Legal awareness helps individuals understand their rights and obligations and participate in law enforcement. Efforts to increase teenagers' legal awareness through citizenship education involve the integration of technology, criticism, open discussions, teacher training, legal counseling, legal reform, and law enforcement. Legal awareness and legal obedience are important in forming correct legal behavior, involving knowledge, attitudes and legal behavior patterns. Although Citizenship Education can help increase legal awareness in adolescents, challenges such as diverse interests, negative perceptions of the law, appropriate use of language, and connection to real life need to be addressed. This research was motivated by the less than optimal use of Edmodo learning media in citizenship lessons. Edmodo learning media is only used as a forum for giving assignments and searching for interactive videos. Interest is a state in a person, especially in students, with interest in students, students can do work happily and can get good results. With interest, especially in this era of globalization, someone can do work without coercion from anyone. The indicators of interest are feelings of joy, attention, knowledge, appreciation, interest, as well as desires and aspirations. With these interest indicators coming from students during lessons, for example students studying or studying something such as a subject, it can be said that the student has a high interest in learning in that learning or subject. This research aims to determine students' interest in learning citizenship education in the era of globalization and to determine the factors that influence students' interest in learning citizenship education. The research method used in this research is qualitative using systematic literature methods. From the results of research conducted by Penukis, it shows that students' interest in learning citizenship education is high.

This study aim for explore role education citizenship in form attitude tolerance students at school basic, with focus on integration values tolerance in curriculum, the role of teachers in the learning process, and influencing factors effectiveness learning citizenship for tolerance. The aim of this research is to provide an overview of the important role of citizenship education in developing the character of millennial children. The method used in this research is a literature review. Obtain data from existing books, journals, articles, literature, etc. related to the problem being studied. The results of this research show that citizenship education is not just a subject, but also includes values and becomes a standard in everyday life, so the role of citizenship education in forming the character of millennial children is very important in their lives. This shows that adab and norms, the supremacy of law, and the values of Pancasila. Citizenship education must continue to exist in schools and universities, otherwise it will affect the character development of our children, especially the millennial generation who will be the future heirs of our nation. This Millennial generation will also be a role model for their children and grandchildren. Through research it can be concluded that citizenship education is very important for character formation in the millennial generation. Character education is very important for the millennial generation, with the emergence of this research we can find out how influential education is. This research uses a case study method approach to analyze student perceptions about citizenship education and its impact on economic progress. Citizenship education is an important component in the development of individuals as responsible citizens, and has the potential to influence a country's economic sector. In this research, we conducted surveys and interviews with students from various backgrounds and majors at a university. The data obtained revealed diverse perceptions about citizenship education and how understanding of social and political issues influences their views about individual contributions to economic progress. The results of this research can provide valuable insight into the role of citizenship education in shaping students' thinking about economic progress and how such education can be improved to more effectively prepare students to become active and productive citizens in driving the country's economic growth. This research also identifies the potential for collaboration between educational institutions and the economic sector to advance a more effective and relevant citizenship education agenda.

The Role of Citizenship Education in Raising Awareness of Complying with Campus Rules and Regulations at UIN North Sumatra Medan

This research aims to analyze the role of citizenship education in raising awareness of obeying campus rules and regulations at the North Sumatra State Islamic University, Medan. This type of research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis study method. Data collection used observation, interviews and document study methods. Next, the data was analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research conclude that citizenship education plays an important role in shaping student awareness and behavior regarding campus rules and regulations at UIN North Sumatra Medan. Through citizenship education courses, students gain a deep understanding of the rights and obligations as citizens, the importance of active participation in democratic life, and how to transcend differences to achieve understanding and peace. Furthermore, the role of citizenship education in awareness of obeying campus rules and regulations at UIN North Sumatra is to create students who are disciplined, intelligent and responsible in living campus life. Students become more aware of their rights and obligations as citizens, as well as respecting differences and following applicable rules.

