Summary. The aim of the study is to investigate the peculiarities of sanitary aviation work in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Materials and research methods. The subject of the study is the work of the Disaster Medicine Service of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia); the object of the study is the volume and structure of sanitary tasks performed during the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19. Research methods were analytical methods, methods of expert evaluation and mathematical analysis. Results of the study and their analysis. A comparative analysis of the main performance indicators of the Republican Center for Disaster Medicine of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in 2020-2022 is presented. The results of the study indicate that during the spread of a new coronavirus infection COVID-19 the air ambulance service of the Republic worked with increased workload. Under the conditions of COVID-19 pandemic, emergency medical care and medical evacuation of not only patients with severe form of new coronavirus infection, but also of patients with other nosologic forms of diseases requiring emergency medical intervention were provided. The conclusion about the acute urgency of using sanitary aviation in vast sparsely populated areas of other regions is made.
