PERAN PENYULUH DALAM IMPLEMENTASI USAHATANI JERUK NIPIS BERKELANJUTAN DI DESA LANDONO DUA KECAMATAN LANDONO KABUPATEN KONAWE SELATAN

The objective of this study is to ascertain the role of extension agents in the implementation of sustainable lime farming practices in Landono Dua Village, Landono District, South Konawe Regency. The population under investigation in this study consisted of lime farmers in Landono Dua Village, Landono District. The study sample was obtained through a census, resulting in a total of 49 individuals. This research employs a quantitative methodology. The variables under investigation are divided into two categories: the role of extension workers and the sustainability of lime farming. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis using questionnaires as the primary data collection instrument. The data were processed using a quantitative descriptive method, employing the class interval formula. The findings revealed that the role of agricultural extension agents can be classified into five distinct roles: facilitator, innovator, motivator, dynamizer, and educator. The role of agricultural extension workers in this study is categorized as positive, as evidenced by the effective implementation of the five roles identified. The sustainability of farming is divided into five aspects: ecological, economic, and social. The implementation of lime farming sustainability in this study is categorized as positive, indicating that the three aspects of sustainability have been applied effectively and have yielded positive results.

PERAN PENYULUH PERTANIAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN SAYURAN PADA KELOMPOK TANI NEKMESE DI DESA KESETNANA KECAMATAN MOLLO SELATAN KABUPATEN TIMOR TENGAH SELATAN

This study aims to determine the role of agricultural extension agents in increasing vegetable crop production. The next objective is to determine the efforts made by extension agents to increase vegetable crop production and the production problems faced by farmers. The research was conducted in Kesetnana Village, South Mollo District, South Central Timor District. Measurements use an ordinal scale and are quantified with a Likert scale. Analysis of the role of extension agents used quantitative descriptive analysis by comparing the percentage value of achieving the maximum score of the average score with a reference table. Meanwhile, to find out the efforts made by extension workers to increase vegetable crop production and production problems faced by farmers with qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the average score of the agricultural instructor's role as a facilitator in increasing the production of vegetable farming in the Nekmese Farmer Group averaged 2.31 (77.08%). The average score of the role of agricultural extension as a motivator is 2.52. (84.02%) and the average score of the role of extension workers as educators is 2.48 (82.64%). This shows that the role of agricultural extension workers as motivators and educators in improving vegetable farming in the Nekmese farmer group is classified as "playing a role". While the role of the extension worker as a facilitator is classified as "enough role". Efforts made by extension workers are advocating the use of modern technology, use of fertilizers, introducing farmers to the symptoms of various diseases or pests and what actions should be taken. The problem that is often found in the Nekmese farmer group is the lack of assistance with facilities and infrastructure, the lack of subsidies for fertilizers and also medicines for farmers.

The Effectiveness of the Role of Agricultural Extension Workers to Increase Rice Paddy Productivity in Asahan Regency

Asahan Regency occupies the 13th position out of 33 regencies/cities as a rice producer in North Sumatra Province the rice productivity results are relatively low so that it is a problem that needs to be resolved. Agricultural extension workers act as motivators, educators, facilitators and communicators. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of the role of agricultural extension agents on the productivity of paddy rice in Asahan Regency. The study was conducted in Asahan Regency, North Sumatra Province using primary data obtained from direct surveys and secondary data as supporting data using the Stratified Proportional Random Sampling method. The respondents were farmers from 3 sub-districts, namely Rawang Panca Arga, Sei Kepayang and Meranti districts. Data analysis using description analysis and Partial Least Square (PLS).

