faculty of Law UII. Second, is whether the SCL method based on activity in the Pancasila Education subject is in accordance with Learning Outcomes. This study uses experimental research methods and class action (experiment and action research) by using 2 parallel classes, one class as an experimental class implementing SCL learning methods based on activity, while the other class is used as a class that does not use SCL methods based on activity. The results showed: First, the right methods to be used in learning Pancasila Education courses include brain stroming, discussion, observation, and presentation of the results of discussion and observation, and reflection. Second, classes that use the activity-based SCL learning method are more effective and efficient at achieving the learning outcomes specified in the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) compared to classes that do not use the activity-based SCL method.
