Learning management based on the Semester Credit System (SKS) in madrasas can produce qualified graduates and compete with other public schools. However, learning management in madrasas that implement the SKS specifically in Islamic boarding schools still has not widely been discussed. Therefore, this study aimed to describe learning management based on the SKS which includes planning, implementing, and evaluating learning at MA Istimewa Amanatul Ummah Pacet Mojokerto. This type of research was qualitative using a phenomenological, descriptive research approach. Research data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. To analyze the data, the researcher used some data analysis techniques proposed by Miles Huberman and Saldana that are data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion. Meanwhile, the data validity test was carried out by triangulation of data sources. The results showed that Semester Credit System–based learning planning is a series of activities to prepare teaching materials, lesson plans, and media. Regarding these preparations, the SKS program provides services to all students, encourages students to be more independent, prepares curriculum structures which based on students’ scores, groups students based on their learning outcomes, and evaluates students’ tasks based on the basic competencies of each subject. In addition, the evaluations in the SKS program are carried out through several techniques: (1) briefings, that can be performed under any circumstances, (2) academic supervision of teachers undertaken by the principal or his deputy, (3) end-of-semester evaluations to analyze the abilities of students, and (4) weekly evaluations to determine the success of implementing the SKS program at MA Istimewa Amanatul Ummah Pacet Mojokerto.