THE ROLE OF AGRICULTURAL EXTENSIONERS IN THE DYNAMICS OF FARMER GROUP IN TANJUNG MEDAN SUB DISTRICT, ROKAN HILIR DISTRICT

The importance of the role of agricultural extension workers is carried out to bring up human resources in Tanjung Medan District so that they are able and willing to move dynamically to manage and develop farming activities in order to create prosperity. The large number of passive farmer groups is a problem in today's agricultural institutions. Therefore, quality improvement in agricultural activities will be supported and created if farmer groups and extension workers work together to achieve common goals. This research was conducted to determine the level of the instructor's role, the level of group dynamics and the influence of the instructor's role on group dynamics. This study used a survey method with 114 farmers as respondents who were selected by cluster sampling. Data were analyzed using a Likert scale and SEM test using Amos 24. Agricultural extension workers had carried out their role very well because they were in the very high category, namely the role of extension workers as facilitators, innovators, motivators, dynamists, educators, and consultants. The dynamics of farmer groups are classified as very dynamic because they are in a very high category, namely group objectives, group structure, group functions, group coaching and development, group cohesiveness, group atmosphere and group effectiveness. Then the role of agricultural extension agents has a significant effect on the dynamics of farmer groups, which means that the increasing role of agricultural extension agents will increase the dynamics of farmer groups in Tanjung Medan Sub District.

Faktor-Faktor yang Memengaruhi Keputusan Adopsi Benih Padi Varietas Rojolele Srinuk oleh Petani Kecamatan Delanggu Kabupaten Klaten

<p><em>Rojolele Srinuk rice is a new variety developed by the National Nuclear Energy Agency (BATAN) with improved characteristics compared to its progenitor, Rojolele. This study investigates the internal and external factors of farmers who adopt the Rojolele Srinuk rice seed variety and those who do not. This study employs quantitative methodology. This investigation was conducted in Delanggu Sub-district, Klaten Regency. All of the participants in this investigation were rice farmers from the Delanggu Sub-district. The number of 48 respondents was chosen purposefully or intentionally as the sample size. They utilized descriptive analysis and logistic regression for analysis. Results indicated that factors such as age, education, farming experience, the nature of innovation, communication channels, and the function of agricultural extension agents were significant in determining adoption. Education, the essence of creation, and the role of agricultural extension agents substantially influence adoption decisions.</em></p>

Peran Penyuluh Pertanian Terhadap Kelompok Tani Victory Di Desa Kakaskasen Tiga Kecamatan Tomohon Utara Kota Tomohon

The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of extension workers in providing agricultural extension to the Victory Farmers Group. The research was carried out for 3 (three) months, starting from January to March 2023 in Kakaskasen Tiga Village, North Tomohon District, starting with preparation, data collection to the preparation of research reports. The data in the study are primary and secondary data. Primary data is a source of data obtained directly from the field by interviewing members of the Victory farmer group. Secondary data is data obtained from other sources, for example government agencies such as village halls. Sampling using the census method, the population that is the object of research is all members of the Victory Farmer Group including the management of both the chairman, secretary and treasurer in Kakaskasen 3 Village. The number of samples is all members of the farmer group, namely 10 people. The results showed that the average score of the role of extension agents with 3 elements was in the medium category, motivators, facilitators, and communicators and there was 1 element in the high category, namely educators, which showed that the assessment of farmer group members on the role of agricultural extension agents had an average score as a motivator of 2.25 which was in the medium category, the average score as a facilitator of 2.27 which was in the medium category, the average score as an educator of 2.53 which was in the high category, the average score as a communicator of 2.23 which was in the medium category.

Peran Penyuluh Pertanian Pada Kelompok Tani Matuari Di Kelurahan Paniki Bawah Kecamatan Mapanget Kota Manado

This study aims to describe the role of agricultural extension workers in the Matuari Farmer Group, Paniki Bawah Village, Mapanget District, Manado City. The sampling method in this study is the total sampling method. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive. The results showed that the role of agricultural extension workers in the Matuari Farmer Group, Paniki Bawah Sub-District, Manado City based on five roles, namely, the role of extension workers as facilitators was categorized as having a moderate role with a score of 40%, the role of extension workers as innovators was categorized as having a less role with a score of 20%, the role of extension workers as educators was categorized as sufficient. played a role with a score of 43%, the role of the extension worker as a motivator was categorized as having a very important role with a score of 80%, and the role of the extension worker as a catalyst was categorized as a very important role with a score of 100%, the role of agricultural extension agents in the Matuari Farmer Group obtained an overall score of 56.5% with a moderate role category.

