PERANAN PENDIDIKAN KEWARGANEGARAAN DALAM MEMEBANGUN SEMANGAT MAHASISWA DALAM BELA NEGARA (The Role of Citizenship Education in Building Student Enthusiasm in Defending the Country)

Abstract

Indonesian Abstract: Tujuan dibuatnya tulisan ini untuk membangun semangat mahasiswa sebagai agent of change dalam membela negaranya sendiri. Permasalahan tersebut perlu diatasi dengan program kesadaran akan Bela Negara. Dalam kondisi saat ini bela negara harus diartikan lebih tindak nyata. Bela negara tidak hanya diidentikkan dengan angkat senjata, tetapi harus diartikan lebih luas, yaitu membela negara dalam berbagai hal disesuaikan dengan kemampuan dan profesi masing-masing. Ikut mengharumkan nama bangsa melalui prestasi dalam berbagai bidang juga termasuk bela negara. Di Indonesia, usaha bela negara diatur secara tegas dalam Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 pasal 27 ayat 3 yang berbunyi “setiap warga negara berhak dan wajib ikut serta dalam upaya pembelaan negara”. Dengan demikian setiap warga Negara atau mahasiswa diharapkan untuk ikut berpartisipasi aktif dalam membela negara. English Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to build the enthusiasm of students as agents of change in defending their own country. These problems need to be overcome with awareness programs for Defending the Country. In the current conditions defending the country must be interpreted as more real action. Defending the state is not only identified with taking up arms, but must be interpreted more broadly, namely defending the country in various ways tailored to the abilities and professions of each. Join the name of the nation through achievements in various fields, including defending the country. In Indonesia, state defense efforts are strictly regulated in the 1945 Constitution article 27 paragraph 3 which reads citizen has the right and obligation to participate in efforts to defend the state. Thus every citizen or student is expected to participate actively in defending the country.