Indonesian Abstract: Tujuan dibuatnya tulisan ini untuk membangun semangat mahasiswa sebagai agent of change dalam membela negaranya sendiri. Permasalahan tersebut perlu diatasi dengan program kesadaran akan Bela Negara. Dalam kondisi saat ini bela negara harus diartikan lebih tindak nyata. Bela negara tidak hanya diidentikkan dengan angkat senjata, tetapi harus diartikan lebih luas, yaitu membela negara dalam berbagai hal disesuaikan dengan kemampuan dan profesi masing-masing. Ikut mengharumkan nama bangsa melalui prestasi dalam berbagai bidang juga termasuk bela negara. Di Indonesia, usaha bela negara diatur secara tegas dalam Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 pasal 27 ayat 3 yang berbunyi “setiap warga negara berhak dan wajib ikut serta dalam upaya pembelaan negara”. Dengan demikian setiap warga Negara atau mahasiswa diharapkan untuk ikut berpartisipasi aktif dalam membela negara. English Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to build the enthusiasm of students as agents of change in defending their own country. These problems need to be overcome with awareness programs for Defending the Country. In the current conditions defending the country must be interpreted as more real action. Defending the state is not only identified with taking up arms, but must be interpreted more broadly, namely defending the country in various ways tailored to the abilities and professions of each. Join the name of the nation through achievements in various fields, including defending the country. In Indonesia, state defense efforts are strictly regulated in the 1945 Constitution article 27 paragraph 3 which reads citizen has the right and obligation to participate in efforts to defend the state. Educational leadership and citizenship education: actors' visions and practices

This article focuses on the relationship between school leadership and citizenship education in Chile, after the 2016 Citizenship Education Law, which reframed the scope of school experience in this field. Qualitative primary data from a sample of schools with a high indicator of Citizen Participation and Formation measured by the official Education Quality Agency, is analysed in order to describe and examine leadership styles and practices. Results from interviews with school head-masters and head-mistresses, teachers and students, show that educational leadership has a relevant although indirect role in citizenship education, especially through a sense of identity and a sense of institutional belonging. On the other hand, the implementation of the Citizenship Education Law has not, as yet, changed the reductionism of the area to the subject and teacher of History, or the emphasis on values over political literacy, that characterize prevailing practices. The study reveals that the Citizenship Education Plan demanded by the law, has had only minor consequences on current school practices, but there is a promising potential in terms of greater visibility and reflection in this area.Â

UNIVERSITY STUDENTS' ASSOCIATIONS AND THEIR ROLE IN CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION IN CHINA

This article presents a study about students’ associations in China and their role in citizenship education of young people. The study has taken place at Northeast Normal University, China and focused on two students’ associations. The research questions address to find out in what kind of the association activities students participate, what knowledge, skills, attitudes and values they obtain, and how these competences are related to citizenship education. The findings have shown that by participating in student association activities students acquire various practical and professional knowledge and skills. After joining the associations there have been great changes in their values and attitudes towards society, work and life. Student association activities enhance students’ voluntary actions, social and moral responsibility, civic values, and students’ personal development. This research is useful for studies on understanding of citizenship education in the Asia Pacific Region. It contributes to the pedagogy of citizenship education in informal curriculum activities. The Role of Citizenship Education in Achieving Peace in Colombia José Manuel Franco Serrano, Ed.D Abstract The article starts with a reflection of the major social ills afflicting our country: violence and corruption, as well as the historic opportunity that unfastens if the Colombian government can implement the peace accord with the Fuerzas Armadas Revolutionaries de Colombia (FARC) and sign a peace accord with Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN). It shows the importance of the development of the ethical dimension in citizenship education, pinpointing some of its features. The text also mentions some regulatory elements within the national and international contexts that address the horizon which we can, and must, head towards as a nation. In addition to, the author highlights some examples of concrete contributions in the field of civic education for peace, with an emphasis on the various dissertation projects developed by some students of the Master on Pedagogy program at the Universidad Industrial de Santander. Singapore General Election 2015 and the Role of Citizenship Education

This article explores the role of education, in particular citizenship education, in shaping the Singapore electorate. An understanding of the history of citizenship education helps to shed light on the contemporary political culture in Singapore. The extent to which democratic citizenship education has been taught in schools since 1958 is explored. Singapore’s citizenship education has consistently stressed the duties and responsibilities of citizenship, patriotism, national identity and moral values—with the goal of nation-building and legitimising the People’s Action Party state. This reflective historical piece on Singapore’s educational history adds a relatively unexplored facet to the discussions on the general election 2015 results as well as Singapore’s subsequent political development. The results of the 2015 general election in Singapore, seen in this light, are not so surprising, as they reflect the success of the state’s citizenship education in shaping the current political culture.