PERAN PENYULUH PERTANIAN DALAM PENGENDALIAN HAMA PADA TANAMAN SAYURAN DI DESA LAWONUA KECAMATAN BESULUTU KABUPATEN KONAWE

The purpose of this research is to determine the role of agricultural extension workers in pest control in vegetable crops in Lawonua Village, Besulutu District, Konawe Regency. The research location was chosen on purpose (intentionally) with the knowledge that some residents of Lawonua Village, Besulutu District, Konawe Regency work as vegetable farmers. The research was conducted in August-September 2022 with a total of 11 informants consisting of 10 vegetable farmers and 1 extension worker. This study uses qualitative analysis. The results showed that the role of agricultural extension agents in controlling pests in vegetable crops had a good role as seen from the role of extension workers as facilitators, motivators and educators in helping to improve vegetable farming.

The Increasing Capacity of Rice Farmers through the Role Agricultural Extension

Agricultural extension agents are agents of change who are directly related to farmers The purpose of the extension is to change the behavior of farmers in terms of knowledge, attitudes, and skills so that farmers have a more prosperous life. Rice farmers in West Tojo District carry out farming activities that still rely on hereditary habits, causing farmers to lack the capacity to run food crop businesses, both technically in cultivation, harvesting, and marketing. The objectives of the study are (1) to determine the level of capacity of rice farmers in Kabalo Village Tojo Una-Una District and, (2) to determine the effect of the role of extension agents on increasing the capacity of rice farmers in Kabalo Village Tojo Una-Una District. This research was conducted from March 2020 to August 2020 in Kabalo Village West Tojo District Tojo Una-Una Regency. This study used a population sample of 56 rice farmers. Based on the results of this study, the role of agricultural extension agents had an effect on the success rate of rice farmers in Kabalo Village. Through increasing the role of extension workers, both facilitators, motivators, mediators, advisors, and communicators, could increase the capacity of farmers in managing capital, utilizing technology, labor, and marketing processes that benefit farmers.

Respon Petani Cengkeh terhadap Peranan Penyuluh Pertanian Lapangan di Desa Momalia Ii Kecamatan Posigadan Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Selatan

Clove farming is one of the main businesses of the majority of farmers in Momalia II Village, Posigadan District, Bolaang Mongondow Selatan Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the response of clove farmers to the role of Agricultural Extension Agents. Primary data were obtained from clove farmers in Momalia II Village, Posigadan District, Bolaang Mongondow Selatan Regency with a total sample of 71 clove farmers. The research used descriptive analysis and likert scale. The results showed that the response of farmers to the role of extension agents as motivators and educators was in the good category, the role as communicators and consultants were in the good category, and the role as facilitator was in the poor category.

Factors affecting the effectiveness of farmers’ group in Rembang Regency

This study aimed to analyze the influence of social factors, such as: social capital, leadership style, the role of extension agents and group cohesiveness toward the effectiveness of farmers’ group functions in Rembang Regency. The research location was determined by purposively. Respondents were selected by three cluster stages. There were 155 respondents. The regression analysis shows that social capital, leadership style, group cohesiveness, and the role of extension agents simultaneously and partially had significant influence toward the effectiveness of farmers’ group functions. Farmers’ group functions include: enhancing learning process, facilitating cooperative action and networking, and delivering assistance for production unit. It recommends to find activities to motivate farmers to joining farmers’ group. Moreover, it is also important to maximize the role of agricultural extension agents by providing training skill.

