Therefore, in the era of modernization, it is important to revive Islamic values ​​in education. The research method uses a method (library research) by collecting several literature related to the problems and objectives of the research. AbstractMuch knowledge production, both academic and non‐academic, is driven by a need to simplify the world in order to enable people to navigate the complexities of everyday life. Such simplifications not only risk offering less reliable representations of the world, they can also turn into disruptive and harmful images of the world. In this article, students and teachers in the field of religion and theology are encouraged to value scientific research as a form of knowledge production that complicates things. In an age in which scientific knowledge is constantly contested and in which it competes with other forms of knowledge production (including problematic ones such as fake news, conspiracy theories, stereotyped representations of religion and religious others, and poorly executed journalism), it is important for students to understand that complicating things is a key step in developing reliable knowledge on religion and the (ir)religious other. This article, written for students starting out in the field of theology and religion and for those who teach them, explains how complicating things takes shape in scientific research by discussing three basic elements: (1) not taking things at face value, (2) understanding science as knowledge production and reflecting on science as production, (3) and realizing that there is no absolute certainty.

This article aims to explore the biographies of three early modernist figures in Indonesia, namely Cokroaminoto, Agus Salim, and Mohammad Natsir to find the typical roots of modern Islamic organizational movements in Indonesia. This research is a qualitative type with a biographical narrative approach. We explore references related to the biographies of these three figures to find the root of character for modern Islamic organizations in Indonesia. The research findings show that in Cokroaminoto's biographical narrative, it is found that the organizational control model requires administrative management skills, external relationship, and conflict management skills. Agus Salim's biographical narrative shows that he has pioneered the andragogy education system in the cadre of organizational members. Natsir's biographical narrative has shown the patron of the establishment of a modern Islamic school: by reducing the rote method, accommodating general education, and appreciating art education. To improve learning achievement in Christian Religious Education, it is necessary to have innovative learning models that can motivate students to be active in learning. The Numbered Heads Together Learning Model is the implementation of a learning process in which the teacher divides students into several heterogeneous groups and gives numbering to each group member to work on each given problem. So that the application of the Numbered Heads Together Learning Model can improve the learning outcomes of Christian Religious Education in class IV SDK Scriptura Bengel, Talaud Islands Regency. The research was conducted on fourth-grade students at SDK Scriptura Bengel consisting of 7 girls and 4 boys with a total of 11 people. This research was conducted from April to May 2022. The method uses a class action research design with the stages of Planning, Action Implementation, Observation, and Reflection. The data were analyzed using the completeness technique of learning outcomes with the formulaKB=T/T1 x 100%. The results showed that the application of the Numbered Heads Together Learning model could improve the learning outcomes of Christian Religious Education from cycle I to cycle II with the subject "God is My Source of Strength" in class IV SDK Scriptura Bengel, Talaud Islands Regency.</span>

Literature research is used as a method in this study, namely by collecting and analyzing the interpretations of the verses used. The results of this study are QS. al-An'am (6): 108 gives advice to Muslims not to insult God and the teachings of other religions even though they are emotional or feel disturbed. Not only in cases of idols but also in other religions. On the other hand, Muslims must communicate in a polite and gentle way so that sympathy from other religions arises and good relations are established.

Pemertahanan Adat Bali dan Moderasi Beragama pada Masyarakat Kampung Bali, Kabupaten Langkat

This article aims to determine the maintenance of the Balinese language by the third generation of Langkat Balinese transmigrants, to determine the religious moderation of Muslims and Hindus in the Balinese Village community in Langkat Regency, to determine the maintenance of Balinese customs by the third generation of the Balinese tribe in Langkat Regency. This research problem is focused in the third generation of Balinese tribal people who live in North Sumatra and Islamic communities in Kampung Bali. In order to approach this problem, customary theory and religious moderation were used, data was collected through literature surveys, observations and interviews and analyzed qualitatively using an ethnographic approach. This research concludes that the Balinese people who have lived in North Sumatra since 1963 have reached several generations, currently they have reached the third and fourth generations, the use of the Balinese language in the third generation has experienced a significant decline, but in terms of maintaining customs, many traditions are still maintained despite simplification. . The Balinese Hindu community also carries out religious moderation which creates harmony between religious communities. The attitudes of the people of Kampung Bali Langkat are in line with the moral teachings of the Hindu religion, namely Tat Twam Asi. Religious moderation is also carried out by Muslims according to the principles of the Islamic religion.

