The development of a new power system is proposing new requirements for the function of the feeder terminal unit (FTU), which is the core equipment of the distribution automation system. At the same time, the improvement of FTU intelligence brings a new solution to the problem of line loss calculation. Aiming at the problems of complex structure and low measurement accuracy of current FTU, a hardware scheme combining ADC sampling chip and high-performance MCU is proposed in this paper to realize the integrated application of energy measurement function. Moreover, it is equipped with a line loss calculation module to achieve high precision line loss calculation when the metering chip cannot meet the precision requirements. At the same time, the modular design effectively improves the operation reliability and function expansion of the terminal.