Roles extension agents in the dynamics of rice farmer groups in Taroada Village, Turikale District, Maros Regency

Agricultural instructors are tasked with assisting farmers in improving their standard of living through empowerment by developing human resources. Farmers’ perceptions of the role of agricultural extension agents in Taroada Village, Turikale District, Maros Regency

This study discusses farmers’ perceptions of the role of agricultural extension officers as communicators, facilitators, innovators, educators, and motivators in Taroada Village, Turikale District, Maros Regency. Farmers’ perceptions of extension activities determine the intensity of farmer participation. So it is hoped that the active role of extension agents in building trust in farmers is expected. This research took place from January to March. The data analysis method used is descriptive quantitative, where the data obtained from interviews with 138 respondents from all levels of the farmer class will be scored and explained descriptively to provide an overview of the role of extension agents for farmers. The results showed that agricultural instructors in Taroada Village, Turikale District, Maros Regency were sufficiently involved as communicators, facilitators, innovators, educators, and motivators.

PERSEPSI PETANI TERHADAP PERAN PENYULUH PERTANIAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRODUKTIVITAS USAHATANI JAGUNG (Zea mays, L) DI DESA GELONG KECAMATAN ADONARA TIMUR, KABUPATEN FLORES TIMUR

This research was conducted in Gelong Village, Adonara Timur District, East Flores Regency from August to September 2020. This study aims to determine; 1) Knowing the role of agricultural instructors in increasing the productivity of corn (Zea mays, L) farming in Gelong Village, East Adonara District, East Flores Regency, 2) Knowing farmer's perceptions of the role of agricultural instructors in increasing corn farming productivity in Gelong Village, East Adonara District, East Flores Regency. The determination of the location of this research was carried out deliberately based on the consideration that this location is one of the central areas of corn production. The population in this study were all corn farmers in Gelong Village, as many as 25 families. All of them were set as samples. To find out the first objective, the data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively, and to determine the second objective the data were analyzed descriptively using a Likert scale. The results of the data analysis showed that: 1) The role of agricultural extension agents was satisfactory in increasing the productivity of corn farming in Gelong Village. There are 5 roles played by agricultural extension agents related to efforts to increase maize productivity, namely: as a communicator, innovator, educator, facilitator, and motivator. 2) Farmers' perceptions of the role of agricultural extension agents in increasing maize farming productivity in Gelong Village, Adonara Timur District, East Flores Regency are quite satisfied with the percentage of achieving a maximum score of 58.96% which is in the range > 52 - 68. This shows the existing extension agents in the research location it has played its role well as communicator, educator, innovator, facilitator, and motivator in increasing the productivity of corn farming but this has not been done optimally.

PERSEPSI DAN SIKAP PETANI TERHADAP PERAN PENYULUH PERTANIAN DALAM PENGEMBANGAN USAHATANI SAWI (Brassica Juncea L) DI DESA NETPALA, KECAMATAN MOLLO UTARA, KABUPATEN TIMOR TENGAH SELATAN

This research on Farmer's Perceptions and Attitudes Toward the Role of Agricultural Extension in Mustard Farming Development was conducted in the village of Netpala, Mollon District, North Central Timor Regency in August 2019. This study aims to determine: the role of extension personnel; farmers 'perceptions ,farmers' attitudes. The method used in this research is a survey method. The research location was determined deliberately, the respondents were assigned as many as 52 people who were randomly selected. The types of data collected were primary data and secondary data. To determine the first objective, the data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and to determine the second and third objectives, the data were analyzed descriptively by using a Likert scale. The research result shows that; the role of extension workers in the development of mustard farming, according to the assessment of farmers, most farmers have felt the impact of extension activities. The perception of farmers on the role of agricultural extension agents in the development of mustard farming in Netpala Village, Mollo Utara District, South Central Timor Regency has a fairly good perception. with an average score of 53,84. the attitude of farmers towards the role of agricultural instructors in the development of mustard (Brassica Juncea L) farming in Netpala Village, Mollo Utara District, Timor Tengah Selatan Regency, has an agreeable attitude with an average score of 88,46. Therefore, it can be concluded that the mustard farmers in Netpala Village have a fairly good perception and agree with the role of agricultural extension agents in the development of mustard farming.