Tradition, Social Values, and Fiqh of Civilization: Examining the Nyadran Ritual in Nganjuk, East Java, Indonesia

This research focuses on examining the Nyadran ritual in Sono Ageng Village, Nganjuk Regency, approached through the relationship between tradition, social norms, and fiqh of civilization. The study used a qualitative approach with phenomenology as a method, utilizing John F. Haught's theory on the relationship between religion and culture, and both primary and secondary data. This study has three findings: First, Nyadran is an annual tradition containing the meaning of slametan, prayers, means to strengthen social relations, and respect for ancestors or forefathers who have greatly contributed to establishing the Sono Ageng Village. Second, although Nyadran was initially known to the public as a local tradition, subsequent developments reveal that Nyadran underwent a process of acculturation with the values and teachings of the Islamic religion. The relationship between religion and culture in the Nyadran tradition is formed through a process of contact and confirmation. Third, from a Fiqh of Civilization perspective, the values contained in Nyadran includes gratitude for Allah's blessings, prayers for ancestors, a place for friendship, and a true transformation of social values in line with the visions of Fiqh of civilization. The implication of this study is the maintaining traditions and social harmony within the paradigm of Fiqh of Civilization to create an attitude of tolerance and moderation in the life of a pluralistic society.

Effectiveness of Integrated Al-Islam and Muhammadiyahan Learning Semester Holiday Internship Program (PMLS) at Persyarikatan as Strengthening Understanding of Muhammadiyah Ideology

Islamic education in higher education through learning Al Islam and Muhammadiyah (AIKA) plays a very important role as the goal of national education is to produce graduates who have faith and devotion to God Almighty, especially facing future challenges, the need to strengthen Islamic ideology. AIKA education is a conscious and planned effort to believe in and understand the teachings of the Islamic religion in theory. The implementation of the results of strengthening understanding of Muhammadiyah ideology which contains Islamic and Muhammadiyah values is carried out by integrating learning with the semester holiday internship program (PMLS) at the organization. The aim of this research is to describe the effectiveness of AIKA learning which is integrated with PMLS as a means of strengthening understanding of Muhammadiyah ideology. The research subjects were 42 ta`awun students (students who received full scholarships from Muhammadiyah Bangkabelitung University) who were distributed to Muhammadiyah Business Charities (AUM). This research is qualitative descriptive. Data was collected from documentation, interviews and questionnaires in the form of average calculations, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman Model triangulation. AIK knowledge from the lessons that have been followed and then implementing PMLS can provide meaningful knowledge and experience. Based on the average results of the questionnaire on understanding Muhammadiyah ideology, it was found that 35% Very Understand, 64% Understand, 1% do not understand Muhammadiyah ideology. It can be concluded that AIKA learning which is integrated with PMLS has very good effectiveness when used for learning, especially in understanding AIKA and strengthening Muhammadiyah ideology for ta`awun students at Bangkabelitung Muhammadiyah University.

Teachers’ Digital Literacy Ability to Improve Islamic Religion Education Learning in Islamic Boarding School

This study aims to explain the ability of teachers’ digital literacy in the discipline of Islamic Religious Education at MTs Nahdlatul Khairaat Islamic Boarding School, Labuan, Donggala Regency. The type of research used is qualitative research using data collection techniques. The data analysis process in this study uses NVivo software. The results of this study indicate that the digital literacy skills of teachers in the discipline of Islamic Religious Education at MTs Nahdlatul Khairaat Labuan Islamic Boarding School have been going quite well, especially in terms of teachers’ understanding in using LCD projectors, utilization of information technology, and PowerPoint.