PERANAN PENYULUH PERTANIAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA KELEMBAGAAN KELOMPOK TANI PADI SAWAH PENERIMA BANTUAN RICE MILLING UNIT (RMU) DI KOTA BANDAR LAMPUNG

This study aims to analyze: 1) the level of the role of agricultural agents; 2) the level of institutional performance of farmer groups; 3) the relationship between the level of the role of agricultural extension agents and the institutional performance of rice farmer groups in the use of RMU in Bandar Lampung City. This research was conducted in the city of Bandar Lampung with 56 farmer respondents. Methods of data collection using a survey method, with descriptive analysis and using a non-parametric rank spearman correlation statistical test to test the hypothesis. The results showed that the role of agricultural extension agents in improving the institutionalization of rice farmer groups receiving RMU assistance was in the medium category, the institutional level of farmer groups in the use of RMU was in the medium category, and the role of agricultural instructors had a significant relationship with the institutional performance of farmer groups.Key words: role, extension agent, institutional, farmers.

Analysis up-stream agribusiness and counselling beef cattle development in Jember

The study was to analyse the upstream agribusiness subsystem (upstream agribusiness). Data collection methods used were interviews, observation and questionnaires. Data analysis used Capacity Analysis for Ruminant Livestock Population Increase (KPPTR). The results of this study are seen from SDA, Jember Regency is a location that is not suitable for beef cattle business because of its narrow land. Land availability in the provision of feed (Effective KPPTR), has a negative value of 679,727. The human resources of Jember Regency are quite potential for the development of beef cattle business because in general, breeders have the main job as farmers (55%), although their education is still low because the average formal education is SD (38.3%). In addition, the agricultural counselling However, the role of agricultural extension agents has been effective because farmers have joined the IB program. Overall, Jember Regency has the potential as an area for fattening or ready-to-slaughter cattle business because the presence of cattle in the area is only temporary so that it does not interfere with the carrying capacity of the land in providing feed for beef cattle.

PERSEPSI PETANI TENTANG PERAN PENYULUH PERTANIAN DALAM PENINGKATAN PENDAPATAN PETANI JAGUNG HIBRIDA

Agricultural extension agents have a strategic role in helping farmers to increase their farming. The role of agricultural extension agents includes fostering farmers in managing their farms effectively and efficiently so that they can increase farmers' income. Nunuk Baru Village is one of the corn commodity development areas that has received more attention in agricultural extension activities because of its potential productivity and planting area for corn. This study aims to identify the role of agricultural instructors for maize farmers and to analyze the influence of the role of agricultural instructors on the income level of maize farmers. The research design used is a quantitative approach with a survey method. The respondents of this research were 80 corn farmers. Methods of data analysis in this study using descriptive analysis using a sematic differential scale and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the role of agricultural extension agents in Nunuk Baru Village, Maja District, Majalengka Regency is categorized as very good in their role as a catalyst, communicator, consultant and organizer while as a motivator, educator and facilitator are categorized as good. The role of agricultural extension agents has no significant effect on the income of maize farmers in Nunuk Baru Village.

Factors Influencing the Entrepreneurial Capacity of Young Farmers for Farmer Succession

The entrepreneurial capacity of young farmers is an important indicator for realizing farmer succession. The research aimed to analysis descriptively entrepreneurial capacity and the factors influencing the entrepreneurial capacity of young farmers. The study was conducted in Cianjur and Majalengka Regencies, West Java, Indonesia. The study population was young farmers in Cianjur and Majalengka Regencies. A sample of 220 people consisted of 110 farmers in Cianjur and 110 farmers in Majalengka. Samples were selected using a cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected by interview using a questionnaire. Research variables consisted of individual characteristics (X1), access to information and communication technology (X2), external support (X3), the role of agricultural instructors (X4), and entrepreneurial capacity (Y). Data analysis techniques used were descriptive statistical techniques and multiple regression. The results of the study concluded that youth entrepreneurship capacity mostly belonged medium classification. Majority of young farmers had junior and senior high school education, the average length time of business was 5.8 years, majority of farmers had never attended training, had high and easy access to information and communication technology, perceptions and motivations was mostly classified as medium. The entrepreneurial capacity of young farmers was influenced by education, motivation, access to information and communication technology, external factors and the role of agricultural extension agents.