Interest in learning plays an important role in the student learning process. Students who have a low interest in learning, the quality of learning will decrease and will affect student learning outcomes. The purpose of this research was conducted to describe students' interest in learning Christian education in class VII SMP Negeri 3 Palangka Raya and find out the factors that cause a lack of interest student learning in participating in Christian Religion education lessons in class VII SMP Negeri 3 Palangka Raya. Qualitative research approach with descriptive research. Data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires and documentation. The results showed 1) 5 (39%) students with low learning interest, 5 (38%) students with moderate learning interest and 3 (23%) students with high learning interest. 2) Factors causing the lack of interest in student learning, from internal factors, health, disabilities and internal motivation. External factors include teaching tools and teaching methods.

This study aims to explore the meaning of the professionalism of Air Traffic Controller at Soekarno Hatta Airport from Islamic perspective. Air Traffic Control is a profession whose goal is to provide air traffic control services, especially for aircraft flight traffic, such as airplanes, helicopters and others. As a service provider who has a big responsibility for safety, it is only natural for Air Traffic Controls to work professionally. The research method used is qualitative research with a concept analysis approach. The results of the study shows that to ensure aviation safety as the main goal of service, an air traffic controller is required to work professionally in accordance with expertise, regulations and work discipline. The professionalism of air traffic controllers in Islam is that an air traffic controller must have the right intentions and have the spirit to perform services based on his knowledge expertise and its application in daily work. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for air traffic controllers in improving their ability to become a professional air traffic controllers referring to the teachings of the Islamic religion so that they have implications for service quality and achievement of service objectives.

The Interdisciplinary Pictorial Material of Greek Religious Textbooks - A Chance to Meet the Otherness

Abstract Introduction:Religious textbooks are always at the front of the Greek educational reality, following the broader tendency of a school study grounded on textbook culture. The present paper focuses on the visual structure of the Greek secondary religious textbooks (in the three grades) and answers the following questions: What kinds of visuals are used in the textbooks? What exactly does the substance of these things consist of? Where can they go, exactly? Moreover, how do linguistic and visual structures relate to one another? On the other hand, the “otherness” problem is also analyzed through the results provided by the implication of the mixed method used. The latter is accumulated in the assumption of the dynamics of the visuals and their capacity to stimulate the participation of the students through their content. The otherness definition follows two main paths: one of an interdisciplinary approach during the learning process and another concerning the personal stimulation of all students through an inter-social and interreligious level. The hypothesis is confirmed through the interesting results of the present research. Methods: For research purposes, it has been used Atlas ti. The software was available for the qualitative type of research. However, there are various accounts of interesting quantitative magnitudes for comparisons. Results:The primary outcome focuses on a frequency balance among the grades using traditional and more modern visuals in their textbooks. Today's people seem to lost their direction and guidelines in life as a result from the demands of life which are getting heavier day by day so that a tendency for character emerges individualistic and less concerned about others. Apart from having six major religions, Indonesia is also very rich in values of local wisdom that is noble and very relevant to the sacred teachings of religion in life of the people of South Sulawesi, especially the Bugis people, have local wisdom in the form of literature works both in the form of speeches and Lontars. One of the works of Lontara literature which contains values ​​of Ethics and Decency is Lontara Pappaseng. Lontara Pappaseng contains many ethical and decency values we need to explore and develop so that it becomes a guideline for mankind, especially for the future of our young generation’s life in the society and the nation. In Lontara Pappaseng contains of advices in the form of human values, justice, courage, truth, honesty, loyalty, assertiveness and others that can be used as guidance and guidelines in everyday life in order to create a harmonious life both in household life, society and in the life of the nation and state. The research method used is a qualitative research approach with phenomenological method that is collecting data with participant observation to know the essential phenomena of participants in their life experiences because of this research focus on peeling study issues related to Ethical Values ​​(Tata Susila) contained in Lontara Pappaseng Toriolo and its meaning, in addition to this research as well using a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through literature study by tracing pappaseng lontara manuscripts and documentation studies. The data source used is the Lontara script in Buginese language with the Lontara script, however in this article the lontara script used is the manuscript that has been collected by the Buginese writer and humanist (translated into Indonesian). The existence of local wisdom values ​​in the form of Pappaseng is expected to be able to provide reinforcement of the functions of religion as a regulator of social obligation’s traffic through orders and prohibitions that are expected to materialize a peaceful social life.
